Every guest who comes to stay at O'Mara's Guesthouse in Dublin has a story to tell. The little red fox who visits the bins in the courtyard has a tale of his own as do the long-serving staff, and the O'Mara family themselves have had their fair share of ups and downs too...
Moira O'Mara. The girl who was as flighty as the swallows migrating to Ireland's shores each spring has finally settled down. She's a new mammy with a loving partner in Tom, but Moira's never been more uncertain in her life about whether she's up for the job.
How can the girl who once thought she knew it all suddenly feel like she knows nothing?
Nina juggles waiting tables at a Dublin restaurant with working evening shifts at the guesthouse. She yearns for her Spanish home and can't tell anyone the real reason why.
What brought her to Dublin and what or who did she leave behind in Spain?
Nina and Moira are both struggling but sometimes the strength you need to get you through can be found in unexpected places.
Michelle Vernal is a bestselling author of warm, witty, and uplifting Irish fiction. Born in England to parents from Liverpool – often called “Little Ireland” – she grew up on her mum’s tales of Iocal families, music, and humour. Later, she lived, worked, got engaged, and travelled extensively in Ireland, experiences that inspire her much-loved novels, including the hilarious Guesthouse on the Green series. Her stories, filled with heart, humour, and unforgettable characters, have earned her a loyal readership worldwide.
A Baby at O’Mara’s: The Guesthouse on the Green Book 10 is by Michelle Vernal. This series of books is simply fun to read. The girls and their Mammy are doing their best to keep the Guesthouse running and at the same time have their own lives. So far, things are working out, in spite of Mammy’s interference. Moira and Tom have had their baby. Kiera has him wrapped around his finger and is not going to let go; but Moira is scared to death she will do something wrong. Moira and Tom live in the Guesthouse and help Aisling run it. Aisling’s Quinn has his own restaurant. Roisin and her son Noah live in London. Maureen has moved out with her new beau, Donal into a house with a sea view. There is a village to help Moira with Kiera. Moira is having a hard time with Kiera. She feels like a failure because she can’t breastfeed her. The women who had been in the labor class with her got together to meet as mammies. They had given her a hard time because she was the only one not breastfeeding. She begins to question herself, especially since she will be going back to school at the semester. How will she manage when she can’t get enough sleep now? It doesn’t help that her Mammy and Tom’s mother both want to plan Kiera’s christening!
As I do all of Michelle Vernal’s books! Moira, youngest of the girls and her doctor-to-be fiancé, now have a baby. And with two grannies, aunts, staff at the Guesthouse, all have opinions on raising it. I love the O’Mara family and wish they were real so I could meet them when I finally get to visit Ireland!
Great storyline as in previous books of the series.
Reading about the O'Mara's I have loved. Feel good series of books with lots of situations that made me laugh. You can just imagine these characters in real life living through day to day problems and joys. So glad I decided to read the books. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely loved this book and read it within a day of receiving it on my Kindle! With my love of Ireland and the wonderful O’Mara family, this takes me back to my childhood being raised by my Irish Grandparents ❤️ Can’ wait for Book 11! Thanks so much Michelle 😊
I'm never disappointed in this authors work. I love the O'Mara series and hope she does not stop writing them. The author builds the characters well and the stories are fun. Keep them coming!
The best book of the series! I laughed out loud more than once! The best part was that you didn't even have to have read the other 9 books to get who was who and understand the characters. A light hearted fun read! Already preordered the next book!!
I love the O’Mara family saga’s. They make you smile and just envision the scenes in your mind’s eye. This one brings it all home. Just wish the story was longer.
I have read about twelve of Michelle Vernal books. Have thoroughly enjoyed everyone. Better not to read in public as many times I have burst out laughing. Michelle is so quick witted .Warning you can get lost in these books and the time disappears.
Another touching book in the life of the O'mara's and now new family members .Tom and his side.Nina and her story all woven in so well just adds to the story.Enjoy reading!!
The tenth in this wonderful, feel-good series is another impossible to put down story. I've loved every one of this series and look forward to many more.
Lovely read. Thoroughly enjoyed it as I have the previous 9 books in the series. I did think this book though was a little shorter than the previous ones
Another great book in this series. Moira and Tom have settled into the flat at the Guesthouse with their baby and are sharing with Aisling and Quinn, which is working out surprisingly well.
I love the O’Maras and their guesthouse. They are sooooo Irish. Unpretentious, engaging, real characters. You can laugh out loud at their antics. A typical family of females, who love and care about each other. That is in between cursing one another. A wonderful, wonderful series. I cannot wait for the next book. Definitely recommend all 10 of the books in this series.
