Rate this book
In the third Maidels of Morning Star novel by fan-favorite author Charlotte Hubbard, the five unmarried Amish friends who teamed up to transform an abandoned barn into the Morning Star Marketplace are preparing for a joyous Christmas season. But will the holiday also bring unexpected tidings of love?

Founded by five unmarried and enterprising Amish maidels, the new Morning Star Marketplace in small-town Missouri is preparing for a joyous Christmas season. But will the holiday also bring
unexpected tidings of love?

Twin sisters Molly and Marietta Helfing are eagerly anticipating Christmas, with Marietta fully re-covered from cancer and their noodle making business thriving. But Molly clearly misses having former tenant Pete Shetler and his rambunctious dog, Riley, around. Marietta can't ignore Molly's feelings for Pete--or the anxiety it stirs within her. Convinced her illness has made her unmarriage-able, Marietta wonders what kind of life she'll have if her sister marries--despite Molly's promise to never leave her behind...

Then a fire destroys the home of Amish neighbors and Molly and Marietta graciously make room for widower Glenn Detweiler, his dat, and his two young boys. When Pete returns to help the fami-ly rebuild, Molly relishes her reunion with the handsome carpenter, while Marietta delights in moth-ering Glenn's boys--and is surprised by her poignant bond with their quiet, brooding father. Soon everyone is wondering if this season will bring the blessing of a merry double wedding to Morning Star...

Drawing upon her experiences in Jamesport, the largest Old Order Amish community west of the Mississippi, longtime Missourian Charlotte Hubbard (a.k.a. Naomi King) writes of simpler times and a faith-based lifestyle in her new Seasons of the Heart series. Like her heroine, Miriam Lantz, Charlotte considers it her personal mission to feed people—to share hearth and home. Faith and family, farming and food preservation are hallmarks of her lifestyle, and the foundation of her earlier Angels of Mercy series. She’s a deacon, a dedicated church musician and choir member, and when she’s not writing, she loves to try new recipes, crochet, and sew. Charlotte now lives in Minnesota with her husband and their border collie.

I just read a wonderful Christmas book. Yes, I know it is July. Christmas Comes to Morning Star is the third Maidels of Morning Star novel by Charlotte Hubbard. It will be published on August 24, 2021.

Thank you to the wonderful Kensington Books that allowed me to read the ARC through NetGalley. It was my privileged to be offered the opportunity to read this ARC. All thoughts and options are my own.

The Morning Star Marketplace was founded by five Amish maidels in the small Missouri town of morning Star. What would a Christmas story be without a little romance, right?

Molly and Marietta Helfing are twins that run a noodle-making business. Marietta is fully recovered from cancer that ravaged her body making her feel not eligible or suitable for marriage and far from beautiful. Her sister, Molly and she make a pack to never leave each other.

widower Glenn Detweiler, his dat, his young son, and his infant son need a place to stay after a devastating fire that destroyed their home. This is the last straw for Glenn. He has lost his wife, his mom, now his home. Even with the grace of God is there any road back to happiness for him? Molly and Marietta open their home to the family.

Pete, the Bishop's nephew and former border of the Helfing twins, returns to help the rebuild. His interest in Molly also returns. Marietta builds a strong bond with the Detweiler boys, and they with her. This bond is strong enough to pique Glenn's interest.

All this leads to the possibility for a happy-ever-after story for these four friends.

I encourage you to order this wonder 5-star book today.

I have been enjoying the Maidels of Morning Star series where five unmarried and enterprising Amish maidels founded the local Marketplace, and this was a great addition to the series. Each book features another of the founding members of Morning Star Marketplace and this book features twin sisters, Molly and Marietta Helfing. It is getting close to Christmas and they are preparing for a wonderful shopping season. Marietta has recovered from cancer, but her treatments have left her sterile. Molly is very protective of Marietta, but Molly is worried she will marry and leave her alone. Marietta realizes she has feelings for former tenant Pete Shetler and his rambunctious dog, Riley. They lived in a cabin on their property while working for his uncle. Pete was raised Amish, but was never baptized, which means he could not court Marietta. When their neighbour, recent widower Glenn Detweiler's house burns down, the Helfing sisters offer to let Glenn, his father and two young sons live in the cabin while their house is rebuilt. Because there are no cooking facilities, they end up staying in the house with the sisters. Will Molly and Marietta find their happily ever after?

