Your favorite trio return for one last shot at winning it all in the game of love ...

Alexis and Sera are finally on the other side of issues that would have broken a weaker relationship. Yet their bond has remained strong and their love for each other has seen them through it all. Now that they are settled, they want to take the next step: parenthood. Alexis thinks they’ve been through it all but this one might be the hardest yet.

Stevie has come to understand who she is and what she can offer in a relationship as well as what she needs in return. Now she just has to convince Chloe that she's changed. When another woman enters the picture, she discovers what might be the missing link to making it all work.

As the end of her European tour fast approaches, Victoria is ready to hit the ground running. Seemingly overnight she’s become one of the most in demand photographers in the entertainment industry. Despite her success, she just wants to fill the void in her heart left by the one who got away, Savannah. Not ready to give up , she makes a last ditch effort to save what has the potential to be the greatest love she’s ever known.

See, one reason why it's good to be a reader is because you can live other people's lives temporarily, and sometimes those people live in a world where anyone capable of getting pregnant didn't just get their bodily autonomy smashed to smithereens by six patriarchal assholes.

Ahem.

This was definitely my favorite in the series. I felt like the characters all acted more maturely and I really liked seeing how they worked through various issues in their relationships with communication and understanding. I especially liked Alexis and Sera's portions of the story and really appreciated what the author did with it. Stevie too has shown a lot of character growth over the trilogy. The friendships among all of the women all feel very genuine and realistic, too.

There were a few moments where the dialogue felt a little too pointed, and I found Victoria's storyline in this one a little less engaging. But mostly I really enjoyed this one and think it's worth getting to even if you didn't love the first two books in the series.

Now I'm going to go scream into the void a little more.

This time, there were fewer errors, but they were still distracting enough to make me reread certain parts to understand them. Additionally, I felt that there were too many couples crammed into the story, which left some relationships underdeveloped.

On the positive side, Sera remains my favorite character! It was beautiful to see her and Alexis work through childhood trauma and still choose each other daily. Victoria and Savannah were also captivating—I just wish they had been described more fully. Nevertheless, their love-at-first-sight connection was incredibly satisfying.

Stevie and Chloe were another highlight, and Gabrielle was a delightful bonus. I thoroughly enjoyed Stevie’s growth and how Chloe was evolving alongside her. Overall, the story was messy in some parts, but it was full of relationships that I wanted to explore further.

I enjoyed this last book in the series. It takes guts to write a character a reader would love to hate. I share this because Alexis kept getting on my last nerve as a stud with glaring personal issues she failed to see until she stuck her foot in her self-centered self-serving mouth; and judgmental no less. But it was enjoyable to read all of this through the eyes of Black women who love women unconditionally. Victoria, Stevie and Alexis had life growing experiences over the three books and this one brought it all together. Well written, enjoyable and thought provoking.

I love it

I was so excited this final installment was released and it did not disappoint. I was most excited about Savannah and Victoria. After her painful breakup with Jasmine she was still able to find happiness. Its proof positive that one persons afterthought is another person's everything. On a not so positive note, Sera was annoying and I did not care for Chole. I think I would rather Stevie say with Asia.

Get the series. Share with a friend

There is so much good in this story. You tackled a lot and made it refreshing although in line with one's daily life. I would suggest taking another look through the series for edits. Names are out of place accidentally, certain phrases and sentences format offer confusion where otherwise your characters and story are quite clear. Love this story, would most definitely recommend this series to my friends.

I loved the author's character creation for this series. This author was new to me and after reading book one, I knew I would have to read the rest in the series. And here we are at the the last installment I enjoyed the book immensely. The flow was good and the character situations, felt like ones you would find in everyday life. Ava Freeman is now one of my faves.

Rather let down

Again led to believe something crazy was going to happen but it just kept expanding on things that already happened . I think if a book number 4 is in the works this talented author should shake things up a bit . The books are becoming predictable now after the disappointing outcome from the second one. I have hope though for this series.

Great way to end the series!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. It showed how so many people live with childhood trauma that spills into our adult. It was nice to see they all embraced being happy with themselves after working hard to make positive change.
