When an ex-boyfriend turns Jayne’s night out into a living hell, he has no choice but to make a deal with two hot, hunky, would-be bodyguards. The promise? If they can get him out unscathed, Jayne will do anything they want…

Sarcastic, snarky, and totally fabulous, when single dad and bioethicist Jayne is cornered by his abusive ex-boyfriend on a night out, he comes up with an escape plan on the fly—find the biggest, strongest, and thirstiest man in the club, and seduce him into giving Jayne safe passage home. Easy. Over the last few years, in a bid to mask the pain of loss, Jayne’s bedded more men who fit that description than he can count, and he knows he won’t have any trouble bagging one tonight.

Until one becomes two, and suddenly, nothing’s so certain anymore.

Everett’s secret relationship with his lifelong best friend is on its last legs. The promise? It might be what saves them.

In love with a man who can never give him what he needs, Everett sees the writing on the wall. While he and his boyfriend, Caleb, have made an arrangement that keeps them together, they’ll need something more if they want their relationship to last. Nights spent at the club finding beautiful men to take home and share are nearing their end. With a promotion on the horizon and Everett’s weekends about to be swallowed by work, to save the love they share they’ll need more than a one-night stand—they’ll need someone who’ll make them want to commit.

And when Everett lays his eyes on the confident, intelligent, hilarious, and oddly glittery stranger who approaches them one night with an unusual invitation, he has a feeling their search might be over.

Blindsided by a shocking revelation, Caleb’s determined to spend each day like it’s his last. The promise? If it means another night of fun shared with the man he loves, he’ll give it all he’s got.

When a night out with his boyfriend ends with a steamy proposition from a gorgeous stranger, Caleb doesn’t think life can get any better. Still reeling from news that broke him over a year ago, Caleb is eager to distract himself with carefree fun, and there’s nothing he likes better than seeing Everett have a good time.

Only there’s something in their perfect stranger’s eyes that speaks to him—something he can’t shake.

And something that leaves him ready to defend both Everett and their glittery conquest when what should have been the hottest night of their lives goes wrong.

The Promise is a 145,000 word contemporary omegaverse novel featuring a quirky group of single dads, a glitter arms deal of epic proportions, a scene where cosmetics are applied in a way that’ll leave you blushing, a metric f*ckton of fun, and three men who discover that love can’t be divided—but that it can be multiplied.

Piper Scott debuted as a trio of authors looking to write together for fun. Their collaboration led to three novella-length books (Love Me, Save Me, and Keep Me,) before life sent them in different directions, leaving just one author with an omegaverse plot bunny that wouldn’t leave her alone. Obey was born several months later… but the plot bunny never left—it multiplied.

Left to her own devices, Piper Scott writes scorching but heartfelt contemporary omegaverse romance about men you can’t help but fall in love with.

Ugh, I hated it. I like ménage relationships but I don’t love them. I always feel like someone is left out and I have yet too see where it’s equal. I don’t even know why Caleb was part of the book because it seemed like the Jayne and Everett show. It just annoyed me a lot to see that they were obviously closer and made the read not fun. Another reason, I was so flipping bored I wanted to cry, there was a lot of times when I had to power through and not DNF like I so baldly wanted to. Again I skimmed so much I’m not even sure I shelf this as read. One more thing, I’m seeing a pattern in these ménage books. Two people are already in love and connected and then a third person comes along. And then they realize that their relationship is so much better with them and “omg what would they have done with out this person”. I’d love to read where it’s 3 or more strangers that fall in love together not 3 or more people that are already in love and meet a stranger and fall in love with said stranger. Anyways that’s all I have to say, but I am super exited for the next book and at least this book made me like Knot a lot more

It may just be me since the majority of readers seem to absolutely love this story, but I really couldn't connect with the characters here. I also felt that the story dragged and I found myself skimming through parts of it and it still took me 4 days to get through it. Even the SDSG chat couldn't help me with that. There was a lot of secrecy involving Everett and Caleb's relationship and it turned out that the reason was nothing all that big and it was almost the same for me with the build-up to what a psycho Bastian had become and the eventual resolution of that story.

