Una historia corta, sin más pretensiones que compartir el amor de Zeke y Lia.
Está bien escrita y tiene partes que... Joder, son buenísimas, pero me ha faltado algo. Quizás más participación psicótica de Stuart, o puede que más acción en uno u otro sentido. Más drama.
Incluso hubiese preferido un fracaso laboral por parte de Lia o algún desliz de Zeke el que fuese.

Esta es sin duda la historia más linda y romántica que he leído de esta saga, la manera de ser de Zeke es única y Lía es una chica tan sencilla y auténtica, el saber que alguien puede dañarte al grado de meterse a tu mente, es algo que en la realidad no le pasa a una, le pasa a muchas chicas. Que creen que cambiando su forma de ser serán valoradas y amadas, cuando el verdadero amor empieza por ti y los demás solo deben aprender amarte tal cual eres.
Me ha encantado la simplicidad de la historia, es tierna y te atrapa a tal grado que no puedes parar. Y es que es lindo ver historias así, sin tanto drama, intrigas y llantos, claro que este último no puede faltar pero no ha sido excesivo y ha estado en la justa medida debido a las situaciones de Lia, eso la hace especial a mis ojos.
Gracias por dejarme formar parte una vez más de esta lectura conjunta.

No ha terminado de convencerme. Me ha parecido una historia muy sencilla y plana. Con unos personajes sin demasiada química, y sobre todo muy pero muy repetitivos en ciertas cosas que no tienen sentido.
Aunque lo peor de este libro me ha parecido la traducción. Había muchísimos errores, y palabras que no estaban bien traducidas o que no tenían sentido en la frase. Definitivamente esta autora no es para mí.

Esta historia es un pequeño salto en el orden de la serie, pues tenemos que regresar al momento después de la historia de Jett y Ruby (libro 12, Multimillonario Rechazado), en donde dos personajes llamaron mucho la atención y de quienes nos quedamos con ganas de ver qué pasaba en sus vidas: Lia y Zeke.
Pues bien, este par nos traen una historia típica y de esas que tanto amamos, el amor entre amigos que va más allá de la amistad. Amor que definitivamente todos ven, menos ellos, o que al menos tienen reticencia a aceptarlo por miedo a perderse como amigos.
Todo estalla el día de la boda de Lia, pues su futuro marido decide no casarse con ella, quien también ya había decidido suspender el matrimonio y... Suceso que también Zeke pretendía evitar, pues no podía permitir que ella cometiera un error. ¿El único problema? Lia necesita estar casada antes de su cumpleaños para obtener la herencia de su abuela. Ahí es donde Zeke se ofrece, con la intención semioculta de hacerla ver que ellos son buenos el uno para el otro y que ese amor y pasión que llevan tanto tiempo aguardando, es lo mejor que puede pasarles.
Este volumen es corto, pero lleno de pasión, con el claro estilo erótico de la autora, con el toque justo de ese macho alfa que nos gusta, pero que respeta y valora enormemente a su pareja, dándole su lugar.
Una obra que nos muestra cómo vencer el miedo a la soledad, que nos enseña a abrir los ojos a nuestro real entorno y motiva a darnos una oportunidad para ser felices. Manifiesta claramente que la amistad es incondicional y es uno de los regalos más bellos que podemos encontrar.
Yo no puedo no recomendar una historia de J. S. Scott, es simplemente un vicio personal.

La verdad no esperaba que saliera este libro, me gustó mucho conocer más la historia de Lia y Zeke, cuando leí el libro de Jett, quede con la curiosidad de saber más de ellos, aquí conocemos como se hicieron amigos y como a medida del tiempo fueron surgiendo sentimientos, aunque tenían miedo de decirlo por no ser correspondidos, aunque cada uno tenía sentimientos secretos y llegan a estar juntos y expresar sus sentimientos libremente, me gustó mucho este libro, como todos los de la serie, espero leer pronto el libro de Jax 🥰.

