There are so many things running through my mind right now, first and foremost is how beautiful this love story was. Romance at it's finest, because let me tell you fairy tales can come true!
I have been patiently waiting for Eve and Miles' story thankfully we didn't have to wait to long because these two needed to be together. There has been this love/hate relationship that the two have in the past books but we just don't understand why. Well buckle up because you are in for one heck of a ride!
Eve is a true romantic she wears her big heart on her sleeve and it hasn't been a secret that she is head over heels for Miles, but what has been a secret is why he gets pissy every time he sees her. Let's just say that he has reason to...if only in his own head.
Do you believe in Fairy Tales? How about the Hopeless Romantic, do you believe only women hold that title or men can as well? I have a feeling you will be pleasantly surprised about a lot of things with this beautifully written story. I wanted to devour it and savor every moment at the same time. Miles is my new Book Boyfriend and I have to say it's going to be hard to push him out of that spot.
Besotted is book three in the Carmel Cove Series and can be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading the series in order because there is a side story line that runs through the books that I personally feel will enhance each of the books as you read them.

Gorgeous, emotional and sexy read!

I adore a broody, possessive alpha male and Miles Madison fits the bill perfectly! Once upon a time, Miles was Mr Romantic. Unfortunately, love had burnt him and made a fool of him. Nowadays, he’s content with one-night stands – no strings, no mess, no expectations. However, Eve Williams was a bit of a problem for him and he generally avoided her, even though his eyes always sought her out whenever she was near. She was a ‘forever’ kind of girl and everyone knew that she was looking for a HEA. A moment of weakness led to one slow dance and one scorching kiss between them, but then he shattered her hopes and drew a line between them. Unfortunately, in a small town like Carmel, she was everywhere he went taunting him as something he couldn’t have.
”I was afraid I wouldn’t know my Prince Charming when he got here because my butterflies were too busy wanting a man who wasn’t interested.”
Eve has been saving herself for Prince Charming, who would one day sweep her off her feet but, in the meantime, she can’t help her infatuation with moody Miles. Oh my gosh! I loved this story. On the surface, Miles and Eve were like chalk and cheese but the truth was that they were both soft-hearted, vulnerable and looking for the same type of forever happiness. Poor Miles was so stunted by his past experience and had massive walls around his heart, but Eve’s sweetness, innate goodness, and honesty seeped right under those defences. I adored Eve! She was indomitable. I loved that she didn’t let setbacks stop her from pursuing her dreams. She had gentle strength, conviction and a steadfastness that blew Miles away. The two of them had chemistry in spades. There was a magnetism between them that was plain for all to see. Miles’s possessive and protective streak was a mile wide where Eve was concerned and, let’s be honest, it was hella hot! This story was sexy, beautiful and angsty, with a touch of danger. Such a fabulous read!

Let’s talk about “Besotted by Dr Rebecca Sharp”, third book in the Carmel Cove series.

One of the things I like the most in this series is that it mixes a lot of romance, friendship, love and a good amount of mystery and suspense. Since book one, apart from the main couple, there’s also this background story that keeps developing that intrigue me so much and honestly is one of the reasons that I keep coming back to this series. But not only this, of course, Eve and Miles are such an addictive couple, I was invested in them from page one.
No one could deny their chemistry and the attraction they feel, but they’ve came to each other’s lives at the wrong time. Eve wants her forever, the fairytale and she sees this in him, Miles, the guy who once believed in forever but now against as it was the plague. The guy was really hurt in the past and with every reveal of what happened to him I felt more heartbroken for him. But once these two opposite people suddenly can’t keep far enough, it’s an explosion. Add in the mix, the awesome Kona, his crazy puppy!
Going through this amazing story I was pretty sure what would be the twist by the end, there was some clues here and there, and I was happy that it payed off. However, I was totally not expecting that second twist! Holy molly! Way to keep me on the edge of my seat!! Just thinking about it, it made me want to read all over again. I can’t even start about the epilogue, that was just perfect! I need more from this series right now!

Another winner in our book! We really enjoyed
the characters this time around the cast was full of heart and soul and talk about heartbreak and pain this story was full of it.
Evie was a character who believes in fairy tales but, her knight only believes in one-night stands and not forever but, what they do have in common is a lot of chemistry and a lot of hotness! This couple was absolutely perfect for one another in every way. Eve was an outright sweetheart with a heart of gold. Miles is broken and hasn't been able to let go of his past and if he does not find a way to let go of it he is going to miss out on his future.
Miles was one of those characters you want to hate but, for some reason, you just can't and throughout the entire story we might have wanted to slap him silly most of the time but, in the end, his grand gesture to Evie made him redeemable.
Overall we loved the story it was packed with sorrow and pain but, also hopes and dreams. The cartel is making its presence more known in Carmel Cove more than ever, and it's about time for the town to lay a siege and eradicate them once and for all. The story had the perfect ending to a well-written story. We are really loving this series it has awesome characters and with each new story, we get to fall in love all over again with its characters.

