Whoa! Talk about a chilling tale that has terrifyingly real components! Uvi Poznansky’s OVERDUE places Ash in the crosshairs of a Russian mobster whose schemes to defraud health insurance companies, destroying the identities and very lives of his victims. Will Ash be one of them when she stops to help an injured young woman?

And again, Uvi Poznansky proves her artistic talents seem to go above and beyond the norm as readers are forced to sit on pins and needles, feeling exactly as frustrated and unnerved as the heroine, imagining themselves in such a brutally devastating position. Identity theft, a worldwide pandemic raging, a sinister villain and his group who seem to be like jagged slashes of shadows in the night. Suspense at its finest!

From the likable Ash to the mysterious woman who has stolen her identity to the mob on the brink of making millions, hang on for this one that begins with a toe tag and ends in a frenzied flourish. Great writing from this author that is both original and daring.

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Uvi Poznansky! This is my honest and voluntary review.

A first-class gripping suspense thriller with perfect pacing...

Overdue (Ash Suspense Thrillers with a Dash of Romance Book 4) by USA Today bestselling author Uvi Poznansky is another gripping suspense thriller in the series. It’s a superbly written and richly descriptive novel with brilliantly drawn characters and settings. The threads of storytelling are expertly woven in this gripping suspense thriller that it guarantees the attention of the reader. Skillfully constructed, this murder mystery will have you turning the pages from beginning to end. In addition, the characters are drawn with great credibility and conviction.

The book description gives a sneak preview: ‘Her bullet grazed his head, but the leader of a Russian crime organization is still breathing. One way for Vlad to avoid paying the price for his crimes is to play dead; another is to play dying. For Ash, this is not a game. She must learn his secrets. Only one problem: because of the raging pandemic, she must put her plan on hold… Vlad slips away from the hospital in a body bag, then develops a brazen fraud scheme that will bilk health insurance companies out of millions of dollars. If not caught in time, he will drive victims to suicide, rob Ash of her identity, and slit her throat… Will Ash manage to stay one step ahead of him and at the same time, protect her loved ones from contagion?’

I enjoyed the story, character development, and dialogue. There were plenty of plot twists that I didn’t see coming and that added to the book’s mystique. When I stopped reading to work, I found myself wondering what happened in the book, and replaying parts of the novel in my head to see if I could figure more out. It has been a while since I enjoyed a book this much. It’s a first-class suspense thriller with perfect pacing. Not much is as it appears here, which is just the way fans of mystery, thriller and suspense will want it.

The contrast between tone and content is a characteristic talent of only a few authors. Poznansky pays as much attention to her sentences as she does to her plots, shifting or consolidating meaning with the use of a single word. Her writing is impeccably honed, full of juxtapositions and qualifications that help to create a suspenseful atmosphere throughout.

If you are looking for a well-written and exceptional thriller with amazing characters and a gripping plot then Overdue (Ash Suspense Thrillers with a Dash of Romance Book 4) will not leave you disappointed. I’m a big fan of this author so I’ll be looking forward to reading more from her again in the future. Highly recommended and a well-deserved five stars from me.

What a perfect storm - an espionage thriller combined with identity theft in the pandemic. The protagonist, Ash, has shot a Russian crime leader named Vlad, who lies in a UCLA hospital bed in a coma. But how deep is his coma, and will he recover to come after her? The hospital is overwhelmed with Covid cases, and unlikely to keep tabs on him. Then comes more crisis when Ash and her boyfriend, Michael, rescue a woman they find near death on a deserted beach, and help to get her transported to the hospital. The mystery woman recovers and leaves the hospital having stolen Ash’s identity – driver’s license, medical insurance, everything. Then the violent Russian escapes, and what follows is a plunge into one frightening twist after another.

What distinguishes this thriller is its fine writing, deeply atmospheric, intelligent and emotional. It is another example of the author’s gift for showing ordinary people’s struggle to survive in terrifying circumstances. I enjoyed this book immensely and will recommend it to friends. Well done, five stars!

A walloping fine thriller!