As I said, I appear to be in the minority so you may get more mileage of it than I did, but I'm sorry to say this was my least favorite book of the series so far. I am looking forward to Knot's story and having the man of mystery's story finally revealed.

4.5 stars!!!

I love this the best out of all the books in this series. Admittedly, I love the main series this one spawns off from. And the series so far hasn’t wowed me or even come close to the calibre of the main series. But this!! This was the saving grace!!! I loved it!! So much!! 😍

The witter, the banter, the humour and the babies!! They all come together and mesh into this lovely, lovely story. And to think I wasn’t too enthusiastic about reading it. The curse of the terrible blurb once again! Lol

So I love that this story has so many facets to it. It’s definitely helpful that it was layered over time so even though it can be read as a stand-alone, it might be overwhelming with so many different characters weaving in and out of the story.

Each book layers more people in, sort of like folding cream into cake batter, a bit at a time instead of dumping one into the other (not that I’m a chef/baker or anything. In fact I hardly cook but it seemed like an apt analogy. Lol! But I digress! 🙊). So read the books in sequence if you can. You’ll definitely enjoy it better.

I love that we see the original series cast make cameos (main series people aka the parents to this series people). I wish we saw Everett’s omega dad tho. I have a soft spot for him ☺️

Anyways, I don’t want to leave this universe. It definitely filled my heart 💓

All reviews are voluntary and my honest opinion.

Two dominant Alphas in need of a third to balance them. One omega on the run from an abusive ex.

The triad develops pretty quickly, but some of that is standard fair for A/B/O. Caleb and Everett are well matched, it's nice to see them compromise together, and fight to respect Jayne's bodily autonomy during his heat.

The beginning was a little sluggish for me, despite Piper Scott's advanced world building. I think it started pulling me in more once Jayne became more integrated in their lives, when the boys went out to make a nice gift basket for him, and when they got Shep to warm up and see them as mentors.

I like well functioning, healthy triads, and this does fit. There is emphasis on communication, trust, and boundaries.

Contains some sensitive material: Abuse, gaslighting, dubious consent -- all involving Jayne's ex, not the current triad.

I'm not always in the mood for m-preg, but when I am, Piper Scott usually brings their A game.

I really liked this, as it it has 2 things I love: best friends in love and a permanent triad.

But I did not like the premise for why Caleb and Everett felt they needed a third. Plenty of gay/bi men have healthy relationships without penetrative sex. Also they each felt that their 2 year relationship was on the fritz because Everett was gaining more responsibility at work. If the guys really loved each other, they would have made it work.

That being said, I loved Jayne. He was a strong omega character, and did make them stronger.

I liked this book a lot. It was a cute three-way relationship of equals. And the bottom/omega was clearly the one in charge of everyone, which I loved. My one complaint is that it isn’t really a stand alone book. I mean, I was never completely lost, but there were several times where I was like…what the heck is going on? I skipped most of book two and all of book three and four, so that is on me. And to be fair, the summary doesn’t claim to be stand-alone. But it was so close to being that! With just a little more information in certain parts (like I still don’t really know why Caleb had an issue with his dad. Something about a dormant health problem? I think?) I would have enjoyed the book so much more. Still, four stars for being adorable and sexy.

I really enjoyed this one of the SDSG. Jayne, Caleb and Everett are so perfectly matched for each other. But I can't wait for Knot's book. Unfortunately it will be the last of the series but she saved the best for last. Can not wait!!!!

I loved this book! It did take me a while to get through it because it had a little more angst than I thought. But Jayne and Caleb and Everett were all amazing and Shep was fun too! The love story was sweet and hot and as an MMM I didn't feel like anyone was the odd man out of the threesome.

I am glad that Jayne didn't turn out to be a bad guy in Mal's book and ended up being a fantastic character. Although I am going to be sad when the series is over, I can't wait for Knot's book!

I love this story so much and it's even better in audio. After meeting Jayne in the previous book, I definitely wanted his story, and I love that he got his HEA with Everrett and Caleb. This was a truly well written MMM relationship, and even though two of the people involved were already in a relationship, it never felt off balanced. I loved seeing familiar faces from past books and past series, this is probably best enjoyed if you've read all the previous SDSG books as will as the His Command Series (although the His Command series is definitely not necessary). All around a good story with lots of heart and plenty of laugh out loud moments, done perfectly by Michael Ferruiolo's amazing narration!

