Love is not dying #1

Eliezer's Ange

"I will never let you go."

Gentle.
Tender.
Warm.

That was everything he was. His eyes, elusive sapphires, are enough to keep her up at night while she hangs the moon and the stars. His hands are lofty and soft with a calloused edge, enough to envelope her in warmth. He wants to bring her the world in his palms, but since he can’t, he’ll bring her the next best thing—his world.

Laying in his arms while he reads Stevenson—that is her favorite playlist. And when she smiles, it seems heaven and hell move. The sun glints through the clouds after a heavy downpour.

When she smiles, it rivals the light of the stars in the night sky.

His name is Eliezer Badeaux and he fell in love with Cassiopeia Leilani the way the moon loved the stars: hopelessly and irrevocably.

Enter their story.

Cassiopeia started her life in Tallahassee in FSU. After breaking up with her boyfriend, Angle, she finds herself working at a coffee shop. then she meets Eliezer and while the attraction is off the charts, so off the charts he almost makes

When Eliezer meets Cassiopeia he knows one thing---she will be his. No matter what she thinks, she belongs to him and he would do whatever it takes to protect what it is his....ANYTHING!

The chemistry between Cass and Eliezer is sizzling, and no one can doubt their connection. Seriously, my heart was beating so fast throughout the story because the sexual tension was intense!

The writing in this book was what made the love story stand out. The prose was straight off the bat stellar and once I was in the world, I couldn't get out. Each page is laced with deep emotion and angst as Eliezer and Cass struggle against the feelings that arise when they are together.

This was my first Eden Auclair, this is her debut novel and I really liked it. Eden can paint a vivid love story with her characters and make you fall in love with them. I highly recommend you give this Indie author a chance and pick this one up.

I just read 440 pages of nothing. Literally nothing. I cannot tell you the plot of this book besides the fact that the main character cries all the fucking time. Over everything. And she breaks down over the stupidest of shit. She cries, he talks her down from the edge, you’re worried that her hearts going to give out because The author made a point to point out that she has a heart condition, that she refuses to tell him about. Then the other just moves on, even though it sounds like she’s going to have an attack and we’re gonna have to go to the emergency room or she’s gonna fucking die, and then it’s as if it never happened. Until she starts crying again. Apparently these people have been together for four years, or at least in each others orbit, being completely obsessed with each other, yet don’t know the most basic facts about each other or their families. She didn’t even know he had siblings. And how, after four years of being around him, and him consistently speaking French to her has she not picked up a single word of fucking French. Also who doesn’t know what I love you in French sounds like? 440 fucking pages for them to never once tell each other they love them and her crying every other page. This was truly a horrible book, and I regret wasting 3 1/2 hours of my life on this.

Also I’m so over the “ I have no idea I am pretty, and I have no idea that the clothing I’m wearing makes me look smoking hot” trope. What does she think this man who is in love with her is going to think about what she’s wearing when she’s wearing a skintight pencil skirt, a skin tight top with cut outs in it, and a bright red bralette underneath said shirt that is visible through the cut outs? Every chapter I just kept thinking to myself it’s gonna get better, the plot is going to suddenly appear, we’re gonna learn some thing, they’re finally going to say they love each other, anything, but now it’s just fucking, crying, and then sleeping. Seriously I’ve never had a book talk about sleeping without actually adding anything to the plot than this book.

I’m overall so frustrated with myself that I continue to read this piece of shit.

Eden Auclair’s writing is so poetic. Her way of writing different book scenes is so unique and there’s so many descriptions of their intense feelings. I don’t usually pick up slow burns because I don’t have the patience but I took a chance. Cassiopeia is so adorable and dainty she feels too much to a fault. I personally would like to see more strength from Cassiopeia, that side of her rarely came out and would love to see more of it. She struggled so emotionally with herself and I felt hard to relate to her. Eliezer loves so passionately but as bit as powerful with a heart of gold. Eliezer’s fierce love for Cassiopeia is so beautiful he worships the ground she walks on. Their playful and witty banter was always so interesting between the two and her hilarious side characters. Their love and dedication to their families is so admirable and I loved that connection. Cassiopeia and Eliezer’s love was so heartwarming and so sweet every little show of affection was perfect. This books is so cliché but you can’t help but love their ardent love. I enjoyed reading this book and would totally recommend it if you love soft heroins with an adorable, slow but at times gut-wrenching love story.