This is one of those books where it seems everything is going wrong. Poor Glenn, he lost his wife, his mother and his house. He also has concerns that his dad is having issues, perhaps dementia. Pete comes back to Morning Star and finds Glenn living in the house with Molly and Marietta, while he had been relegated to the cabin. He is hurt and jealous of Glenn. Marietta wants to have children, but is unable to due to cancer treatments. Molly has feelings for Pete, but he is not Amish. This story gives the main characters time to develop those relationships and find joy through their beliefs and their faith. Christmas Comes to Morning Star was well-written with developed, friendly characters. I liked that we meet up with the maidels from the previous books, Lydianne and Regina, and see what is happening in their lives. There is also a side story about Jo and a young man she is interested in, but her mother is bitter and unhappy and tries to sabotage the relationship. The Morningstar Marketplace sounds like a wonderful place with all the fabulous shops filled with homemade Amish goods, that will put you in the Christmas Spirit with all its decorations, hot chocolate and Christmas Cheer. A delightful Amish Christmas romance, that I enjoyed.

Molly and Marietta Helfing are twin sister’s who are in their 30s. They make a living selling their homemade Amish noodles in a shop in The Marketplace. Marietta feels that no one will ever want to marry her since she had the mastectomy last year and is unable to have children. Molly does not want to leave her sister alone, so she plans on not marrying as well despite her attraction to Pete Shetler. Glenn Detweiler has lost his wife and his mother. He is trying to take care of his two young sons and his aging father as well as his business. Grief is overwhelming him. Then a fire destroys his house. He is thankful when the Helfing sisters take in his family. Pete worries that Molly is falling for Glenn and wonders if he has missed his chance. What does the future hold for this foursome? Christmas Comes to Morning Star by Charlotte Hubbard is the 3rd book in The Maidels of Morning Star series. I recommend reading this heartwarming series in order. I thought Christmas Comes to Morning Star was well-written with developed, friendly characters. I love the maidels in this series. This book focuses on Molly and Marietta, but we also get to catch up with Jo. Jo Fussner likes Michael Wengerd, but her mother’s bitterness is standing in her way. Love, hope, grief, community, and family are the themes of this story. I enjoyed catching up with Lydianne and Regina as well. Bishop Jeremiah Shetler is a kindhearted man who cares about those in the community. Bishop Shetler is a good man who is eager to marry Lydianne. Two of the women have found love, and we are hoping the other three will as well. The Marketplace sounds like a wonderful place with all the fabulous shops filled with homemade Amish goods. Christmas Comes to Morning Star is a story that puts you in the Christmas spirit (even though it is August). Christmas Comes to Morning Star is a comforting tale with homemade noodle pudding, a devastating fire, a disagreeable mother, a caring bishop, and three unmarried maidels.

With Christmas comes anticipation, joy and a reason for the season. Twin sisters in a small town in Missouri also share a birthday in December. Thirty-five years they have shared life and being on their own, sharing a noodle business. In many ways they are the same in faith but their personalities are different. Molly says what she thinks and is not always what you call a typical Amish Woman. When her sister Marietta Helfing had gone thru cancer treatments, she too shaved off her hair to stand in solidarity with her sister. Marietta shares a quiet faith. They had overcome so much during this time and continue to strengthen the bonds they have as sisters. Once romance hits their lives, it changes everything. In different ways, the sisters work thru their own relationships to include others and still be in community. Nothing said that more than Glen. A widower with 2 small children and living with his dad. With the help of Marietta, he has hope again for a future. But is it a hope that is based on love? Or is a hope of convenience.

Molly and Pete child hood friends they have always bantered well with each other but something changes when they realize their feelings run deep. A discovery of how well you can be with another. How we are meant not to do life alone and how suffering always strengthens faith.

All was done in the backdrop of the Christmas season. A hope, a joy, anticipation in a life shared.

A special thank you to Kensington Books and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

I truly enjoy Ms. Hubbard's books and this one is no exception. I love returning to Morning Star and am never disappointed.
I especially loved this one because I really appreciated what the novel was about and I learned quite a few things.
Ms. Hubbard must've read my mind and wrote this story especially for me.
When you folks pick this story up, you'll figure out why I love it.
A lot of wonderful messages throughout this book and I felt sad when the novel ended.
There were several things that I didn't like but I won't give them away. Otherwise, the story was almost perfect!
Fleamarkets are most especially my favorite! Never know what you might find in there! I've found lots of cool stuff!
Everytime I read a book in this series, I felt like I was right there with all of the wonderful characters that made the marketplace special in my opinion.
I look forward to seeing what Ms. Hubbard writes next! Hopefully we'll get to go back to the Marketplace.
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

I, like others, waited for the latest installment of this ongoing wonderful series. I was so happy to read and travel the journey of Molly and Marietta to happiness. This book brought me a smile on my face and left me waiting now for the next book. Charlotte Hubbard's series never disappoint, unless you count having to wait again to hear what has happened in our 'friends' lives. I highly recommend the entire series!

