The legacy of Hillcrest started with a noose…and it will end with one.
My second semester at Hillcrest is set to be much quieter than my first. I have my boyfriends and classes to focus on. No more mysteries, no more stalkers, and no more murders.
Or, at least I thought so.
Someone turns up dead, and I know the police are wrong. It isn’t Ray. A new monster has decided to come out and play, and he wants me. They always want me. I’m a magnet to the psychos and the killers. This semester will be no different than my last.
The truth cuts like a knife. No amount of preparation can ready me for it.
Someone in my bed is a killer, a liar, and once I know his truth, things will never be the same.
**Liar is the final book in the Hillcrest saga. It is a darker romance, meaning there are topics that might offend you, including violence, stalking, mentions of suicide, and more. There are some RH elements as well. Be warned.**
Hey guys! I'm a writer, an office worker, a wife, a mother to two dogs and two cats, and half of a strange pair of young adults who flip the houses they're living in with the goal of having no mortgage (so that I can eventually focus on my writing career!). Needless to say, I'm busy.
Still, I somehow find time to write, to read, and to enjoy life. Wish there were more hours in the day, really!
If you're active on Goodreads and have similar interests, friend me. I don't bite. Or if you'd rather follow my reviews, you can do that, too.
So this was the final installment for the book. The only reason I read all 6 was the plot. I wish I could say the main character was meh but that would be giving her too much credit. There wasn't enough character development throughout the books. In fact, I truly cannot tell you why Ash was with the men she chose. The impression conveyed was that she chose Declan because he reminded of a wet lost puppy that needed saving? Even so, She was often dismissive and neglectful of him. She would run from him to Sawyer often, rolled her eyes at the fact that he was respectful, oh! and when she found out that Dean had been involved with Sabrina, She did not have the decency to comfort him but was okay with Travis doing it because Ash must be made happy. wtf? And the grand daddy of them all? When Declan finds out about Will, she has the audacity to ask him why he left the hospital? like lady, you possibly killed his people and that is what you care about? That he is not with your precious Sawyer? Travis, she liked because he was a bad boy? Who the hell knows what she liked about Will or Sawyer. The author just didn't take the time to establish these relationships. That in turn meant that they often seemed forced and awkward . MC exhibited this selfish and thoughtless trait throughout out the book with every character but Sawyer. Him she desperately chased throughout the series. The books were about her expecting everyone to bend over backwards to accept her whims and needs. Wanna sleep with a serial killer? ok. Watch Rebecca die and not help? ok. But Hey, she is somehow morally superior to Travis. Will pulls away and Declan worries? She stays to hangout with Sawyer because..... Sawyer. Can't be too worried about supposed boyfriend not when we need to get Sawyer back. Ash was hard to like and unfortunately she made the story meh. The boys were easy to like. Especially Declan. Throughout the whole series I wanted to give him a pep talk and tell him he deserved better. So did Travis tbh. Those boys bent over backwards to make her happy and she not once in the whole series demonstrated any thing close to what she asked of them. She never once acknowledged to them that sharing might be hard or that she was aware of the sacrifices they had to make. That honor was left to the reader. Apparently we got to know how great her guys were better than she did because she was too busy chasing Sawyer. She even had the audacity to have moral contempt for Will after she watched someone die that she may have helped, stabbed Will without caring how that affected Declan, and continued to keep a secret from Declan while confronting him about his self harm. Like ugh. And talking of Will, how did she go from I love you to die mofo in a chapter? She was soo fucking self involved. Tbh, I don't know why everyone is raving about this series. I have read several in this genre and have meet soo many MC's that are cool and caring as sh%t that it is hard to believe the author could not have developed her character better in 6 whole books. I almost want to put myself through another book just so the MC can redeem herself. 2 ⭐️ for the plot line 1 ⭐️ for the MC. (she is that horrible)
Ok first did you know Declan was lean and not overly-muscled? What?!? Shocker right. It’s only mentioned 1,000 times in each book. There was more talking about body shapes, hair and eyes then anything else in this series.
