I thoroughly enjoyed this second installment of the Shadowlands Sector Trilogy. You do need to have read book 1 prior to this, and it does end on the cliffiest of cliff-hangers.

The story picks up right where we left the action in book #1, with the infected attacking the Ash Wolves compound and Meira using it as an opportunity to escape. A third alpha male is added to the mix - it would seem that Meira's wolf isn't happy with just 2 fated mates! The scenes between Meira and her new mate are scorchingly hot, and we also get more scenes with Dulsan. I do feel Lucien hasn't been given his fair share of her time but I did enjoy how Meira's relationships with all three males have evolved and I liked how their personalities and characteristic have also been developed.

Unlike many reverse harem tales, this had plenty of action and adventure to enhance the story. And with how this book ended - well I can't wait for book #3.

Not rated on purpose.

This story should have been told in one book, or two at most. Each instalment is just dropped off where ever. None of the instalments in this series can be considered to be full books. And, no, its not cliffhangers, they all all bits and pieces of the story that are left in the middle of whatever problems the MC are dealing with at the time. Its really annoying and I believe if I had to buy this books I would be demanding my money back.

The story in its entirety could be a 4 star so if you are getting the books from KU or the library, get the full set, it won't be a too frustrating reading experience.

Shadowlands Sector: Two is the second book in Mila Young’s thrilling Shadowlands series. This book picks up where book one left off with the Shadowlands home being ambushed and brought low with an attack from one of their own who has turned traitor. Meira is on the run because she thinks that it is for the best, not knowing the truth about what is happening with her body. Now her Alphas are coming for her to try and save her from herself and those who would harm her.
Shadowlands Sector is a thrilling series with the world having been ravaged by a virus that brings the dead back as flesh-eating zombies. I love the horror aspect of this dystopian paranormal romance novel. Meira is a strong female character and I like how she is feisty. Now, she’s a bit over the top with the trust issues, but as the author shows us again and again…she has good reason. Meira sees herself as more selfish than selfless, but I choose to see more of the selfless side of her character. She chooses to help a little girl that she finds more than once. I wanted the author to continue with that angle of the story so that I could learn what happens to her, but I’m hopeful that there is a spin-off story of the girl and those she was looking for.
There are of course the steamy scenes that readers have come to expect with this series between Meira and the Alphas. The story focuses mostly on them this time, but there is plenty of danger both from the undead and from the rogue wolves that roam through the woods at will. There is of course, further danger near the end of the book that I was beginning to wonder when these particular ones would pop back up again as a battle for control is soon to ensue in one way or another.
There are a couple of moments of where I got a bit annoyed with Meira because for me, she doesn’t stop to really look at the big picture. She focuses on herself when she’s running from the men. She believes she’s better off on her own and never seems to stop and question why exactly the undead ignore her. A part of me is curious though as to if the author had taken the story in a different direction – Meira learning the truth in a certain moment, would she still have run knowing the truth? Or would that have changed her thought process?
I really did enjoy this book, but watch out for the cliffhanger at the end! I saw that it was the end of this book, but I still turned the page hoping for more or at least a hint of what is to come. LOL! As I’m sure you can tell I’m eager to learn what happens next as things are both falling into place…and falling apart at the same time. If you have enjoyed the first book in this series then I encourage you to pick this book up and find out what happens next. I am rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Shadowlands Sector 2🤩

Shadowlands Sector 2 is the next instalment featuring Meira and her wolves 🐺 However, she believes they are better off without her and so during the battle with the undead, she escapes the compound and flees. Her mates aren’t happy with her leaving, but pursue her once the battle is finished. Even though you don’t think much is going on in this book and it feels as though it’s ALL about Meira running away from her mates......the ending will help you draw a different conclusion😳

An enjoyable story and that ending will be stuck in my mind until I can start the next book and find out what happens😱 What can I say, I’m a little blood thirsty 😂 Thank you to Mila for my advanced copy for which I willingly leave my honest review❣️

Wolves and Smut. My two favs, haha!

