I have not read many romantic comedies but I am glad I read this one. One Monsoon in Mumbai is a perfect blend of romance, thriller, and humor.

One Monsoon in Mumbai is a story is about a female spy going undercover, working as an employee in an IT firm, to collect evidence against a corrupt minister. When the spy tries to woo the boss to get closer to the evidence, she is repeatedly thwarted by the officer in charge of cybersecurity. What follows next is a fun ride, full of comedy of errors, romance and humor.

At the heart of it, One Monsoon in Mumbai, is a well-crafted romantic story, full of emotions and lighter moments but it also has many unexpected twists and turns which keep the story interesting. The story is light-hearted and fun from the very beginning. The complex web of lies and love stories gets even more complex with the introduction of new characters and new plot twists. The story gets more fun in the second half with many humorous as well as intense moments and is capped by a satisfying climax.

The principal characters in this book all stand out. Each with their unique motivations backed by genuine backstories, which added depth to the story. Every character was flawed in some way, having some imperfection, which made them realistic. The dialogues were informal and suited to each character.

Overall, One Monsoon in Mumbai is a very well written story in terms of plot and characters. If you are looking for a romantic comedy with a substance, you will enjoy this book.

I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

A great story, and an excellent page turner or a book. The book has great characters and characters development. One thing I really liked was that no character in this story was perfect, it is these imperfections/flaws that make thus character realistically relatable and likeable. The great thing about the mix of the characters is the complete each other, the learn and grow from each other.

I like the touches of Hinglish, the Hindi words tranliterated into English at the right moments giving this book an extra layer of authenticity. Another great thing about this is I think it is a great representation of modern Indian society the traditional Vs modern values, with the secret taboos that are not spoken of but do exist. The respect within and between families but the secret infighting that goes on.

I think there is still more that can be done with these characters as many of them a long journey and many trials, trubulations and success still to come. I think this is an amazing story and would be interested in any spinoffs or sequels.

***** Book provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. *****

A gorgeous book with all that's needed to keep it out of hand: romance, mystery, adventure, humor.
The characters are very clear sketched, with qualities and flaws that make them more real. The writer has talent and attention to detail that gives you the feeling that you are there now, not in your living room sofa, but it does not exaggerate to get you bored.
A story that begins with a very serious investigation to unveil a corrupt minister, continues with a very fine romantic story and ends with a series of unexpected events.

Thank you Anitha for trusting me with your work!!

When I picked this book up, my expectations were not high. One page into the book and I realised that for a debut author, Perincherry's language is polished and she has a flair with her writing style. She begins the novel with a realistic depiction of the city of Mumbai where the novel is set in :

" Mumbai, a puzzle of a city, put together with jagged pieces of wildly fruitful dreams and shattered hopes. Here, some gambled for fame and fortune, some looted, some cut throats. They called it business."

Such a strong opening is bound to draw you in right? I looked at the passage in disbelief weighing the heavy realities summed up into a few words. Although the genre of the novel is Rom com and it eventually loses the intensity of the starting lines, these lines are no less imoactful than literary masterpieces. Which is probably why to sum up, I think One Monsoon in Mumbai showed a great potential- especially that of the author in the language she wields.

Adhith and his father, the Finance Minister are prime suspects of Income Tax Department - they have been apparently looting tax payers money in crores and Seema Rawat is sent as an undercover agent to collect evidence and reveal their fallacies. Although the book classifies as a Rom com it does not get overly cheesy which is one of the most commendable things about this novel.

Seema is clearly the primary protagonist of this novel and her character has been built with a strong background - something that often authors miss. Whatever her present is has been shaped by her past that she is not so proud of. She is rebellious and shares a complicated relationship with her aunt. In a few chapters you come to realise that all her life she has tried to escape from her aunt but found herself with her due to her circumstances. However, they clearly care for each other - it is the unspoken issues between them that probably give rise to the coldness that often prevails between them. Her relationships with Adhith and Vikram are quite strange - and often she fails to draw her boundaries as an undercover agent. However, that is only human.

They undergo several turmoils in the course of the novel and it is clear within the first half that Vikram and Seema make the better match. Meanwhile, Adhith has announced marrying Seema to his father - without any consultation with her. Come to think about it, that is not the only thing that fails to make sense in the novel. I am intrigued by how Seema manages to become Adhith's girlfriend in the first place. Regarding Vikram slowly revealing his concern for Seema- it almost seems forced because there is no major action that leads to the result. The minor events are not convincing enough - and in the pursuit of giving Seema the spotlight we hardly see any other female character who plays a significant role. Sure, there are a few more characters but their names aren't even notable.