Miles has learnt the hard way that love and relationships are for other people and not for him. He will focus on his business and keep his interactions with woman casual and uncomplicated. He is attracted to Eve so sticking to the rules he has set and keeping his distance may be the biggest challenge of all.
Eve has a big heart, but she also has an inner strength which is exactly what Miles needs to help him heal from the past. Their journey is filled with emotion, heat and some intrigue which leaves the reader invested in the story and the series.

4-1/2 Stars!!
Miles & Evie’s story was so great. It was the perfect addition to the Carmel Cove series. While half the time I wanted to slap Miles upside the head, he did make up for it in big ways. I almost like him more than Mick. Eve was such a determined, & strong woman. She went after everything she wanted & I loved that about her.
I loved the surprise near the end, it was perfect for these two. The cartel has definitely upped their game in this book & im looking forward to finding out what happens next in the coming books. I’m also pretty surprised by whose book is next since based on the hints in this book I thought it’d be a different couple. Either way I’m looking forward to the rest of the books in this series!

Eve believes in happily forever after while Miles believes that it’s better to be left alone. The both are attracted to each other but Eve wants more than Miles will promise to offer her so she tries hard to move on with her life but she can’t seem to truly let him go. Being a bitter person that never thinks love exists he wants to live life the way he wants and being able to leave whenever he wants but his attraction to Eve threatens his lifestyle. As they try to navigate their feelings, lives, and everything else events happen that tear them apart. Can they navigate this new thing brewing between them or will the past haunt them forever? I loved Miles he was such a good soul but had been hurt so bad before he didn’t think he would ever find his happy and Eve was perfection with a smile on her face, working hard, and always fighting for those she loves. I can��t wait for more!!!!

Steam, romance and a touch of suspense underneath it all.
Even though this is the third book in the Carmel Cove series, it’s the first one that I have read, and Author Dr Rebecca Sharp has me all kinds of intrigued as to what has been happening so far. They are all stand-a-lone stories for each couple, but the characters are interconnecting and there is an underlying plot thread. Don’t get me wrong, if you, like me are thinking of starting with this third book, go for it because I didn’t feel like I was coming in halfway through the party. She has done a fantastic job of catching me up as a new reader, yet she’s left me salivating for more and interested enough to go back and read the first two.
Evie and Miles had so much tension between them, and even as Miles thought he was doing Evie a favour in denying both of them a chance at a relationship, I still couldn’t help but love his emotionally damaged character. What had happened in his past?
I felt completely gutted for him in his choice to live such a shallow existence of alcohol and meaningless one-night-stands, because he’d all but given up on the idea of true love and a permanent relationship. He was grieving for what he believed he could no longer have, and the openly honest and artful Evie was his heart’s nemesis.
She was simply an amazing character, and one I highly admired. She was the complete package of beauty, patience and enticing promises of love and forever. I loved her hard work ethic and the way she worked her yoga philosophy into her whole life’s outlook. She was the perfect person to heal Miles; if he’d let her. This quote from Proverbs describes her perfectly: “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
Underpinning this steamy and chemistry ridden push-me-pull-you relationship between Miles and Evie is the unresolved suspense of the criminal cartel that is moving into their vicinity. Girls are going missing, and Evie’s sister has something going on, so I’m telling you now that I’ll be making sure I’m ready for the next book in this series. I can’t wait! 4.5 Stars