Uvi Poznansky wears a coat of many colors. Originally from Israel where she studied Architecture and Town Planning then moving to the US where she studied Computer Science and became an expert in Software Engineering, Poznansky managed to combine the design elements of two studies into unique formats. And she has accomplished the same with the other side of her brain - making visual her ideas (she is an accomplished painter, drawer, and sculptor who has enjoyed exhibitions both in Israel and in California, her present base) and making words in poetry and in short stories and children's books. APART FROM LOVE: Still Life with Memories is an adult romance in five parts, and now the series – the Ash Suspense Thrillers - combines the thriller genre with romance. The entries to date - COMA CONFIDENTIAL, VIRTUALLY LACE, OVERDOSE, and now OVERDUE is Book 4.

From the first lines of this fine novel the mood and tone are set – ‘One way for Vlad to avoid me, avoid paying the price for his crimes, is to play dead; another is to play dying. And who knows, perhaps it’s for real. Perhaps it’s not a game. Still, I can’t help but remain on guard, even if to others, it may seem pointless. Last time I saw him – about a half a year ago – he lay contorted on the stretched hospital sheet, seemingly immobile, and never once lifted an eyelid to meet my gaze, which brought pity to my heart – but didn’t expunge the fear. I keep telling my self there’s no reason to be cautious. I shot him, and now he’s said to be in a coma….’

Uvi’s skill at both visual and written art is outstanding, but her history of diversity does not end there. A synopsis of this series Book 4 follows: ‘‘Her bullet grazed his head, but the leader of a Russian crime organization is still breathing. One way for Vlad to avoid paying the price for his crimes is to play dead; another is to play dying. For Ash, this is not a game. She must learn his secrets. Only one problem: because of the raging pandemic, she must put her plan on hold. Vlad slips away from the hospital in a body bag, then develops a brazen fraud scheme that will bilk health insurance companies out of millions of dollars. If not caught in time, he will drive victims to suicide, rob Ash of her identity, and slit her throat. Will Ash manage to stay one step ahead of him and at the same time, protect her loved ones from contagion?’

Beauty of prose bound together with a sensitive thriller make this very special series from a very fine writer. Even the cover art bespeaks Uvi’s artistic gifts. As she says, ‘The cover depicts Ash as she escapes the fire set in the LA headquarters of the Russian gang. I gave a lot of thought to making each part of this cover shimmer with texture and light, creating an explosive, dynamic urban backdrop for her’ Yet another aspect of Uvi’s talent! Highly recommended.

A pulse-pounding thriller you don’t want to miss!

I was so excited to see this new Ash suspense thriller released. Uvi Poznansky’s lyrical writing, gripping thriller storyline, and endearing characters explode from the page in the first paragraph. Drawn into the drama, I had a hard time putting down this story and couldn’t wait to come back and escape into this pulse-pounding read. I loved book one, Virtually Lace, and like a fine wine, the stories keep getting better.

Ash, a smart, stubborn, driven heroine exemplifies a strong female character. Her boyfriend, Michael, loves and supports her, which continues a fun romantic element but never detracts from the roller coaster ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Vlad, a villain you’ll love to hate, will make your blood boil.

I highly recommend this and the entire series, Ash suspense thrillers with a dash of romance. If you love page turners that will keep your heart pumping, don’t hesitate to pick up a copy of Overdue.

***** When Lyricism and Action Combine

A continuation of Uvi Poznansky’s series about Ash, this book is a wonderfully descriptive, yet, at the same time, taut story that keeps the pages turning. Both Ash and her boyfriend, Michael, are talented software engineers in the world of virtual reality. After having dealt with the evil Vlad, who, in an earlier book, ended up in a coma, Ash assumes she is now physically safe. Still, her harrowing experience with the Russian has left her somewhat skittish, so she moves away to Los Angeles, where the COVID pandemic is ever present, and she is left on her own devices. Protective, Michael tries to convince her to stay with him as they take one last walk on the beach together. There, they suddenly come across an unconscious woman with a needle stuck into her foot. After they deliver her to a nearby hospital, Ash lets Michael know she needs to be on her own for some heavy reflection.

That reflection period turns out to be fleeting. Soon, we are swept up with Ash as she receives a call from an investigative journalist friend, who tells her that the woman they had rescued had not only disappeared from the hospital, while she was in it, she had used Ash’s identity––her California driver’s license and medical insurance had all been stolen. If that weren’t bad enough, later, to add creepiness to the story, Ash finds out that the woman was also dressing exactly like Ash, wig and all, as well as talking like her. But WHY?

