Proof read much?

Cute story and pretty much kept my interest but kind of predictable, The miss spellings, wrong words inserted that didn't make sense (probably due to spell check) wrong punctuation, and a little redundant or overkill on thought and explanations. Took away from the story. I've read better.

Are we sure this isn't written by AI???
The spelling, grammar, and verbiage in this book are so very bad. I'm only halfway through the book and I've never encountered such awful, glaring mistakes that completely disrupt the flow. My goodness somebody PLEASE edit this book.

Cute story though...

A wintry Second Chance Romance to warm your heart! ❄️❤️

Highschool sweethearts Sarah and Griffin have a past—seven years ago, Griffin broke Sarah’s heart by leaving their small town, and now that he’s back in Wildwood Falls, they realize there’s still a sizzle & spark of love between them. Add to the mix that they’re trapped/snowbound in a beautiful cabin, with nowhere to go and no one but each other for company, and it’s the perfect seasoning to this second chance romance from Heather Scarlett.

I loved Griffin’s tough-guy attitude and Sarah’s spunkiness. They complement each other’s personalities really well. And then with the endearing cast of secondary characters—I’m looking at you, Owen—I felt Wildwood Falls come to life for me. The best part? It’s the first book in a series!

If you want a fun, flirty second chance romance to melt your heart, I highly recommend Snowed In for a Second Chance.

Second chance at love

Heather Scarlett has crafted an entertaining and delightful one again. Her characters grab hold of our heartstrings and hold
on for a ride complete with a few intriguing twists and turns. But in the end, despite all the obstacles, along the way. Enjoy!

Wildly inconsistent characterization. From one page to the next “he hadn’t honestly given Sarah much thought over the years ” to “whenever he reminisced about what could have been”. Meanwhile she’s bouncing back and forth between enraged and heart eyes with no rhyme or reason.

I love seeing a couple who life separated find their way back to each other. I also love forced proximity. Excited to see more in the series!

A very generous 3 because it’s the holiday season. It had potential. It was written in third person and like a rough draft. What it desperately needed was editing and proofreading. I can overlook a few things, but this one has multiple glaring issues. I am in no way qualified to be an editor, but there were so many typos and grammatical errors. At one point the heroines brother was referred to as Jack and then again as Tyler on the same page.

The same things being said over and over. The same conversation over and over. Ultimately I didn’t even care if they ended up together or not.

Even a happy ending didn’t make for a happy ending. The side characters made a better story.

Sadly, this is a pass for me.

I feel like this was a rough draft that somehow became published as the final version. Spelling errors, characters changing names, the lot!

This is basically the same conversation repeated for 150 pages. But, the writer uses the unique tactic of changing the responses each time. I felt gaslight by this book.

For example; the MMC says he will stay around for the FMC, but his inner monologue then says he won’t? Then he will, then he won’t.

Also, the cover shows a woman with brown hair, but in the book, the FMC has blonde hair. This is not a deal breaker by any measure, but it’s just another indication of how much attention to detail was applied here, which is to say, none!

I didn't like the main characters...they were both selfish and whiny. It seemed like they kept confirming a commitment, then not acting like anything had been said or done. How many times do we have to go over the same thing? Let's just say that Sarah and Griffin took wishy-washy to Olympic levels.
I love second chance stories. But this one seemed like there wasn't any forward movement. Very disappointing.

The characters where a little to childlike, with their back and forth way and selfish tendencies. The secondary characters where fun and loveable. This was an ok read that does have you smiling at times and other times you want to smack one oth the lead characters. Overall this was a decent read that allows you to sit back and take you mind off your life.

Griffin and Sarah are characters that have a history. When they are snowed in together they start to confront their feelings from the past. Lots of emotional moments before they can get their HEA. Great characters that you can get invested in.

This is the 1st book I've read written by Heather Scarlett; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the characters.

Not enough groveling. And why were they so focused on him leaving after college? What about when he left before? She took him back too easily. DNF'd at 47%

I won a copy of this book, and I should start by saying it isn't my usual genre. I like romance, but the rural/small town America setting is REALLY not my thing.
That doesn't mean it was a bad book - far from it! It is well written and in the third person (unlike so many terrible romances out there), and there are no self-conscious smarmy jokes or little "clever puns" thrown in every second sentence (another common flaw). The story speaks for itself and isn't overwhelmed by the author's voice.
I think the character development and plot were average (nothing surprising for this genre), but the setting was really well done. This would be a great Christmas read, even though it wasn't "Christmas themed" - the snowy cabin and twinkly lights and warm drinks give a very romantic and cozy vibe.

I can't not mention the tiny detail that will eat at me forever: apparently Griffin doesn't want to speak to a stranger in Montreal because his French is rusty, but like 95% of Montrealers speak English, and if he's in the central/historic section of town, they would mostly be English-speaking tourists anyway. His thought makes no sense and now the wrongness of it is going to take up permanent residence in my brain. Alas!

