This excellent book was written by a friend of mine. However, I am a retired librarian, and my review has nothing to do with that relationship. This is an informative and entertaining book. Children will enjoy the story and the fun illustrations, and both adults and children will learn a great deal about type 1 diabetes. I really feel it should be in every school nurse’s office, and in every pediatrician’s office. It lays out the facts about this disease clearly, but in an enjoyable format. Highly recommended!

Was SO happy to receive my copy and learn about T1D. Kids will love seeing a young superhero face a challenge of fighting diabetes. Perfect for any family who has to face this disease and for loved ones as well. This would make a great addition to any teacher's classroom library. It also educates on the symptoms as well.