I will say I like that it did end up being RH. At the end of book 5 I got the feeling it wouldn’t.
But this series only got worse with each book. I actually liked the first book and by this last one, I was about ready to smash my iPad.
First off instalove. She sees these guys, maybe says a few words and is obsessed with them and they are obsessed with her. I mean Sawyer is a complete Ahole to her but she’s obsessed with him. And he’s not even a huge part of the series as much as the other guys yet he’s still around and Will isn’t.
Declan was just a lean disappointment.
Sawyer was a dbag.
Travis is a psycho who enjoys torture and killing and even chains her up soon after meeting her, but it’s ok, she loves him and it’s his family’s business. What is the difference between him and Ray besides he’s her age, has blue eyes and they love each other? Hmmm nothing.
And Will, oh Will...He was so sweet and loving yet he’s a psycho murderer also.
Don’t even get me started on some of the authors asinine remarks. “Call me gay, but I wanted everything to be just right.” Is this 1980? You have to be gay to want something just right? 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
I don’t even know how I finished this series. And how in the world does it have such good reviews???
It was six books that could have been done in two or three if all the dumb stuff had been removed. Did I need to know eye and hair colors ten million times? No.
Did I need to know what holey outfit she was wearing constantly? No
There were so many redundant things in this book that could have been left out.
I probably should have waited a day or two before leaving a review but this series just got me worked up. 😂
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Yes, I want more...but maybe once Travis gets called back to his family because I totally want to know how that would work. And Markus... I really want to know more about him.
But this book? I love it! I love how everything got tied up. Especially with Will! I just kept thinking from the moment we found out about him that it's unfortunate that he isn't part of Travis' family. So, yeah... love it.
Speaking of Travis, I adore him. And Sawyer! So happy he is finally on the same page as the rest. Declan seems to have gotten more confident and assertive in some areas...*ahem*
I have to say that I am sorry it's over and I really am hoping to catch up with them again.
The first three books of this series were good and then the rest were ok. Honestly, once she got intimate with the guys, it was just meh for me. There wasn’t really connection formed, just obsession and I’ve read enough romance, dark and bully, that I needed more. There was no explanation for the connection Ash had with Travis, other than he was good looking. No connection with Sawyer, except they liked the hot and cold. The relationship with Declan and Will was at least somewhat better because they spent time together playing video games or hanging out. I don’t know, this fell flat for me.
I am a little unsure what I am going to write in this review so beware of possible spoilers. I have loved this series since the beginning but I feel very let down with the ending. I really hate how Will's story played out and where he ends up at the end of the book. The loveable sturdy hero that turns out to be the deranged villain in the end might sound good in theory but actually reading it has left me feeling so unhappy that it completely overshadows anything good. I rounded up from the 2.5 stars because I do love the rest of this series but I really didn't like how it ended.
- Comecei a série amando a Ash e terminei achando extremamente egoísta.
Eu não me proponho a ler romance dark pra aturar personagem fofinho.
- Dependência afetiva do Sawyer Do inicio ao fim ele foi um mimado carente babaca e infelizmente tenho um fraco por babacas.
- NINGUÉM VAI ME CONVENCER QUE O TRAVIS NÃO É A MELHOR COISA DESSA SÉRIE Eu amo meu demoninho justo e paciente e vou protege-lo.
The moment I discovered this author I felt like I found someone who I could connect with over a love for darker romance. If anything, this series is proof of how the author creates amazing characters that will never cease to amaze me. They all have their darkness and you know it can swing in different ways, because the author can develop her characters in a way you either grow to love them, even when you didn't at first (*cough* Sawyer *cough*) or the opposite for other characters. What I admire most, is that there wasn't a sudden 'amputation' from love to dislike/hate. You grow with the characters, get the different points of view and gradually come to understand the way the plot twists and turns. While I often had an "Oh my god, I didn't see that one coming!"-moment, I was never displeased with any of it.