I loved this story. It is everything I have come to expect from a Rebecca Sharp novel and I didn’t want my time with Miles and Eve to ever end!
Miles is the kind of man I’d want as my forever and I saw all the amazing qualities he possesses that also made him Eve’s choice too. However, this good and honest but rather stubborn man has built a wall of steel around his heart and he was not going to be easily persuaded to risk knocking down those walls even for the chance of finding a ‘happily ever after’ with the girl who had caught his eye. I so desperately wanted everything and more for the man who stole my heart early on in this book.
Eve is the most incredible character and one that I would love to have as a friend. I admire her positivity. It was a pleasure to learn of her dreams and goals for the future and I also adored that even when a situation was likely to make things difficult for her, she still put others before herself. She deserves her fairy tale and I hoped that Miles would eventually see that forever’s can and do happen and that they can be amazing.
I love the way that the author is writing this series. The cast of characters ensure that the storyline is told, understood and enjoyed perfectly. Some parts of this book were real page turners as I desperately needed to know how a scene was going to conclude. There is a continuation of a story plot happening throughout and I cannot wait to see what happens next! The setting of this series is beautiful and I hope to one day visit Carmel Cove or a place that reminds me of it.
Besotted is another great story in this series which I recommend to you to read. Cammie’s story is next and I think I may need tissues for that one!!
Miles is the kind of man I’d want as my forever and I saw all the amazing qualities he possesses that also made him Eve’s choice too. However, this good and honest but rather stubborn man has built a wall of steel around his heart and he was not going to be easily persuaded to risk knocking down those walls even for the chance of finding a ‘happily ever after’ with the girl who had caught his eye. I so desperately wanted everything and more for the man who stole my heart early on in this book.
Eve is the most incredible character and one that I would love to have as a friend. I admire her positivity. It was a pleasure to learn of her dreams and goals for the future and I also adored that even when a situation was likely to make things difficult for her, she still put others before herself. She deserves her fairy tale and I hoped that Miles would eventually see that forever’s can and do happen and that they can be amazing.
I love the way that the author is writing this series. The cast of characters ensure that the storyline is told, understood and enjoyed perfectly. Some parts of this book were real page turners as I desperately needed to know how a scene was going to conclude. There is a continuation of a story plot happening throughout and I cannot wait to see what happens next! The setting of this series is beautiful and I hope to one day visit Carmel Cove or a place that reminds me of it.

Gah, my heart is so full! Eve and Miles were SO GOOD!
I have been waiting for this book, ever since I first noticed the tension between Miles and Eve.
He was a bit of a mystery to me, I couldn’t understand what was keeping him from Eve. The attraction was there, the desire, the chemistry - so what was holding him back? Now I know, I understand.
Eve is the most amazing character.
Kind, caring, loving, loyal, selfless and PATIENT.
I admired her strength and optimism, even in the most heartbreaking situations.
However, there is much more to this book than just their struggle for their Fairytale. And those things left me reeling.
Steam, suspense, heartbreak and joy, this book shows you the full gamut of emotions.

What a beautiful story I’ve just read. So romantic. My favorite of this series.
When I read Mick’s book (Miles’ twin) I was intrigued to know Miles’ book because he was so broken. Dr. Sharp did not disappoint. Love the book so much.

I love that Eve is focused on building her dream, her own yoga studio. When Miles shows up in Carmel Cove, she finds herself drawn to this intense man that is hiding so many secrets. Miles is running from his pain. He thought he had found his forever only to realize the person he loved, didn’t love him back and even committed the worse betrayal to him. Now, he second guesses himself and is working to build a solitary life. The one person that keeps derailing his plans is Eve. There is a spark in her that he can’t deny and is constantly drawn to but he fights every step of the way. Eve knows that fighting for Miles is the right decision. I love how these two clash as they work through their issues. I was right there with them through this journey. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Absolutely magical! This is my first book by this author and I absolutely loved it from start to finish! The relationship of Miles and Evie was passionate, intense and angsty all rolled into one. I was able to feel every moment of pain and suffering by Miles yet also hear and feel the innocence of Evie. This pair were absolutely perfect for one another! Loved the hea!!!

