About the author

Jon Cronshaw is a British science fiction and fantasy author based in the north of England, just south of the wall.
As a freelance features writer, he has had work published in local and national newspapers across the UK, including the Yorkshire Post and the Guardian.
He earned his PhD in history of art from the University of Leeds in 2011, focusing on the life and work of Anglo-American sculptor, Jacob Epstein (1880-1959).
He's a voracious reader, guide dog owner, ex-gamer, and wrestling fan.

If you’re looking for a collection of fantasy stories that will keep you engrossed for hours upon hours then the complete set of Ravenglass Chronicles Omnibus by Jon Cronshaw is the perfect coming of age fantasy collection that is utterly entertaining! Cronshaw did a phenomenal job of creating such a beautifully descriptive world and fantastic cast of characters you can’t help but fall in love right from the start!

This omnibus is all about the fearless and intrepid Kat, the heir to a brutal empire, who wants nothing more than to have her own freedom to explore, find love and learn about all things magical. However when decisions are being forced upon her, she suddenly finds herself on a magical journey of self discovery as she tries to find the mysterious Guardians, unlock the secret of her powers and dish her the truth behind her family’s past.

I absolutely loved going on this journey alongside Kat as she embarks on this epic adventure series of finding herself and accepting destiny. I absolutely loved her growth throughout the series and how everything flowed beautifully together. This fast paced fantasy collection is full of adventure, mysteries, magic, intrigue and tons of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Overall if you’re a fan of epic fantasy adventures with hidden magic, found families and reluctant heroes then this collection is for you! This set of stories is a fantastic and totally addictive immersion into an amazing new fantasy world with fabulous characters to keep you enthralled for days upon days!

I cannot imagine the difficulty involved in keeping track of the characters and subplots which appear throughout this epic adventure. The writing comes together to form an engrossing tale that keeps your interest from beginning to end. Bravo. Well written.

I read this 2nd instalment because I don’t like to leave a series unfinished. That is the only reason I finished it as when I got to the end the only thing epic about the finale was the overwhelming feeling of disappointment.

A very good read

I liked the way the author kept all of Kat's experiences in line, plus injecting her dream where appropriate. Keeping little secrets along the way made it more mysterious, made me want to keep reading to see if I figured them out correctly.