Oh yes, it's a 'Christmas' book; however, aren't all things supposed to point the direction to Him?

4.5 stars.

Christmas Comes to Morning Star by Charlotte Hubbard is a marvelous Amish holiday romance. Although this latest release is the third novel in The Maidels of Morning Star series, it can be read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend all of the books in this wonderful series.

Molly and Marietta Helfing are twin sisters in their mid-thirties. They share their family home and they own a very successful homemade noodle business. Since the Morning Star Marketplace opened, they are busier than ever.

In addition to the noodle business, they also rent portions of their home during the tourist season. Now their previous tenant, Pete Shetler and his rambunctious pup Riley, has moved out, Molly and Marietta find their home a little too quiet. But after a devastating housefire destroys Glenn Detweiler's home, they gladly open their doors to him, his children and his dat.

Marietta has mostly recovered from her breast cancer treatments. She is certain no man will want to marry her so she remains committed to living with Molly. When widower Glen Detweiler temporarily moves in, she takes charge of his seven-year-old son Billy Jay and baby Levi. Marietta is completely smitten by the children and she beginning to experience tender emotions for Glenn.

Glenn’s year has been absolutely heartbreaking as he mourns the loss of his wife and mother. He is lost in his grief and he is barely coping with the added childcare duties. Luckily his dat, Ruben lives with him, but his father’s mind appears to be atarting to slip. Crushed under the weight of grief and responsibility, Glenn is devastated at the loss of family’s home. He is appreciative of the community’s help in rebuilding his home and more grateful than words can express as both his sons blossom while in Marietta’s care.  Glenn is surprised when he begins to care for Marietta but will she be receptive to a romantic relationship?

Molly misses Pete but she cannot envision a future with him since he has not been baptized and clings to his English ways. He is also a little immature and acts before he thinks. So, she taken off guard when he is selected to oversee the construction of Glenn’s new house. However, unbeknownst to Molly, Pete is taking stock of his life and begins making some interesting changes. But will his impulsivity ruin his chances for a future that might include Molly?

Christmas Comes to Morning Star is a charming Amish romance with a delightful cast of characters. Marietta and Molly are wonderful, independent women who genuinely care about others. Glenn initially feels lost and hopeless but as he regains his faith, he finally realizes what he needs to do if he wants a life with Marietta. Molly is upbeat, feisty and caring when Pete needs her most. The Amish community selflessly come together when one of their own need a loving hand. With characters realistically growing and evolving, Charlotte Hubbard brings this heartfelt Christmas story to an uplifting, happy conclusion. With one secondary story arc unresolved, old and new fans will be impatiently awaiting the next installment in The Maidels of Morning Star series.

I just love this series. Each charming book picks up right about where the previous one left off. And yet you don't even need to have read the others to understand what is going on in this specific story. The main focus is always on the couple-at-hand (or in this case, make that double), but there's just enough of an explanation of those already paired off to help you understand, without giving away too much information. That being said, I would still recommend reading them all at some point.

A lot has happened to our maidels in just a few short months. It's been fun watching their relationships grow. You just knew early on that Molly and Pete were going to fall for each other because of the way they bickered and picked one each other. It's just Pete has an awful lot of growing up to do in spite of his age. You just want to kick him so many times.

And you hope that Marietta can find love. It's hard enough to be an older Amish woman, let alone one who is now considered deformed and cannot bear children. She has a big heart and you just want to see her happy. And you want the twins to figure it out around the same time so that their separation doesn't lead to a long isolation, since they have been together their entire lives. Christmas is often a magical time, even in the Amish realm.

Glenn is a tough one. His previous behavior has left a lot of a bad taste in my mouth, though I understand why he has been such a mess. It's not fair that some people seem to take a bigger hit than others, though that often leads to the person growing into a better version of himself.

As with the previous books in this series, I was left with a warm and fuzzy feeling and plenty of smiles throughout. Now we just need to find out what is going to happen with Jo! And what is going to happen to the Marketplace when all of our maidels are settled in their new lives.

