Rhyming text and lively illustrations provide a humorous and reassuring introduction to Halloween, a holiday that has more than its share of situations that can prompt anxieties in youngsters. There are some scary creatures out there, as the text states, but they aren't really all that scary if one looks behind the mask or costume. There is a CD with music and lyrics that accompanies the book and encourages readers to sing along and alleviate some of their fears.