Such a wonderful addition to the Single Dad Support Group series! I knew there had to be so much more to Jayne than we saw before, and we finally get to know him under all the glitter and sass (which are pretty epic on their own in Jayne's case, tbh). My heart broke for him and Parker and everything his psycho ex put them through. But as much as I loved Jayne in this book, it was Everett and Caleb who completely stole my heart. Best friends and lovers, there is one significant reason they have never been able to quite make their relationship work on their own though the love between them is so deep and undeniable. When Jayne propositions them at a club, they are looking forward to a night of crazy fun.. but things turn scary quickly and things don't go quite as planned.. kicking off a series of events that will change all of their lives forever. I truly enjoyed the evolution of the relationship between these three men. Jayne is the missing piece Everett and Caleb have been looking for, and the two alphas are everything Jayne didn't know he and Parker needed or wanted. The chemistry between the three is sizzling, and that makeup scene?! Holy &%$@! Piper Scott writes some seriously hot stories, guys. The SDSG is hilarious and I swear they get more amusing with each book. I love the way they support each other, and also the way they nag each other. Poor Knot :D If you haven't read any of the SDSG books, this can be read as a standalone but I think it would be enjoyed more if you read the series from the start first. This one is another hit from Piper Scott and I cannot freaking wait for Knot's book!!!

Caleb and Everett meet Jayne in a club. The established couple are there for Jayne when he needs their help.
I loved the way they all came together. Allowing Jayne to go at his own pace. The first time they came together was smokin hot!!
There are plenty of feels between them all. The love and support amongst them tangible.
It was great watching them grow into their relationship as they begin to trust in each other and that they all have together.
I enjoyed seeing the other single dads too. I really look forward to reading Knot's story!!
A great story of love, trust, hope and family.
A great addition to the Single Dads series.

It pained me to give this book a lower rating compares to the previous books in the series.
The story was actually focus on Jayne. while Gabe and Everett in a cusp of their wobble relationship, finding Jayne was like a fresh new start (?). But I was a bit questioning the decision between Everett and Gabe to add someone in the middle. Bored (?).
I just hope their relationship doesn't really that fragile. It was only two years, and they need another?
I have no idea.
But overall, the story was fun to read, though I didn't really like Jayne's drinking habit.
Full review to come.

This series just seems to get a bit better for me with each story. This one was just all kinds of epic. The main characters are all connected in one way or another to members of the Single Dad's Support group...well, except Jayne because he is a member of the SDSG.

Anyways, there's just all kinds of fun in this one, but mostly there's Jayne...damn, I really love this guy he's fabulous.

This is my favorite of the series so far -- smoking hot smexy times, adorable babies, tough alphas turning into mush for their sassy omega, families coming together. Did I mention the steamy hot threesomes? And besides all that, it was LOL funny at the most inappropriate of times. Yes, I want Knot to finally get his own HEA and I can't wait to see what insanity that looks like, but I'm not sure how it's going to beat this one.

Note: this is book 5 in this series and as such contains major spoilers for the first four books and couples. It is recommended to consume this books in series order 🙂

Dr. Jayne Biernacki has an evil ex – Sebastian. He’s abused Jayne and has been gaslighting him for some time. He thought he was rid of him, but when he runs into him in a club, he finds Everett Langston and Caleb Allcrest enjoying a night out as well and offers to go home with them both if they can get them safely out of the club. But it soon becomes apparent this might be more difficult that he thinks – because he’s been drugged and Sebastian tries to stop them. When Jayne collapses, Everett and Caleb manage to get rid of Bastian, but they take Jayne home with them. Jayne is shocked that they have not only saved him from Basian, but they’ve washed his clothes, offer him breakfast and let him sleep in the guest room at their condo. He’s really amazed, but he’s got ot get to his friends to pick up his young son, so he rushes out.

