The Mystery of Being a Christian  It can be hard for us to admit we are dissatisfied with our spiritual life. That we are in a place where going to church is not yielding the victory we desire. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are in fact a new creation. How would you like to start really experiencing that new life? Once you do, you will discover a world of unlimited spiritual possibilities. Being a Christian is a mystery in which Christ lives in us through a radical transformation of our spiritual DNA. Like the author, I was saved as a young child. I didn’t fully understand what it meant to be a Christian, but I knew I felt different. I now had someone who would watch over me and protect me. What I really liked about the book was this statement; We will be “ticking time bombs” that destroy the enemy’s schemes wherever we go.” We will be filled with wisdom and knowledge concerning our Creator and all He made us to be. Simply put, we will be dangerously new creations!” Our need to understand how to fight the enemy is vital to our Christian life. The author delivers a book that is encouraging, easy to read and provides scriptures and Bible studies to reinforce the topic of the book.

The author doesn’t mix words while explaining that we need to act like Christians who trust God and won’t settle for living in poverty, sickness or depression. Sometimes I think we get comfortable and forget that when we go through a test it is to make us stronger. Fight the good fight and don’t allow the enemy to wear us down. We need to have the mind of Christ and walk in freedom everyday.

The author does touch on a few subjects that some may not agree with like speaking in tongues. I always say, “If it is not in the Bible, then it is not true.” I remember being younger and a lady in church started speaking in tongues. It scared me because I was never taught what speaking in tongues was. When I became an adult I found a church that spoke about this subject and I understood it more. I want readers to decide for themselves what they believe in. I think the author does a good job of explaining subjects that Christians have questioned.

Overall I liked the book, the questions provided at the end of the chapters and the prayers that help us to grow in the Word. “ The truth is, we either believe the Word of God or we don’t. We need to be reminded of what the Scriptures say and then believe and act on what God is telling us.”

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.

I grew up Catholic. I started questioning my faith when I had my oldest daughter at age 15 and the priest of our family's church refused to baptize her since I was an unwed teen mom. I started to wonder why God would punish my child because of my choices. When I turned 20 - I felt drawn to a local Baptist church. I had been living my life as if I was number one. My opinion was the only one that mattered. The sermon for the visit was - "Not your way but God's". I'll never forget that sermon. At the invitation portion at the end I could feel the tears running down my face. The peace that I felt at that moment is something that you never forget. I am sharing the story of my salvation - because I had carried that shame of being a single mom for so long. At the time of my salvation I had 2 small children. The opening of this book - speaks about how God wants us to live a Supernatural life. He wants us to live so full of God's grace and power. The moment of my salvation is when I felt God's grace and forgiveness flooding over me. The author also shares his story of being saved as a child.

The author uses Biblical truth and personal experiences to get his message through. At the end of each section - the author challenges us to dig deeper with thought provoking questions. This book is powerful and inspirational. There is talk about speaking in tounges - which not everyone may not agree with - but it does not take away from the book. This would be a good edition to a church library and a bible study. I enjoyed going through this book .

I received a copy of this book through the Celebrate Lit blogging program - all thoughts are my own.

This is a good book to have on hand in church libraries but really also any library. I too was saved as a young child and have found that it feels I have to work harder at my faith sometimes than those I know who were saved later in life. It feels more complacent. More a part of me but something that might be moved to the side.

As with any book written more for a specific denomination, there are going to be controversial areas within the book. For instance, one of the parts of this book that would ruffle feathers in some circles is speaking in tongues. As a child, this was not something that we talked about. This was not part of my church. It wasn’t something that was seen in today’s world, rather only during bible times.

I do think this is a good book and I do recommend others read it. Just know with any book you do not have to agree with everything nor do you have to conform to everything for it to be a good book or worth the read.

I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received through Celebrate Lit. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations.

So if you are looking for a book designed to help you become the person who God means for you to be, check out this book for yourself. I feel it definitely deserves your consideration.

This book desires to help Christians with their spiritual lives, whether newly born again or a longtime servant of the Lord. Divided into two parts, “The New-Creation Life” speaks about the experiences of a new believer, and “Living a Supernatural Lifestyle” to teach what the author believes all in Christ’s kingdom should experience. Its eighteen chapters address such areas as: “More Than Religion,” Breaking the Cycle of Striving,” “Creation versus Reformation,” and “Living from the Inside Out.” The information is presented in an easy-to-understand way, sharing insights and explanations to help readers apply the principles in their own lives. The text is supported with Scripture and comes from a charismatic perspective. It would be a good book to have available in a church library and could be used for group discussion. Its eighteen chapters would last more than one quarter, but some could possibly be combined if desired. A study guide is also available. I received a copy from Celebrate Lit. All opinions are my own.

This was a good book. I felt a connection with what the author was saying about being saved at a young age and it almost feeling like something you get 'used to' or 'complacent with' because it has been a part of you/life for so long. I still have tons of questions and I know I won't get all the answers until I get to Heaven.

There are some things I disagree with in the book, but I still think overall it is a good one for a church library or any Christian to have at home in their personal library to study. God has a plan. He knows more than we do, we just need to trust Him. Overall, this was a really good book.

It was a 3/5 for me.

Thank you to the author/publisher for the review copy of this book via Celebrate Lit. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.

Unlocking the Code of the Supernatural The Secret to God’s Power in You by Kynan Bridges is an in depth Bible study focusing on accepting the Lord as your Savior and the results. From the book: “The world doesn’t need another religion; it has plenty already. What the world actually needs to see is the living Christ. When people see Him for who He really is, they will be drawn to Him with awe and wonder”. This study includes Bible verses, the author’s interpretation, prayer and stories. I found this book a very interesting read with plenty of opportunity for personal growth. I would recommend this book for those wanting to know about a relationship with our Lord and those that wish to deepen their relationship.

This book was provided through Celebrate Lit, the publisher and the author for me to read. The opinions expressed are my own thoughts.

Unlocking the Code of the Supernatural" by Dr. Kynan T. Bridges is a book that is a great reminder of what we have when we are Christians, but the author says not many Christians live in the way that Jesus intended us when He died for us.
I really liked the explanation that the author explains about the fig tree and why Jesus cursed it. I have always wondered why He cursed it

Each chapter has a set of questions for us to answer about ourselves and a Victory prayer to repeat.
