If this was my first self-help book on this subject then perhaps I would give it a higher rating, however, after reading similar books that provided more research and proof into calming techniques, this book just didn’t do it for me. This book would be a good intro book into how to become more relaxed. I did enjoy the well-being toolkit to feel less stressed at the end:
1. Journal your thoughts and feelings. 2. Go for a walk, even if it's raining, because rain is a clearing energy. 3. Talk to someone close to you or a trained professional. 4. Put on some music and allow yourself to feel. 5. Go for a massage. 6. Get in touch with a charity or the NHS for mental health support. 7. If prescribed, take your medications. 8. Fill up your hot-water bottle, get under a blanket and watch your favourite film. 9. Release emotions through crying or screaming. 10. Stretch your limbs and connect to your body. 11. Do breath work until you feel calmer. 12. Do something that makes you laugh. 13. Clean and declutter the space around you. 14. Donate your time to someone else. 15. Read positive affirmations. 16. Do a guided meditation. 17. Water your plants, if you have them. 18. Make something to eat and drink some water. 19. Read a book. 20. Take a long, hot bath
A positive book I needed, to rid myself of all the chaos mush in my mind and body right now. If you are expecting miracles, nope not the book at all. But if you want to get a jimp start of clearing all the debris, that the silent war has brought upon is all, this is a great lifter.