When Jayne picks up his son from one of his friend’s house from the Single Dad Support Group, he runs into Everett who has come to pick up his niece and nephew who are also staying with the same friend and his husband and his teenage son. Both are surprised to see the other 🙂 Everett offers to take Jayne and Shep (Jayne’s younger brother) and his son Parker home along with Beau and Penelope. But when they get closer to their apartment, it appears that something is wrong – and that thing is the loss of Jayne and Shep’s apartment. Jayne is devastated as now he’s lost everything from his old life and his deceased parents 🙁

But Everett and Caleb take the small family in. They are very much interested in making a go of it with Jayne. As both Caleb and Everett are both Alphas, they are not totally compatible even though they’ve loved each other for years. They’ve kept it together by bringing in a third regularly. Jayne however is reluctant – and questions his own decision making because of the whole Bastian thing. He wants to take things slower because none of them have ever been in a poly relationship. And of course Shep is very skeptical about Caleb and Everett’s intentions 😉 He’s a cute baby alpha trying to take care of his older brother.

But the more time they spend together, the more apparent it is that their relationship is meant to be. They are completely compatible as a throuple 🙂 And it’s obvious that Everett and Caleb love him and respect him – something he’s never had before. But of course Sebastian has not gone away and strange things keep happening and Jayne feels like he still has to keep looking over his shoulder. And he’s not wrong.

There are also some other family situations that have to be addressed. Neither Caleb nor Everett has been honest with their families about their relationship. Everett has to decide about his future with his family business and Caleb has to make things right with his parents after his discovery about health situations that have left him angry and betrayed. But this new situation is an impetus to making things right between the Langstons and Allcrests and everything just might work out in the end 😉

I really really like this series. We have met these characters in past stories, but here they really get to shine. Caleb and Everett are the brothers of the main couple from The Proposal, and Jayne and Shep are the brothers of the main couple of The Decision. We have seen Jayne’s issue with Sebastian in that book and so it’s not so much of surprise that he’s not willing to let go of Jayne. When Everett and Caleb come to his rescue, they don’t know the backstory at all, but Jayne comes clean with them and shares the abuse that he’s suffered from Bastian. Luckily Everett and Caleb are good guys and they are not going to let anything happen to Shep or Parker or Jayne. Their relationship is SCORCHING hot but it’s based on love and trust with of course a nice shot of lust 😉 Shep also grows up a lot in this book as he watches his brother fall in love with these two men. So adorable 🙂 As usual Michael Ferraiuolo does a fantastic job of narrating this series. The voices are consistent between all of the books and I really liked getting to revisit the couples and friends from the whole series. Highly recommended – especially for fans of the single dads and M/M/M 😀

Independent reviewer for Gay Romance Reviews, I was gifted the audio version of this book.

This is book 5 in the Single Dad Support Group series, and while it's not totally necessary for you to have read books one through four before this one, I would recommend you do. There is much referenced here that happens in the previous books and it would give you a much better picture of this group of men and how they support each other. And also, I said so!

Because I bloody LOVE this series! Granted, The Proposal was a bit lacking something, but I still enjoyed. The entire series has kept me riveted and I hate that I have to wait for the next one to come out in audio. I don't like to switch between listening and reading in a series, i find it affects my enjoyment.

Anyways!

We met Jayne in book 3, however, I didn't click til book 4 who he was and where he fit into everything. Everett is Gage's big brother and Caleb is Aaron's twin (book 2) It took me a while here to place them, to be honest but you know, it's been a while!

Jayne's ex blindsides him on a night out and Everett and Caleb come to his rescue. There follows a delightful tale of two men who aren't supposed to love each other realising that Jayne is the one thing, the one PERSON they have been looking to make their lives totally complete.

The story line dealing with Jayne's ex aside, it really is a beautiful love story! I mean I've loved most of this series, and Mal and Vincent's story is as close to a love story as we got before. Oh don't get me wrong, there is romance, and passion, but I found with these three? Because Caleb and Everett are already in a committed relationship and they ALREADY love each other, adding Jayne into the mix and he really is the icing on their cake.

