After all, Kingston is one of the senior members of the United Coven and Alliance and Arienne is one of the few people who knows about his secret resistance activities with the Crux Crucio Orbis. When she learns her own Grandfather is involved in the C.C.O., Arienne’s more than a little angry that her family has been keeping secrets. Secrets about their involvement in the magical world. Secrets about Arienne’s legacy. Keeping secrets means creating lies and Arienne is determined to unravel the deception even if it means collapsing the foundation of her new life.
Caught between the clandestine world of the C.C.O., the dangers of the Alliance, and the treachery of a new magical organization Arienne must trace the grain of truth in the legends passed down from the ancient Celts, through the Roman Empire, and right into King Arthur’s court. Legends that were created to protect the truth and keep the relic from passing into the wrong hands.
The confines of loyalty and duty make it an even more complicated quest. She might be the only one who can balance the power without collapsing the foundations that hold magic in check but to accomplish that, she’ll have to face the truth about herself, her family, and her place a world she was never really part of.

Wonderful story
The mixture of archaeology, druid and magic create a fantastic story.
The author weaves a magical tale that is hard to put down. I love the history added along with the story. I feel like I was taken on a wonderful journey where I saw magical beings, magic and the past.

Who will win the race?
Absolutely wonderful. Archeology, magic, the Arthurian Legend, Fae, secret societies are all in this terrific fast paced read. Her suspicious nature is aroused when her two greatest enemies are portrayed to be searching for something at a dig in England. What are they searching for and who will gain the ultimate prize. Fast paced, great characters and an understanding of the Arthurian Legend are all in this fantastic read. More please.

Extraordinary!
I highly recommend this fantastic book, and the series in which it is, to readers of all ages who love imaginative books. She's weaves mythology, history (fictional), magic, and intrigue create enthralling adventures for the mind. If you read the author's note at the end, you will find links to the true history used artistically in this series. As the saying goes, "inquiring minds..."
I want to thank the authors (Shea, and others) who give us such fascinating books, and subject to look into, especially during these difficult times. May God continue to bless you with futile imaginations, and the skill to form them into books for our enjoyment.

My favorite in the series ...so far
I have been binge reading this delightful series and have loved the three I've read so far, but this one has been my favorite. It has it all..magic, mythic creatures, adventure, humor and a wee bit of romance. What's not to love?
This series is the perfect antidote to the doom and gloom of current events.

The Magic Continues
R. Leonia Shea scores another win. Her red haired archeologist, Druid and earth witch lead the reader on enthralling romp through the English countryside in search of a legendary relic from the past. There are a few auto correct errors but they barely affect the narrative.

Legendary Magic
I really liked this story. I’m enjoying the characters in the series plus have the added pleasure of King Arthur and Excalibur. Was wondering where the story was going a bit but it all came together very well. Recommended.

enjoyable but convoluted
In an effort to obscure the ending, the author jumped through hoops to make things secret leaving the reader in the dark. It was not as good as the previous two books. But it was still enjoyable

Wow!!
What a detailed novel! This was crazy. I loved how the author interwove history and fiction to create a fantastical story helped along by a Pooka.