Definitely a guilty pleasure series this baby right here. Here for it 100%. I like how quick it is to read this little trilogy. It’s nice to read something that gets straight to the good stuff with minimal world building and tons of dialogue/character interactions. A nice change of pace for me for sure.

Book 2
3 fated mates
Lots of smut
Storyline progresses slightly, but no real backstory to the three males yet.

I fmc is borderline annoying. Until the last 10% of the book.
I’m looking forward to book three, I hope she lives up to her worth!

This was good, but I honestly just like Dusan - he's my favorite. I don't want her to be with Lucien or Bardhyl. I think I've just had my fill of poly/reverse harem books. Too many guys!! I thought the story flowed really well and that ending was crazy good! Can't wait to read the next book!

Shadowlands Sector Two kicks off where book one ended. Meira is running from her fated mates and the undead who swarm the castle - believing she’s better off alone as she fights her human illness and the fear of what will happen if she ever transforms into the wolf that lurks beneath the surface.

Dusan and Lucien are desperate to get their mate home safely as the distance threatens to destroy them all. Bardhyl - the Viking wolf introduced late in book one - is also on the hunt for the rogue Omega and when she stumbles on him in an trap their attraction for each other soon leads to sealing their bond.

With three mates, feral wolves and the undead surrounding them, they must make their way back to the safety of the castle. Of course we once again end with a massive cliffhanger that leaves you desperate for more.

This is the second book into he series I've listened to. I love the narrator she does a great job with the different voices. The story has me hooked and I can't wait to listen to the next one. My only complaint is the two majn characters names are so similar in the audio version it is hard to tell who is who. It usually takes me a while to figure it out. Otherwise great series.

Oh my brain ,spoilers ,sorry long 🤷🏗

I am totally confused as to why this is a three book series. We take up from the trade of girls to the x wolves books , where she runs. Then we drag book one through that to book two that mostly was sex . Running and thinking about sex. Tidbits as why she's different and sex thoughts. I really got tired of all the repetitive inner thoughts . so she has three mates ...don't need three books to explain that ..well sexed that should I say .At this point to the climax of book two with Mad showing why he should have been killed ( as writers are writing the main males more stupid lately ,leaving people alive that should have been killed right off .😒) gets their pack to betray them ,I'm sure with a promise cure in her and how Alpha wasn't going to use her as cure. To her finally wolfng out but being rapid and Alpha drugged, her killing pack ....and we end there. So I read a long sex thoughts to running having long sex scenes to more sex thoughts to learn .she has leukemia ,why she is safe from dead, wolf keeping her alive but starting to not matter .has three mates , Mad is a coward traitor but you to stupid to kill him and he gets out ,of course and betrays .And for some reason she hasn't turned even tho we sex it up ( annoyingly) but waits till attacked and she is ..what lost human slave and now rapid ..yep that's about it.
This was an annoying read that needed to be cut down, maybe writer hasn't wrote a continuous couples series before and this was the attempt. That fell way off for me with unnecessary thoughts and long drawn out sex scenes. That non.standing the bet peeve I have of the omega verse and the total dependency of the male and the female. Where she thinks only one thing as everything else falls to way side and he latches on because she's omega nothing else . They do not know each other at all just the bio of Alpha and omega . And forbid anybody act like the omega wants anything but the big D from the big bad ( anyone that crosses her bath ) Alpha.Or make a drug to give them sanity back and they can have choices and not just be the breeder this verse designs them to be . Lately for me it leaves a lot to be desired between a relationship of romance .. Sometimes if the story is short or interesting elements to the story ,it is a good read .But for this one ,no it was ticking all the things I hate about this verse.
So book three really makes me grind my teeth to even think about if it is worth figuring out what she is ,did they finally grow a brain or is it going to be sex thoughts back to sex scenes to end finally answering questions and completing .
Lastly I just have to say the good for you flesh trade explaining in here was horrible. No mater why or for who ,when you kidnap women or anyone to trade for something else it is wrong. This gave the you would die ,be rutted to death on and on as to why.it was ok to trade flesh with other packs .what it lacked to make it not a flesh trade is choice. Nowhere was choice .They kidnapped . roomed .mate party to see if fated mate was there .if not border on vehicles and traded with other packs . There was no ,do you want to stay, go back,go to other packs or anything .nothing but I'm Alpha you are product ( which they actually used that term) and I saved your life now you are profitable to my pack and I know best and this is better for you ....cause I say ..but we are the heroes ...right....😒😒😒😒🙄

