READER DISCRETION This book may contain emotional triggers for certain readers, as there are brief mentions of molestation, child abuse, violence and death in one of the chapters. -- After witnessing a federal crime and testifying, Camryn Young is forced into the witness protection program with a new career, new home, and new name. Camryn's left to fend for herself and start all over again, and accepts that loneliness is her new reality. Never did she expect to encounter a person from her past, a familiar face, in a sea of strangers. Never did she expect to trust and love again...
The only gift is very rare, hard to come by. I loved how the author took Camryn to it, especially being the survivor that she was. This story was emotional and touching. The three main characters were endearing; I'm wondering if there will be a follow up, as I really want to know what happens with Junie.
When life give you lemons, you make lemonade. Camryn went through a lot in her life with her family. Her parents seemed selfish of her needs from them. A chance reconnection with her past turns her life around for the better. Great read.
I loved reading this story. I started it couldn't stop until i finished to see if Camryn would open up to Bryson. I also loved the relationship between Bryson and Junie.
The off chance meet up of two former friends. Friendship that dates back to primary school. He sees his old friend as his niece’s school, and he is instantly smitten with her. A friendship develops around her niece, and the school teacher is happy to have an old friend to hang with.
