The story has a connection to the past. Cy's parents die in a car accident when he was five years old. Why did he survive? He found some kind of communication with the dead when doing paintings of meninges cauls (!) for a strange professor of medicine at university. Cy wants to become an arts major and excels in drawing. We write the year 1974 and the story starts with a crime. Beside classic university life from back then we see the main character (Cy) move into a mysterious woman and madness. What a haunting and page turning tale. Couldn't put the story down and hope that the author returns one day to this topic. He could feature a novella on Betsy for instance... I really would love to read how this tale continues... Highly recommended. Weird but fascinating!