Intensity swells as Ash deals with one danger after another, both physically and electronically. Secrets and lies swirl all around her as the author shows great versatility by writing lovely lyrical descriptions one moment, then, in a flash, being able to create exciting, nail-biting action scenes. Now, that takes talent! Highly recommended.

YES the Russian's are baaaaccck. I knew they would be and I am SO anxious. Ash finds herself in another situation. This book, like book 2 has a socially relevant theme a pandemic. So I can't say too much about the plot other than the theme and the Russians. We are back in Los Angeles now too. This book features a character Voola that is just what makes the book elevate from good to great. Typical LA actress want-to-be and a drug issue.

Another hit nothing else to say Just read it

A Top-Notch Thriller
The fourth book in the Ash Suspense Thrillers series, “Overdue,” by Uvi Poznansky is just as chilling as the other three. It takes place during the pandemic before vaccines had been developed. Ash often self-quarantines in order to protect her loved ones from COVID-19, which has been expertly woven into this gripping story. Intrigue begins in the first chapter as Ash wonders if Vlad, a Russian mobster she shot, is dead or just pretending to be dying. She fears the latter. Because of the pandemic, Ash hasn’t been able to find a job and is living out of car. Her computer whiz boyfriend, Michael, wants her to move in with him, but she wants to maintain her independence.

When Michael’s Tesla is set on fire, he tells her it’s a warning. He saw something that the Russian mob boss wanted kept a secret. Michael uses a virtual reality tour to show Ash where he’s been snooping. Shortly after that, Michael is shot and tells Ash “there’s more.”

While Michael is hospitalized, Ash is kidnapped. Just when she thought a rescue was imminent, she finds herself in Vlad’s clutches. The mob boss commits horrendous killings without any remorse as Ash watches. Can she avoid his wrath if she refuses to become part of his criminal team?

“Overdue” is a captivating crime thriller with an intriguing health insurance fraud scheme, identity theft, and so much more. The numerous plot twists, subplots, and descriptions kept me engaged from the first page to the very last. I found myself cringing with each encounter Ash had with the ruthless Vlad. Browny, Ash’s golden retriever, added a nice touch to this well-crafted story. Highly recommend.

Overdue by Uvi Poznansky was a wild ride! Who is ‘the Voola’? Having read previous Russian mob books, I knew immediately, and that told me Overdue was going to be filled with twists and turns for Ash and Michael. My gut wasn’t wrong. Ash was on the radar of a Russian mob boss who lived to defraud and destroy people's identities and their lives.

When Ash meets a mysterious woman, the country is in the grips of the new Covid pandemic. Terrified for her life, and the life of her boyfriend, Ash is all too careful about interacting with someone she doesn’t know, but this woman was desperately in need of help, or so Ash thought.

The truth was something else altogether and Ash never saw it coming. In fact, Ash never dreamed that trying to be a good samaritan would put her life in danger multiple different times. The reader will be on pins and needles as Ash, and the people she loves, are put through the wringer by the Voola. Just when you think she’s going to be safe, nope! Ms. Poznansky keeps the blows coming one after another on both Ash, and her family, until you’re sure she can’t take much more. It is only then that the author gives the reader a breather and lets her characters find a little happiness.

Overdue is a prime example of Ms. Poznansky’s emotional and lyrical writing and it is obvious she has spent many hours on research for this thriller. This was the first Ash Suspense Thriller I read, and I didn’t need to read the first three to be able to follow this one. I definitely want to, though! If you’re looking for a well-written thriller whether you listen to this book on Audiobook or read it yourself, you can’t go wrong. The narrator, Heather Jane Hogan, brings this story to life in a wonderfully invigorating way that sucks you in from the first paragraph and holds your attention for the duration.

I received a complimentary audiobook for my honest and voluntary review as above.

Overdue by USA Today Bestselling Author Uvi Poznansky is the latest page-turning installment in the Ash Suspense Thrillers.

I had the privilege of listening to the audio version of the story, which I really enjoyed since the narrator did an excellent job, especially during the conversations, and her voice seemed to fit perfectly with every aspect of the story.

Because of the pandemic, Ash hasn’t been able to find a job and is living in her car, while Michael, her computer-savvy boyfriend, has been trying to persuade her to move in with him, despite her insistence that independence is of utmost importance to her.