Mixed feelings

I won this book from Goodreads. Sarah and Griffin's story was sweet but also irritating at times. They had been high school sweethearts whom the whole town had thought would get married. Griffin said he'd be back but he never did return. Years later, he finally returns to help out the family business. He arrives at a business trip not expecting to see Sarah. She wasn't too happy to see him either. They have to go up to a cabin to get it ready for some guests. They get snowed in, which turns out to start healing Sarah. They decide to take things slow between them and see where things go. However, when they are apart, Griffin is already planning on leaving while Sarah fixates on the past. Because she can't let go of the past, it drives a wedge between them. After Griffin leaves, that's when he realizes how strong his feelings are for her. Can Sarah let go of the past in order to embrace the future? One of the things I noticed about this book is that the cover model doesn't match the description in the book. She has black hair while in the book Sarah has blonde. Overall it wasn't a bad book to read.

Griffin broke up with Sarah seven years ago because he feared commitment and being tied down to their small town before he could see the world. Sarah is stuck taking care of her brother when her mother took off. I was surprised she would let herself almost lose her business rather than telling her brother that she struggled to pay his student loans. He has a job now and should be helping out with that. Sarah is angry at Griffin for abandoning her and says she only wants serious relationships, but then she's fine with just having fun with him whenever he decides to be in town. But then she's mad that's going to be away for a job. Griffin doesn't want to marry and he pulls back from Sarah repeatedly but then he wants to be around to be in a long term relationship with her. I got a little exasperated with their back and forth antics. I liked Griffin's siblings who are funny and close to Sarah bonding over their love and loss of Griffin's mom.

This Snowed In series has been a lot of fun to read. This book focused on Sarah and Griffin, who were high school sweethearts but circumstances interfered after graduation. It has now been seven years and they have to work together to prepare a cabin for its weekend guests. Griffin was responsible for driving Sarah to the cabin to prepare her gourmet meals for the couple staying there during the weekend. Mother nature had other ideas when they got snowed in and lost their electricity. This made for a cute story in a romantic setting. One of my favorite parts was the epilogue and I really liked how close Sarah was to Griffin's brother and sister, especially since they had lost both of their parents. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

This book will pull you right in and keep you engaged and interested all the way through. Ms. Scarlett does a wonderful job of bringing the characters and story to life with her vivid descriptions and attention to detail. I could see everything in my mind's eye and feel the emotions the characters were experiencing.
Sarah's heart was broken seven years when Griffin broke up with her because he was afraid of commitment. He is back in town now to help with the family business and has to face Sarah and the pain he caused her. This is a sweet story about a second chance at love. Will they take it? A well-written story with great characters that will keep you turning the pages. I definitely recommend!

cute second chance story. Sarah and Griffin were high-school sweethearts then he up and leaves for college, when his mom dies he can't handle it and leaves, claiming it's for a summer but lasts 7 years, they reunite.

Cute story, with so many plot holes, grammar mistakes, storylines that don't make sense, and name changes. it's obviously been worked over many times unsuccessfully before releasing out to the universe without making sure it is cohesive. wanted to Gove one star, but I give props to the author it would have been a great story if she would go through it and work out all the mistakes and get the story straight.

This book was such a sweet story about a second chance for high school sweethearts Griffin and Sarah. Griffin went off to become a travel blogger and Sarah stayed in their hometown. Now Griffin is back to help his siblings with the family business and has to face Sarah and their past. Can they put the past behind them and move forward? Can Griffin give up a life of travel for staying in his hometown? This book is well written with wonderful characters and a beautiful world built within the story.

It was a cute story but there were so many typos and grammatical errors, it was difficult to enjoy. The characters also kept repeating themselves, and at one point the main female character told the main male character something, and then later on she basically flipped and needed a different character to tell her the exact same thing for her to realize something. They had the same conversation way too many times and it was just very inconsistent. This definitely needed more editing. It felt very Hallmark-y which I wanted, but the writing just wasn’t quite up to par with what I usually read.

This is a sweet second chance romance between Sarah and Griffin who were high school sweethearts. Seven years pass and they're working together when they get snowed in together. The author brings strong characters and weaves an emotional story with descriptive and detailed scenes. The story moves quickly and smoothly and is a cute read.

The story about really growing up in love

I think everybody feels a time when they're not sure the future they planned as what they want. And really that's what this book is about. Too young teen teen teen teenagers fall in love and promise forever and then circumstances causing them to separate. Or he left or he stayed. This book is the reconciliation of their friendship and their love. I enjoyed the even though there were some editing flaws within it.

This is part of a group of stories about the Montana town and this family. Years ago they were a couple in high school and suddenly upon graduation he leaves for a gap year and never returns. He became a travel blogger. He comes home to help his families vacations activities business and ends up snowed in with her due to her going with him to a remote cabin to set up providing luxury meals there. Predictably, they resolve their problems. Nice read as to how they do that.

I enjoyed ready this during an unprecedented snowfall in south Louisiana. It was an easy, lighthearted fun read. I liked the small town vibe and the luxury cabin. Despite being light there were some deep issues that both Griffin and Sarah faced in their lives. I appreciated that they told each other the truth most of the time. It could have been deeper, but I appreciated it for a small town Hallmark type of romance perfect to read during a snow day!

This is a second chance romance. Griffin has to return home and seek out the one person he does not want to see to save his family business. Can things that happened 10 years ago be forgiven when I get snowed in a cabin alone