Loved this novella!!!! Friends to Lovers! They were friends for years, when did it turn to love. This is a sweet and uplifting book about friends who are there for each other and the journey they went on when they committed to each other! I enjoyed this book and this storyline. Highly recommend the book!!!

This is a good romance, with a likable couple. I liked how Zeke was determined to convince Lia that they were meant to be together, and was willing to do anything to make her happy. This one gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars.
I liked Zeke -- he was so good to Lia, and was sweet about helping with the insecurities caused by her emotionally abusive ex. He wasn't quite sure how to get their relationship out of the friend-zone, but it did finally happen.
I liked Lia, too, but thought she was a bit of a coward for never telling Zeke she wanted more than friendship with him. She had tried once, and gave up after it didn't work. She had just decided that it would be better to remain friends than take the chance of being rejected. I was glad when they finally got past that.
One thing bothers me about all of the books I've read by this author. and that is way too much use of the f*** word -- which I absolutely hate. There is no reason why that word should be used so much, but it is in lots of conversations the characters have, and often in their thoughts, too.
My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Preciosa historia ❤❤
Buenas tardes😘 hoy vengo a recomebdaros este libro que ha sido mi última lectura.
Una historia que me a gustado mucho, saber que piensan, que sienten, como lo viven es lo que mas me gusta.
He conectado tanto con Lía como con Zeke, la he disfrutado a fuego lento para no perderme ningún detalle, la he vivido como si fuera parte de ellos y eso es lo que mas me gusta de leer. Perder la noción del tiempo a mi alrededor, olvidarme del mundo, de todo.
Zeke y Lía son mejores amigos y por miedo a perder lo que tienen, esconden sus sentimientos. Aunque algún que otro suceso hará que todo cambie para ellos.
Hay veces que no hacemos las cosas, o no damos el paso por miedo a lo que pueda pasar y eso es lo que a ellos les pasa.
El miedo es el mayor enemigo que podemos tener. Cambiar como somos para encajar es un error, si te quieren te aceptan como eres.
En esta historia vamos a vivir una historia preciosa, en donde nos enseña que querer es aceptar a las personas como son, es dejar que vuelen alto, estar en las buenas y en las malas. Es estar ahí, darlo todo sin pedir nada a cambió.
Una historia que me ha hecho sonreír, suspirar, temer por que algo malo sucediera y lo estropeara todo, subir la temperatura a mi cuerpo y querer ser Lia😈🔥 para que Zeke apagará el fuego🤣 y me he ENAMORADO en mayúsculas de ellos.

Si algo caracteriza las historias de J. S. Scott son los temas que toca y como los va desarrollando.
La historia fluye muy rápido.
Cuando conocí a Zeke y Lía, en la historia de Jett y Ruby me llamaron la atención por la amistad que tenían.
Sin duda es una historia bonita que resalta la amistad, entre Zeke y Lía, en la que ambos se sentían atraídos uno por el otro pero ninguno daba el primer paso para confesar esos sentimientos, no queriendo dañar esa amistad que había surgido desde muy jóvenes y la que valoraban más que cualquier otro sentimiento.
El día que Lía decide confesarle a Zeke sus sentimientos, él no le cree porque esta ebria.
Tengo que admitir que su forma de ser me cautivo, como la cuidaba y le daba ese valor a casa cosa que ella hacia.
Lía, una chica alegre y extrovertida que guarda sentimientos desde muy joven hacia su mejor amigo Zeke. Con el paso de los años ella sale con chicos, hasta que cree encontró ese indicado para dar el gran paso.
Ver como Lía luego que había sufrido maltrato psicológico por parte de ese hombre que creía amar, hasta el punto que se alejo de su mejor amigo.
Zeke, ese amigo incondicional que comparte años de amistad con Lía, no recuerda desde cuando empezó a tener sentimientos por ella pero sabe que lo que desea es hacerla feliz, ayudándola a sanar las heridas que le han causado su expareja.
Si desean leer una historia, sin muchas complicaciones y pasar un rato ameno, esta es la historia.