Shadowlands Sector Two hits the ground running literally as Meira has run away from her mates in order to protect them. The cliffy at the end of this book is even worse than the last one and if I couldn't read Sector Three straight away it would have driven me insane.

I found I fell more in love with Meira in the second instalment, used to not caring about anyone we see a different side to her highlighting her pure heart and her caring nature. She cares so much for her mates that she runs away to save them but what about her? The secret behind Meira's strange sickness is revealed and it's far from good. Unbeknownst to her, time is running out for her and her mates, her wolf needs to come out of she will die and her mates will be left to deal with the devastation and destruction that will ensue. How will Dusan lead the pack and be the Alpha he needs to be without his Omega? How will Lucien cope losing a second mate? And how will her death affect Bardhyl's nature?

In Sector Two another mate is added to the mix and I was pleased to see that whilst they knew each other there was some build-up getting to know each other a little bit before the instant tension overwhelmed them both. Bardhyl rounds of the small pack rather well, complimenting them but he's probably the most dangerous. Behind his jokester personality and his teasing personality lies the rage of a Viking Berserker and when this happens will Meira and her mates survive?

Regarding her mates, I do feel like Lucien needed a bit more time with Meira, he's very caring and always letting Dusan and Bardhyl have their time but he needs to be more forceful and demand his own time with her.

Throughout my reading at various times i hard these questions constantly running through my head. Will Meira ever get a happy ending? Will her wolf ever come out? Is she doomed to have her wolf burst free and rip apart the men she now holds dear? I won't tell you an answer, you'll have to read it for yourselves.

If possessive, dominant alpha males, feisty omegas, tons of knots and steamy scenes are required in you omegaverse reads than you won't be disappointed to pick up this sizzlingly hot series!

Great book

I really enjoyed this book, it’s my second read through and I’m flabbergasted that I didn’t review it the first time. I love the main character in this 2nd book. She’s grown so much. The first book, you fall in love with her strength, determination and power through attitude. She doesn’t like to give up, ever, and she doesn’t disappoint in this 2nd one. We learn a little bit more about why she was so sick, and it opens up the book that drew me in even further. The guys point of views allows the reader to slowly fall in love with them, reading about how much she affects them allows me to forgive them for their treatment of her from the first book.

There’s a lot of hanky panky, boinking, and shaggin happening in this book. It was full on lady porn! There’s knots, a$$ play, and a ton of foreplay, edging included, but it wasn’t the “Main” focus of the story. Many Omega/Alpha books, focus so heavily on the knotting sexy parts, it doesn’t leave much room for a storyline/plot. This series has several different aspects to it that drove me to not want to out the book down. I needed to know what was gonna happen next. The zombie apocalypse, her immunity to them, the mystery as to why she’s immune, how she realizes that her alphas aren’t what she assumed them to be. She falls in love with them, and runs away thinking she’s going to save them from when her beast breaks out and goes psycho on everyone. Every encounter with those shadow monsters has her jumping in fear but they usually show up in the nick of time to get her out of trouble. She also saves another female several times, and I love how compassionate she is even though she’s been through he!!.

There’s some cross over characters from other series that caught my eye, I enjoyed reading about those characters because in the other series. This girl wasn’t a main character but a sister to the female lead. We got to read about how the little sister was missing and what those characters were going through to meet up with the little sister.
Can’t wait to read the next one.

3.75 STARS ✨

I am reviewing the whole of the Shadowlands Sector series as a whole as I basically read all of them at once.