We don't get many stories of the Amish, in Missouri, but this series is a keeper!! There are 5 young Amish women who think they will be "old maidels" and so they plan their life accordingly. They come together to transform a barn into a marketplace....Morning Star Marketplace and here we have the stories. This is the third, in the series, Christmas Comes to Morningstar and can be read alone, but I find it's easier to understand the character's relationships by reading the books in order and we can follow the characters as they grow and develop.

Molly and Marietta are twin sisters, who have vowed to always be there for one another.....one will not leave the other. And that proved to be a blessing as Marietta went through cancer treatment and is now on the other side of that journey. BUT, during that process, the sisters took in a tenant, Peter Shetler that seems to have a piece of Marietta's heart.....or maybe it's just his dog, Riley, that holds that piece. But Peter has to move out and now how will life turn out?

As life moves on and everyone has full days at the Market we watch watch as the girls continue their noodle business. And then crisis strikes again.....there is a fire at Glenn Detweiler's home.....a widower with a family who now has no place to live!! So, once again, the twins open their doors, to the Detweiller family, including Glenn's father who is having memory issues. Well, if the twins are going to stay for one another and the house has enough room, why not open it to those in need??!!

What a trip and what a journey these men, women and children are having. Sometimes good, sometimes trying, sometimes it makes a person question their minds!!

This is a great book that will bring you satisfaction and wanting more as you turn the last page, so sit back, enjoy a good drink and wander through the Marketplace!!

Christmas Comes to Morning Star by Charlotte Hubbard is a seasonal Amish romance that will warm your heart and fill you with the joy of the season.

In the latest book from Hubbard's Maidels of Morning Star series, twin sisters Molly and Marietta Helfing eagerly await Christmas. Marietta has fully recovered from cancer, and the sisters' noodle making business is thriving.

When a fire destroys their neighbor's home, the sisters welcome widower Glenn Detweiler, his dat, and two boys into their home. When Pete and his dog, Riley, return to help the family rebuild, Molly enjoys their reunion and a chance at happiness, but Marietta is convinced her illness has eliminated all prospects of marriage and worries over what kind of life she will have if Molly marries. Still, she delights in mothering Glenn's boys and bonds well with his father. Will the season bring the blessing of a double wedding to Morning Star?

What a tremendous addition to a wonderful series. Hubbard could not have written a better seasonal story. The Morning Star community becomes like family as you travel along their journeys with them, and when you add the holidays into the mix, you come up with a truly heartwarming and inspiring tale.

Hubbard knows her genre and is a masterful storyteller. She never disappoints in keeping it fresh, while staying true to what her fan base enjoys. Watching these characters evolve through three books has been a delight. If ever there were a series ripe to be transformed to the small screen, it is the Maidels of Morning Star. Though Christmas Comes to Morning Star can easily stand alone, it is such a fabulous reading experience to start at the beginning.

Christmas Comes to Moring Star is the perfect seasonal romance for lovers of Amish fiction and inspirational romance.

It's never a bad time to read a good Christmas story, and Charlotte Hubbard's Christmas Comes to Morning Star is definitely a good one to read!

If you have read Morning Star and First Light in Morning Star, you have already met most of the characters in this story and know the history behind the Marketplace where most of them are involved. You can read this book without having read the first two, but I think you will appreciate the story much more if you pick up the others first.

As usual, while Charlotte Hubbard's diligence in her research of the Amish lifestyle shows in her story, she does create communities and characters who stand out from much other Amish fiction. Molly and Marietta, two of the main characters in this story, are strong young ladies who are very vibrant and complex, even as they live within the rules and customs of their community. While romance is an important part of the story, it doesn't happen without its share of challenges. There is a large dose of loss and heartache, as well plenty of love and growth, in this engaging story. It takes a wide range of characters, including a couple of adorable children and an energetic dog, to fill out the plot. And, without giving any spoilers, there is another romance brewing that I'm hoping plays out to a good end in the next book of this series.

I highly recommend Christmas Comes to Morning Star to fans of great Amish fiction. Thanks to Charlotte Hubbard for providing a copy of her book and to Goddess Fish Promotions for allowing me to be a part of this book tour. I am happy to share my own thoughts in this review.

Your sister can be your best friend, I know my sister certainly was and still is. So, it was great to read about Marietta and her sister Molly in Christmas comes to Morning Star that have a tight bond too and have stuck together through thick and thin. It's been a life and death sort of situation for them at times. That can make moving forward in life difficult and we worry about how the other will survive if things change. When it comes to love, others around us worry as well.