Eve is looking for forever. She isn’t interested in one-night stands or unfaithful partners. Even if she doesn’t marry her next boyfriend, she wants a partner who is serious about their relationship. Then, she meets Miles. Miles makes it clear from the first time they meet that he can’t give anyone forever. He can only promise one night, and that’s one night Eve can’t accept. She thinks she just needs space to get over him, but it’s hard to find that space when he seems to be everywhere that she is week after week. Will she end up getting her chance at forever with the man who never leaves her mind?
I came in not knowing what kind of romance this would be. I worried that this would turn into one of those stories where the male love interest repeatedly tore the female down until he magically found out that he had feelings for her. Luckily, Miles went about things slightly differently.
Miles actually had a good reason not to trust love. After being burned by a very long-term relationship, he had lost all hope for the future. Even though he feels a pull to Eve, one he hasn’t felt in a long time, he can’t give her forever. He doesn’t even want to try to. Nevertheless, Eve keeps running into him, and she makes it harder and harder to keep walking away. These characters definitely had one of the best “enemies to lovers” stories that I’ve read! Sharp writes them perfectly. Miles isn’t horribly horrific to Eve, even when they are “enemies.” He just keeps pushing her away, respecting the fact that she can’t do a one-night-stand with him. Even so, he can’t help the way he feels for her and ends up slowly falling for her further.
Eve had such a good heart. She never complained about anything. When her sister needed her to move out quickly so she could house more women in need in her home, Eve didn’t hesitate to take on another job. It seemed rather unrealistic how she was working 2 jobs, running yoga classes, and still had time to have romantic encounters with Miles. She made it work though! I also really loved reading about her relationship with her sister. As I haven’t read all the books in the Carmel Cove series, I don’t know if her sister has her own story coming up. I definitely want her to find happiness, as well as find out what large secret she is keeping from her sister.
Eve may have been inexperienced with love, but she didn’t let Miles walk all over her or force her out of anything. If she needed a job, she was going to take the job whether Miles would be there or not! Even though she was sweet, she definitely wasn’t a weak main character. Once she got past being nervous around Miles and started teasing him back, I loved reading her character grow and become more confident around him, even though he kept being stubborn and not giving in to his feelings.
The only reason why I took a star off my rating was that some of Miles behavior during certain arguments in the story made me start to dislike his character. Even though this was supposed to be enemies to lovers, I feel like there’s always a line that shouldn’t be crossed. If that line gets crossed, the relationship can end up being toxic. The incidents weren’t that bad, but it did take me out of the romance a little sometimes.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a new adult romance novel to indulge in.

Where are my Bridgerton fans at? All bajillion of you. You know how Simon and Daphne have that incredible dynamic yet somehow are forbidden loves? And you know how he makes us all think he doesn't want her yet he BURNS for her? Are y'all all warm and tingly now too? Mmmmm... well take that feeling and pick up Besotted on release day. You can thank me later.
Story Line: Miles is our leading man and let me tell you, there's a lot to love about this man. He's a mucho macho man and the biggest sweetheart rolled into one delicious package. And then there's Eve. The most motivated, hardworking and devoted woman on the planet. Their attraction is inevitable. Their chemistry sent electric sparks coursing through my entire body. And their shared pain was so dang REAL I felt it deep within my bones. You will laugh with them. You will definitely want to kick Miles in the shins a time or two. And you will absolutely cry with them. And not just a dramatic single tear sliding down your cheek. No, this book will require waterproof mascara and it would probably be best not to be read in a public place - for a couple of reasons wink wink.
Interaction: I'm telling you all this right now - Miles and Eve's chemistry rivals Simon and Daphne from Bridgerton. Sure, it's easy for a tv series to show us the attraction with stolen glances and almost had touches, but for an author to be able to describe all of these little signs and build a story so completely full of angst and forbidden love, is nothing short of spectacular. I felt in every ounce of my being the absolute agony Miles put himself through. I felt Eve's ache in the center of my own heart. And when that became too much and they finally gave me a little, ah hem, relief, I most certainly felt that too.
Laundry: Y'all. I have never once wanted to have some naughty laundry in a tent. I'm more of a glamping kind of chick, but after reading this book, I'm sold. There's a 4 person tent in my Target app cart right now, not even joking. Miles and Eve are in a hotness class all of their own. I read certain parts out loud to Mr Laundry and then realized my mistake considering he wanted me to stop reading and that was absolutely not going to happen. TMI, sorry. Kind of.
Depth: One thing is guaranteed with RS books - her stories carry so much more meaning than love. Besotted is about moving on. It's about not letting our pasts define our future. And it's about taking a chance when everything inside of you is scared beyond measure. This book will leave you with the happiest of tears filling your eyes and a beautiful smile plastered across your face. Miles and Eve's story isn't an easy one. It's not a simple wave or two separating them from their happily ever after. The waves are choppy and giant at times. But that just makes their story the most beautiful of all.

Besotted is an enemies to lovers story that proves fairy tales can come true.
Miles wants to be alone and is thick-headed. I wanted to smack him upside the head for most of the book but he does come through in some pretty big ways. Eve is a strong and determined woman who will not let anyone hold her back, goes after what she wants and believes in happily ever after.
There were so many layers to this book. The suspense, steam, heartbreak and joy take you on the perfect rollercoaster ride of emotions. The surprises have me anxiously waiting for the next installment of the Carmel Cove series to see all of the characters again.

