When third year comes around, Mary is full of optimism. She is a good student, and everyone expects great things from her in the Junior Cycle exams. But then Mary finds herself fighting with her teachers, with her twin brother, Markey, with her ma and, most of all, with herself.

Rollercoaster was written during a residency in four JCSP Library Project schools in Dublin. Mary's voice is true to the lives and concerns of young people in Dublin city today.
