Book 2 of an upper YA magic academy romance series.

My Chaos is free, but that fretful night had come at a cost.
Erebus knew, and he wanted me.
My only chance was to gain my freedom from him, but I needed that Ruby.

Unfortunately, life has to go on and if I stood any chance of fitting in, I needed to turn up to lessons.
The only certainty I had in my life was Levi.
With my bond with him strengthening, and my mind struggling to focus, problems were bound to get in my way because nothing was ever that simple.
I planned on getting that Ruby though, one way or another.

Oh man! This series just went from complicated to absolutely insane! There is so much going on. It's so confusing and hard to keep up with everything happening. Some parts are harder to muddle through than others. But the writing is amazing. It's engaging and flows. While there are some grammatical issues, I still think the story is good. Yes, the grammer issues took me out of the story, but my brain was able to reset the errors to where it didn't bother me.

Now, I thought I loved the characters in the first book, but I truly fell for them all in this book. Lorrie really amazes me with how loyal she is to Roxy. She fights for Roxy when Roxy herself doesn't want to go on. That's a true friend. Although this is a romance, I LOVE that the author included such a strong friendship. Way tok many times, authors pit women against each other, and very few times do we see true friendships. Though Lorrie thinks Levi is attractive, she doesn't try to compete with Roxy for him or put Roxy down. I can't love that more.

Levi and Miles are some of the best men I have ever read about. Levi can be overbearing towards Roxy about her safety, but at the end of the day, he respects her and her strength. They work together to overcome obstacles. And they communicate!!! Miles, with his feelings for Roxy, respected her decision and has done nothing to come between her and Levi. Even though he hurts, he still understands that it was Roxys choice and doesn't become hateful. I truly love the friendship they all have.

My biggest love for this book has to be Connor and Athena, Levi's parents. Roxy's bloodline is terrifying. And they are scared, but they love their son and see how Levi is with Roxy and accepts her! Not only accepts her, but welcomes her as part of their family. Protects her and loves her! That is a family! Yes, it took the fact that Levi and Roxy are destined, but they still welcomed her. Their fear for their son is justified! I'm just glad that they accepted it.

My heart can't take that ending. I just need answers!! I hope and pray that everything is OK. That Leo was able to bring it all back properly and safely! Roxy can't lose anymore than she already has. She won't survive!

A good read but in my opinion too much sexual overtures. There is enough action and suspense and emotions to make it interesting . Roxy 's skills have increased as has her love or Levi. But trying to keep everything under lock and key is making life difficult plus Roxy need to find the Ruby which may not be possible.

Alchemy Academy: Shadow Cove by Jess Peters in book two in the Alchemy Academy Series. After devouring the first book I couldn’t wait to see where this book took me. Oh my gosh what a ride, this book just took it up to another level. I couldn’t stop reading it, I don’t think I moved off my couch until I finished. The writing is great as is the plot that just keeps expanding. I will bring up a few errors but if you’re like me then there’s no issue. I didn’t take me out of the story at all because I need to know more! I really love how the characters are done and the emphasis on friendship and support. I enjoy the respect of choices and of each other's feelings. It is such a pleasant thing to see/read in a story. I'm a fan of Levi and his supportive parents. You could feel everyone’s emotion so much while reading. Well done… Jess Peters writes fantastic tales and I’m a fan of her character Roxy. I can’t wait to see where her story is going to go. There were twists and turns… that ending!!! I really need to read the next book. Two thumbs up from me!!! If you want a author that can suck you into their worlds with great characters and worlds then look no further!

Oh boy where do I begin, this continues off from book 1, such a rollercoaster of a ride, and i love every minute off it, I'm here for every minute of it, I finished this book in less than a day I couldn't put it down, I kept needing to see what happens next..

Jess is a wonderful writer and her characters are phenomenal. There is so much drama, angst, spice.
And more. I highly recommend this series.

Oh boy Levi and Miles are 🥵🔥. I love reading about them , Levi can be a damn bit overbearing towards Roxy about her safety, but he respects her and her strength. They work together to overcome big obstacles. And they communicate really well! My heart, 😞poor Miles even with his feelings for her, he's respected her decision and has not came in-between her and Levi. I really truly love the friendship they all have.. it's heart warming.

Oh miss peters what was that ending. You have gone and broke me and I need more!! I need answers!! Please tell me there is answers. ?!..

Roxy

The Shadows Try to get her in unprotected areas. They travel to America for Flicker match and get beat, but put up a good fight. They go to Levi's house for Christmas, and his parents welcome her. Then they travel to find Leo and the ruby.
