Dysfunctional and irritating at best. I want my three hours back.

There is nothing romantic or sexy about sexual harassment, and this story was full of it. I don't know about you, but I believe a boss rubbing suntan lotion all over your arms, neck and chest, then sticking his tongue down your throat when you keep pushing him away should be a sign to run for your life....

To make matters worse, hero gropes the heroine, pulls her out of a bathtub naked to humiliate her, then goes to OW and sticks his tongue down her throat and gropes her a@#$%, all in front of the heroine.

I am supposed to swoon about this?
I am supposed to believe this marshmallow of a heroine was strong?

I'm sorry, but I saw nothing strong about this heroine other than her waspish tongue, which continued to end up in the heroes throat, even when she knew he was engaged to the OW.

For those that love a train wreck, this might work for you!!!!!!!!!!

Re Tiger's Eye - Madeleine Ker goes the boss/secretary/OW trope with this one. The title is referring to the H's eyes - which are green like a tiger's.

The h is a 24 yr old temporary secretary who is sent out to Spain to rescue the H when his regular assistant quits. The h is met at the airport by the H's 15 year old precocious daughter. The h doesn't realize she is being driven around by a fifteen year old who looks twenty seven, but after the teenager gives a serious "keep away from my womanizing father" warning because the teen and her brother want the woman the H is sometimes going about with to marry him, the h starts questioning the girl and then makes her pull over so the h can do the driving.

After they arrive at the H's house, there is a mix of boss chasing the secretary, OW (who is really the girlfriend) manipulations and the h being very much a no means yes kinda girl. The H was definitely more on the side of the gropey hands kinda boss, and I would have bought the h's protests more if she hadn't melted and clung every time the H came within two feet of her.

The H's teen daughter claims the H seduces every woman he comes across, and I totally believed that despite the H's denials. The h finds herself gradually getting more involved with the H and his kids, as his son gets ill with measles and the h is a decent nurse and the daughter is desperately looking for a mother figure.

There is also a lot of angsting about both of them being abandoned children raised in care and therefore distrusting of love. (The h tracked down her mother who denied that she was her and the h realized she was the by product of an extra marital affair.) The H claims the only reason he would remarry is for a mother for his kids, his first wife was completely non interested in them, so of course the h becomes close to the young uns'.

Eventually after more angsty back and forth between the H, h , and OW, (who treats the h as maid) -- with the H roofie kissing the h then running right back to his girlfriend and tickling her tonsils too-- the H decides that the h is a bad influence on his kids and forbids her to be around them.

We find out the dark secret that the H's mum is a former prostitute that the H now supports as a mysterious benefactor but doesn't associate with her and we get some OM drama too, when the H's lawyer takes an interest in the h. But eventually all the back and forth and OW girlfriend patronizing and H insults resolve themselves over a weekend when the H and kids go off alone and they all miss the h.

When the H and co return, unicorn petting is forsaken forever in the joy of reunion and the H declares that he and his kids love the h. We find out the OW's ploys in manipulating the H's teenage daughter to get closer to the H and it was the OW's idear to have a fifteen yr old drive over 60 miles in heavy traffic to pick the h up at the beginning of the book. The H dumps the OW - tho we don't get to see that and that was a big detraction from the story- the H and h avow eternal devotion and we leave them making wedding plans and playing happy families for the HEA.

This one was pretty par for the HP course but nothing special. The h has some great H rejection lines, which I would have actually believed if she could have refrained from wrapping herself around the H like ivy every time he stood next to her. The OW was suitably awful and manipulative, but I got really bored with the whole neverending back and forth love triangle thing - it became entirely too repetitive.

Supposedly the H being a womanizer was an OW lying manipulation that she told the H's daughter, however I totally did not buy that one cause we watched it going on with the H and OW and h throughout the book. So overall while the HEA was believable, the love triangle situation was pretty trite and that made this just an average HP outing.

"Tiger's Eye" is the story of Leila and Blaze.