There is a huge amounf of chemistry between these guys. Even before there is any kind of sexual connection, there is an emotional one. Caleb and Everett think, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before they get Jayne into bed, that he is their ONE. I mean, I don't ususally like such rapid movement of such feelings, but cos of their already formed bond, both Caleb and Evertt can see, they can FEEL that Jayne is who they need.

But when they DO get Jayne down and dirty?? OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, I did not see that one coming! No ma'am I did not! There is a persona portrayed here, for all three men, and mixing in Jayne flips all that on its head and stomps it away! PHEW!!

I love that jayne found the strength to fight Bastian, his ex. To finally be able to stand up to him and put an end to his trouble.

I loved that Caleb and Everett take to Jayne's son Parker, and to Shep, Jayne's younger brother, so well. Being confirmed childless batchelors one minute, then dad to a baby and a teenager would throw most men off, but these two excelled themselves!

Michael Ferraiuolo narrates this series. I love his work.

The voices for each men are different and clear, and the Single Dad guys' voices carry consistantly through the series. He reading voice is deep and even, and I can just wile away many hours listening to his work. He gets over all the deep sated love that Caleb and Everett have for each other, and how much they NEED Jayne in their lives. He gets over how much it hurts Everett what Caleb is doing with his dad, or not doing as the case may be. He gets over how Jayne was so deeply hurt by Bastian, and how much he worked at getting free.

I just LOVE Ferraiuolo's narration of these books, I really do!

But now?? Now I gotta wait. . . .and wait. . . .and WAIT for book 6. KnotMyProblem needs his story and I so bloody need it I could burst! BURST I tell ya! So HURRY!!

5 stars for the book
5 stars for the narration
5 stars overall

Loving Jayne, Caleb AND Everett (an audio review)

I adored Jayne in the last Single Dad Support Group book. Snarky, defiant, glitter-obsessed. But those things hid a dark past and when Harlow suggested he join the online support group, Jayne, with a five-month-old, decided to reach out. Glitter Doctor’s arrival in the group caused quite a stir. Glit as he quickly became known, fit right in. And thus the group expanded. When his younger brother Simon moved to LA to be with Harlow, Jayne found himself reaching out to the other single dads living in Aurora to ask for help. And they stepped up. This new book is about closing some circles, so it eventually became apparent he had more connections that just the online ones.

Despite his horrible experience with his ex, Jayne still likes to lose himself in drink and random hookups. One night he’s out at a club and things go sideways. Fortunately two gorgeous men are there to rescue him. What he doesn’t know is Caleb and Everett are best friends. As they are both alphas, their attraction to each other is cute, but neither is getting all his sexual needs met. If they come across a willing omega, they’re happy to bring him home. But nothing has ever taken hold. They’ve never met a glitter-chested omega who struck their fancy.

Until Jayne.

But when things keep going wrong in Jayne’s life, the men are there to step in. At first it’s just a support system they’re offering, but soon it turns to more. Jayne is overwhelmed by his role as father to Parker and guardian to his younger brother Shep. He has an important job, and can’t afford to take time off work to handle the drama. Enter Caleb and Everett. Caleb is essentially a rootless playboy who lives off his trust fund while Everett is destined to take over the family business. They’re not hurting for money, so helping Jayne get back on his feet is a no-brainier. Oh, and the sex? HAWT.

Things come to a head and the world clarifies. Each man faces his past and charts a path into the future. A path that includes each other.

Needless to say I loved this book. I’ve loved everyone in the series and can’t wait until Knot My Problem – the last single in the Single Dad Support Group – gets his happy ending. Oh and glitter. Always more glitter. Finally I’ll mention Michael Ferraiuolo. He’s always a pleasure to listen to and between Ms. Scott’s words and his delivery, there are always laughs aplenty. So…waiting impatiently for the next book…

