Note: This is a revised and expanded edition of Tangling with the CEO published in 2014.
Mixing business with pleasure never felt so right.
Blake Buchanan and Ana Delaney lived in a share house at university and could never see eye to eye about anything. Except for one night of passion before Ana left without a word, never expecting to cross paths with Blake again.
Years later, Blake has made his millions. He comes to Noosa to manage a corporate takeover that will close down the home flipping business Ana has poured her heart and soul into. The fiery Ana is determined to convince money-minded Blake of her business’s worth, but when a family emergency throws them together, their walls come tumbling down once again…
Problem is, Blake’s business-first position hasn’t changed. And Ana can’t fall for the man who could become her boss—it’s not only her job at stake, but her heart.
Annie Seaton lives near the beach on the mid-north coast of New South Wales. She is fulfilling her lifelong dream of writing and has been delighted to discover that readers love reading her stories as much as she loves writing them. Her career and studies spanned the education sector for most of her working life until she took up a full-time writing career. Each winter, Annie and her husband leave the beach to roam the remote areas of Australia for story ideas and research.

I've already read book 2 in this series and couldn't wait until Ana and Blake's story was released (or should I say revised, expanded, and renamed). It definitely didn't disappoint as I immediately was immersed into the story and characters. Blake and Ana were flatmates back at Uni and both were interested in each other at that point but Ana disappeared from University when she had to head home to take care of her mom. Now Blake is back on the Sunshine Coast and they finally can explore their attraction. I loved the way Annie wraps the reader in the beauty of the Australian continent and makes me fall in love with her characters. Thank you Annie for another great read.
Ana and her two best friends Sierra and George run a restoration service in their city. They are very good and operate out of the local hardware store, often helping the elderly population for little or nothing. But now a big hardware company has bought the store and are doing away with the renovation service and the local flavor of the store. Ana knows the new manager of the hardware store, and hopes to change his mind to keep the renovation service. Loved this story and the local flavor of community and family !!!
I really wanted to love it---Australian Sunshine coast romance? Super fun! The problem was the entire book was fueled by the lack of communication between the two main characters---from the decade ago event all through the current times. I dislike stories where the ENTIRE plot could be avoided if the characters just speak instead of being emotional and running off. :-\ That trope just annoys me, personally.
If you enjoy Colleen Hoover, you'll enjoy this book.
The story was cute, and I liked the second chance at romance trope the book had. I disliked the miscommunication that seemed to happen throughout the whole book though. There were also a handful of grammatical errors in the beginning, but all in all, it was a good book.
I thought I was getting a Seaton suspense, but no. Ana was a little annoying in not being straight with Blake & the twins sooner, but it was an okay love story of sorts.
Very good! Annie Seaton did a great job of pulling this story together. Blake and Ana met in college. She moved back to her mother’s house and took care of her, unexpectedly as she did not leave a note, dropped out of college. Jeanette Stracner
Ana was working with the reno team out of the small hardware store. When a large company talked of buying the store she feared her job would be lost. When Blake showed up.to represent the buying company she knew all was lost. My
I enjoyed the tension and the love that abounded through this read. You get enough of sadness in the news it is a great read with twists and turns enough to keep you guessing.
Enjoyable story set in small town Australia. The main characters knew each other ten years prior at university when business has them cross paths again.
Just read this book. Annie Seaton brought the characters together. Ana ran bac from college when her mother was dying with cancer. Ten years later she meets Blake. Jeanette Stracner
I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading the rest of the series. Nothing better then a story that touches the heart and this one sure did.
Mine had a different cover (They met in college and had very different perspectives ( he very Republican conservative; She Very social welfare active). They meet again when the company he works for buys the small town hardware store she works as a restorationist at and he is supposed to make it big store focus on max profits. He finally realizes that a big store in this small town won’t work.
An absolutely engaging story that looks at a second chance love while introducing a lovable cast of characters who will no doubt grace the pages of the subsequent books in this series. I loved Ana and Blake's story and look forward to reading the next book.