Omegaverse is kind of a comfort subgenre I go to read when I feel like I need something soft to mentally calm down and I actually really loved this series. It had exactly what I needed and I think that the three books were paced out well and ended in the right places.

Meira was a great main character, it was great to see her develop throughout the series but still remain as fiercely dependent as she was at the beginning of the first book. In Omegaverse especially, the fmc can often lose the essence of who she is after meeting her love interest(s), but it definitely wasn’t the case with this series.

It was really interesting to read Omegaverse and zombies placed together. I haven’t really seen that being done before (it probably has, and I just haven’t heard of it) but nevertheless, it was cool to see how Mila did it! I personally am not usually a fan of zombie apocalypse books, but I was able to still look past that and really enjoy Mila’s story.

All of Meira’s boys are easy to fall in love with — I certainly adored all of them, although I’m not going to share the names of them or how many as this review is being posted on all three of the books, but they were great! I would say at some points they probably appeared a little weaker than they should have, especially at some points towards the end of the trilogy? But other than that, they all had different things to love about them and it was great.

I would definitely recommend giving this series a read if you’re into Omegaverse! Although there were a few typos throughout the trilogy, it was well written and one I think anyone who is a fan of spicy reverse harem would enjoy.

The entertaining second installment of the Shadowlands sector and set in a post apocalyptic world of zombies and werewolves picks up right where the first one left off. Meira has run to save her mates and the Alpha's brother has brought a horde of undead to the pack's door. Dusan, Lucien, and Bardhyl set out to find Meira before her sickness kills her and takes her from them forever.

This book was full of action and I liked seeing the pack dynamics between Dusan, Lucien, and Bardhyl and how Meira was taught more about what it meant to be an Omega so much, though. Despite a little repetition in the beginning, this story added depth to their broken world that only allowed readers to love the characters more. Meira grew as a character and the men continued to learn how best to love her which was fascinating as her response was to run away from their love. It will be interesting to see their relationship development now that she has learned to accept and embrace them. There is enough mystery to urge readers to crave a third installment and a killer cliffhanger, so if you enjoyed the first book, you will love the next part of their story.

All filler, mild spoilers ahead.

Mad continuously being called a step brother was really frustrating. They are half brother. They have the same dad. Different moms. Step siblings share zero biological relations.
The descriptions of Bardhyl are constantly contradicting. Bouncing between him having sandy blond and white hair. Which is it?

The ongoing drama of her inner monologue of missing her alphas and her heart breaking doesn’t make any sense. She knew them for like five seconds. She hasn’t shifted so her wolf doesn’t even recognize them.
&Her arousal constantly being called her heat is extremely confusing especially when they casually mention that she’s in heat occasionally.

The fight between Bardhyl and Dušan didn’t make any sense. He didn’t fight Lucien when he claimed Meira. So why did he fight Bardhyl?

None of this book honestly had any real significance to this whole story all until the very end. It was all just a bunch of unnecessary filler. This book could have honestly been a longer stand alone and been really good had the author truly paid attention to necessary details and didn’t contradict everything while moving way too quickly out of nowhere.

Okay now we're getting somewhere.. Kind of.

Dusan..
Lucien..
then enters,
Bardyhl..

Holy alphas, need I say more!

I still find Meira annoying especially when the 3 alphas go to any length to find her including leaving the pack and safety of the compound to go and find her because she ran from them. We finally get to the bottom of what makes Meira immune and whoa did not see that coming at all!

I admit I got excited when it was the hulking viking and her and I knew what was coming(heh heh) we now have three alpha fated mates. A RH if you will.
Bardyhl tries his hardest to stay away but ultimately he just can't. His wolf and her wolf call to each other and then it happens.

3 fated mates.
1 alpha who doesn't see it coming.
Acceptance and jealousy are hard pills to swallow when you want someone for yourself.

These books may be kind of eh for me but the build up and then the cliffy (chefs-kiss) but this one had me shaking my head as I read it and noticed the percentage at the bottom to what was left in the book and I knew it was going to end in a good way..
It did!