Zeke es un abogado intachable que a realizado su fortuna haciendo crecer el bufete que le heredo su padre y realizando increíbles inversiones, tienen una buena relación con su familia, grandes amistades como con Jett y su esposa Ruby, pero su mejor amiga desde hace años es Lia por quien a crecido un sentimiento de amor como mujer pero por miedo a perder la amistad a dejado callado su sentir pero al ver que esta por perderla tendrá que sacar valentía y expresar lo que realmente quiere con ella.
Lia una joven dueña de una cafetería de renombre a salido a delante de varias situaciones algo duras como perder a sus padres a corta edad y hace poco a su abuela quien la crío, después de ello se creyó enamorada de Stuar un joven pretencioso que la trataba mal y criticaba mucho por todo, al grande de que ella realizo varios cambios en su vida para complacerlo, el dia de su boda pasa algo la deja vestida en el altar.
Sera que el destino les mostrara a este par de amigos que su cariño va más allá de amor fraternal y que se dieron cuentan años atras pero lo dejaron pasar.

Esta historia es refrescante y corta, que va un poco directo al punto sin tanto drama.
Vemos como el miedo a dar un paso más a una relación de amistad lo frena y los hace cometer algunos errores, confiando en qué el otro de el paso para estar seguro y no sufrir pero siempre hemos sabido que el que no arriesga, no gana y esto nos lo enseñó Zeke, que aunque fue en el último minuto trato de hacer algo.
Leemos una amistad de años pero que poco a poco fue perdiendo esa conexión por la apariciones de nuevos personajes, como nos vamos adaptando a una relación porque creemos que es lo que necesitamos y nos sentimos "cómodas" cómo nos van apagando para entonces manejarnos a su antojo, todo esto lo vemos en esta historia corta pero que te llena de emoción por las oportunidades que se encuentra cuando tiene todo lo que deseas en una relación.
Ambos personajes son un poco cohibidos pero al mismo tiempo se comprometen con esas personas a su alrededor.
Es fácil de leer y tiene lo necesario para atrapar te una tarde.

Vemos como el miedo a dar un paso más a una relación de amistad lo frena y los hace cometer algunos errores, confiando en qué el otro de el paso para estar seguro y no sufrir pero siempre hemos sabido que el que no arriesga, no gana y esto nos lo enseñó Zeke, que aunque fue en el último minuto trato de hacer algo.
Leemos una amistad de años pero que poco a poco fue perdiendo esa conexión por la apariciones de nuevos personajes, como nos vamos adaptando a una relación porque creemos que es lo que necesitamos y nos sentimos "cómodas" cómo nos van apagando para entonces manejarnos a su antojo, todo esto lo vemos en esta historia corta pero que te llena de emoción por las oportunidades que se encuentra cuando tiene todo lo que deseas en una relación.
Ambos personajes son un poco cohibidos pero al mismo tiempo se comprometen con esas personas a su alrededor.
Es fácil de leer y tiene lo necesario para atrapar te una tarde.

Zeke no es la excepción y hasta te hace desear un amor así, genuino y natural que empezó con una simple amistad entre él y Lia que desde la adolescencia y por temor a perder la relación que tenían ambos tomaron decisiones que los alejaron un tiempo, y tiempo un suceso inesperado los hizo replantearse y afrontar de algun modo la realidad y poner en disyuntiva los sentimientos de los dos.

Antes que nada gracias por la oportunidad de permitirnos conocer a Zeke y Lía, es una novela fresca, dulce, que te gancha y quieres saber como arreglara Zeke el pequeño malentendido que tuvieron años atrás, como ninguno de los dos quiere hablar de esa noche ya que tienen miedo de dañar su relación, afortunadamente lo pudieron arreglar aunque fuera con prisas para lograr la última voluntad de la abuela de Lía, me encanto el apoyo que Zeke siempre le brindo, siempre motivando a Lía a lograr sus sueños, aunque ambos quisieron negarlo son almas gemelas, son tan perfectos juntos.

