Ahhh, who doesn't love a good spanking story? Spiced with teacher/student - say no more! The best thing ever.

I love how Tanya writes kink and I love that she can write so many things in a short novella too.

Kelvin and his discipline to study better and get better grades - wow, this is the ultimate spanking story that could happen to a student! Why aren't there more books like this? I have a need for more!

The spanking scenes were so well written, I loved how Kelvin enjoyed them and was confused about all that. And Grant, ahh, so good. He tried to keep a distance, but he wasn't as strong as he thought he was. And I loved it! The little touches, and when Kelvin was in a jockstrap, holyhell! LOOOVED it!


I really enjoyed reading this short story. Highly recommend!

A very enjoyable erotic novella where the MC realises that a good spanking might be just what he needs to get his life together.

Kelvin is really struggling with school and when he asks his psych teacher if there's any way to earn extra credits, his professor mentions a study being done on using corporal punishment to incentivise good work ethic in people with executive dysfunction.

Kelvin reluctantly signs on, but he and his administrator struggle when they realise that for Kelvin the spanking is actually an incentive, not a punishment. And oh boy when Kelvin wears the jockstrap instead of boring old boxers, things really heat up, and Grant can no longer hide how spanking Kelvin makes him feel.

It's totally unethical! But also, it's a great premise and quite original even with the well-loved pairing of teacher/student. I'll admit I'd be curious to actually read results of a study like this, and I wonder if there's anything out there.

This was surprisingly sweet. There's not a lot of emotional development, but it's also not PWP. I think it had the potential to be a longer story, with even more character development. I'm off to check out more books by this author!

As usual this author skates on an overused genre, sort of teacher student, and puts her twist on it to create a fresh story. Kelvin is a student totally out of control. Since he is failing, he goes to his professor to try and bring up his grade. What he gets is into a discipline study. Grant is the guy who is assigned to oversee Kelvin and from their first meeting there is something between them. The author uses spanking as a means to correct Kelvin’s behavior while also needing the emotional attachment to Grant. I love the stories this author comes up with. I almost stalk her because I know whatever she comes up with will hold my attention. This story does it again. She made me stop and think maybe there are reasons for spankings.

My first book by T.M. Chris on spanking had been “Pledged” and it had been a revelation for me, just like this book “Schooled”. I do like BDMS stories but spanking usually ends at the bottom of the list of likeable kinks. What this author manages to do in her books is to show the reader why spanking may be more that pain and more than shame, but indeed a gratifying experience that lasts for days after it was done. And it is a deeply emotional experience even for the authority figure creating a bond with his boy that allows the former to find release for his deep need to take care of his beloved.

Schooled is a short story but well written without unresolved issues and it is not rushed as it often occurs with short stories. I recommend this book to mild kink lovers and to those who just want to better understand how pain and shame may be cathartic and the right ingredients to a more disciplined everyday life.

Il savait tout sur le dysfonctionnement exécutif. Il le savait d'un point de vue académique, car il était diplômé en psychiatrie, mais surtout il le savait d'un point de vue pratique, car c'était le fléau de son existence. Son manuel de psychologie 101 disait que « les personnes atteintes de dysfonctionnement exécutif ont du mal à planifier, à résoudre des problèmes, à s'organiser et à gérer leur temps », ce qui signifiait beaucoup de mots pour dire « ne peut pas s'écarter suffisamment de son propre chemin pour faire quoi que ce soit ».

« Qu'implique le fait de passer l'évaluation ? » a-t-il demandé avec méfiance.

« Si vous avez été attentifs en classe, vous savez à quoi ressemble un questionnaire préalable à l'étude. » Le Dr Abidi haussa un sourcil. « Ne vous inquiétez pas. Personne ne va toucher à votre précieux cul. » Il avait l'air si méchant en disant cela que pendant un moment Kelvin eut envie qu'on lui touche son précieux cul. Le Dr Abidi avait l'air redoutable, bien qu'il ne soit pas beaucoup plus grand que Kelvin lui-même, mais ce ne serait pas le Dr Abidi qui le ferait, avait-il dit, et de toute façon l'évaluation n'était qu'une évaluation. Kelvin hocha la tête. Et pas seulement dans cette classe. Toutes ses notes devaient être améliorées. Le désespoir de sa situation le submergeait d'indécision. Quel était l'intérêt d'améliorer une note dans une classe s'il allait quand même échouer ?

« C'est le dysfonctionnement exécutif qui parle », a déclaré le Dr Abidi, comme s'il pouvait lire dans les pensées de Kelvin. « Faites l'évaluation. Une tâche pour cette journée. Des étapes simples. »

Des étapes simples. C'est vrai. Il pouvait remplir un formulaire et gagner cinq points et améliorer une chose, même si rien d'autre ne s'améliorait. La fiche technique indiquait que l'étude se déroulait dans le bâtiment Bio, là où se trouvaient les laboratoires au sous-sol, donc Kelvin s'y est rendu directement avant que quelque chose ne puisse le distraire ou le faire changer d'avis.

This is just my kind of book, and I think a good MM romance with spanking is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. The Queen of spanking is obviously Misha Horne, but TM Chris could be a strong competition if only she had more spanking romance books 😓

In this lovely short story, that doesn't feel like a novella because it has a proper beginning, middle, climax and HEA, it is about Kelvin, a blond twink who can't focus on anything and is failing in all his exams. He may be 20 (?) years old I think, and he is the best candidate for a study his teacher is doing, about spanking and how it is good for focusing, etc. Kelvin is at fist reluctant, he thinks the study is for perverts. But in his first visit, he is curious and he is very interested in TA Grant.