I received this book by the author and This is my honest opinion.
This book description intrigued me, I always love an mmm storyline and while not new to piper Scott's writing this is in fact the first book I've read from the single dad's series. I know shock horror, and book 5 to start off the series aswell😀, so this review is coming from someone with no knowledge of past characters or in-house jokes.
This is the tale of Jayne a fun glitter loving little dynamo, meeting Everett and Caleb both alphas that are in a secret relationship and the target of jayne to gain a favour to help him get out of the club to avoid an abusive ex. This is there story of actually developing there relationship whilst battling psycho ex's a belligerent protective younger brother, a baby and of course family drama.
But enough about the blurb, I really enjoyed these characters, Caleb and everett💘 be still my beating heart😍 they were just so adorable and I loved there caring natures, snarky banter and innuendos. Jayne was there bridge and together they were great but I had to feel for jayne, to come out of an emotionally abusive relationship and to feel worthless, let's just say I'm glad he got his happy ending. This book had great chemistry and loads of humour, I loved caleb 's interaction with the apprentice axe murderer (Shep, jaynes younger brother) and of course with jaynes child Parker. This book also was refreshing as it wasn't a mad dash to become pregnant as soon as jaynes heat was here which fit the character's integrity and love for jayne. This author made me laugh, sad, angry but at the end left me feeling content and with a smile gracing my face at how it all came together. Was there inside jokes, yes and of course previous characters were in this one with all there history but for a newbie like myself most things were explained and you got the gist of it, so can be read as a stand alone but to get the most out of it I think read in order which I intend to do. Great sassy heartfelt read💜

The Promise is the fifth book in Piper Scott's Single Dad Support Group series. As usual, we get to visit with the former characters as well as getting a great new romance.

I love this series; everything about it. It's filled with humor as well as heart. It's full of complications and a whole lot of amazing couple with great children.

Poor Jayne is suffering from the abuse his ex bestowed on him. His ex was manipulative and controlling, and Jayne can't get stop looking over his shoulder in fear. His life is tough enough, as he's raising his younger brother, in addition to his own baby. Considering himself damaged goods, he's hesitant to trust that Caleb and Everett actually see something worthy in him.

Jayne's background is heart-breaking. The abuse he suffered, and the amount of control his ex had over him is tragic. The whole thing is well developed, with a how lot of compassion.

When Caleb and Everett come along, a wonderful menage romance starts to bloom. It's tender, sweet, and romantic, as Caleb and Everett help Jayne to love again.

This triad is amazing together, as they protect, provide, and love one another. The balance between the three is perfectly written, as each man absolutely needs the other two. Everett and Caleb have been desperately in love with each other for a while, but they knew something was missing; they couldn't stay the a couple forever as they were. In Jayne, they've found the person who can connect them together, as he provides what each man has been lacking. This is menage at it's best, as they balance one another exquisitely.

The Promise is a tale of survival. Piper Scott's writing style is fantastic, as she pulls no punches. She expertly weaves a tale of ultimate love with a tale of abuse and danger. Ultimately, she tackles this tale about the power of love; both the power to destroy and the power to heal, in an impeccable manner. I am beyond impressed!

This is the fifth book in the Single Dad Support Group and it is fantastic. I love MMM books and when I discovered that's what this book was going to be I was so excited.

I called Caleb and Everett's relationship in The Solution. Seeing how much they love each other and how badly they want their relationship to work, even though they know that what they have might not be enough that doesn't mean they're not going to try.

Jayne's been hurt. Badly. The only thing he has to keep him going is his family. When he meets Caleb and Everett they help him out of a sticky situation and that is the beginning of the end.

Things happen that pull these three together again and again.

I love how they made not only their relationships with each other work but how much family was in this book. From Everett and Caleb's brothers together and fathers of small children, to Caleb making peace with his fathers, to Everett working with his dad, and Jayne having his son and brother, there's so much familial love in this book I thought my heart was going to explode. I love how the three of them made a family and incorporated each other into their lives. It showed how much they loved each other and what they were willing to do for that love.

This book was full of love, humor, so much humor. The Single Dads are hilarious. I can't wait until they're all in Fiji together and I can't wait for the glitter war that is to take place. So much glitter.

I'm dying for the next book in the series. The author is a giant tease and I need book six because I have so many questions. So many.

Fabulous, Love & Glitter!

This installment of a Single Dads Support Group series is amazing! A bit longer than the previous books, which is always good for me. As always one of my favorite things is the rapport and dialogue-often hilarious-between the SDSG members, but there are many other great things about this book of course.

