Captain Leopold David doesn't want to admit he's brokenhearted. Several years after his girlfriend left town with another man to pursue a life in the big city. Being single at Harbor, Leo loves to be the center of attention – a typical playboy whom women can share a fun-night.
Dr. Riley Parker is escaping her past. One place after another, she doesn't seem to break free from the silent torture of her ex-boyfriend's memories until a friend from medical school brings her to the small town of Harbor.
Leo is breaking women's hearts, and Riley is moving away from Chad. Somehow the sexy firefighter and the mysterious doctor will meet and start their love affair.
Who knows where it all might lead?
Note to Reader: This sexy and intriguing prequel is perfect for the fans of Lucy Score.
Ava Greene grew up in Hollywood where she performed in numerous tv shows, commercials and variety acts before retiring to work behind the scenes. Pandora's Box is her first novel.
This is the story of Leopold David who was the star athlete in Harbor. He was in love with Angela Daily the Mayor's daughter. She had reddish brown hair and green eyes, but she was not in love enough with David to stay and build her life with him. Leo became an heroic firefighter and was now a Drill Sergeant teaching other young recruits. Leo came from a wealthy family but he had decided that he wouldn't love again after Angela left him. Then their is Riley and Chad. They live in California where he was a star athlete but a knee injury ended his career. Riley is a medical student. After Chad's career ended he became abusive toward Riley. Riley thought that Chad was somewhere getting drunk with his friends but he was somewhere getting high and when he came home he took his unhappiness out on Riley by abusing her for the slightest thing. Chad abused her one time to many and she told her brother Ray who came and beat him up so she had to leave California because even after being beat up by Ray, Chad came in, snuck in through the window of their house and held a knife to her neck and took what he want from her sexually, that is when she knew she had to get out of California. Riley's therapist told her to move out of the house her and Chad had, but it didn't help. Dr. Yvonne her therapist even took her clubbing but she still had nightmares about her abuse. But Riley happened to see a news story about a firefighter who had saved people in Harbor and because she had survived a fire when she was young she felt the tug to go to Harbor, PA. So that is where Riley went to find a place for herself and to get away from the nightmares of the abuse she had suffered at the hands of Chad. Ava brings us just a taste of what is in store for Riley and Leo and she sets the stage by giving us plenty of history of the main characters. I can’t wait to dive into the next book. I can't wait to read this new series that Ava Green is writing. I have pre-ordered the first two books in the series because they have not been released yet, but I believe its going to be exciting.
🤕🤕ONE DAZZLING ADVENTURE🤕🤕 Simmering saddles sue! Remarkable job Ava, thanks for sharing this awesome little gem with us.
Harbor (Prequel) is the "introduction" to the new Harbor Series by Ava Greene. To be truthful I did not find it an introduction to much as I am more confused than ever about exactly who these people are and what they are doing. Each chapter bounces around between characters, places, ideas, feelings, time and more. Then add on the issues with proofreading, heck the first sentence does not make sense, and you get the idea. I did finish it, only because it is a short read as otherwise and I wanted to see if the characters made contact or not and how. Sorry but this one was not for me which is disappointing as I have read other series by Ava Greene and liked them. I just hope that the first book is better.
I won't recount the story details as there are plenty of reviews with them. This is the first story I'm reading by this author, and it will be the last. Her propensity for domestic violence, abuse, betrayal and revenge is more than I want to read about when I'm reading for pleasure.
The beginning of the book is a scatter of relationships left dangling at the end of each chapter. Later they start to come together in a character, Leo, who is aloof and vengeful, stating "I'll make all girls pay for what she (Angela) did." She broke up with him. The plot only gets worse after. There are many proofreading typos and sentences whose structure make them unreadable. Too many for such a short story, which needs a good editor.
This is a prequel to the Harbor series by Ava Green. This is an exciting prequel about a small town and sets the story with a hero firefighter, who had his heart broken, and a battered and abused doctor trying to put her life back together. Will the attractive doctor finally get her life back together after the trauma she has been through? Will there be a hookup between the doctor and the bitter firefighter who only does one night stands? I can’t wait for these questions to be answered in the first book of this series.

If you like small town love stories you'll enjoy this book. It's a quick read as it's the prequel to the Harbor Series. This is Riley and Leo's story and it's a sweet one. They both are recovering from broken hearts and not in the mood for love. Fate brings this gorgeous fire captain and this sexy doctor together and they begin to make small town magic. A great start to the series. I read a free book via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Harbor prequel gives the introduction to the main characters Leopold and Riley. Leopold hides behind a playboy persona after his girlfriend leaves town with another headed to the city. Riley on the other hand has come to Harbor away from the city to get away from an abusive boyfriend. They meet in the hospital and learn that they are neighbors. It will start their journey with twists and turns that will bring them closer together.
Building A New Life - This prequel sets the scene for the exciting and thrilling stories that the truly amazing series is surely going to give us. Just imagine a hot, hero firefighter with a man-whore attitude and a gorgeous doctor, trying to put her life back together. What could go right or wrong?

This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great drama and romance with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Loved this prequel it introduces hus to the characters and gives us some of their background stories. I think this is going to be a series filled with strong emotions, lots of romance and heat...and I can't wait to get the next books.

I liked Dr Riley but did not like Leo at all, what an ass! Seems like all the men in this novel is just plain "nasty" with a capital (N). Not sure if there is a plot for this short novel, other than men using and abusing women. But as its a prequel at whats to come...i will let it slide for now. Maybe they will all be nice in the series to come.. (hope so).
The author has given us the back story for two characters of a new serial. The characters have issues they need to overcome. Cannot wait for the next installment.

This is the prequel to a new series, it's well-written and quickly to read, both Riley and Leo are wonderful characters, both have had heartbreaking experiences in love and now their paths have crossed.
This short prequel to the upcoming Harbour series tells the story of two people destined to meet. Both have been hurt, both are still realing and dealing but they do it in completely different ways.

I usually love Ava Greene’s books, but this prequel kind of fumbles. I’m hoping the series comes together, because I love the heat she brings. I don’t feel connected to any of these characters. I’ll see what happens as the series progresses. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book starts you off right for the new series. I can't wait for the characters to meet in the next book. Thank you Ava for starting us out wanting more. Please read and review your books.
Riley gets a new job in Harbor away from the big city, somewhere, where’s its cozy and friendly. I voluntarily reviewed a free advance reader copy of this book and gave my honest opinion.
Interesting start to a new series. Leo seems very full of himself and Riley is semi-shy and unsure around men. Let's hope things work out for these two. Only the series will tell.