Heroine arrives in a new city to be a temp secretary for the hero. She is met by his 15 year old daughter on the airport, who warns her away from her father. She soon realizes the reason, when she meets the very masculine and tiger like hero, who is unabashedly sexual and bold. He makes her work in a bikini on the poolside, and takes his time making his appreciation for her known. But they soon connect on deeper levels, when they realize they're both orphans who have been fostered and are still healing from those experiences. The drama is provided by the scheming OW, some OM jealousy the confused children and their own respective past traumas.

The hero was a confused absentee father, who had way too many inhibitions. I enjoyed the heroine's scenes with the kids, as well as her fighting off the OW/ being honest with the hero and OM. I felt the confession came on very abruptly, but overall a good read- all loose ends are tied up in the last few pages.

I so loved this book. I liked that Leila was a strong character. She came from nothing and she had that in common w/ Blaize. However, while he strived for lots of money she just wanted to be content in her life. She fought her attraction to Blaize and it really looked like he was a womanizer in several instances. But then there was someone behind the scenes feeding that information to others. Leila seemed to have a bead on quite a few of the other characters, but she was a bit skewed in her assessment of Blaize.

I didn’t like that for some reason Katherine had decided that Leila’s secretarial duties also involved becoming a servant. I wanted Leila to speak up at that point, but it was later explained that she gave in to her demands in order to avoid another argument. Blaize was willing to do a lot for his children and he knew that they needed a mother figure, but he soon realized his choice wasn’t a very good one. At some points one would not be wrong in thinking that Blaize could been charged w/ sexual harassment, but Leila didn’t seem to ever want to pursue that. She did acknowledge that her boss would have forgiven her some things if she explained them to her though. So that was something.

I liked the way Blaize and Leila grew together and shared things w/ one another. Things they had never shared w/ anyone else. I was loath to put the book down before arriving at the last page! It was truly a fast moving story that kept me involved.

Lovely to read about SUCH a strong heroine. She's a secretary but she knows not to interfere in her boss' life. AND she stands up to him when he tries to come on to her (going so far as to accuse him of sexual harassment). There were some lines which were really true about life and love and therefore: I liked it =)

I did find it hard to believe, that a woman who was basically being sexually harassed. Went from not wanting anything to do with her lecherous boss. To a few weeks later being madly in love.

Well whether it's because I've just had a HP break and read some Improving Literature that was Harder Work or whether I just have warped taste I don't know but I sank into this one like a warm bath. Yes it was cut and dried sexual harassment but I'm choosing to see this story as a total escape from reality and am therefore not holding Blaize (I know. Shades of Robyn Donald) to real life standards. From the swimming pool first meeting (all hail, Sara Craven, queen of the trope) to the various manhandlings he was All Male, with his hard as nails persona and green-eyed, sculpted bronze sex appeal. Lucky temp secretary Leila, joins him and his two children (damaged teen Tracey and much younger malleable moppet Terry) in their Spanish holiday villa. I temped myself once and none of my assignments ever held such glamour. They bond over their similar upbringings in care and also fight like cat and dog. The evil OW Kathleen shamelessly manipulates and schemes and Leila also gets a jealousy inducing admirer. It's pretty cookie cutter and the ending was pure schmaltz but frankly I was ready for a book like this and I lapped it up.

Why is that the title? Pretty average book. The further the book goes the less detail and description the story has! The last chapters is mostly told in 3rd person and no dialogue...way to skimp on the stuff we wanted the hear about! The other woman getting told the hell off!!! The hero was very very gropey with the heroine, like day 2! Kissing her, dude chill. No wonder the heroine was so stand offish. This isn't normal life, so I don't know how this couple will deal with normal things and normal problems back home. But the BEST part was when the little family goes on a trip, and comes back, and the heroine asks how it went, and the hero informs her that the kids and he all missed her and had a terrible time! It was so sweet. Read it but it definitely peters out in the end.

Leila, as an efficient temporary secretary, was sent to multimillionaire Blair, the hero, who has the habit of testing his secretaries by seducing them! To make matters worse, she has to deal with his teenage girl who believes Leila is an unwanted interruption to her plans of making her father marry Kathleen, the family's friend.

Well-written and interesting. It's a good read for a pass time.

I liked this book but it has elements for sexual harassment in-spite of the H/h attraction
