Before the Dark
Madison, Mason, and Becca are on a field trip at the natural history museum, just trying to get through their senior year of high school.
Following Mason's lead, they sneak off to another area of the museum to just get away and try to find anything exciting going on.

ღ New year, new goals in reading .... so I was browsing on the internet and came across this book, it's a prequel to upcoming new book. So walking into it I knew it was going to be a short read... thing is it✔️ off few thing for my reading goals...

So since I did mention the fact that this is a short read I'm not going to give you any true details to the book...
Anyone who truly knows me knows I do not like this type of books so I'm taking a risk by agreeing to read the next book in this coming series... Wish me luck, cuz this book looks very promising

Short but I can't wait for more!

This a great introduction into the Dark series. It is a short story, only a few chapters, but that is all that is needed. It is here you will see how the journey of our favorite characters were started.
Emma does a great job bringing the characters to life. She also presents the urgency of danger, the visualization of destruction, and the change of life. She does this without giving too much information allowing one to imagine for themselves the situation, while giving enough information to help the reader know exactly what is going on.
Great read.

This is a very short prequel to the first book in the The Dark series. Although it could have used an editor, it made me interested in reading more. I'm more interested in the story of the three teens than the (as of now) seemingly unrelated couple with marriage troubles but I suspect it will all tie together as the series progresses.

Actua tanto de precuela, si uno ya conoce la saga como de introducción si uno es nuevo en este mundo. Es corto por lo cual se siente como un prólogo extendido.
La novela nos presenta los momentos antes de que suceda un evento apocalíptico desde dos puntos de vista: una pareja que está tratando de recomponer su relación y un grupo de amigos que están de visita escolar en un museo. La parte de los amigos está más elaborada y tiene más desarrollo, por lo cual es más interesante de seguirlos, aunque me genera curiosidad saber cómo ambas historias van a conectarse.
Es una lectura rápida y sencilla, me generó la suficiente intriga como para saber qué sigue.

It's a short novella that establishes some characters before an apocalyptic event occurs.
At least for now, there are two unrelated stories: a group of three teens visiting a museum and a couple trying to mend their relationship. I think the teen part of the book is more developed and interesting, but I'm curious to see how all the paths cross.
It was a nice starting point and it made me interested in reading more of this saga.