I was so glad to finally get Jayne’s full story! We got hints previously so I had anticipated a bit of the scenario but it was awesome to finally KNOW. And having all the details makes me love him even more, plus bonus glitter makes him extra awesome. Caleb & Everett are perfect for each other and for Jayne also. Celeb’s humor is up there with SDSG dialogue for making me smile like a loon whole I’m reading. Together they all complement each other and mesh perfectly. Of course not just in the day to day, but in the bedroom...can we say MMM? Yes please and thank you! Yummy, sexy, and still loving and compassionate.

I also enjoyed-besides the dialogue-seeing previous characters and single dads, as well as how their lives have changed for the better as they settle into their futures. And I’m really anxious for poor Knot to get his HEA...plus I’m very curious to find out more about him.

Overall an amazing book, and series-read the earlier books in the series if you haven’t! I think this is my favorite of the series although that’s a difficult decision since they are all great. Well done and highly recommend, I’m looking forward to Knot next!

The Promise is the fifth book in the Single Dad Support Group series, a contemporary, omegaverse romance. The book does feature a poly relationship (m/m/m) so if that is not your cup of tea then move on. I absolutely love this series and was incredibly excited for this next installment.

This book deals with some heavy issues revolving around an obsessive and dangerous ex-boyfriend turned stalker, and the trauma and healing that comes from escaping an abusive relationship. Each of the three men in this relationship will have to face their own insecurities and work through these issues, both as individuals and together, before they can find their happy ever after. The romance was sweet with a lot of humor, sass, and incredibly hot sex scenes. I also really enjoyed the edge of danger that was threaded throughout the plot as the stalker became more and more obsessed. Overall, this was a wonderful read.

The audiobook was narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo who did a great job with the narration. Michael has narrated the previous books in this series and has a done a wonderful job making sure to keep the voices of the characters pretty consistent throughout the series. I had no trouble identifying each character throughout the narration and found it pretty easy to follow along in the story. Michael also did a great job with the performance and put just the right amount of flair and energy into the book without making it over the top. The audiobook production was well done and made for an enjoyable listening experience.

LOVED!

I loved this book. This is my favorite so far! I'm sure I say that with each new book in the series, but that means they just keep getting better. I love Jayne, Caleb and Everett. These three guys are wonderful. Jayne is as sassy and snarky as he was in the last book, but this time we also get to see who he is under his shell and behind his walls. He has been hurt, but still open to new experiences and new people. He hold so much inside, that it is great to see him let himself be free with Caleb and Everett.

I can't believe that I didn't get the connect between Jayne and his brothers names. Once Mal made his appearance in this book I got it along with the characters. I love this love tribute to a fantastic series.

I loved the message this book gives. How great Caleb and Everett are with Jayne and his family. How they want him to be safe, loved, honored, cherished, enjoyed, and to feel capable. They don't need to take care of him, they need to love him and be there for him. They help him stand on his own two feet and help support his family as well. Shep needed an example of a good male role model, that isn't his brother, and the guys step up and take time to be there for him.

I highly suggest that you read all the books in this series since they are all great. I can't wait for Knot's story. I feel like it will be epic. This is an amazing series from a wonderful author.

Promise kept...Glitter galore!
This fifth book in the Single Dad's Support Group by Piper Scott has been long awaited by those of us who are fans and members of her author group on Facebook since she has been teasing us with some tantalising excerpts for the last few months. It has been well worth the wait. I barely put this down except to sleep and eat, and - oh, yes - go to work! LOL
We find Jayne, his infant son Parker and his younger brother Shep getting on with their lives after their middle brother Simon went to California with Harlow (MC couple from Book 4 - The Decision).
Enter Everett and Caleb two hot alphas who are brothers to Gage (TD2) and his now husband Aaron (MC couple from book 2 - The Promise). I love how they are playing Marco Polo in a nightclub when they meet Jayne...they have been best friends all their lives, so they have a strong dynamic! I love how Jayne works perfectly into the relationship at his own pace! I wanted to see Bastian get his comeuppance after what he's done to Jayne...a guy worthy of loathing!
This book did not disappoint and I was glad to see the threesome start to gel and everything seemed to develop naturally in the wake of some dramatics turns of events. Highly recommended to all fans of Piper Scott and the SDSG...sparkle, sparkle GlitterDoctor!