Ash has a feeling that Vlad, a Russian mobster who she shot and left unresponsive in the previous story, is faking it. She’s biding her time, hoping that Vlad will reveal the identity of the man who was responsible for assaulting her, since he’s someone who works for Vlad.

When Michael’s vehicle is set on fire before their very eyes, Michael reveals that it’s more than likely a warning since he saw something that the Russian mob boss, who’d supposedly just passed away, wants to keep secret. When Michael takes her to his ‘garage,’ which operates as his virtual screening room, he shows her a virtual segment which he’d recently filmed involving Vlad.

Shortly after that, when Michael is shot, he claims that ‘there’s more’ before he’s rushed to the hospital.

And then Ash is kidnapped and finds herself in Vlad’s evil clutches once again. Watching as he commits fraud and murder – what does he have planned for her if she refuses to join his organization??

You’ll have to read the story to find out!!

Overdue is an exciting crime thriller with an intriguing plot and bunches of twists and turns that will keep you reading until the very end.

I’ve had the privilege of working with the author in a few boxsets in the past which is how I became a big fan of her writing. This review is my honest opinion.

Overdue, by Uvi Poznansky, is a thrilling ride through pandemic-ridden Los Angeles with a fiery heroine, the nastiest of villains, and plenty of heart-pounding action.

I have read and loved all of Poznansky’s books. Opposed to the norm where most series follow-ons aren’t nearly as amazing as the first book, these books get better with each new release. In addition to the danger facing the main character, Ash, and her race to survive, we also experience more of the exciting virtual reality aspects from the founding book, Virtually Lace, in a particularly creepy fashion!

A new, powerful character is featured in this edition who readers will simultaneously hate and with whom they’ll empathize. A bone thin actress with a habit plays a pivotal role. Ms. Voola is involved with the Russian thugs who are after Ash. Tightly woven into the mobsters’ schemes to take advantage of a world plagued by the virus, the chameleon-like woman is nearly the undoing of our hero.

As usual, this novel is beautifully written by a very talented author. And even though this is an action thriller, Poznansky finds ways to paint gorgeous described scenes without slowing down the action.

Here’s hoping the next book in the series is underway!

Who’s Voola?

“These days germs are nothing to sneeze at.”
(I know, right?)

Reading a story with the descriptive prose Uvi Poznansky is famous for is always a delightful experience and Overdue (Ash Suspense Thrillers with a Dash of Romance Book 4) is no exception. I’m no stranger to the wonderful characters starring in this tale, as this isn’t my first adventure with this snappy, imaginative series.

Imagine feeling as if you can exist in both the present and the past at the same time? Michael and Ashley have returned to their virtual reality ‘games’ - this time during the pandemic - to confront the Russian Mafia, restore stolen identities (both personal and insurance-wise), while Ash tries to extract the name of the thug who’d raped her. They are foiled at every turn.

As much as virtual reality has its pros, it also possesses cons, like cyber sickness, but that’s the least of Ash’s problems – discovering who has stolen her identity is – but, the issue of her empty bank account and stolen medical cards turn into out to be a much bigger scheme than the she and Michael realizes.

After Michael’s Tesla is incinerated by unknown bad guys, they’re left to wonder what’s next in store. After Michael is injured, Ash fears for her parents, whether it’s the pandemic, the Mafia, whatever – no one seems exempt from danger.

Darling Pa has also unintentionally contributed to Ashley’s woes, and every way she turns spells another disastrous episode for her and the ones she loves.

Just when I thought I had things figured out, Ms. Poznansky pulled the rug out from under my smug, little feet with twists leading me in unexpected directions – a reader just can’t help but continue turning the pages to see what happens next.

Overdue is a suspenseful, science fiction/action tale, dipped in the reality of our current problems with the virus, and woven with the sweet progress of Ashley and Michael’s romance. Although Ash longs for a dull moment…Oops, no spoilers here! Sorry!

A highly recommended read, with the promise of a wildly, entertaining and satisfying plot. Five golden stars for originality, action, and Ms. Poznansky’s brilliant talent for captivating her audience.