To like this novel you have to be in mood for romance.  With no doubt , Vikram is certainly anyone's dream guy. He is caring, he is cute, he is smart and responsible. In the scenes where he is present with Adhith you can clearly sense their contrast - and it almost shocks me how Seema could even act to like the guy. Sure, he is not a villain maybe but he is still quite - to put it in a word- useless. His character does things that makes me want to throw a chair at him and I am sure the author intended to build the character this way for certain reasons and I liked that the author has done a great job with the characters.

Let's talk about the plot of the book - while it is laid down from the very first chapter what the intent of the protagonist is- thus mapping out the plot of the book, it does have it's own twists in the book. Romance is accompanied by working for social factors and never do we find any of the characters forsake their career for their love. If anything, love propels them towards working harder and achieving more important goals and that is one of the best parts about this book. I am glad to not have read yet another Rom com where the characters found love and left the world for it.

The plot seems linear but while paying close attention I was often confused by the flow of the story and thought that it could have been more polished if the author could have revised it a few times or sent it to an editor. However, that doesn't mean that the plot is bad - it is a complex plot with three characters facing their own problems and for a debut author capturing all these intricacies is definitely quite difficult. Seema is always depicted as a character bothered by her past and so are the ones around her and that shapes all their lives indirectly or directly. She herself is an extremely imperfect character- although she often tries to convince herself that she is capable and strong in several events through the plot. I like the way the author uses events to provide her character sketch instead of plainly stating how she is.

Overall, we could conclude that One Monsoon in Mumbai is very well formed in terms of language, plot and characterisation but lacks polish and clarity at some portions. For a first time this is commendable and I am sure that the author Anitha Perincherry is yet to attain her full potential - and this work is a promising preface to what she is yet to deliver. My rating: 4.5 Stars!

A fun romantic comedy with a heroine with something to prove, even if her methods are a little quirky and her overbearing aunt is determined to micromanage all she is doing. Who knew she would be blindsided by a handsome cybersecurity guru who just may best her at her own game as he steals her heart?

Seema Rawat is working undercover for India’s government, attempting to expose illegal and underhanded dealings by India’s finance minister. What better way to get to the heart of the matter than through his son as an undercover technician? Little did she know she would catch the eye of his boss and best friend, who just may suspect she is more than she pretends to be. Will it matter?

ONE MONSOON IN MUMBAI by Anitha Perinchery is a delightful romantic comedy filled with flawed characters, witty banter and an unexpected budding romance that could foil all the government is trying to unveil.

A quick, fun read that will bring readers some well-placed chuckles and some romantic sighs, too! These characters have real personality and their world feels alive!

I have always, at one point in time, fallen asleep while reading a romantic book. This is the first book that kept me engaged, kept me from sleeping and actually made me laugh. This is my review of One Monsoon in Mumbai.

The story is based in Mumbai and focuses on four people. An aunt and her niece and two best friends. With a plot set with infiltration, computers, love, lust, and friendship, One Monsoon in Mumbai thrills and creates various degrees of emotion.

Honestly, I did not expect this book to be so good. The amount of research the author must have done to get all the small details is appreciable. The intricate love triangle or to be more precise, love quadrilateral shared between the four characters are intense as well as comical. The author also touches upon disgusting aspects that plague the country such as dirty politicians and child prostitution and this I believe will help generate a wider scale of awareness.

The best part about this book is that every character has an individual story. The main novel is like a river with branched out stories as tributaries. I really enjoyed the book and I enjoyed communicating with the author who was constantly answering my doubts. She's a sweet soul and I thank her for letting me review her book. One Monsoon in Mumbai! Several Monsoons of Reading.

Have you ever picked up a book, thinking, "Another romcom? Ohkay."
And then once you give it a try, you realize, "Nah...not just another romcom..."

One Monsoon in Mumbai is that book.

Synopsis:

Seema Rawat is an IB agent, who gets a job at a cybersecurity firm to collect evidence against a dishonest political leader. She is assigned to woo the politician's son and her boss, the very dashing and charming, Adhith Verma.

Things would have gone just as she and her team had carefully chalked out but alas! Standing in her way is the not-as-handsome-but-still-hot-enough best friend of Adhith aka Vikram, who also happens to be a gifted ethical hacker, and one who would do anything in his power to protect his best friend!
What happens next? Whom or what does Seema choose? Or is there more than what meets the eye? Read the book to find out...

What I liked:
I am usually very, very nitpicky when it comes to romcoms these days. The reason being, nowadays, this genre is mostly about love n cheesy sex, rather than language and plot, not to mention character development. In light of that, One Monsoon in Mumbai comes as a surprise.

The language is impeccable, packed with some solid wit. The climactic scene left me in awe of the writer's skill to intertwine tension and humour so masterfully.