I’m so confused….

Billionaire randomly meets girl of his dreams in a grocery store
Three years later he hires her as a personal assistant
She graduates and they travel the world for business.

The chase in this book is extremely hard to believe for daily contact. I’m at 36% and there is zero physical contact at all. I’m just shaking my damn head. It’s a DNR for me folks. My head hurts now. I need a strong drink 😳

Eliezer’s Ange is book one in the Love is Not Dying series and is Eden Auclair’s debut novel. It is a slow-burn, friends to lovers, romance. Eliezer and Cassiopeia are two broken souls drawn together by an unexplainable attraction. They only needed one meeting for Eliezer to know that Cassiopeia was his. She was light in the dark, the sun during the day, the moon shining bright at night; she was his everything. Their love was so deep and pure, emotional and full of angst. These two were complex characters with intense and sizzling chemistry.

This book was beautifully written. The words were akin to poetry. The plot was well-developed, but I felt it was a bit slow at the beginning.

Eliezer and Cassiopeia were contrasting characters. Eliezer was cold, ruthless, yet soft. I thoroughly enjoyed his protectiveness and possessiveness towards Cass. Cassiopeia was sweet, innocent, tender, and I didn’t really like her character. I felt she was a bit annoying and clingy.

The moments in this book felt slightly rushed, but the ending broke my heart. It was completely unexpected and I can’t wait to see what Eden has in store for us in the next book!

To start off, Eden's writing style is so beautiful and articulate, it makes me want to instantly read more.

From the very beginning of this book, the attraction between Eliezer and Cassiopeia is completely tangible. Eliezer immediately knows that he wants her and he will have her. He's exactly what you would call the possessive type. The sexual tension between these two was so high and evident, it was off the charts.

As a debut novel, I think this book was amazing. There are so many beautiful aspects in this book that I just don't want to spoil so if what I've described thus far is enticing, I'd definitely recommend you check this book out.

Congratulations on your release, Eden and I look forward to what you have coming 🤍

This book was just exquisite. Amazing. Eden is an amazing author with a brilliant mind. Her words are so beautiful and poetic and lyrical. I am so glad that I signed up for an ARC because this book was just...ahh!

I can't get over Eliezer, this man was just something else. From his possessiveness to how he only softened up to Cassiopeia, it just melted me.

I found it hard to relate to Cassiopeia. She was far too clingy for my liking and stressed too much, but I did love when she took control and was this feisty little thing.

This was a great book and definitely something I would re-read and recommend to friends!

Eliezer's Ange is Eden's debut book and is so well written, I love that. Honestly, I'm obsessed with Eden's writing style.

Everything started when Eliezer met Cassiopeia, he knew that Cass will be his, he protected and helped his Angel, always. They become friends, Cassiopeia was going through a hard time so Eliezer offered his help, and he saved her.

The friendship, loyalty, and tension between them as friends was everything, it was well written and I was excited, but I felt that their moments together as a couple were rushed,  something was off about that.

I liked how sweet and hard worker Cass was and Eliezer was so hot and possessive of her, that was kinda hot. I needed more about Eliezer's past so I'm hoping for the second book to give me that.

Congratulations on your debut, Eden. You are doing amazing. I'm happy for you.

“You’re fired,” Eliezer said calmly. Cassiopeia’s jaw dropped and King’s eyes widened even more. “What?”“I don’t know who you think you are, touching and talking to my girl like that,” Eliezer responded nonchalantly.

Trama

No.

Eliezer's Ange is the first book in the Love is Not Dying series and the debut of this author, I was very excited to read this book since the synopsis and teasers caught my attention, however, it wasn't up to my liking and I had a lot of problems with it.

Main characters

Starting with the protagonist Cassiopeia, she was one of the most stressful heroines I have read in a long time, she is too dramatic and IMMATURE, it's incredible how she's an adult and not behaving like one, innocence is not bad but in this case, it was ridiculous and it stresses me that protagonists are like this. Now the hero; Eliezer, was worse than Cassiopeia, he's controlling, and at first, he felt like a Christian Gray, also I never knew if he was a teenager or an adult and, don't let me start with his mindless possessiveness.