This series by Dr. Sharp is breathtaking in its thrills, its bit of mystery and oh my me the swoons that come from the inhabitants of Carmel Cove.
This newest story was one I have been waiting for! This is the story of Miles and Eve.
Miles, with his twin, came from Texas to Carmel Cove for a fresh start, a new beginning and Miles felt that this new way of life for him would be it. He was burned horribly by a past relationship and still carries the scars. He knows his "Prince Charming" days are in the past.
Eve is the hopeless romantic, she wants forever, she wants her prince to scale the wall to save her. She wishes with her whole heart that it would be Miles.
Dr. Sharp has a truly gifted way of bringing the reader into the story. I was fully immersed in the town and all of its inhabitants. Now, this can totally be read as a stand-alone, but do yourself a favor and read all the stories in this series. It was wonderful to read and "see" past characters make appearances. It was like a lovely reunion and I was able to catch up and read what they were up to. It doesn't distract from the main story, but just adds more to it!
I hope that the interactions and innuendos I was reading about secondary characters means that we will get to see their stories in future books! I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Evie is a woman who loves love and believes in happy endings.
Miles is a man jaded by love and doesn't believe that happy endings are possible.
Evie is such a sweetheart, and while a little naive, she isn't blind to the truths of the world. She understands the way things are, but truly doesn't understand why Miles is refusing to give her anything at all. Aside from passing little moments, she sees them and wants them all.
I had a hard time with Miles, I get that his past created a lot of trust and doubt issues for him but he was such an a**hole at times. Blantantly as well, and even his brother has a hard time dealing with his change in attitude and overall demeanor. Sharp writes a good alpha-hole, but Miles walked that fine line between the two, and while I trust Sharp in her writing, I wasn't sure if I would ever like Miles.
There was a lot of back and forth in this book with Miles. Evie held steadfast in her feelings and her actions weren't out of character for her. Yes she was a little bit insecure and unsure of where things were going, but that was because of Miles. She went into their situation open eyed, even in her naivety. She is dealt a tough decision, and she acts like the mature adult she is. Miles on the other hand acted out pretty, exactly how I expected even thought it was frustrating. Thankfully there was an event that took place that made Miles FINALLY come to his senses. I enjoyed the epilogue we were given, and love the set up to future novels either specifically in this Carmel Cove series, or perhaps a Covington family spin-off series. Excited to see where Sharp takes us next!

The 3rd book in the Carmel Cove series and Miles and Evies Romance.
I absolutely Loved it and I was totally enraptured by their story,although it was frustrating at times because of Miles and his initial denial of his attraction to Evie...he is such a player and very moody trying to mask the chemistry between them.
Because of a past hurt and betrayal Miles doesn't believe in forever or commitment,but Evie is the Opposite she does believe in Forever and has been crushing on Miles ever since he rolled into town.
Rebecca's signature poetic writing threads together a beautiful,romantic,emotional and sexy enchanting tale,of two people on the opposite sides of their beliefs.But are uncontrollably drawn to one another and the one night promise is soon broken and develops into something surprising.
There is also more about the cartel which is intriguing,I love being in Carmel cove and enjoy reading about all the people living there.I am eager to know all their stories and what will happen next.

Another captivating escape to the Cove. This time we meet beautifully honest Eve and learn of her love for fairytale endings. Another captivating escape to the Cove. This time we meet beautifully honest Eve and learn of her love for fairytale endings. She isn’t looking for some man to waste her time, she has a plan and it involves forever. I was glued to the pages! And it's not just because I love a tortured man, it's because Miles has so many layers and potential. And to read how Eve transforms him back from a shell of a man to a full alpha is beautiful. It's like she breathes life into him. He may try to deny himself the pleasure of letting go with her. And he may be a grouchy jerk but he is no match for Eve's determination and a crazy cute puppy. Eve is a natural at understanding his hurt underneath all his antics. Plus she is genuinely honest. There isn't anything she wouldn't do to help others, specially someone she loves. This book is romantic, suspenseful, sensual and has me impatiently waiting for the next story to come. I loved it!

The hopeless romantic in me is SWOONING! I loved Besotted so much. Things are starting to heat up in Carmel Cove and Besotted just added to that explosiveness. Sharp has a way of intertwining all of these characters arcs into one big picture and it’s incredible. Each book draws you further in until your begging for more.
Miles and Eve are the perfect mix of romantic, hopeless and want. Their story is so beautiful, it’ll leave you swooning.

Dr Rebecca Sharp did an amazing job with the third installment to the Carmel Cove series. Besotted is well- written and easy to read. There wasn’t a dull moment throughout the whole story.
Eve Williams wants a fairytale prince and a forever. She is not the one for a one-night stand. The moment she met Miles Madison, brother of Mick, she felt a connection. A connection she couldn’t deny.
Miles Madison is not the fairytale prince that Eve believes he could be. He is charming and very popular under the ladies. One-night stands are the best option for him.