As someone who is intrigued by psychology, the mind of characters in books and what makes them tick, I love reading these books so much. The author wonders if she should write more of these characters and my answer is YES! Because there are so many more adventures in store for them.
Liar was the perfect conclusion for this series though, leaving us with enough teasers though, which made me really want to know how certaint things would play out for them in the future. I was so in awe by the different points of view and the development these characters have made from start to finish. Great series indeed! One I will definitely reread a lot in the future.
What a wild and emotional journey this has been!!!
I tried to pace myself when reading this book because I knew this series was coming to an end and I didn’t know if I would be ready for all the emotions and revelations that happened. That plan to pace went to hell about 3 chapters in. I tend to procrastinate when reading the final book in a series but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it with this one. I just HAD TO KNOW!!!
I’ll try to avoid spoilers but if I slip, sorry :( I knew what to expect with Ash and her guys but I wasn’t sure how it would end up happening. Based on everything that had happened and all the lies with one of the guys, I knew that his journey and life with Ash was coming to an end. How that ending came about is what actually surprised me... it was just not something I had expected...I had expected a more “permanent” solution 😉 (it sucks trying to avoid spoilers in a review)
I loved this series so much even though I am not a huge fan of the contemporary genre, I tend to gravitate more towards paranormal and fantasy. I loved every single character the author has created. The dark, twisted, and thriller type story line made it a fantastic read and something far from ordinary. I cannot stress enough how amazing this series was. I can’t wait to read more from the author and I would even love an epilogue type novella to see what has happened in the characters’s lives a few years down the road.
I have loved the Hillcrest University books from the beginning. And this last installment was no exception! Questions were answered and finally a certain someone came to his senses. Hopefully, The Queen of all “dark & twisted” books and AMAZING Author Candace will give us a Novella and let us see where Ash and her 3 delicious boys are up to in the future. So is this really the “end” I sure hope not! Hands down amazing series! All books are a steaming 5 STARS.
I wish it was longer because I FLEW through this 😭 what do I need to do for there to be a Year 2, 3 and 4?? It's rare for a series to completely shock me, but wow, there were so many twists and turns I didn't know what to expect toward the end. That ending though 👀 not sure how I feel about what happens to a certain someone but hopefully, there will be more of him if there's a year 2. I desperately need more of these characters.
"Ash was the only one in the world I would bend over backward to be with. She had me wrapped around her finger, even with her attitude. I was the moth, and she was the flame."
In this book we get to see a clean and sober Sawyer fresh out of rehab. Of course he wants ash back and he has alot of work to do. Ash continues her relationship with Declan, Will and Travis. But what is Hillcrest without so crazy mixed in.
Travis has been my stand out guy in this series. You just gotta love him. Through this book I was looking for Travis to use his skills and he did not disappoint. 😘
Love how Ash’s story ended although I was soo hoping to read that end scene actually play out. I would be curious for a follow up on her and her men and even how one is doing with the Scott’s. Even a novella would be wonderful! Such a good series and definitely recommend. Thank you for not being afraid to take these books to places a lot of authors would be afraid to go. It makes for a refreshing read!
This book was hard to read for a couple of reasons:
1. It is the last book in the series and I tried to prolong my reading for as long as I could. 2. The secrets and suspense nearly killed me. I had to make frequent trips to Instagram as a distraction.
That being said, this was a great conclusion to the Hillcrest University series. Though, because of the author's notes at the end: will there be any more books about Ash and her guys?
If you've read my review of the previous book, Killer, then you'll understand this answer to my previous dilemma: if my husband was a monster to some people, but was the greatest partner/father/son/friend, would that affect my relationship with him? My answer is YES! I don't think I could ever fully trust a man who was a monster to strangers or acquaintances without being concerned he'd eventually turn on me or our friends and family...and I'm one of those people that think everyone should be treated with kindness unless they prove themselves to be monsters...
Does any of this make sense? Have I just negated my whole argument? There's a reason I was never in debate club nor became an attorney. I think I've proven that here. I rest my case.
What was I supposed to be talking about here? Oh yeah...this book!
