Okay so… this is incredible. Like INCREDIBLE! Reading this just days after finishing Nevada brings to this a whole other level. Being trans and coming from Sydney also makes me appreciate this on a whole other level. To Elektra, Thankyou! Thankyou for writing this and making me feel validated and providing a great playlist to go along with that validation.
This book isn't for me or about people who have lives very similar to mine, but I was looking for books by trans people about trans lives. You can download it online, for free if you want, which was a bit of a red flag (I assumed it's self-published, and most self-published work is at best middling and needs an editor) but also meant I had nothing to lose by trying it. So happy to find it was written well; each section was short and I'd sit down to read a few pages and just keep going. I couldn't get the link to the playlist to work, but looked songs up as I went.