Their relationship is weird and slow-burn, I like that kind of relationship but in this case, I didn't like how it was carried out, let's start when they met:

- Cassiopeia was in a relationship with Ansel at the beginning and it could be said that it was quite serious (for teenagers), attention because this will be important later
- One day Eliezer meets a 17-year-old Cassiopeia, falls in love, and becomes obsessed at first sight (how cute)
- Three years later they meet again, now officially and form a rare friendship while Cassiopeia is still with Ansel
- Cassiopeia and Ansel break up and, although it was a mutual decision given that it was a long-distance relationship, it's obviously not easy for her to overcome

And this is how a long and stressful relationship between Eliezer and Cassiopeia begins, like for 50% of the book they still aren't in a relationship, and when it started I didn't even like it

Also, have I already mentioned how stupid Eliezer's possessiveness was? Because it really is very stupid, for example, when someone was going to wish Cassiopeia a happy birthday:
“You’re fired,” Eliezer said calmly. Cassiopeia’s jaw dropped and King’s eyes widened even more. “What?” “I don’t know who you think you are, touching and talking to my girl like that,” Eliezer responded nonchalantly.

Plot

The beginning is weird, there is a constant time change, that is, the time jumps are very spontaneous and have no consistency, so they make the story confusing in some moments and that's very annoying, apart from that the writing is very stressful, the conversations were immature and in some instances, they gave me cringe.

Now, the plot is basically the progress of their relationship, so, there's not much to say about it but since the focus is the relationship it's difficult to keep an interesting book and this was one of those cases.

Secondary characters

The supporting characters were more lovely than the leads but they weren't very memorable and overall I don't feel like they added much to the plot.

Final thoughts

I didn't like the book, it was very stressful and I only finished it to find out what would happen, but as always this is my opinion and if you are interested in reading it I invite you to do so.

Do I recommend it? No.

⭐⭐⭐💫 3.5/5

Eliezer's Ange is Eden Auclair's debut novel and book #1 in the Love is Not Dying duet. It's a friends to lovers, slow burn, second chance, age gap and billionaire romance. The storyline is most certainly intriguing! Eliezer's Ange is mainly navigated from Eliezer (hero) and Cassiopeia's (heroine) perspective. However at times you'll see that it will be narrated from a third person's perspective. I was pleasantly surprised with Eden Auclair's writing technique! It's poetic and beautiful; like a melody synchronising together in a perfect harmony, and as the plot unravelled it flowed magnificently. The prologue begins in the present time, however in the first few chapters it proceeds from the past leading back to the present time. When Eliezer and Cassiopeia first meet they were automatically draw to each other. It was like their souls spoke to each other in a language that only Eliezer and Cassiopeia can seem to understand.

From the very beginning, they created a strong friendship, but the s*xual tension between them was ever so present. My heart melted when I saw Eliezer's behavior towards Cassiopeia. Unawarely, Cassiopeia had Eliezer wrapped around her little finger; he would anything for her to make her life more comfortable. He is possessive, devoted and fiercely protective of her. Both of them love each other deeply, but they are too afraid to voice their feelings for one another, and this frustrated me! There were so close to admitting their feelings, but they (always) held themselves back. For years, they resisted the temptation to fulfill their desires. But they couldn't resisted the temptation any longer, they finally gave in. Their interactions with each other are adorable and heart felt. Cassiopeia sure does like to tease Eliezer, and Eliezer enjoys her playful behavior.

Cassiopeia is definitely an interesting heroine. I was caught between liking and disliking her, but as I turned each chapter she grew on me. I guess, I'm just use to seeing a strong willed heroine in a book. Please don't get me wrong, I really liked how Eden Auclair portrayed Cassiopeia's character. She's a delicate, fragile and sensitive character, and Eliezer can easily read her emotions like an open book. My goodness! There were a couple of heated scenes where Cassiopeia completely surprised me!! It's a story about two people, where their lost souls connected to one another. A story about the power of a friendship and how that friendship turned into a indescribable love. But the ending though!! It can't end like that!! I hope book #2 is coming soon! I need answers.

𝟑.𝟓⭐

Eliezer's Ange is Eden Auclair's debut novel, and she has absolutely aced in writing an astronomical slow-burn for two broken hearts in love, who only ever saw each other's broken pieces. Never their own.