This is a new semester with Ash and a chance at a new beginning. Sawyer is back at school again and seems to have turned over a new leaf, desperate to be a part of Ash's life. But, he's got to win over the approval of the three boyfriends. How weird would that be? You wanna date my girlfriend, you gotta get my approval? If my husband had 3 girlfriends and I wanted to be the fourth...the power those women would have. It scares me to think about.
Anyway...the series wraps up nicely and I loved the entire thing! It was entertaining and thought provoking, making my brain show me the strangest dreams. It's worth reading if you're a little sick and twisted...like me. Apparently.
Dnr. I finished, but skimmed a ton of it. There was sooo much repetition that this could have been broken down to 3 books. There was also way too many villains. I wish I hadn’t waisted my weekend reading. I should have stopped at the first book really, but I have a problem not finishing what I start even if it is not the greatest. Also, please note there is no epilogue and this story is only a couple months long.
There was a ton of conflicts throughout this whole series. They would say years but only months went bye. For an example, in book 1 she says she died her hair for years, but then book 2 she only started dying her a few months back when she called the cops on ray. There was also memory things going on. One flashback of wills said he gave his mom a knife, then another flashback he didn’t give it to her.
Anyways, poorly written and don’t where all high ratings came from. Dnr.
Didn't enjoy this as much as the others. I think six books was too many for this story. The story picked up weeks after senior Briggs' murder by Will. I was excited for Sawyer's return from rehab and seeing him try to make up for his wrong doings in the previous books. While I enjoyed the writing style, there were a few errors that took me out of the story (Brooklyn became Brittany in a few places). Travis was still my favorite (he's psychotic obsession done right). Have to say that while I love darkness and a little crazy in my LIs, Will was a step too far and that turned me off him. Murdering innocents is my line and he crossed it. The ending played out in some surprising ways but I'm ultimately pleased with the Will situation. But for some reason the story didn't feel complete as it was only their first year of college and Ash was still keeping Travis' secret from Declan and Sawyer. The author hinted at future stories in the future. I hope there's one with Markus.
So out of all 6 this was my least favourite. I didn't really get into the book and it took me a week to finish it. Usually I'm a 24/48hrs kinda girl. The last 20 percent was where it all happened the other 80 was just fluffiness. I think it could have been worked into five. I hate saying that I didn't enjoy because I love the author and her style. This one just fell a bit flat and wasn't as enjoyable as the others.
I hate doing this review because I really loved the first 5 books of this series. But this final book was a let down for me. I did not like how Will’s story played out in the end. Ash’s relationship with the siblings seemed like the only deep connection she had among her guys. The ending felt rushed and deeply unsatisfying. Maybe the author plans to do another book on these characters but at this point I’m no longer interested.
I wanted to like this series but I honestly got tired of all the talk about the boys’ bodies (ahem, lean Declan) & the sex. I stuck around for the plot but I was bummed Will was a bad guy.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Honestly, I enjoyed this series. I am a huge fan of Travis’s completely psycho family, lol. And any book that even contains a hint of their characters is usually a winner for me.
**SPOILERS**
If you’ve gotten this far (are reading this review) then you’ve probably read the prior books in this series. If you haven’t…go do so ASAP! Nothing will make sense if you don’t. They are really worth a read!
“Liar” basically ties up all the loose ends from the prior books, AND throws us a couple of curve balls a.k.a. Plot twists. I enjoyed seeing Markus and Lincoln make appearances and of course I love Travis, who definitely is one of the “psycho family members,” in the “family business” (even if he does try to separate himself a bit from them).
I thought that bringing in Sawyer was rushed. Yes he has been in the series from book one, but OMGAH he was such an a-hole!!! Every book just made him out to be worse. And ok, he was drugged up and drunk…he still slept with Ash’s BEST FRIEND, yuck, and Ash definitely forgave the two of them too easily! That would’ve scarred me…seeing my best friend having sex with the guy I liked and had been pursuing (him pursuing her) again gross!! Sawyer was nasty, rude, horrible, cruel, snobby and downright AWFUL to Ash for almost the entirety of 5 books!! So what, he goes to rehab, comes out, realizes he wants Ash and just like that Ash accepts him back (as long as he accepts she’s in a poly relationship). Nope! He would’ve had to grovel a lot harder to win back my affections…if he ever could’ve won them back.
