Read, Laugh, Repeat, a misleading title that did not keep its promise. I guess that also because of the fact the the stories are dated and the timeline stretched all the way from the 70s to 2020s. Though they did not incite may laughs, they did bring a feel good warmth that comes from personal experiences pleasantly shared. For that, I give my three stars.
Like all Chicken Soup books, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Read, Laugh, Repeat: 101 Laugh-Out-Loud Stories is a collection of personal stories written to make you read, laugh and repeat the stories. There were several stories that I could relate to. In fact, one of the stories I shared with my family because they did the exact same thing to me on the day after our wedding while opening gifts.
Most of the stories are such a bore. i just rushed to finish the book. The first 20 stories were interesting, or were they interesting?? Atleast they didnt make me think that I made a mistake. But beyond that I just couldn't be engaged with the book
I had low expectations because I normally don’t read/enjoy books like this and received this one as a present, but I did really like it. It was an easy read, most of the stories made me smile and some did make me LOL.
Always fun to read short humorous stores, especially these days. I was happy to have my short essay, Confessions of a Lunch Maker reprinted in this anthology.
loved it made me laugh i know we shouldnt laugh at other mistakes but this book is great atleast you realize your not the only one who has moments love to get chicken soup do more of these books..
A mildly humorous book which fully displays, by way of its authors, some of the postmodern sensibilities which have been embraced in the last couple of decades.
