Cooper Prescott... Strong. Hot-tempered. A charming rebel protége in every way. He may be content with keeping his life the same, however, fate is a beast that always has the last say.
Born and raised in Southeast Michigan near Ann Arbor, Elle learned the importance of reading from her mother. It was also her mother who, later on in her life, gave Elle her first romance novel: Indigo by Beverly Jenkins. From that moment on, Elle became a fan of Ms. Jenkins for life and a lover of all things romance. An old journal she wrote back in college became her first book (which she still wants to publish one day).
I loved everything about this story with Cooper, aka “Cutie” and Angela! But, let’s not leave out young Mekhi, aka “Lil Man!” It was that special love of a grandfather and a loving Aunt that brings them all together! This is a great book and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I highly recommend this book! I’m off to read about Dominic next! If you haven’t grabbed your copy yet, what are you waiting on!! Kudos, Elle Wright!! 💜💃🏽💜
I enjoyed this story a great deal. Cooper with his preconceived ideas about just handling part of his deceased grandfather’s wishes was soon changed once he encountered Angel and her darling son. Such a beautiful slow and study love story. I really feel like Mahkia stole the show, I know he stole my heart.
I did have a few unanswered questions and I may have to reread the story to make sure I didn’t miss it.. Cooper’s Father gave him an envelope that was addressed to him from his grandfather Aside from the one he and his siblings received during the reading of the Will. There was never any mention of what was inside the envelope. 🤔. I also wondered if Cooper and Angel ever had the opportunity to talk to mama Lil about Mrs.Fox. It seems Angels letter from her Aunt alluded to the fact that she and grandfather Prescott were in love when they were younger and never married HoweverCooper never seemed to get clarity on why I was important to have the house renovated 🤔
Again I will reread the story the answers my be there and I just overlooked them.
Finding Cooper is book one of the much anticipated Once upon a Funeral anthology. Cooper Prescott gets to work on the special project his Granddad gave him; restore the home owned by Louise Fox. Angel Crawford is also carrying out last wishes. Her Aunt Lou recently passed and left instructions about her house. When she meets Cooper, she refers to him as “cutie Prescott”. There is an instant attraction. Angel’s son Mekhi and Cooper connect over their love of spiders. It’s cute how Cooper is able to flirt with Angel while engaging her son Mekhi (who’s totally oblivious) at the same time. “Mommie cooks?” That was hilarious.
The more Angel and Cooper work together, the more Angel feels a surprise connection to him. Cooper realizes he just hadn’t met the right person. Finding Cooper is a sweet romance and a great way to kick off this latest anthology. We also learn enough about the Prescott brothers to peak our interest in the remaining books. Angel and Cooper rediscover themselves and find each other. See the complete review at romanceincolor.com
I couldn't put the book down. I loved Cooper and Angel's story. After Cooper's grandfather died, he asks two things of Cooper: to come home home and join the family company and to restore the house of someone his grandfather once loved. Restoring the house was all Cooper planned to do. In doing so, he met Angel and her son. That led him to finding love and come to terms with a past love, mending fences with his father and moving home fulfilling his grandfather's wish.
I must say enjoyed the opener third Rosewood Heights series! Elle Wright came to play with this one. She definitely set the stage for the next three books in the OUAF series and it looks like she also left a couple breadcrumbs about Dallas & Preston and of that’s the case I’m definitely here for it! Good job Elle Wright! Fingers cross my Tierra get herself a lil story too!
Following the request of his grandfather Cooper discovers the man his grandfather knew he was. Angel widowed single mother finds the meaning of living. Elle layered this story to keep readers on edge. Enjoyed the reconnection with the brothers. The out spoken direct Mekhi was my favourite character. On to book two in Once Upon A Funeral.
This was a great book! I really enjoyed Angel and Cooper and, of course, Mekhi. I wondered about his friendship with Dallas at first, but clearly they are just friends, and I hope her and Preston get their own story. I also really enjoyed the brothers dynamic. I can't wait to read the rest of the books to see what each does. But this was a fun story and a great introduction to this series!