I loved the character Glen in this story. I'll just say it, he is a mess. You know though, his character was true to life. Things just come at us and sometimes we handle it great and sometimes well, we mess up. A lot of things just came barreling at him all at once. For Glen, there is no hiding behind a rock though and wishing it all away, especially when you have a young son who needs a Mom. I loved too that he had a wonderful church family really stood behind him and showed him support and love.

This book had many great characters and it definitely put me in a Christmas mood. This will be a keeper on my Christmas book shelf. Okay, I don't have one but I'm going to make one now. A great read!

This book was given to me by the publisher but all opinions are my own.

I loved returning to Morning Star and catching up with the residents of this community, especially the maidels who will capture your heart. They are five friends going through ups and downs, offering encouragement to each other as they face whatever challenges life gives them. This novel focuses on twin sisters, Molly and Marietta Hefling the owners and operators of a successful noodle making business. There is so much to celebrate, Christmas is almost upon them, Marrietta is fully recovered from cancer, but there is a bit of sadness as Marietta misses their former tenant, Pete Shetler.

There is so much to love about this book, seeing the growth and maturity of some of my favorites that I’ve grown fond of, seeing the faith, love and friendship continue. This book is emotional, sweet and a wonderful addition to the series.
Charlotte Hubbard has once again crafted memorable characters, an amazing storyline and a warm, loving community and I’m excited to see what she has in store for her readers in future books,
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I enjoy the spunk and take-charge attitudes of the Amish maidels of Morning Star. They are at a stage in life where they have determined that they are complete just as they are. If the right man comes along, they are open to romance; however, none of them are desperate for a man. One of the five who were instrumental in turning an old stable into The Marketplace is married and another is engaged. The remaining three seem to have men who are interested and potentially well-suited, but they all have reasons, whether valid or not, to shun the attention they are receiving. I find it quite interesting that none of them appear to have been noticed until they got involved in starting The Marketplace. This story takes place in the weeks leading up to Christmas, a most wonderful time for new romances to bloom. And it is most definitely a great time for secrets. As folks are preparing for Christmas and enjoying the season, not everyone is full of good cheer. Some people are simply determined to be miserable and make others around them miserable. Readers often pick a favorite character in a book. Riley could be a likely candidate in this story, but I would have to choose young Billy Jay and his Dawdi Reuben.

The Amish lifestyle is always of great interest to those of other faiths. It is rather idyllic. Glimpses of this way of life can be seen in the everyday life of the twins, Molly and Marietta. They run a prosperous noodle-making business and are content in their singleness which has come to 35 years worth, come their birthday, around Christmas time. A couple of gentlmen come along and throw a wrench into this peaceful scene. Will they be thwarted once again, or...? See what happens....

Christmas Comes to Morning Star is a very inspiring story written by Charlotte Hubbard in her Maidels of Morning Star series. The characters are very likeable and realistic. The storyline keeps building keeping the readers interest. This story centers around Molly and Marietta Helfing who are eagerly awaiting Christmas. Glen Detweiler from a previous story is dreading the approaching holidays after the passing of his wife and mother. When disaster strikes Glen's family again his faith is all but distroyed. When the community comes together to aid Glen's family he doesn't realize what he will find with the help of the Helfing twins. This story is filled with love, faith, and second chances. The author has written another wonderful story for her readers enjoyment.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response and all opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.

It's nice to revisit some familiar characters and learn more about their stories! There is LOT going on in this novel--at least 2 full plots plus several more partially developed plots that I imagine will be continued in future books. I had to pay careful attention to keep everyone straight, but the overall story was very sweet and uplifting. These are genuinely good, kind people and it's nice to see them find their happiness.

This is a bit more PG than some Amish romances, but a little bit of spice just adds to the fun. There were some language choices that were a bit unexpected--I'd never seen an Amish man described as "cocksure" before--and possibly some more "worldly" phrases than you'd usually hear in this type of novel, but nothing that seriously detracted from my enjoyment. I'd highly recommend this as a sweet, fun, good-spirited Christmas read!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

Welcome back to Morning Star marketplace. This story focuses on two unmarried twin sisters, Molly and Marietta, who own a noodle making business and works out of the marketplace. When Molly starts having feelings for Peter, Marietta feels left out because she thinks that cancer has robbed her of the opportunity to get married and that she is about to lose her sister to marriage.
When a fire destroys the home of their widow neighbor Glen, the sisters offer him, his two boys and his father to come live with them while his home is being rebuilt. Marietta enjoys taking care of the boys and her relationship with their father starts to grow. Is love on the horizon for Marietta? Will the sisters have a double wedding or will it be a single wedding? This book was hard to put down because I wanted to see the outcome. I was given a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my review and honest opinion.

