THE #1 AMAZON BESTSELLING SERIES • Vampire private eye Samantha Moon is back and on the hunt for the Elder Gods in this electrifying paranormal mystery.

Wealthy, reclusive families seldom hire private investigators for ordinary jobs.

So when a woman from such a family asks Samantha Moon to locate her missing brother, the vampire detective suspects all is not quite as it seems. Indeed, it doesn't take her long to discover her suspicions prove valid, though she's not prepared for exactly how deep the rabbit hole goes: straight into the depths of madness.

The trail to the missing brother leads her to bizarre people wielding ancient, unspeakable powers. The very fabric of reality strains to hold back the evil they attempt to unleash on the unsuspecting residents of Anaheim Hills, California.

If Sam doesn't walk away from this case, she might just lose her sanity... but if she does, the world could be doomed.

What's behind the sibling's disappearance? What are the Elder Gods? Find out in J.R. Rain's latest "Vampire for Hire" supernatural mystery!

Entertaining vampire listening 🎶🔰

Another will written fantasy world 🌎 paranormal vampire family and friends relationships adventure thriller novel by J. R. Rain ☔ and Matthew S. Cox (Vampire for Hire Series book 22). She keeps running into demons until it all ends in the family mansion basement. Paxton the young girl 👧 is adopted by the Moon 🌙 family with Kingsley handling the paper work. Love sam moon

Samantha moon is back and thrilled to have a new daughter. Paxton fits in so naturally its hard to forget she wasn't always there. Sam is fighting old gods now. This one is fishy and can mess with her mind. This was another great story I can't wait for the next one!

Samantha is coming to terms with Antony going to school. She knows it will be like this for all her children. Samantha is trying to help Paxton deal with her feelings. Samantha is hired to find by a woman to find her missing brother. Samantha gets the weirdest feeling from the house. Things get even weirder for Samantha dealing with the family members.
Samantha finds information that points he is somehow involved in the other missing people. Samantha tracks Ethan to another location. She finds out this is bigger than she thought it was. The more Samantha digs the more information she uncovers. Samantha realizes just how dangerous this is and will not invite anyone to help her.

This was a great read as usually. These authors will have you on a rollercoaster ride with the supernatural bad guy. Samantha thinking about her family and all the other things that she will have to face. Really enjoy the relationship that is building with Samantha, her kids and Paxton. I can't wait for the next book.

Anthony leaves for Angel boarding school and Sam is having a parental melt-down. A silly missing ‘baby’ temporarily takes her mind off it. Before she can think about family again, she gets involved in a strange missing person case involving a bizarre, reclusive, wealthy family and an unusual statue with a side trail of

Footnote: 1) Just my opinion and I’m not prejudice. I have no problems with consenting adults doing as they feel as long it doesn’t hurt somebody else. But the whole Paxton/Renee thing is silly. 13 is barely old enough to realize boys don’t have cooties. And holding hands, hugging, giggling, etc. is stuff that BBF’s have been doing for decades. When I was that age, I felt close to my girlfriends and love my GFs now. Doesn’t mean I’m a les, just that I care for them a lot. Stop confusing kids and let them be kids until they’re mature and experienced enough to know ‘on their own’ what they’re doing and feeling.

Fave scenes: Tammy’s demon attack method, Sam’s ‘fight’ at the police station and the fight in the meat warehouse.

The whole series is fantastic!!

5 STARS!! I read the whole series and loved each one.
I'm one of those readers that can't help but think ahead and sometimes that will ruins it. Not so with this series. Much to my delight there were so many twist and turns it was truly hard to put down.
This author has a wonderful way of giving life to each and every character, even the truly evil. Going so far as to breaking down into great detail every little sight, sound, feel, smell, thought, emotion and so on that each character experiences until you experience it too! And experience you will!
If paranormal is your thing, this one has it all. Vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, angels, dragons and more. All wrapped into a bad ass single mom who is a vampire, sword weilding honorary angle of death, private detective with a witchy dash, you don't want to miss this series!
Absolutely loved them all 🖤

Good main story, but the editing was terrible

The main story was good but the editing before and after were terrible. I can't believe I'm giving a Samantha Moon book only 3 stars but the authors have done a huge disservice to their fans. First, at these beginning, there's a scene with 3 women. Feminine pronouns are used in statements with nothing to guide the user on who is being referred to. Minor, and if that was the only instance, no biggee. Next, "je nais se quois" .... I do not know how that got through the editing. If you're going to use a different language, triple check your usage! The term is "Je ne sais quoi." And finally, at the end, I assume, since we're at Starbucks, it should be Caramel macchiato, not machinates.
Have some respect for your readers...

This book felt different from previous books in the series.
Sam's voice isn't the same, not bad, just didn't really feel like it did in early books in the series.
I'm a little disappointed of the state of the relationship between Sam and Kingsley. At one point they felt like they'd at least move in together, now it seems he's just someone she calls for help.
IDK maybe I thought they would progress instead of fizzle out.
Please move them forward.
The story is unique and fun.
I will continue to read this series all bc I care about it so very much.
As always, thank you for writing and continuing Sam's story.

Moon

These books are awesome. If there were a hundred more I'd read them. Now I'm going to read all the short stories and catch up on the stuff it mentions here and there in the books.

J.R. Rain

Geez, well his writing is always spot on. This story was..... not my favorite. But understand this, J.R. Rain is one of my top three authors. That's huge. I've read at least 90% of his books and this author is, with out a doubt one of my top three.☺

another great story in this series

This series has it all. Supernatural beings of all kinds both good and evil, Teenager angst and a mother’s love. Toss in a murder mystery or two just to keep it moving along at a super quick pace!

I'm not sure what to say after 22 books - another fun Sam adventure, I am a Sam Moon fan, and this is more of what I have come to expect from a Sam Moon book. I'll keep reading :-)

Finally made it to the last "book" in this series. I say "book" because in my opinion, these are more like extended short stories. There are other side stories that the author has written, but I have no desire to read them. Time to move on to a new series.
