I’m finally a transfer student at the Academy of Enchantment…
Except I’m miserable.
I miss everyone in Dread—Harlow, Jean-Claude, Riven and Griim.
Now I find myself in the most beautiful place, surrounded by sunshine and nature.
Yet, every person I meet, with the exception of one, is cruel and rude.
Not only that, but my magic is acting up—I’m creating things I shouldn’t be able to create—twisted abominations. It’s almost like there’s… a stain on my magic.
All I can think about is returning to Dread, returning to the men in my life, but there’s another part of me that insists I have responsibilities here, responsibilities I can’t ignore.
But, when I get arrested for having possession of my golem, Riddle, everything I know will be turned on its head…
Please Note: This is a paranormal reverse harem academy series meant for readers 18 and over. This is also a SLOW burn reverse harem romance.
Everly is headed back to the Academy of Enchantment but she is miserable . The people she thought were her peers are just rude and cruel . She misses the friends she made in Dread .Harlow , Griim Jean - Claude and Riven . Not only that her magic is really starting to act up and all she wants to do is head back to Dread where she is wanted but her responsibilities here that she just can't ignore .But when things start to go from bad to worse will she survive and will she get back to the place that she can call home . Everly and the guys are back . She is back and trying to be the good dryad . You really start to feel for her in this one . She feels like she just doesn't belong and people are not what they seem . You see her struggle with her feeling and her duties . We really get to see her realize that things aren't rosy in the place where she thought she belonged . We also get to meet some new characters in this book. Kingsley is one character . He seems like he is one of the nice guys but alas never trust the librarian even if he is a deer. My favourite character is Riddle he is so sweet as a familiar to Everly . He is just cute and yet so deadly . I have been waiting for this book and was so happy when I found it , it was coming out . I just adore this authors style of writing . It is like talking to a really good friend when you sit down to read her work . I read this book in an evening and laughed and was on the edge of me seat most of the night . I truly like these characters and love what the author is doing with them . This is a series that you can really get into . Check it out if you want a fun read that will have you laughing and worrying through out . Check it out it won't disappoint .
Bad to Worse finds Everly finally being transferred to the Academy of Enchantment. Except, her experiences are less than enchanting. She endures cruelty and rudeness around every turn and things get worse. She conjures the unexpected with dark magic, furthering the distance between what is supposed to be a spectacular time in her life and the horrible treatment she receives from fellow classmates, teachers, and townsfolk. After she’s arrested, Everly’s world shifts on its axis and life as she knows it may never be the same.
Bad to Worse was a bit darker than book 1, even though Everly is back in the land of sunshine and beauty. Her time in Dread has changed her and she’s become an outcast among her own people. She longs for Harlow, Jean-Claude, Riven, and Griim but she knows how important her schooling at the Academy is for her, her family, and her people. Evil exists everywhere and Everly is going to find out just how bad things can be for her.
I enjoyed learning more about Everly, seeing her grow, try to stand up for herself, and just be allowed to learn. Being away from Dread slows down the already slow-burn romance but continues to set the stage for Everly, Harlow, Jean-Claude, Riven, and Griim. The end of the book made me gasp and is heart-wrenching. I am anxious for the next book.
Everly is on her way to the school Academy of Enchantment like she was supposed to before. She is missing the people she left behind in Dread. Everly forces herself to think about why she is going to this school. Everly already has had a bad experience on the train. She meets Kingsley and he is nice to her. Everly is having the hardest time at the school. All the students are treating her badly and saying she is tainted. Everly realizes that her magic is no the same. Everly realizes that she is in danger and finds out the hard way about friends.
This was a really fast paced read. You will see all Everly try to put her best foot forward in this school. She will learn a hard lesson at the school. She realizes comes to realize that there is danger lurking. The author will hook you from the first page to the last. That ending was so good. There is a lot I didn't write, so not to spoil it. I recommend reading this book.
Sooo much happens in the second installment of the F My Life series!! Talk about action packed!
Just when Everly thinks she's where she's supposed to be the bottom drops out and well... I'm not gonna go into too much cause it's way to easy to spoil this one. Just trust me... Its a phenomenal read! I couldn't put this one down! Please bring on the 3rd installment asap!
This was not long enough, I need more!!! A lot happens in this book. It is so good, and definitely ends just at the part....you don't want it to. The supposedly "good guys" are jerks and the "bad guys" are hot! Their kisses are literally heated. Can't wait for the next one!
I'm really liking this series. However it's very short. This book stops at 125 pages. The rest is stuff from other books. The story is good though. I'm loving her men. I'm hoping we can see some progress between everyone. As of right now there is romance.
Well, that had me turning those pages fast! A fast-paced book, and I liked where this story is going. Now I do have to wait a while before book 3 comes out, but it’ll be worth it, I’m sure!
I enjoyed this well-written book. It grabbed my attention and kept me reading. This is the second book in a series, though it can be read as a standalone story. This book was entertaining and I am interested in reading more books in this series as well as other books by this author.
This book is a fast read, but covers alot. I love the characters and the world build is great. My attention was grabbed from the beginning all the way through the end. Heading for the next book now
Great book! Fast paced & action filled. I love the characters & I’m eager to see where the story goes! Everly’s character is ever changing, I’m excited to see if she brings the two sides together.
Love and Light Isn’t Always What It’s Cracked Up To Be
This is the second book in the Ever Dark Academy series. The book falls in the Young Adult genre. There is the potential for romance but it isn’t fully explored in this book.
This book follows on directly from the first. Everly has formally made the transfer to the Academy of Enchantment Magic in the realm of Arcadia. She should be ecstatic. This is everything she worked for. She’s not though. She misses Jean-Claude (her host vampire), Harlow (the incubus demon), Riven (the shadow demon) and Griim (the golem). They feel like family and she is regretting leaving them behind.
She thought she would be happy in Arcadia but it turns out that Dread’s magic leaves a mark on the soul which all the other students can see. Everly feels like an outcast and starts to question her place in the academy.
During her time there she comes across the journal of a former student from Dread who had also made the transfer to Arcadia. So far, no-one has been able to read its contents except her. The powers that be in Arcadia feel she is a threat and something needs to be done to remove the new knowledge from her memory. Fortunately for Everly, Griim has been watching her through the flames. As it turns out, the light is quite a dangerous place to be.
I enjoyed this series so much that I read them all back to back.
The reading order for this series so far is:
Bad Blood : Ever Dark Academy, Book 1 Bad to Worse : Ever Dark Academy, Book 2

Everly returns to the academy she was meant for but all is not as it should be. As a being of light and nature at least the land accepts her. What is her role and what is she really? Excellent second addition to the series.