This book will get you in the Christmas spirit!!! This is the third book in The Maidels of Morning Star series. You can read this as a stand alone book, but I highly recommend reading the first two books to get to know the characters.
Molly and Marietta are twins who run a noodle business. Marietta is a breast cancer survivor who is resigned to never get married. Molly has a crush on Pete, who is living like an Englisher. Molly and Marietta invite widower Glen Detweiler, along with his father and sons, to live with them after his house burns down.
There is also a secondary character, Jo, who is getting to know the local florist. I hope Ms. Hubbard writes a fourth book to let us know if Jo finds love!
Will the twins have a blessed Christmas? This is a great story about love and taking chances.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author and Kensington Books through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Under Your Nose

*** Goodreads winner recipient of e-copy ***

There is so much love entwined in the binder of this story. I absolutely adore how their community weaves them within each other's lives.

Glenn and his family have had one hardship after another. Between the death of his wife, then his mother and now the family home has gone up in flames. How will he accomplish anything? He has a newborn and young son and his father to look after. Now he needs to build a new home for them to live in.

He is completely beside himself until he learns that Marietta and Molly have opened their home to all of them. Marietta has volunteered to take care of his newborn and is helping his son, Billy Jay, learn his lines for the Christmas show.

One thing he didn't realize, was how much Marietta accomplished every day. He began to see her as the wonderful woman she is and has begun to think of having her in their lives permanently. Can he convince her his love is genuine?

Love visiting the Morning Star, Missouri Marketplace. The market was founded by 5 unmarried women who wanted to give people a place to show their wares. It is getting close to Christmas. Twins, Molly and Marietta Helfing, are anticipating a great season. With Marietta recovered from cancer and their noodle business booming, what could make the season brighter. However, Molly is missing Pete Shelter and Marietta cannot help but feel somewhat blue. Feeling as if no one will want her after her cancer, Marietta cannot help but wonder what she will do if Molly were to marry. Fate has another twist. Fire destroys their neighbors home. The twins graciously offer widower Glenn Detweiler, his dat, and his two young boys a place to stay. Before long, everyone is wondering if a double wedding is in the air. I love Charlotte Hubbard writes. Her characters really come to life. I look forward to returning to Morning Star. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

Charlotte Hubbard is one of my favorite authors, and I know that reading her books are like receiving a warm hug, and this read did not disappoint.

Now if you've read some of the previous books about the Marketplace, you will be reunited with past friends, but this is a book that can be read alone! This read will update you on friends, and questionable characters, whom we are now about to embrace.

We are left hanging with some of the people we now know, so I am hoping for another visit to Morning Star, and more updates!

This is a book that does not disappoint, yes, there are some sad happenings, but there are several warm and fuzzy! The only problem I have is that the book ends, and I need to close the cover!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Kensington Books, and was not required to give a positive review.

I have just loved this series and book 3 was a wonderful conclusion, although I wish it could continue. But I am sure Charlotte Hubbard will continue with other wonderful books!
This was an inspirational and sweet conclusion at the wonderful time of Christmas. Marietta and Molly are the main characters of this book. These twins are strong, caring and just wonderful despite what has happened to Marietta as she has recovered from cancer but has been a wonderful help to Glenn, who himself has experienced more trials than he feels he can handle. As she ministers to his children, he sees hope for a future, but Marietta feels that she could not be the wife he needs or wants.

It's a touching story and brings happiness to the soul. A very lovely book that I would happily recommend to others.

I received a copy of this book from the author and NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

This series has centered on five unmarried Amish friends. This book is centered on 35-year old twins, Molly and Marietta Helfring who run a homemade noodle stand in the Morning Star Marketplace.

Christmas is approaching and friendships take unexpected turns among the many characters. We see family relationship trials, decisions of remaining Amish or turning English, surprise relationships developing, on-going tragedies for a family and the opportunity for the community to come together to show true love and giving during this special time of the year.

Christmas brings very special gifts to Molly and Marietta that make this a special Christmas read. I highly recommend this book and was given an advanced copy by Kensington Zebra and NetGalley. The opinions expressed are my own.