Grant is a sweetheart and really wants what is best for Kelvin. So that is a plus. I love it when the Dom truly cares for the sub and wants to protect him and take care of him. And Kelvin needs the spanking as a reminder, but he also loves to be spanked hard by Grant in a sexual way.

Nothing happens for the first 4 (?) sessions or so, except that Kelvin is always humping Grant's leg like a dog in heat 😅 When Kelvin dares to come with a jockstrap (all sessions are in underwear) is when they both lose it.

There is even a bit of jealousy (Kelvin doesn't like that Grant spanks a woman as part of the study, but Grant is gay and the only he cares about is Kelvin; and Grant can't sleep when he cuts ties with Kelvin and Kelvin has to be spanked by another TA, all in a very unattached way); there is a short heartbreak (when Grant decides to not be Kelvin's, mmm, tutor? spanker? when they cross the line) and of course, a HEA (Grant is even thinking about a "forever" at the end).

Of course I wish it was longer to have their romance properly developed, hence the 4 stars, but if it was a longer book, oh boy, it would have been a gem of a book.

I loved Grant and Kelvin. They were perfect together. The chemistry between them was explosive. I loved how the spankings helped Kelvin focus on getting his tasks done. I also loved the naughtiness that Kelvin felt when he would go to get his spankings because he knew that he was supposed to be motivated to do the tasks to avoid getting a spanking, and he would purposely not do all of the tasks on his list so that he would get a spanking. The study wasn't working for him because he wanted the spankings as a reward for getting his tasks done. And he would get sexually excited during his spankings with Grant, and Grant was just as affected by spanking him. Grant couldn't stay impersonal as he was supposed to while administering the spankings to Kelvin. I loved when they were finally able to start their relationship, and Grant became his Dom, and Kelvin got his spankings more often and as a reward for getting his work done. I will definitely be rereading this short story.

A fun short for those who enjoy a good spanking story and even if that isn't a kink you're particularly into it's still a fun read. I think this largely avoided the ethical problems inherent in a teacher/student story since the TA, Grant isn't Kelvin's teacher. Kelvin would probably drive me a little nuts in real life, but I loved how he recognized his needs and that it was more to him than the threat of punishment that helped. I liked that Grant removed himself from the study once he realized he had conflicts. They were really sweet together and even as short as it is I believed in their relationship. Also, they are super hot together so if you are looking for that or for sweetness either way you win.

Kelvin was a delightful mess. I absolutely adored him. He started off completely against the idea of participating in the physical punishment study, to soon become conflicted between the part of him that enjoyed the spanking and the part that thought he should of hated it. The conflict translated into some hilarious inner dialogue, especially when he started to realize that maybe a huge reason he began looking forward to the spanking was the man who delivered the blows, Grant. Academic research became hot encounters and it was so, so good to see it happen.

I had so much fun reading Schooled. A young man at an impasse who ended up learning a lot about himself, also finding a dynamic and a man that brought him happiness. Loved it!

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Kelvin is failing the whole adulting thing but when his professor allowed him extra credit, he was on the fence tongue-in-cheek with the whole thing. That is until Grant is his assigned TA. With the spankings his brain is misfiring signals to the wrong part of his body unwilling to handle this just how far is Kelvin willing to go to keep this new discovery Grant has unleashed? Can he handle another guy spanking him when Grant refuses..
I found Kelvin's committee member's in his brain hilariously entertaining and the back and forth on should he go through with.

SWEET WITH HEAT
The two characters in this story kind of stumble into a DS spanking relationship both for the first time. It's interesting to see Kelvin (the spankee) work through his opinions about spanking: from humiliating and inappropriate, to confusingly effective for his ADHD (?) and shamefully arousing, to finally an emotionally and sexually rewarding dynamic. Nice read for spanking newbies and engaging for afficianados. As always, T.M. Chris ups the heat level with well rounded characters who have emotional investments in addition to hot kinky action. Another Great One

I love how the author captures a loving relationship running alongside domestic discipline. It was wonderful reading about Kelvin and Grant. Kelvin's hesitation at the beginning and eventual realization that this was exactly what he needed. I loved slowly learning more and more about who Grant was through his interactions and conversations with Kelvin. All of the characters, from the professor, to the Dean, to Myrnna were so well drawn, individual and real. Great story. Would have happily read a longer version!

I really liked Kelvin and his need for spankings to do better in school and life. Grant was the perfect person for him. Kelvin was growing attached to Grant, and since the story (not the epilogue) was told from Kelvins POV, I could tell. I had no idea how Grant felt until the corner incident. Which I liked! After that though the romance fell into place.

This was a quick read and I enjoyed it very much. Though the relationship did feel a little rushed it was still sweet.

He signs up to get extra credit for a class that he's failing but he finds so much more at the hands of Grant. Kelvin and Grant have great chemistry right from the start and it was a joy watching their relationship bloom. But more than that, it was great watching Kelvin discover so much about himself. I was not expecting this to be so romantic. I love how the focus of the book was on self discovery and the love and care given between the two main characters. I am honestly completely satisfied with this book. It's short enough for a quick read but long enough to satisfy your needs. Furthermore I'd read this over again. Spare the rod and spoil the child seems to be an appropriate adage in this circumstance. Kelvin required a stimulus to better his time management skills, thus getting his homework done on schedule. I liked that it turned out to be a two fold blessing for him and Grant and move their relationship forward. It also helped both main characters to learn more about themselves. Win win!!!

I found this to be a very interesting set up for the two characters and I loved the way the author took us inside their scenes to explain exactly what both were experiencing and gaining from the spankings. Shockingly good, especially for the length. Most books I read with 70 pages barely have time to do anything, but this was an incredibly pleasant surprise. I may raise my rating to 5 stars later, but my 4-star rating is already difficult to attain. I absolutely intend to read more of this author’s works, including her full-length novels.
