Being a rock star has privileges but Axl wants the make up artist Sophie. Everyday Axl sees her he tries very hard to get her to open up and talk but she is cold and distant.
When Sophie was hired she was told to stay away from everyone and don't engage in anything pretty much keep to herself. That is until one day when Axl asks Sophie out to dinner. First she agrees then the band manager reminds her she can't. As Sophie is in her room, Axl knocks on her door till she answers. Sophie opens the door allows him in. They start talking and everything comes out in the open. How Axl feels about her and how she feels and why she's been closed off and quiet. Axl wants Sophie more then anything and he lets everyone know mainly Sophie. Everyday is better then the next but it will only get better when their tour is over and they can plan their future.

Plot: Sophie is the makeup artist for Axl's band. He's been trying to get her to pay attention to him for the whole tour, but she promised the tour manager that she would bring no drama (especially since her mother is known for drama). She's completely frozen out Axl and he doesn't know what to make of it. Once he gest her to crack, though, it's all over - neither of them can resist.

Commentary: Poor girl - I never thought about the children of those wild rockstars/groupies in terms of how their professional lives would be impacted (mostly because they seem to gravitate towards similar lifestyles - celebrity designers, musicians, actors, models, etc.). It must be tough having people reject you because they don't want to deal with your mother. Thank goodness Axl wasn't like that; even the manager came around in the end!

Axl and his band are on tour, about three months into it. Sophie is their makeup artist and travels with the band. Because of her family, in her contract they state she must keep quiet and keep away from the band except when they are in the makeup chair. They have nicknamed her the Iron Maiden. Axl finally gets her to break into a smile and from there the romance skyrockets. Stress hits hard, thinking she will lose her job or her mother will cause problems. The tour manager notices how much more he smiles and works with Sophie through the tour, at a much easier level. Loved the story and how the two come together. A sweet romance that has potential for a long future. Loved the banter and family vibe of the group. Quick enough story to change your mood if you are having a bad day.

Sophie has a dream of owning her own beauty shop, but before it can become a reality she needs to makes so money. When the job came available to do make up for Flaming Fixation she could not turn it down, even with the stipulations. Axl is the lead singer of the Flaming Fixations, he could have any woman, but the one that has caught his eye wants noting to do with him.

This was a interesting story with a bit of drama due to who Sophie's parent are, but the connection between Sophie and Axl is sweet and makes you laugh. It ending quickly but definitely a great story.

Eve London wrote an amazing quick and steamy romance between a rock star and his makeup artist. Axl is used to fans screaming his name, chasing him down and doing pretty much anything to get his attention. But the one woman he wants acts as though she hates him. Sophie definitely does not hate Axl but she promised to stay away from the band members. Thankfully, Axl is not one to give up and he is determined to win Sophie over. Will Sophie finally open up and admit her true feelings? 5 stars. Hoping the other bandmates get their stories!

This is a quick read about Axl part of the Flaming Fixation rock band and Sophie the bands makeup artist. Sophie has given the whole band basically the cold shoulder for months and has kept to her contract agreement in keeping quiet and away from the band based in part because of her parents, until one day that Axl finally breaks through and gets her to talk. They start hanging out but will she get in trouble?   Can anything become of this? You're kind of left wondering how everything will turn out.    It's a fun read.

Fun, sexy short read of Sophie and Axl finding more with each other than just another rocker groupie. I liked the nickname the group gave Sophie, they all tried, but she held up her end of the contract that was requested of her. It was great that Axl was truly taken with her, as the plans he has in process for the end of the tour are revealed to the readers.

Sweet and steamy romance between a lead singer and the makeup artist. Iron Maiden Sophie is the makeup artist for a rock band but keeps to herself because of her past. Axl is the lead singer and wants to convince Sophie to loosen up and give him a chance. I loved Sophie and Axl, they are wonderful characters. This was a short and steamy book and I recommend reading it.

Axl is a Rockstar with the Flaming Fixations and Sophie is their make up artist. She had been trying to keep on the down low and away from everyone until Axl takes a liking to her.
This is a sweet, intimate story that had an underlying tension behind it, due to some issues Sophie has. There are some steamy times and I like the laid back attitude Axle has towards most things especially Sophie. This was a very good book.

I liked seeing the relationship between Sophie and Axl and how he kept working at getting her to talk to him. Knowing her background explained a lot and it was sweet once they do finally come together. I was left wanting more however as I feel their ending wasn't really their ending. An epilogue or view into their future would have been amazing.

An enjoyable book one in the She Rocks My Heart series! The story line is well-developed, emotionally deep, witty, funny, engaging, well written, and steamy. Likeable characters; the chemistry between them hot! Definitely recommended!

I've read several books written by Eve London; she has done a great job at writing a good short story; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Quick read. Axl is a rock star. Sophie is a makeup artist. His band is on tour and she’s been hired to do their makeup. Per contract, she can’t mingle with the band but Axl is trying to break down her walls. What will happen when it’s finally down? Hot.

Disappointing

I really thought this book had great potential but it just fell flat. It never fleshed out any of the issues that were problems but rather it just kind of magically went away and then boom the book was over. No rising action, no fulfillment. Sorry, I hate giving unfavorable reviews.

Enjoyable love story :)

Not much for rock band stories but I love Eve's stories. I really enjoyed this book. It was fun seeing how the guys tried breaking Sophie down so she would talk to them. All was the one to break through her wall. Her family history and contract caused her to keep a professional stance.Read the book to see how it goes. It's good. :)

I liked the characters, the chemistry, connections and the situation. I did have a few questions at the end and hope they'll be answered somewhere along the line. A good start to a new series.

Rocker thaws his make-up artist

Sophie has been told not to make friends with the band...it's in he contract. Ask takes it as a challenge to get the Iron Maiden to talk to him. He's adorably sexy in the antics he used to thaw Sophie.

Ending too abrupt

Entertaining new series.Axl is the lead singer for the band Flaming Fixation. Sophie has just been hire on as the make-up artist for their tour. Even though Sophie comes across as cold there’s something about her that attracts Axl to her. Sophie is really kind and loving and when Axl convinces her to tell him what’s wrong, Sophie decides to take a chance.

A promise made to the manger leads Sophie to be nicknamed The Iron Maiden untill Axl decides one last time to melt her iron demeanor with flaming results! Loved it! Make-up artist and the rock star

Short, and sweet, but a lot of details were missing. I mean, of course, it's a really short story, but it just seemed unrealistic that it took Axl three months to break through Sophie's shell. I think this could easily have been fleshed out into a full length novel and been really great. Still enjoyable.