A little long winded at times, but written well enough to be entertaining.

While I kind of get why Caleb and Everett might have thought everybody would be disgusted at two alphas loving each other the way they did, is there really such a stigma against it? I'm never sure in what reality this book really is, since we don't really have male alpha and omega couples who can actually reproduce without any surrogacy involved in our world. However, most of the other book details offer details that are very familiar and normal, aside from a world with heats, knots, alphas and omegas.I

Jayne's an interesting character, while Everett was a bit of a killjoy and irritation in the moments after Jayne clearly shows his anxiety about getting to a safe place. He talks too much, nearly costing them Caleb's head as well as Jayne's safety by forcing them to slow down long enough for Bastian to catch up. Everett really has no real sense of preservation despite being physically stronger than Caleb, and Caleb is way more carefree, impulsive, motivated by his moods and desires. The overflow of their hospitality, care, and later, love where Jayne and his baby Parker is concerned eventually affects Shep more positively, and Jayne clearly provides them their missing link.

This one was sweet, albeit long (smile). Four and a half stars.

Glittery heaven

Ok wow just when I thought I couldn't fall in love this series any more than I already do Piper Scott comes back with this glorious book about three wonderful men who find that together, they can do, survive anything.
I highly recommend that you will get the most out of this series if you read them in order as there are more than a few in jokes by this group of single dads.
This fifth book of the series has been long awaited, Jayne (think firefly) is a Glitter arms dealer, Doctor, parent to Parker, Guardian to Seth and quite fabulous survivor- thank you very much. Needs a couple of knights in shiny armour so approaches Caleb and Everett, who have been in a secret relationship for years and love each other deeply but feel that something or rather someone is missing until Jayne stumbles into their lives. We also have the usual banter, snark and drama-queening from the the other single dads.
This is a lovingly written book and you can feel the love and attention that has gone into it. It has plenty of action in and out of the bedroom with chemistry between the three of them sky high and a found family that is so supportive.
I can't wait for Knot's book, it's going to be epic just like this one.

So I don't normally read throuple books. It's not normally for me. But I'm already invested in this series so I gave it a shot. I liked it way more than I thought I would. It's probably because this healthy of a relationship is pure fantasy, poly relationships can work but the one in this book was so....easy. They barely had to work for it. Everything internal to the relationship worked out perfectly. There was no internal strife. All the strife came from an external force - will the families accept them, what is Bastian up to, who is going to get hurt, and so on. There wasn't ever a moment where there was trouble in the relationship. Which meant this book was mostly fluff. It was sickeningly sweet. It was pure sugar concentrate. And it was cute.

I will gripe here that Parker felt like barely a character. I know he's young, but he was more of a prop than a child. There when you need him for plot, conveniently disposed of when necessary. The other side characters were fine. Also, the Langston boys have a habit of hiding grandchildren from their parents.

All in all, I enjoyed the plot. I enjoyed the reasoning behind why a third was necessary, I enjoyed the sexy times, I enjoyed the boys. Solid read.

Three Is Not A Crowd

When Jayne approaches Caleb and Everett in the club little did he know that his life was about to change. After making a deal with the two sexy men to get him to safety, things go haywire. Jayne wakes up and realizes that he had been drugged and when he ventures out of the room he sees the two sexy gods from the night before. After leaving them, Everett and Jayne meet again at a friend’s house who is watching his son and brother.
Everett can’t let Jayne get away. He and Caleb need him. He knows this. So when he offers to take them home after they go for breakfast, Everett is actually surprised that Jayne accepts. When he gets to the location of their building they see its on fire. There is no way that he’s going to let Jayne go now. He knows that he and Caleb need to be there for this family.
Caleb learns that Jayne, he’s son and his younger brother are without a home, and he offers them a place to stay. Months go by and soon more than attraction sparks.
This is an exciting and wonderful read. Piper Scott has done it again. Another 5 stars ⭐️. Yes there is more to the story. Come and read about this triad. I am amazed at how she wrote this relationship and their story.
