An alternate cover for this ASIN can be found here.

Abandoned days before her extravagant destination wedding, Shae is cast into a pit of hopelessness so deep, the only thing her mind can concentrate on is trying to survive.

Her entire life has been nothing but tragedy, bad luck, and bad decisions—how stupid of her to think she could find happiness with someone.

With nothing to live for, she finds herself paralyzed in her depression, unable to find a light, a reason to go on.

Until an unbearably sexy stranger enters her life. Instead of helping her survive, he begins showing her how to really LIVE.

The more time she spends with him, the more she questions everything she held true to believe about herself. She's changed for sure, but is she changing for the better, or is this stranger taking her deeper into the depths of her own personal hell?

Ahhh cliffhanger..

I hate cliffhangers..Honeymoon with the Stranger is epically awesome though ...poor Shae....a straight laced uptight clean freak and has some ocd issues gets left at the altar ...she runs away to Teluride,Colorado on the ex fiancee's dime.....hell bent on ending her life....Derek the handsome blonde sex on 2 legs saves her...made it his mission to bring out of her lonely pitiful existence ...shows her how to loose her inhibitions about sex, life etc...she also suffers from a eating disorder because the ex called her overweight....well another man's trash is a new man's treasure.....he gives her a choice...follow him to DC or go back to Ohio..back to being a boring accountant...missing out on life...hot hot sex and a great potential coupling.....thus the reason why I hate cliffhangers...now I will wait patiently for the sequel...I love this story.

Loved it

This will be wired but I got so excited when I realized the main character was black, something I had not realized until 3/4 I to the book, i must have skimmed that relevant info. But the thing is the story was so well written that it didn’t matter her race it wasn’t used to drive the plot as most bwwm stories tend to do. She also didn’t fit into any of the tropes rife in the genre.

There was genuine heartache and love and passion and comedy it just was a truly well written story and I look forward to the next installment

Downloading part 2 as we speak.

I liked this a lot. A very good story with a perfect amount of sex and drama. Not quite insta-love, but there's no slow burn happening between these two either. It was written so well, and I was so interested in what would happen next, the timeframe didn't even matter. I was too busy mentally willing her to get her cautious behind on the plane. I'm glad the second part is already out so I can continue on this journey with these two strangers.

A thousand claps !! 👏🏾👏🏾 (Caution: Spoiler)

This book was amazing! From beginning to end. I loved the story, and the characters. Shae got on my last nerves, but she was still the perfect character. My favorite part was when Derek told her “I think that I love you in” Russian...EPIC! My heart melted at that very moment. I cannot wait to read part two!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

This book......
At first I gave it a 2 star I could not take it. I just upset at this book too often, upset at the situation that the heroine would find herself in. I couldn’t understand the situation or why it was written the way it was. That’s why I wanted to give it a 2 star. But then I went on TickTock and I watched a video of a young woman talking about how she was going on a date with a man and the man kept on telling her how beautiful she was she wanted to cancel the date because she couldn’t believe that this man couldn’t believe that this man would find her beautiful. She wondered what was wrong with her. After listening to her and rethinking about this book and why the author chooses to write a character like this I changed my view I want to give it a 3.5

I have read book similar when the girl is often depressed and lonely or doesn’t have themselves Attractive or appealing. They put on a very strong personality quite often unlikable. And it gets me frustrated to see beautiful characters as these women be subjected to looking like petty mad women. I hate when I read stuff like that I often can’t understand it mainly because that’s not my personality. But after realizing that there are women out there who go through the same thing that this particular character has gone through I have to put myself in the other person shoes and realize that this book is an actually good book and can help others to explore themselves feel confident in themselves and to see themselves in a novel. With that Good Job to the author

Still, they were things that I did not like about this book. I often found the main character or the heroine to not be a likable character. I often found her to be quite rude often upset not practicing decorum as much as the character thinks that they do. I wish that I did find some thing that I liked about her, something in her that made me relate to her but I didn’t. I found that her OCD was nothing in comparison to her unlikable characteristic. It didn’t bother me that she like to clean and like to be up on the hair heroes butt. Yet it was how she treated him how she was often upset that really put me to question what kind of person she was and why her fiancé left her. Still there were time I enjoyed her but it took till chapter 18 for me to finally understand her.

The hero on the other hand. Was quite a bit of a likable character. Let’s focus on quite a bit. Maybe a little bit more so likable character. He was kind he was understanding and I noticed that he valued talking a lot more. Though I do think he was a little bit overstepping his boundaries just a few times. But I always remembered why he was Overstepping his boundaries. It was due to the fact that he wanted to make sure she was all right. The only issue I have with this character the “hero” is that we really don’t get his perspective on things. Because it is written in the view of the heroine we don’t really understand why he is so focused on the heroin what is going on in his mind what he finds appealing about her. It leaves a void in me that I often find myself rolling my eyes when I read something he says and I think to myself what the hell did you see in her. And I hate that. But between chapter 18 and 19 I have one warmed up to them

I do hope that in the next book that I read I really get the perspective of the hero. And I hope that we also get the option of talking about seeing a therapist , but I don’t think I see that happening.

Other then that , it was an interesting read and I I must say I do enjoy the writing skills of the writer. I like the little bit of banter of the Hero and the heroin and I hope that in the next book we dive deeper into the relationship between the families and that we get to know a little bit more about the hero. I look forward to reading the other books that the writer has in her collection I hope that they’re fun and exciting and cute 🥰. This a good book to read and I think you will like it.

Shae found herself on her honeymoon alone after finding out that her fiance enjoyed the company of her sister more 😑 when she decided that she wanted to *end* things in her life, a handsome stranger saved her. He forced his way into her life and broke down the wall she built around herself to find the real Shae. Seeing her enjoy their moments was cute. Watching her be pushed by the messy over bearing stranger was comical. He see who she can be and wants so badly to bring that out in her and see her grow.

It does end in a cliffhanger like moment. She is presented with 2 choices and book 2 explores the reality of her choice.

When this book was first suggested to me, the first thing I did was check the reviews. The comments were abysmal so in kept putting it off. I finally decided to read it (some nagging was involved) and was pleasantly surprised! I was impressed by the innovative storyline and complex characters.

After Derek thwarted Shae’s attempt to end her life, she learns what it truly means to live and love with no restrictions. Beautiful story. Cliffhanger alert but part two is already out.

Excellent start! I loved this book, it touches on so many things that many won't speak on in the romance industry. Depression, mental illness and how one deals with loneliness in devastating ways. I laughed, I cried and the scenes were hot! Would recommend this story along with the continuation, Falling for the Stranger.

Very Interesting

It captures you and keeps you wondering “What the heck is she thinking?” Derek is pulling characteristics out of Shae that makes want to see if she is gonna go for it or not. Good Read!

Now, that was a good book

This book had the right amount of everything I needed. Liked seeing Shae break out of her comfort zone and realize she can and deserve to be put first and be happy. Can’t wait to read part 2.

4 Stars- Quick read. Spicy and fun! Sunshine/grump trope, which is one of my favorites! The main character grated on my nerves a bit in the middle of the book, but had a great ending and I liked her growth.

Heartache for Shae

Derek was great, Shae needed a therapist. She had low self-esteem and no self worth. Looking forward to part 2 of the story.