I love Ash and a fan of these suspense thrillers. I have read all of them in the series and once again, Overdue has emerged with five stars. The book is set during a pandemic, so it was easy to identify with the setting. The author set the mood and tone in the first few pages and the pace ramped up as the pages flew by. In this nonstop thriller Ash and her boyfriend, Michael, are centerstage with the Russian mob. As usual, the plot is well-constructed with unexpected twists and turns. The characters are expertly drawn, the dialogue believable and of course there is rich description that places the reader within the book. All in all, a great read. I love that the Ash books is a series but can also be standalone reads. However, I recommend you read them all. Five stars. Well done.

Overdue is Book 4 of the Ash Suspense Thrillers that has a Dash of Romance. Having read previous stories in this wonderful series, the stories kept me turning pages and Overdue was no different. Just when you think Ash will resolve one issue a bigger problem turns up.

Even though I knew Ash and her boyfriend, Michael, from a previous book as talented software engineers in the world of virtual reality, this book can standalone. Michael and Ash left the Russian mobster, Vlad, in a coma, in prison, luring them to believe she was safe. This thriller combines dealing with the problems the COVID pandemic requires while trying to avoid, a Russian gangster who escapes prison and is out for revenge, recovering her stolen identity which could be from a woman Ash and Michael found unconscious on the beach and helped to a hospital.

This author knows how to ratchet up the Intensity with the turn of each page throwing danger after danger in Ash’s path. Contrasting the physical and electronic issues that continually pop up with the loss of one’s identity are the heartfelt and all to emotional moments we see Ash with Michael, her parents and her dog. I truly enjoyed the layers of plot twists, the mystery of how it was done and the suspense this thriller delivered.

The complexity of the plot, the deceptions Ash must deal with are all wonderfully written and the author’s mastery of keeping it easy to follow is not lost on this reader. There is always another twist or turn you never see coming. I recommend this book and the series.

I've read the other incredible books in this series, so I knew this one wouldn't disappoint. In this story, the author has the main character Ashley remembering what she'd been through with Vlad - the Russian mobster that made her life a living hell until she gave him a bit of comeuppance by shooting him and putting him in a coma. A twist right at the beginning makes you think her life is finally going to settle down and that she's out of danger. In no way was that the case. Before the end of the first chapter, Ashley and her high-tech boyfriend Michael stumble upon a body that the ocean seems to have spit out. From that point on, it's nonstop drama, danger, and a full-on adventure for them - with a case of stolen identity for Ashely thrown in the mix to take the insanity for her to an even higher level. Ms. Poznansky did an excellent job of pulling me into the story and making me root for their survival. This story is fiction but it takes place during the current pandemic, so the characters not only had to deal with danger from Vlad and his cohorts, but also the possibility of catching a deadly virus on top of it. The author has put Ashley and Michael through a lot in all 4 books, but I hope this isn't the end of the series.

This can be a cruel and mixed-up world we live in at times.  Potential danger lurking around every corner, waiting to pounce on its latest, unsuspecting victim.  It can be difficult to ever feel safe in such an unpredictable environment.  In the middle of such chaos, many people will point out that at least we have ourselves and family.  Nobody can take away our family and personal identity they profess.  Oh really???

In her novel, Overdue, Uvi Poznansky clearly illustrates the flaw with such simple logic.  Particularly if you mix with the wrong type of people.  This is a top-notch thriller that packs a powerful punch!

Overdue is Book 4 of the Ash suspense thrillers,  Vlad, the leader of a Russian crime organization, is lying comatose in the hospital after being grazed by a bullet fired by our protagonist, Ash.  However, is he really comatose like he seems?  Or is this a clever scheme to escape and avoid paying the consequences of his actions?  Ash believes it is the latter and is not about to let him escape her grasp.  Unfortunately for her, life has a way of throwing unexpected curve balls our way.  In this case, it comes in the form of a brutal pandemic.  This forces Ash to step away from her plans and "guard duty."  In the process, Vlad (who was indeed playing possum) escapes and is soon back to his evil ways.  Shortly thereafter,  Ash finds herself smack-dab in the middle of a personal identity theft and health insurance fraud scheme.  Having had her identity stolen, Ash, and numerous other individuals who have suffered the same fate, are at risk of complete ruin.  This has Vlad written all over it, and Ash will stop at nothing to bring him to justice.