I really enjoyed this story! Cooper came home because his grandfather needed to see him before he passed away! Meeting Angel and Mekhi changed his life! They were so right for one another! I loved how he instantly attached to Mekhi and how he realized he needed to move back home to be whole. Just a great read! Looking forward to reading about the other Prescotts!
For Cooper (cute) Prescott coming home for his granddad's funeral was the change he never knew he needed. But grand dad knew he need the closeness and familiarity of his family. With his wish Cooper found the love that was waiting for home. He reconciled his relationship with his dad and is moving to his happy ever after. This is my first book by this author and I can say it will not be my last. Looking forward to Coop's sibling stories.
I enjoyed this story and I do look forward to about the other brothers. Finding Cooper is the first book to begin the series. Cooper's grandfather who was the patriarch of the family had a task for each of the brothers. Cooper's task did not included for him to meet Angel, however it was the cutest story to read. Angel's son Mekhi was a good addition to this story and his meeting Cooper was adorable. Look forward to reading the next book in this series.
This was a nice and enjoyable read. This is the story of Four Brothers the Prescott Brothers. Cooper has moved away from the families small town and started his own business. Cooper having to return home after a death in the family finds herself staying and finding love. I enjoy reading this book.
Cooper has made a life for himself in another city away from his family and the family business. Following the death of his grandfather, he returns home to find out that it was his grandfather's wish for him to come home permanently, work in the family's business and restore the home of Louise Fox. When he goes to see about the house, he finds Ms. Fox's great-niece, Angel, instead. Angel, who is in town to see about her great-aunt's estate, agrees to let Cooper restore the house. As he begins to work on the home, Angel and "Cutie" Prescott grow closer. They both endure battling their pasts to build a loving relationship. I loved this couple as well as Angel's son Mehki in this beautifully written book.
My favorite type of romance!! It was my first book on the kindle paperwhite and I loved it. It was a quick read, high on vibes and low on self sabotaging behavior. I'm a fan of flirting and nice and not all that "let's pretend we don't like each other" foolishness. Cooper and Mehki's relationship absolutely caused me a shed a tear. I can't wait to see what the rest of the series is like.
Omg this story was everything I angel and coop had strong chemistry between them. And their baby boy stole the show he was adorable 😍. I'm so loving this series ❤️❤️ one of my favorite ❤️
Sadness brought Cooper home ,the last place he wanted to be. A last wish from his deceased grandfather kept him there and ked him Angel and Mekhi the two people he never knew he needed.I loved these three Mekhib was such a sweetheart.
Cooper Prescott restored more than an old house when he fulfilled his Grandfather's last wish. It's been awhile since I've read an Elle Wright book, but this book reminded me why I enjoyed her writing. Good read.
Once Upon A Funeral is proving to be another heartwarming series. I love reading stories that reflect a hero/heroine receiving what they didn't know they wanted when they weren't even expecting to receive such a gift. Cooper and Angel 💖🎁
What a fantastic way to start off a series!! Cooper, Angel, and Mekhi stole my heart!! A beautifully written romance with some great LOL moments!! Definitely a must read. How i just read book 2!!
This series already with Cooper busting on the scene and going for the gold...Angel. Neither of them expected it. Life sure can change you when love is involved.
Looking forward to reading the other brothers! They were a funny bunch in this first installment.
Its so nice to leave reality for a little while and enjoy a fantasy! Cooper was just the right medicine for Angel ans Mekhi! I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Cooper’s lost although, tragic changed his life. Cooper and Angel met by chance. Their attraction was immediate, and their love story was sweet.
Cooper and Angel’s story was heartfelt and enjoyable. The pace was realistic since Angel had to consider her son. The relationships with their family and friends were hilarious at times. A great story to start the series.