Then…the plot twist with Will!!! NOOOOOO!! JUST NOOOOOO!!! Just like Wondrak cultivated Sawyer’s awful personality for 5 books plus, she cultivated Will’s great personality and his love for Ash. The twist at the end was just AWFUL! I hated it!!! I’m not sure if it was done to give us, the readers, a major twist, throw us for a loop, or if Wondrak just wanted to bring Sawyer back into “the fold”/the poly group WITHOUT Will being included. Whatever the reason, it really sucked!! It just didn’t flow nor did it make any sense. It (the revelations about Will) came out MUCH TOO LATE IN THE FINAL BOOK, and didn’t “fit” the character development Wondrak had created for Will. It was like pulling the rug out from under the reader. VERY DISAPPOINTING, and not well done, either. It seemed less like a plot twist and more like a way to “off” a character to make room for Sawyer, If this was Wondrak’s line of thinking then there should’ve been MORE BOOKS in this series, and WILL SHOULD’VE been included in the poly group eventually…maybe after completing his “rehabilitation” with Markus…if Wondrak was determined to have him be the true evil psycho who had to be “trained.” I still felt Wondrak spent too many books leading the reader on about Will and his relationship with his brother and Ash to leave/end the book the way she did. Definitely disappointing 😥
Currently starting this now with the most hatred at Will and annoyance at Ash for her constant 'i love him... but he's crazy... but I've seen and been with worse so how bad is it really" AND if any of the say "she's just different" I will loose my MIND.-- (finished) It wasn't said as often as the other books but it was brought up enough....
Travis carried this , and Swayer a little bit. The whole time that Swayer is "trying" to get back into Ash's good graces.. or her pants more than anything, I am confused as to where the growth was? Like we didn't really get much from these character's but I mean were jumping from him being a absolute asshole to him making shit noodles and raw chicken, to having a great time together getting use to the new Swayer and BAM. They bang it out after he is literally them same but they're calling it flirting now.
They were all kinda the same in this book, Declan has grown a back bone-ish< Travis is suspiciously insightful but doesn't tell anyone about what he knows. And WILL??? This mf. The hatred is fullll. I want to say I called all of his bs but I only assumed some stuff with how it would connect with what we knew but I just.. idk this series made me feel bipolar to the max.
I'm more shocked that Will wasn't accepted back into the whole gang of whatever they are. I mean I get he's like Ray but at the same time I feel a little sad that he's just being taken to the mysterious Scott forest never to be seen again. All while doing exactly what Ray and every other guy in the group is doing. Obsessing over Ash and how she's noy like other girls... I'm an empath. *sigh* I'm sorry. With Declan just being removed from the equation, Swayer literally missing from the whole last book, Travis never really having the lime light like I expected with the way his kinky deviousness was described and Declan just being a little mouse boy the whole time. I was hoping for a longer happy ending with more of everyone (minus killers). And the tease of or is it? BYYEE RUDE
I have said it before and I will say it again; I love the cover of this book. Liar is the sixth and final book in the hillcrest university series. I love this series. I had mixed feelings about this book the final book. I was happy that we got to see what happens and what happens with Ash. That being said, I love this series so I was sad that this was the final story. Like the previous books in this series, this story is full of twists and turns. It is angsty, gripping and action packed. I devoured this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline action packed. I cannot say too much as I don’t want to spoil this book for anyone yet to read it. Because of that, I will try and keep this review brief. Ash thought her second semester at Hillcrest University would be quiet. With the stalkers, murders and mysteries gone. She thought wrong. When a new dead body turns up, all is set to go off. I really liked that Sawyer is back in this series. I liked how he tried to make it up to Ash and his friends. The danger in this story had me on the edge of my seat. I really liked the ending for this story. That being said, I want more from these characters! The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I really would recommend reading this series and reading this book as part of the series.
