Some quibbles here and there, but a lot of great observations.

Just finished. So much to think about. As a commentary, I think it's pretty thorough. The bibliography lists at the start of each chapter said to me that this author of this commentary had acknowledged and addressed another's work within the chapter. That meant he didn't read just the ones with which he agreed. And, he says why he didn't agree with a particular opinion. Some of those comments caused me to stop and think about what was said as much if not more than the agreements.
This is book that a layman can read and gain knowledge from, but it is also one for those who have a more in depth background to draw from.
So, yes for those interested it would be worth your time.

To be blunt, I think this commentary is a little bit lazy. It feels like they give you little more than what you'd find in a study Bible as it covers John. Doesn't even treat every verse in the gospel. I've found it to generally not be helpful in my study when compared to other commentaries.