𝐇𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐫.

Eliezer's a very complex character to say the least. He is full of love for Cass, however, there’s dark parts to him that I am dying to know more about in book 2.

Cass is a character I personally found very hard to connect with, and I wouldn’t say that's necessarily a bad thing, I'd just like her to explore more of her strengths going forward because right now she has so much of it without even knowing it.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲, 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐲, 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲.

Eliezer and Cassiopeia were years in the making, and their love so profound, it echoes off the pages. The ending damn-nearly killed me. Their love is just so beautiful and pure. I love them.

However, I do have mixed thoughts on this book. There were certain parts (especially in the start) where I thought the story was too slow for my liking. In a couple of other places, I found myself a bit overwhelmed with all the side characters (again at the beginning of the story) however they've all grown on me (albeit slowly) and I can not wait to read book 2.

𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐢𝐚 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬; 𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐬.

All in all, I enjoyed this book, and if you like boy obsessed, friends to lovers, sorta an office romance, this book is for you, and you don’t want to miss it!

Whew, what a book. Where are all my contemporary, slow burn lovers at? I have a recommendation for ya!

TROPES- slow burn, contemporary, second chance, amnesia.

This is the debut novel by Eden Auclair which is set to be a series. First I would like to talk about the aesthetics of the book. You know when you are reading something and you can picture it in your mind and everything looks kinda like it's happening under a sepia filter? Yeah, this book was like that. It's a sweet slow burn but very aesthetic, kinda a light academia?

Let's talk about the language, the character Cassiopeia (FMC) is Arabian, but also speaks French. Same goes for other characters. What I loved is that whenever a word or phrase was used in a foreign tongue, the author provided translation at the end of the para itself, in a bracket. So I wasn't dizzying myself going back and fourth! It's very thoughtful of the author, because in Kindle, it's not easy to get to the end and read the glossary and return to the page you were on, unlike physical copy.

The narration is very soothing. Yes, that's the only word I can say. It's lyrical, flowing easily and has a feel-good vibe to it. This is the debut, so trust me when I tell you the vocabulary is amazing! It's better than some of the things I have read by seasonal, bestseller authors!

The characters- Cassiopeia is a quiet, strong and compassionate heroine. She's hardworking, feels deeply and is a very lovable one. Eliezer compliments her well in his personality; he's a bit broody, practical and no-nonsense hero. Together, they match each other well. There are very cute scenes in the beginning but later on it gets heart breaking. It's all executed smoothly.

I have been so in love with the aesthetics of Eden and this book, and I was counting the days until it reached my kindle.
The aesthetic of the book is something so beautiful, so peaceful in my eyes. The aesthetics that Eden chose for the design of the book, and that fits so well with the characters and the story itself. I really love everything about the book. Besides Eden's writing style, it really left me in love.

Eden takes us into a story of love at first sight with a story so poetic that it hurts. Literally, it hurts. It hurts like when your heart shrinks from so much love. The love, the affection was so sweet, so beautiful, that what the writer wanted to say touched my soul.

The story is incredible, sweet, cliche, beautiful, poetic. I fell in love with love at first sight, like
Eliezer and Cassiopeia when they burned into each other's soul.

Cassiopeia, a high school student, was 17 when she first saw Eliezer. After the first time they see each other, they do not meet again until three years later when, an Eliezer, all in love and obsessed, places an order at the restaurant where she works. And from that moment on it is impossible for Cassiopeia to forget his sapphire eyes.

Eliezer gives me a vibe of "i hate everyone but she". He is the best friend Cassiopeia could have found, the one who was always there for her, the one who put everything aside when little Cassiopeia lost the world.

Eliezer and Cassiopeia are the most poetic and sweet love story I have ever read.

Eliezer's Ange is the debut novel from Eden Auclair. I was so excited since the day Eden announced this book. And I wasn't disappointed.

I loved this book so much. The story was beautifully written. And I really liked Eden's writing. This book really didn't feel like it was written by a debut writer but by someone who was been in the writing business for many years. It was tht good.

Cassiopeia was this pure n innocent heroine who had to go through hardships in a young age. I loved her so much. She was a really emotional person. But yet she was strong or tried to stay strong for her loved ones.