He tenido la oportunidad de leer casi todos los libros de la autora, ella tiene características esenciales que plasma en sus historias y que ya de convirtieron en su sello personal, romance, instinto protector, erotismo y más, este libro no es la excepción, aunque esta vez y a mi criterio le faltó algo, no sentí emociones al leerlo, no ví matizes, lo sentí muy plano, esto no quiere decir que sea un pésimo libro, solo que para mí le faltó algo. Torn between giving this a 3 or a 4. What I had hoped was a carnal, emotionally connected story turned out to be a self deprecating, could have, would have, should have for both Zeke and Lia. It was more so Lia than Zeke. In a little more than the first half of the story, all it entailed was Lia and Zeke saying they should have done this or that when it came to each other. Most of it had Lia blaming herself for everything that happened with Stuart and how she pulled away from Zeke. I can handle this for a little bit, but after hearing her overthink and complain about herself a good portion of the book, I almost had enough. I was ready to throw in the towel and say forget it if all I’m going to be reading is this. I wanted that panty ripping, intense desire and make up for lost times feel between Lia and Zeke. This didn’t happen in the story fast enough. I blame Lia for it because she kept thinking Zeke’s attraction to her wasn’t real, that he was only doing it to appease her and help her with another situation. Either she had really low self esteem, or she is just oblivious to how he blatantly shows he likes her as more than a friend. Honestly, I don’t really have complaints about the story, it’s more about Lia being annoying. I just wanted her to stop talking and fall into Zeke. Once she realizes that he’s everything to her and he is serious about making the marriage work, after not taking his chance this whole time then the story gets better. You see Zeke and Lia explore their relationship as friends but also lovers, man and wife as well. With Zeke’s support and need to stand up for her, Lia finds the confidence she needs and is able to look at herself as an intelligent, sexy woman who knows what she wants and you see her grow into that, and of course show it once she comes face to face with her ex again. Overall, the reason this book held me back from giving it a full 5 and ultimately why I didn’t give it a 3 is because while Lia was annoying at first and put a damper in the beginning of the book, it got better. I enjoyed reading the story more when Lia grew into herself and realized Zeke’s feelings were true and that hers never went away. The story explores this and it wound up being a beautiful story, but her demeanor in the beginning stopped me from giving this a full 5.

Me ha encantado como la escritora a través de sus letras nos demuestra que como seres humanos nos podemos equivocar ese es el caso de Lía que después de haberle revelado sus sentimientos a Zeke en un momento de ebriedad y sintiéndose un poco rechazada por su amigo decide enterrar sus sentimientos y hacer pensar a su amigo que no recuerda nada por miedo a perder su amistad, pasan los años y Lía cree encontrar al hombre adecuado para casarse pero el mismo día de su boda es plantada, siente un gran alivio porque ella estaba decidida a cancelar su boda porque se da cuenta que no ama a su prometido y que sigue enamorada de su gran amigo, al mismo tiempo en la capilla su amigo Zeke siente un profundo miedo por perder a la mujer que ama que decide ir a rescatarla para que no cometa un error pero al llegar donde ella se encuentra se da cuenta que fue plantada y en lo único que piensa es que debe sacarla de ese lugar para ponerla a salvo.

J.S. Scott is one of my ‘automatic read’ authors, so as soon as I saw there was a new story to read, I was there. And yet again, she has proven why I love her books so much with Billionaire Unwed – Zeke. Zeke and Lia’s story drew me in and wrapped me right up in their emotions, where I stayed until I had finished the book in a few sittings across the course of 1 day. I loved it! It’s a very personal story of two people who have loved each other as best friends for a long time, but now it’s time to move to something more.
Lia and Zeke have been best friends since they were 14 years old and they are very close. But friends is all they have ever been.
With only moments to go before her wedding, Lia’s fiancée dumps her at the aisle, leaving Zeke there to pick up the pieces and provide a shoulder to lean on. (And it sounds like a rather nice shoulder too.) Then when Lia tells Zeke that she only has a matter of days to marry or she won’t inherit, he’s there to take care of that for her too. And with that, their marriage begins.
Zeke and Lia both have very strong feelings for their best friend, but they aren’t in the same place when it comes to how they feel about taking the relationship further. Lia is wary and cautious. After the fiasco with her wedding, she is struggling to come to grips on her feelings about her former relationship and cancelled marriage, as well as how to move forward from it. Zeke, however, already knows how he feels about Lia and is confident that he wants more with her.
Zeke has to be close to the perfect dream man. He’s considerate, kind, caring; he puts Lia first in every way. He could really go rapidly into sappy overkill – but he doesn’t. J.S. Scott manages instead to make him admirable and endearing (and did I mention the shoulders? They sound impressive in both support ability as well as appearance…).
Billionaire Unwed – Zeke is part of a series, but it can easily read as a stand alone story with out any effect to the enjoyment of the book. If you’re looking for a feel-good romance with a main man who is unashamedly devoted to his leading lady, this is the book for you.