Such a satisfying and well rounded ending. The story telling was consistent and suspenseful I wasn’t disappointed at all. - Minor spoilers below:
That particular scene with Declan and Travis was hot asf! Declan deserves a medal for being the sanest of the motley crew with that hot mouth *Fans self* And I can’t lie I’m pretty damn curious about who did the licking after the sticking? Y’know for Science...
I was pleasantly surprised at how well Sawyer was able to redeem himself. I thought he was a lost cause but in the end I found myself routing for him hard. He’s such a loveable asshole. Wish I got to see a little more of him with Ash alone. But ultimately I’m happy with how things ended up.
Travis... The jury’s still out on him. I’m not sure how I feel about him. But I do wish he’d have a breath mint and spray a little cologne after all that smoking damnit. Oh and I’m not sure I’m completely over him locking Ash up the first time she went to his room.. I think a little more payback is in order.
Don’t get me started on Joe Goldberg baseball cap wearing Will! He got his comeuppance and well deserved. And to think I was routing for him at the start! That’s just a testament to how great the writing is.. The twists/turns and reveals. I want more. I’d love to see what become of Will.
This series was fcking amazing! It ate and left no crumbs. Candace Wondrak is a genius when it comes to mindfuckery. The plot twists, the gory murders, the lies and the secrets. My brain couldn’t comprehend the absolute havoc that went down in this series, I mean holy fck. It’s an emotional rollercoaster for sure and I promise you, just when you think that you’ve finally figured it out *major plot twist occurs* YOU’RE WRONG. This pulled me in as much as real life true crime stories. I devoured this, just like I devour those. I read this like it was a crime case and tried figuring it all out but those plot twists, they threw me off every single time. This just ticked all the boxes for me. It has tension, secrets, lies, betrayal, murder, kidnapping, grief, loss, and tonnessss of spice! The romance itself, is beautiful. Regardless of the absolute madness going on and the traumatic events, their love prevailed. It stood strong in times of crisis and kept them all going. Isn’t that what real love is? That no matter what life throws at you and your partner or in this book, partners, your love for one another doesn’t go away. Your love for one another makes you want to fight for what you have and the one(s) you love. It gives you strength when you need it the most. This series may be fictional, but the love between the characters is REAL and TRUE.
Such an awesome finish to a series anyone can see Candace put her heart into! 😍
Let me just give a huge FINALLY and THANK YOU to my dear Candace for giving me all of the goods I have been waiting for in this series!
She ended this on a fantastic note. I have been waiting for a special someone and Ash to come together and face what was right in front of them and low and behold, Candace did not disappoint!
As with the other Hillcrest books, I loved Ash and her men and couldn’t wait to see what was in store for us. We have been constantly on the edge of our seats as this story built up into this amazing completed series!
Well, I say completed. But after finishing Liar, I do wonder if Candace will be gifting us with more from this world. I was satisfied with the questions that were answered and situations resolved, however with that came NEW questions!
Candace does state that there is a possibility for something in the future. So I do hold onto that hope that I will eventually get my answers🖤
Such an awesome finish to a series anyone can see Candace put her heart into! 😍
Okay so I went through a roller-coaster of emotions through that series but it was totally worth it!
Ash, Declan, Travis and Will start a new semester at Hillcrest, thinking their life would go back to normal except Will has some other ideas now that Sawyer came back from rehab, more adorable than ever.
Sawyer managed to get back on track but he hasn't change his personality one bit. I loved how smug he is with Ash. He really did a lot of efforts for her.
Honestly, I don't know how to feel about Will's ending. Like, he didn't get what he deserved for all the things he's done. He got off too easy. He's just been sent off to Travis' family, it doesn't feel like the story is over... But if there's another series coming with the same characters, with the possibility that he's going to come back, then I don't mind that ending at all.