Without a doubt, this novel puts the word thrill in thriller!  It is full of action, suspense, mystery, and intrigue.  The author does not throw all of this at the reader right off the bat, however.  No, it is gradually unraveled as the novel progresses.  Bit by captivating bit.  This allows us as readers to truly engage in the tale as we try to figure out for ourselves what is coming next.  Just when we think we know...BAM... something nobody saw coming hits us from behind.  Poznansky truly knows how to weave her tale, so the reader becomes part of the entire experience, as opposed to an impartial bystander.

In regards to characters, we are once again treated to a literary gem.  As the protagonist, Ash could actually be any one of us.  She is put into a terrible scenario through no fault of her own.  This scenario is so identifiable for so many of us in today's world.  This authenticity works to draw us in even further to this clever tale.  As an added bonus, the novel presents Michael as Ash's love interest.  He is an entirely loyal and likable character who, in many ways, is the complete opposite of Ash.  He is much more easygoing and lighthearted.  This allows us not only to see his genuinely positive traits but gives us a real glimpse into Ash's vulnerable side as well.  Very intelligent writing!

In contrast to Ash and Michael, Vlad and his team of antagonists are presented as truly despicable individuals.  Willing to destroy and feed upon any poor soul as long as it fits their particular purpose.  I felt an intense dislike for them, which is needed to make a story like this work so well.  Characterization at its best!

Unquestionably, I was really able to identify and relate to this novel.  While it was an explosive fictional thriller... it all seemed so real!  The smooth flow of the writing certainly helped put all the exceptionally great story elements together into one cohesive and enthralling package.

5 out of 5 Overdue Stars for this one!  *****

“Overdue” by Uvi Poznansky, a talented writer and artist, is a superb, fast-paced crime thriller, the latest in a continuing series featuring Ashley Winters. Starting a series in the middle is something generally not recommended, as many writers are more concerned with moving the plot forward than ensuring new readers have the basic backstory of the recurring characters and their relationship to one another. Not so in this case. A new reader like myself can enjoy this intriguing tale that takes you deep into Ashley’s world as all the information we need is quickly made available. And Ashley’s world is about to take us, and her, for a head-spinning journey as she discovers her arch enemy, hospitalized in a coma, still presents a very real threat to her and those she cares for. Add onto that a seemingly chance encounter on the beach, and Ashley’s world is ripped away from her in a way she could not foresee.
The author’s skill at making her characters fully developed, believable people is crucial to our involvement as readers in this story and she carries this task off with aplomb. The degree of empathy with the protagonist, essential for the reader to share the sudden change in the character’s circumstances and react with the same degree of disbelief and revulsion, is able maintained throughout. We can sympathize with her dilemma, understanding with ease, how this could happen to anyone, including ourselves. That’s the brilliant hook, skillfully baited, author Poznansky dangles before the reader. It’s a hook so firmly embedded in our psyche, that despite all the twists and turns the tale takes, we are drawn at breakneck speed through a series of climatic situations right up to the deadly confrontation which ends the tale, as though we are standing alongside the protagonist.
A wonderfully written crime thriller to enthrall fans of Tess Gerritsen, Karin Slaughter, or Lisa Gardner. Highly recommended.

A fast-paced action thriller filled with murder and intrigue! Ashley and Michael (the protagonists) are at the epicentre of the story along with the Russian mob. An edge of your seat ride that will have you turning the pages eagerly to see what happens next. Overdue is part of a series and perfectly stands alone too.
Set in California during the pandemic (vaccines yet to be developed) Ash navigates through one danger after another. Ash is thrown into a world of chaos as she tries to piece together and solve an unfolding mystery while doing everything she can to stay safe from the virus. The challenges set before her do not deter her from her quest.
A Russian mobster is in a coma in the confines of prison. Ash is led to believe she is safe, how wrong she is. When he escapes seeking his revenge, Ashley's world is turned upside down. The plot has everything from losing identity to emotional moments with Micheal and her lovely loyal dog. There are many facets to the story and characters, it is not a one-dimensional story. The author cleverly weaves an intelligent dialogue as well as character development. Beautifully written and descriptive. I could visualize the characters and places. Highly recommend.