As always, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Jan knows how to pen a love story. Zeke and Lia have been friends since high school. Not just friends, best friends. Their friendship was put on the back burner when Lia started dating a guy that Zeke did not like. His hate for this guy and his love for Lia prompted him to concoct a plan to stop their wedding. Thankfully he didn’t need a plan. The wedding ended before it started and Zeke whisked Lia off in a wedding gown. The problem with this whole situation is Lia has to get married before her 28th birthday to get her inheritance. She wanted the inheritance to pay Zeke back for investing in her coffee shop.
Zeke’s plan makes an unexpected turn when he agrees to marry Lia so that she can still get the inheritance. Unbeknownst to Lia, this marriage is very real to Zeke. He plans to use this time to get Lia to see him and love him as much as he loves her. Readers take this journey with this unexpected but perfect for each other couple. I loved this journey and I know you will too.
This is a rewrite of a book. I’m so happy it made it into this series. You get to see a few of your favorite characters of this series. Zeke and Lia are good friends with Ruby and Jett. They were able to give this couple the push they need to make this relationship forever.

So Freaking Whiney!
I hated this book. Don’t know how it got so many 5* reviews. I can save you some time and give you the cliff notes.
Her-I know you’re just marrying me to help me get my inheritance
Him- no, I love you
Her- no you couldn’t…I’m unlovable
Him- your not…I love you
Her- your just saying that
Him- no, it’s true I do
Her- you couldn’t
Him- but I do
Her- I’m bad in bed…everybody says so
Him- no your good in bed
Her- okay I believe you, but I know it’s temporary and you will find better then me soon
Him- no I love you
Her- but you couldn’t……
Now picture a couple hundred pages of that followed by a similarly whiney pregnancy announcement after 5 years of marriage and you have this book! It was horrible. The author really phoned it in! It was the same damn whiney absurd conversation repeated an insane number of times. I’m surprised the characters themselves didn’t get sick of it lol. Seriously, im not lying. Read my cliff notes above and you have the whole book. Even the sex was whiney and pathetic. Sadly, it could have been much better since, obviously the author can write. If you can come up with roughly 200 different ways to have that needy, whiney conversation…you must have some talent. I’ve read a bunch of her books but I wish I could get the time I spent on this one back!

Time to stop burying their feelings.
I first read this as a novella in another series. I was so excited to learn it had become it's own story and was expanded. I loved getting more of Lia and Zeke's story. We start off at Liz's wedding, she's supposed to marry a real jerk. Sitting there waiting for her to walk down the aisle Zeke realizes he can't let her do it. Around the same time Lia is coming to realize she can't go through with it. Stuart (her fiancee) apparently had the same idea and stood her up.
Since she was 14 Lia has always had Zeke by her side, they are best friends and although there have been moments, they never crossed the line. When Zeke offers more Lia thinks he's just being kind. How long can she manage to keep her own desires hidden from herself with him tempting her all the time?
This story has me smiling and rooting for them the entire time. I hated Stewart and am glad we didn't have to see too much of him. The realism of how you can loose yourself in an abusive relationship really came through and showcased that there is more than just physical abuse. It takes courage to realize you mate worth more than that.

