When the case of a murdered young mother goes cold, police detective Michael Cooper is willing to try anything to breathe new life into the investigation, even if that means bringing in a ghost whisperer. Enter Abby Craig. Abby quickly stumbles across a dark entity at the murder scene and worries that not only is it responsible for the woman’s death, but that it is just beginning its reign of terror. Meanwhile, Abby spends many sleepless nights chasing a shadowy figure through a maze of ancient, narrow streets in a faraway land. She is hoping that it’s simply a series of unsettling dreams, but she will soon find out that there is much more to the story. Abby Craig senses something terrible is coming. And she’s not wrong.
Jools Sinclair lives and writes in the in-between world of Bend, Oregon, where sunlight kisses snow, mountains reach for the desert, and long summer days cascade into night. She watches it all, perched atop her butte, with her giant orange cat.
This book was recommended by another cozy author. Once into it I couldn’t stop reading. What did help was to go on amazon and read previews from earlier books to find out what happened to Abby as a teen and how she developed the ability to see ghosts.
Jools Sinclair I didn’t think you could break my heart anymore than you did with 44 book #9. But today you did a damn good job. I was thinking I need to read the 44 series again. Chasing the ghost is a fantastic book. I loved it. Should be 10 stars as far as I’m concerned.
Jools Sinclair doesn't disappoint with Chasing the Ghost. Abbey Craig has her own business as a real life ghost buster if thats what you want to call it. I loved the 44 series and now that Abby Craig has things more under control she's better then ever. This book has it all, ghosts, her sister Kate her friends and more. I laughed and cried with Abby. Chasing the Ghost is now on my reread list. Its just that great. Thank you Joel's and I hope to see more of Abby Craig. Fantastic
I have been enthralled with Abby Craig’s story since the first paragraph of the first 44 book, and Jools Sinclair hasn’t disappointed since. This latest book is no exception. Great characters and excellent, timely storyline.
I have followed the character Abby Craig from the beginning. Every book is thrilling, compassionate and you can't help but to form a connection with every character like your part of the family. This book has a surprising twist which will leave you feeling more connected then ever! I'm anxiously waiting for the next book continuing the life of Abby Craig!
I enjoyed the book. It’s been a long time since I’ve read an Abby Craig book, so it took me a bit to familiarize myself with the characters. I’m happy she’s moving on. I enjoyed the murder mystery part. I did not care for the secondary storyline. I read to escape reality not be reminded of it. Overall I’m happy with the book.
Jools Sinclair is an author I came to love thanks to her 44 series and when that series ended I hoped to see more stories based around the lead characters and thankfully this is exactly what this book offers. This is another high quality story with twists and turns that match the high standards Jools has set over the years and is very much worth reading.
This was my first book by Abby Craig. I really liked her writing. I could hardly put it down ! I also liked the short chapters too.I enjoy mystery & romance together to.Great read !
Jools Sinclair has done it again, another can't put it down Abby Craig mystery. Abby is being stalked by an angry ghost who will not reveal who killed her and we are all left on the edges of our seats wondering who did it? Jools masterfully introduces new characters, suspects, old favorites and twists and turns. Loved this book and highly recommend it to all.