The action in OVERDUE starts in the first line and it doesn’t let up. The pace is at a gallop, and the tension and madcap adventure continues all the way to the end. The characters that populate the book are a quirky and dangerous blend of twisted pranksters and murderous thugs. It’s impossible not to laugh at the way they are portrayed, these menaces to society, despite their odiousness and ghoulish plans. They are wild characters without fear, hellbent on wreaking havoc.

While all this criminal activity is afoot, the protagonists―Ash and her boyfriend―are blissfully unaware of the mayhem coming their way. They are adjusting to the new rules under the pandemic as best they can, and they blithely sidestep the chaos until they are completely surrounded by it and seriously outnumbered.

But even then, Ash, is not without her wits or resources.

This is one of those highly entertaining yarns that keeps the pedal to the metal from start to finish. The predicaments Ashley finds herself in are laugh out loud funny, as well as seriously creepy. I read this book in two settings while recovering from an illness and it was the perfect pick-me-up. I really look forward to reading more by this talented author!

USA Today bestselling author Uvi Poznansky has given us another chiller that keeps you glued to the page. Our heroine, Ash, has already gone through terrifying traumas. But they aren’t enough to keep her from bravely going forward in this engrossing thriller. Fortunately she isn’t alone. Her boyfriend, Michael, tries desperately to protect her, but they’re up against brutal criminals. There’s also a pandemic swirling around them as they try to confront Russian mobsters and a schemer who stole Ash’s identity.

This thriller turns up the heat with each page, and Ash’s chances of survival grow slimmer. But Ash isn’t one to back down no matter what happens to her. A virtual reality program developed by Michael brings to life a chilling scene involving body bags that contain a lot more than corpses. Through it all, the writing, like the virtual reality program, gives the reader an up close and personal experience. It puts the reader at the scene of all the suspense and escalating trials. Five stars for this riveting thriller.

This was an exciting adventure during the COVID-19 pandemic. The author created a scenario that was based on criminals and how they adjust and hone their skills to steal from insurance companies during this time where everyone had to stay at home in fear of getting sick.

The main protagonist goes through multiple threats in dangerous circumstances and somehow keeps her cool. Her boyfriend is her only hope to survive as long as she keeps in contact with him.

This was a difficult book to put down or turn off and listen to on another day. An enjoyable book and the first time I listened to an Audiobook. The voice was more monotonous but I got used to it after several minutes.

I was gifted this copy and written this honest review.

Excellent writing by this talented author. Uvi does a marvelous job with her character and plot development. I opted to listen to an audio on this book and was pleased with the quality. As a listener, I believe there is more excitement if one can hear the story and place themselves in the situation. I can't imagine living the trauma that Ash did in this sizzling hot work. "Overdue" is not to be missed if you are a reader or listener who says, just one more chapter ... late into the night. As we all know when enjoying a great novel, sleep is highly overrated. Easy 5 stars for creativity and entertainment value.

I followed Ash from book 1 and started to love her and feel with her.
But with every book I thought, now all her nightmares will be over. But will it?
The Russian mobster Vlad is out again to get her, who raped her and left her half dead, in the first book.
Now he is stealing her identity, through Linda, an actress, who made friend with her father to get to her. Her life once more is in turmoil .
Will she survive it? Will her boyfriend, Michael?
Extraordinary read. Page turner. Highly commended. Fine writing.

This is book 4 in this series and every bit as good as the first three. I didn't want to put it down. So suspenseful! Russian mafia. Insurance fraud. Identity theft. Mystery woman. Faking a coma? Virtual reality. Danger. Death. Some romance. All in the middle of a pandemic! Uvi is such a gifted story teller! Don’t miss out on this series.
Narrated by Heather Jane Hogan. She is the voice of Ash! Calm. Cool. And collected. All in the face of harm, peril or worse. Well performed.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Another great thriller by one of my go-to authors.
Ash thought the danger was over with the mad Russian Vlad safely in a coma in the hospital ... but she was wrong. Now someone's torched her boyfriend's car, stolen her identity and emptied her bank account ... and things just keep getting weirder and more dangerous.
There's never a dull moment in this one ... and that's just the way I like it.

Ash has shot a Russian mob guy and he is now in a coma. A gripping espionage thriller, well written with a good flowing plot to the end. The audio narration added to the tension of the story, well done and enjoyed. Given audio for my voluntary review