Now onto the last book.. fingers crossed. It can only go up from here, right?

Book two in the Shadowlands Sector series leaves off where book one ended. She's running away, afraid of herself if she turns into her wolf and pretty much is feral. Her journey is fraught with perils, the infected, the rogue wolfs that try to capture her and use her. She helps rescue a girl twice interesting in that I believe that girl will reappear. Her two mates plus Bardhyl go searching for her after destroying the infected that were let in by Mad the evil stepbrother, he is a piece of scum. He believes that shes the cure as shes immune to the infected. While running she saves Bardhyl the go through fighting rogues then the infected . A storm happens so they hole up in a cave and then it becomes interesting because the Berserker claims her. Lots more action happens when the other two finally catch up to her. More bonding time, more fighting against betrayers. That ending was wow! Great book ,loving this series!

Better than the first book. Ended at 97%

4.5 star rating. This second book to the trilogy was better than the first. I was not falsely mislead of how far along I was in the book or if I should be expecting the end soon. The book ended at 97% which was better than book one's 85%.

Meira grew as a character in this second book. The alphas were acting like well...alphas lol, but they were also able to show Meira a softer side of themselves. The villain now...what can I say besides I saw that coming from the first few pages in book one. I just knew he was going to be the villain and ruin everything.

There was more action and romance in this installment to the trilogy. You get to meet new characters. Some had a very short life span time on the pages. I am curious about what happened to Jae. So author, curious minds and all that lol.

I'm looking forward to reading the last book and seeing how it will all wrap up.

No star rating because I DNF this one

I like Mila Young's work but this one just wasn't for me.

As an omegaverse-style RH, the FMC seems to be biologically unable to say no to her alphas even prior to them claiming her. It's this "my traitorous body" and seemingly lack of free will that just kind of gives me the icks. This is a common theme in most omegeverse style books and I'm thinking I should just avoid this genre altogether.

There's a fine line where an alpha-male character is either commanding vs controlling, or strong vs forceful and the men in this book skirt that line constantly. Omegaverse-style alpha males also have a tendency to physically manhandle unwilling omega females "for their own good" and I start to get second-hand irritated by it. All of it is explained away by the alpha's "protective instincts" or the omega's "biological desire to please their alpha".

If you enjoy omegaverse-style books you will like this one.

This was an excellent follow-up two the first book and the continuation of the Shadowlands Sector series. Mila Young is quite imaginative with world-building, the characters, and the supernatural elements while adding zombies to the premise. Meira shows more growth in this instalment; after running away from her Alphas mates, she realises it was a mistake. Furthermore, her illness is explained to her and why the infected don't respond to her. The storyline is centred around survival and romance; it's engaging, entertaining, suspenseful, and steamy. Meira and her Alphas, including her new mate, are great, their relationship continues to blossom and grow, and I'm totally invested in the outcome of their journey.

Krys Janae did a fantastic job with the narration. She breathed life into the characters making the story even more enjoyable. Shadowlands Sector is a well-written and entertaining paranormal reverse harem romance and worth the listen.

Wow, this was even more intense than first part. There was constant running : running from, running behind, running to. Also so much of fighting: fighting the undead, the rogues wolves, the packs. But as well fighting within yourself, fighting the attirance, fighting to be with the Alohas. Meira is completely torn between being with them and running from them to save them from her (and her wolf). But there is a very welcome positive developpement into her relationship with her mates. There is also so much steam in there, that I was afraid my room became a sauna. But what’s the worst, there is betrayal, one that runs deep and it finish... into huge cliffhanger. This story is so captivating that pages turn on itself and the time flies by, I don’t regret any second I spent reading it. I will melt into shadow and turn into Ash waiting for continuation of this book.