Zeke made one mistake, he didn't trust Lia! Just once and it almost cost them everything. These two are soul mates and meant to be together, such a strong friendship and support that has been in place for years, how could that not follow into a relationship? I like that there is always substance to JS Scott stories, yes it has love and romance and sex but there is always something else going on so it isn't just that. Romance can border on sickly sweet, be way to sappy and for me I need more than that. I have to have a story, a plot of some kind that goes right along with the love and this author knows just how to do that. I was sucked in and held captive from the first page to the end, the story is interesting and emotional. Well written by an author who knows her craft and delivers an excellent read to be enjoyed by the reader, fabulous characters to either love or hate, depending on the good guys versus the bad guys. It's a story to take you away from daily grind and just relax, you know you will get the hea at the end so just love the journey to get there. Started 25/7/21 Finished 26/7/21

Men don't get much better than Zeke! Lia and Zeke have been friends for years. He has been her hero and her best friend, but when she decides she'd like to take the relationship a little further on her 21st birthday, Zeke turns her down. She thinks it's because he doesn't want her, when really it's because he doesn't want to take advantage of her (she's drunk). Fast forward 7 years and Lia is about to walk down the aisle making the biggest mistake of her life, and Zeke is not gonna let that happen!
He helps her as he has since he's known her. Now he finally has the chance to let her know how he feels and he is not going to waste it.
J.S. Scott weaves a beautiful story of friendship and true love in this short length novel. Everyone wants to see Lia and Zeke together, even her late grandmother. It was easy to connect with the characters and I fell in love with Zeke.

Friends to lovers, one of my favorites
I love a good J S Scott novel, but this one also fits one of my favorite tropes, friends to lovers.
Lia and Zeke have been best friends since Zeke protected her from harassment in HS almost 14 years ago.
And while they each have had that awareness of attraction, neither acted upon it (well the one time Lia acted upon it she was drunk and Zeke didn’t hold her to it).
Present day Lia must be married by her 28th birthday to inherit her beloved grandma Esther’s estate. Zeke to the rescue when Lia’s POS fiancé bails out on their wedding day.
I loved it, the chemistry, the friendship, the sex (once they figured it out).
It’s a pun updated, slightly revised storyline, but the enhancements are well worth it.
I love a good J S Scott novel, but this one also fits one of my favorite tropes, friends to lovers.
Lia and Zeke have been best friends since Zeke protected her from harassment in HS almost 14 years ago.
And while they each have had that awareness of attraction, neither acted upon it (well the one time Lia acted upon it she was drunk and Zeke didn’t hold her to it).
Present day Lia must be married by her 28th birthday to inherit her beloved grandma Esther’s estate. Zeke to the rescue when Lia’s POS fiancé bails out on their wedding day.
I loved it, the chemistry, the friendship, the sex (once they figured it out).
It’s a pun updated, slightly revised storyline, but the enhancements are well worth it.

A sweet friends to lovers romance is always fun! First, I LOVE JS Scott and am honored to be able to review my arc. As with all of Jan's other books, you can feel the tension, heartache and sexual chemistry right off the pages! I would've read this little gem in one sitting but, dang it, I have a job. Boo! Zeke and Lia were absolutely adorable. Years spent fighting their attraction all in the name of keeping a true and genuine friendship. I wanted to complain that it wasn't longer but then I realized it was the book version of a delicious cupcake...sweet, delicious and perfectly sized. And, I won't ruin it for you, but the twist at the end will truly make you put your hand on your heart and say "AWWW!" out loud!

Seeing what is best is right in front of you is difficult for a lot of people. They need to step back and really look at what is going on around them. Sometimes other can see what you can't. Needing to be married before her 28th birthday Lia gets left at the alter 1 week before her birthday. Her best friend offers to marry her so she can collect her inheritance. They have both been in love with each other for years but neither admits it. Zeke needs Lia to figure out the he loves her and wants her forever. He gives her everything she loves and slowly she figures out that her reality is the best thing ever. She has a jellybean habit that he helps with. Such a cute story.