Eliezer was such a serve. He was different to every other businessman I have read. Yeah he was cold, dark n possessive but still he was a softie. And the way he cared about people made me love him so much.

Elie & Cass are amazing together. They had an intense chemistry since the start. I loved how Elie cared about Cass n was protective of her. And the way Cass cared about him the same way. They took comfort in each other. Yeah their story was a slow burn romance but it fit them perfectly.

I loved the other side characters too. They fit the story so well. Their scenes with the two was so fun n entertaining. 😁😁

That ending broke me. I didn't see that coming.

Overall this book was TOP TIER. I can't wait to read the next book n learn more about this beautiful couple.

Thank you Eden for giving me the arc. Congratulations for being a published author.

4.25 My Light Stars!!

The moment I found out about this book while scrolling through social media I couldn't wait to have this story in my life! I could not contain my excitement for it and started it right away. Once I did there was no way I was putting it down until I reached the end. This was such an enjoyable read for me from start to finish!

Eliezer and Cassiopeia's journey pulled me in as well as my heart right from the very start! I felt it all with these two and then some! Their connection got to me and I couldn't get enough of that as well as the heat between these two! Their story hit me in the chest in such a unique way with every page turn.

This story tackles the beauty of our hearts, the depths to which we feel every bit and the sweetest beauty we're lucky enough to encounter that make it remember why it beats! I so loved the realness of that.

With Eliezer's Ange, Ms.Auclair not only created such an awesome debut with all the feels she created one of my favorite reads this year! I need more of her writing and these characters in my life! I can't wait for the next Love Is Not Dying book! 🖤

This is my first book from Eden Aucalir, her debut novel. Eden unquestionably has a way with her words to instantly enchant a reader.

After breaking up with her boyfriend, Cassiopeia finds herself working at a cafe, where she meets Eliezer who is instantly drawn to her. While Cassiopeia is sweet and tender, Eliezer is ice-cold and ruthless. He is also possessive and makes it his mission to make Cassiopeia his.

Although their story progression is slow, the tension between them is palpable. I love Eden's protectiveness and how much he cares for his girl.

As a lover of heavy plots, I find it a little dragged for sometime, but I'm very impressed with Eden's writing style and I have enjoyed it nonetheless. I can't wait for the second book.

Eliezer's Ange was a light hearted and loving book that kept my anticipation and excitement at bay. It was a book that resembled peace as I felt the authors writing to be very poetic and tbvh I am a sucker for such styles. The characters built in this story were beautiful to say the least! Can we please first talk about the names? I fell in love with the names Eliezer and Cassiopeia, unique names such as these are always a plus point.

Cass was such a beautiful and a sweet character, almost relatable. I adored her shyness towards Eliezer, gosh it was so so cute. Even Eliezer's character was something I wasn't expecting. I imagined him to be someone unknown to emotions, but I was proven wrong. He was such a darling and a sweetheart to Cass☹️☹️☹️❤️❤️

I really recommend this book to everyone because it's really that amazing!

eliezer’s ange is eden’s debut novel and it’s a contemporary slow burn, age gap romance.

we’re introduced to cassiopeia and eliezer, though cass at the time was with her highschool boy friend / best friend in the beginning. though the moment he sees her, love at first sight. but we don’t get much from these two till three years later.

the romance and chemistry of cass and elie was a definite slow burn. and when i mean slow burn, i meant years of angst. like foreplay, but give or take a few years lol. i adored cass’s love for literature and her pure soul. i love male mc’s who are broody and all, but elie’s characteristics kind of gave me a whiplash haha.

eden’s writing was beautiful but i also felt it was insanely fast paced. the constant time jump was something i wasn’t too keen on.

overall it was a good read despite it being her debut novel.

This was Eden Auclair’s debut novel and I really enjoyed it! This was a great slow burn romance and the chemistry between Eliezer and Casa is unmistakable. These two broken souls weren’t meant for one another. Eliezer knew from their first meeting that Cass was his first all time. Watching these two progress over the course of their story was profoundly beautiful and then we get to the ending that literally almost broke me in two because their love is soul deep and the pain cut straight through my heart. I thought it was a great debut and an even better read. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This book was just Eliezer lusting over a girl who was 17 (grows older with time) and just be a loser I’m sorry-
