As the king of my vampire race, I’m tired of living a lonely existence, made worse by the prospect of eternity stretched out in front of me.
My decision to meet the sun hasn’t been easy. But while sitting on the beach, waiting for sunrise, I’m distracted by a beautiful woman skinny dipping in the ocean.
When she gets into trouble, I’m the only person who can save her, but after she falls unconscious, I have a choice to make. Should I leave her naked and helpless on the sand, or I should take her home with me?
If I choose the latter, I’ll have to forgo my mission, and I might not have the courage to try again, but perhaps I won’t have to.
What if this woman came into my life at exactly the right time?

Isobel was still dealing with a bad break-up that left her feeling rebellious, reckless, and wanting to do something out of character for once. But she didn’t really know what she wanted yet. The happy faces around her in Miami only made her loneliness worse. Walking along the beach in the dark felt like a crossroads to something much more important, but what?
Nikolai, king of the vampires, watched the woman wander this way and that, aimlessly, on the beach. Was she lost? He was lonely, felt he had no purpose, and was tired of all the distractions in his life… even this woman who interrupted his final contemplation before the sun rose and took him. As if sent here to torture him, she began to strip off her clothing!
When Isobel gets into trouble in the water and pulled out deeper, Nicolai realizes he has to save her from drowning. The strong breath he administered was enough to cause her to cough and sputter as she started breathing again. But she saw his sharp fangs close to her face and she fainted.
With dawn now imminent, he had a decision to make. Should he leave her here, unconscious and naked on the beach, with drug dealers and pimps all too ready to take advantage of her? Or should he take her home with him and abandon his plan to meet a true death? And what would she do when she awoke and knew what he was?
This was a well done story about loneliness and how it affects two people. The future is still uncertain, but perhaps Nikolai saving Isobel could give both of them a new start, if they choose to go there. Grab your copy and see what decision Nikolai makes and how it will turn out for each of them.

This is my first book by this author so the first in the series that I have read. I liked the characters and the way an issue was dealt with sensitively, to see it from both sides and to feel both sides pain. I wasn't sure if I had missed anything from not reading the books before this one as I did have a question or two reading this. I would have liked it to have been a bit longer as I didn't feel their story was fully told, I wanted to see them grow in their relationship and how those around them dealt with it, I would have also liked to have seen some more of his family.

Isobel was visiting at the beach late one night and decided that she wanted to let go of her social ties and skinny dip in the ocean. Nikolai, the King of Vampires was hidden on the same beach waiting on the sun to rise to take him. But when Nikolai saw Isobel the spark to live awoke in him. Nikolai and Isobel had a fast and interesting romance where both their lives were peril at separate times and the other was the savior but through their intense meeting their subsequent love began.

Saved By The Vampire is the fourth book in the Vampire Romance series and is Nikolai and Isobel's story. Two lonely souls, one a vampire and the other a mortal woman, find each other on the beach. She was there for a midnight swim and he was there to end his life at sunrise. This is a short story about two people finding each other at the right time. The story is well developed, the characters are likable and the ending is perfect. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I liked Nikolai and Isobel. It's a story to two people hurting for different reasons and one moment that changing their lives forever. Although it's a quick read, the characters and plot are well developed. And the chemistry between them is nice. I would have loved to see this as a full novel.

This book would have gotten five stars if not for all of the errors in it, but I very much loved the storyline! Reading Saved by the Vampire was an excellent way to spend my time.
I'm just a sucker for a great romance and of course the sex is hot! :) I love these quick reads. Each is a stand alone but the story and endings are always a beautiful ending. The characters are developed rather nicely also.
This was a fast paced book with a lot of interesting things Hingis almost all at once but still interesting and a fun read. I would recommend this book to all paranormal book lovers!
This was such an emotional book as Isobel and Nikolai had to deal with their feelings past and present to have a relationship. I thought the characters were likeable and had chemistry together, and enjoyed reading this story.