I want a Year 2 with more Ash, more Travis, more Declan, and more Sawyer. Also, more mysteries and more drama. So let's just cross fingers, even if it's released in ten years I would totally read it!
Book 6 of 6. Wow what a ride that series was! I didn't go it to it totally blind as I had read the blurb and a small number of reviews but I still wasn't quite sure what to expect never having read anything by the author before. There were certainly some pretty big twists and turns but there were others I saw coming. I'm not sure how much forward planning went in to the direction as there were a couple of times things happened which didn't make sense to me based on earlier internal POV's but t it was still an enjoyable read. Witten mainly from Ash's POV you do also get some insight with POV's from the 4 guys and this certainly goes someway towards helping establish their connections which at times seems to be very surface.......they are so accepting of each others flaws and mistakes that it is quite scary lol. I did struggle a little bit to get in to book 1 but once I hit that sweet spot I was fine, I think book 6 was the toughest for me to read as I was worried how it was going to wrap up.
I can't believe I gave this series 1,5 week of my life.
Did you know that neither of the main characters in the series had not an ounce of fat on their bodies? I know, because the author wrote it a hundred times. And the FMC is so tiny and smol. But she has curves. But she is straight as a toothpick. She's a toothpick with curves. 😀 I hate it here.
Ash finally called Kelshey and "they both knew they f ed up". No. Kelshey did NOTHING wrong. NOTHING. She didn't know who Sawyer was. The wrong one was Ash who didn't talk to her best friend for months
Ash is also the worst FMC i have ever read about. There is nothing exciting about her. All the guys are talking about how "wild" she is and "if she can be tamed" etc. A leaf on a day without wind is more "wild" than Ash. The only "wild" thing she has going on is that she was groomed when she was 15 years old by a serial killer. The MMC are no better; Declan is a snoozefest, Travis' a sociopath and Sawyer's a snobby asshole.
***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*** This was the last book in the Hillcrest series and even though I am sad to see it end, this was a great way to go out... With a BANG!!! We pick up right where the last book left off. Things are super weird with Will. I was really rooting for him at one point but then after finding everything out in this book. WOW! In this book we get to see a clean and sober Sawyer fresh out of rehab. Of course he wants Ash back and he has alot of work to do. Ash continues her relationship with Declan, Will and Travis. But that takes an interesting turn in this book.
I am sort of disappointed I didn't get to read more on Ash and Sawyer. I felt like things should have really picked up in this book and they just didn't. I was really rooting for more Sawyer time. Anyways, this series was amazing and I highly recommend reading it if you haven't already!
A little heart brokenb that this story has come to an end! This 6 book series was just amazing!! Each book was amazing! This last book was just WOW!! SAWYER CAME BACK!! YAAAAY!! Annnnnd he was soooo much better than any of the previous books and I even cried for him. I rooted for Ash to FINALLY give the poor guy a shot!! Then freaking Will OMG!?! Where do I even start his Mom!?! Sabrina!?! His Dad!?! Corey!?! And last Sawyer!?! Like really Will was seriously unhinged. I know he thought he was doing it for Ash and Declan but he was messed up for real. You can't kill or try to kill everyone that gets in your way or that makes you mad lol 😜😂 I REALLY THOUGHT SHE DID HIM IN 🥺😳😳 Then Travis and inducting him in the family 😲😲😲😲 please please please please create a second year series 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥♥️♥️♥️♥️💔💔I must know more. If you have not read this series CHECK IT OUT!! The steamy scenes are OUT OF THIS WORLD 🔥🔥💦💦
Wow I have absolutely loved this series and so sad to see it come to and end going to miss Ash and her guys. A new term at Hillcrest for Ash and she is hoping things are going to settle down now her crazy ex is out the picture but they are all in for a crazy time. Yeh so happy that sawyer was back in this book the relationship between him and Ash makes you smile but at times want to hit him. As always with this series there were lots of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and lots of hot action between ash and her guys. I would definitely recommend this series you are grip right from the start and you just can’t put the book down just absolutely loved reading these book and loved Ash and her guys a big thumbs up