Meira still hasn’t shifted after being with two powerful alphas and she’s on the run again she cant stay with the men if she cant shift and she’s worried that others will want her because she’s immune to the undead. The only problem is Dusan and the other two alphas know why she’s immune now after the blood tests. The 3 alphas split up and go looking for her turns out she has to save one of them, and well she has to do it more than once. Things also heat up and she ends up mated to 3 alphas. The book will have you on the edge of your seat with all the action that occurs and just when you think that there is going to be a happy ending things get turned on their heads again and a storming is coming from a front that no-one could see coming. The book ends on a massive cliff hanger and now I’m just wanting more like now. But like Meira I’ll just have to wait to see what happens.

Not my usual book in the terms of the dystopian brutal world, but RH is my thing so gave it a go. So GLAD I did, really intense situation with a MFC who is a ghost for a lot of her life and has to navigate so many new situations that cause anxiety and fear but she grows each and every chapter.

In this second book she is torn from her mates and has to in fact rescue them - it's brilliant! A female that is clever, not physically strong, being able to manage a scary, forced proximity mission to save her men... and she succeeds!

The names of the guys are similar - so if you listen on Audible as I did - it's tricky at some parts to ascertain who is who. However, they do not all just instantly fall for her and it takes some time to see the truth before they are consistently tested and challenged throughout the series.

Great read

While I'm usually not a huge fan of wolf shifter series, I do love this one so far. It's different than what I've read before.

Meira is a great, layered character. She's a fighter, yet vulnerable. She's fierce, self sufficient and is used to be on her own in this post apocalyptic world.

This book picks up where the previous book left off and we see how Meira tries to get away from the Ash wolves. Her mates however are looking for her. This book is mostly a lot of world and character/relationship building and I loved it so much. The heat is definitely present and the pace picks up as we near the end of the book. Cue cliffhanger, but damn, this was an amazing read! I need to know what happens next asap!

I LOVED this story even more than the 1st one. I didn't think that was going to be possible.

The story picks right up where book 1 left off and I couldn't put it down until the last word.

I loved all the twists and turns and am dying to read book 3. Some will say this has a cliffhanger, but remember it is a series, not a stand alone. I thought the ending was done well - no book hangover for me.

I was already a big fan of Mila and this story exceeded my expectations. If you love shifters or reverse harems, this is a series you need to read - highly recommend reading books in order.

I received a free advanced copy of this story and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Fearing for her alphas and the risk she was placing them upon, Meira was fleeing but not for long because she didn't know how powerful the mating pull was. Interesting the differences between the alphas, intriguing Meira's issue with her wolf and intense and exciting how the alphas were working, together, to bring the wolf forth. Funny and exciting Bardhyl’s character. Lots of action and suspense with detailed descriptions and narrations that kept me dreading for Meira. With so many monsters the violence was right and left, with the dominant, sexy and imposing alphas the level of passion was at the limit and the intense cliffhanger left me intrigued trying to imagine possible outcomes. It's maddening that I have to wait! I love this series!

Meira still isn't fully in control of the deadly wolf inside of her, and she can't risk it harming her mates. Trying to keep them safe, she attempts to stay away from them, but there is no running away from fate.

What a heart-pounding second book in this RH paranormal romance series. Every time I come back to this world, I'm reminded how much I love it. So much detail in the world building. It's just not a world where the shifters rule, but a devastated one where zombies roam in hoards. Meira's struggle just pulls all my emotions tight, but what I really love about this book is that there is more Bardhyl. Oh yes! The big Viking wolf. He's my favorite of her alphas! Lots of action and steam. Highly recommended.

I’m hooked

Ahhh what a cliffhanger!!! I need to immediately download book 3 because things are really picking up, and something big that I’ve been waiting for finally happened.

The books are shorter so pretty quick to read. So far there’s been a lot of push and pull between Meira and the guys - she’s trying to run away to keep everyone safe, and they’re chasing her down. The whole book was them trying to find her and then a little bit of what happens when they get her back.

I’m starting to see the bigger story besides the romance and the zombies, which is good because it’ll keep the story interesting.

Really enjoying the story still and would highly recommend if you like RH shifter romances and zombies!