What took me in for a surprise is that, this isn't just another lovestory, but a little bit of everything. There is romance, angst, heartbreak, comedy along with images of harsh social issues which are woven in via backstories for each important character, adding depth and layers to the plot. I wouldnt be surprised if the author chooses to go for more literary ventures in the future, coz she has the talent.
Moreover, this is one of those books that have immense potential for a screen adaptation.

What I didnt like:

There's nothing much to dislike as such, except that the story comes to an end at one point.

Verdict:

If you are looking for a romcom with substance and solid language, this is just the book for you. It will leave you with a warm smile in the end.

5 stars from my side.

Name of the book: One Monsoon in Mumbai
Author: Anitha Perincherry
My Rating: 4.5/5

“One Monsoon in Mumbai” is a romantic comedy with a suspense background. Seema Rawat, the protagonist, is a cyberspy working for the Intelligence Bureau. Her mission is to unravel corruption on part of the Finance Minister who happens to be her boyfriend’s father.

Adhith Verma is an aspiring politician and the son of the Finance Minister. He is a graduate from IIT Mumbai and is well aware of his father’s schemes and his contribution to corruption. However, Adith wants to be a clean politician and make a difference.

Vikram Joshi has anger management issues and a family that doesn’t understand him. He runs the best cybersecurity firm, Imperium, and has goals wider than the sky. His rules include no women. But what will he do when he finds a woman that freezes his senses?

The story is light-hearted and fun from the very beginning. The characters are funny, intelligent and will navigate you through the life of a spy. Situated in Mumbai, the story revolves around Seema Rawat, Adhith Verma and Vikram Joshi. It is a comprehensive plot that involves romance, careers and family troubles.

Things that worked out for me:

Being a fan of rom coms, I loved the entire plot
Badass Indian lead characters you will fall in love with
Convincing spy elements in the book
An easy read

Things that didn’t work out for me:

Few of the chapters ended a little abruptly

Do I recommend this book?

Yes! For everyone who love rom coms with a strong backstory, I’d definitely recommend this one.

One Monsoon in Mumbai offers exactly the mess of contradictions and inconsistencies that characterise one of the world's greatest cities. We have a heroine (?) protecting her virginity whilst wearing outrageously revealing clothes, a plotline of dragging oneself out of the slums and the red light district into the finest technical universities and working for the Intelligence Bureau, and a sappy sort-of love story juxtaposed against a tail of cybersecurity and top-level hacking. We could be forgiven for thinking that it's all trying just a bit too hard.

The funny thing is, though, that it sort of works. It's not realistic. It's not believable. It's full of carbon copy characters and cliches but in spite of all that, it's a bit more endearing than I expected.

I hope it's a stand-alone novel. I am not at all sure I could handle another adventure of this type anytime soon. It's good to see a tough broad heroine with her rose-tinted glasses and her determinations. Her auntie is the least stereotypical character to ever grace the pages of a modern Indian novel but the male characters are very standard. Chop off their heads and it will say 'cliche' through their necks like two sticks of Blackpool rock.

I love Mumbai and I always find it a great city in which to set a novel. It has everything - and most of it in the extreme.

I've read quite a lot of Indian 'popular fiction' - yeah, more Chetan Bhagat than anybody should ever expose themself to and tons more first or early novels by writers trying to cash in on the youth rupees in a society of rapidly gentrifying IT-industry opportunity. This is better than average for its type. The smooching and sexy bits are horribly badly written - but that's very typical of the genre. I mean, is it REALLY necessary to follow and orgasm with a colossal symbolic thunderstorm and the start of the monsoon? It's a corny as the waves crashing on the beach in 'From Here to Eternity', but it's all part of the genre and infinitely preferable to something more squelchy and detailed.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for my copy.

Plot:

Seema Rawat, a 24 year old top graduate from Indian Statistical Institute, is hired by the Intelligence Bureau to mine information about a tax scandal and India’s Finance Minister’s involvement in it. She is sent as a cyberspy to hack into Imperium systems, a cybersecurity firm, where Adhith Verma- the minister’s son works. She poses as his colleague and girlfriend to get as close to his personal devices as possible.

Her biggest hindrance is her overly possessive aunt, Madhubala, whose constant interference in her work might blow her cover off. Her biggest threat is Vikram Joshi, Adhith’s best friend and boss, who is also one of the world’s best ethical hackers.

Review:

A suspenseful and fast paced plot, perfectly punctuated with romance and humour. It seems to be a well researched book. We are given a very convincing account how cybersecurity and IB works. The story is lucidly written and narrated in an almost linear fashion with flashes from the past of every character. No scene seems out of place.

These are well rounded human characters. Author gives them many moments to shine and also moments where they make stupid (and also hilarious) moves. The flaws and relatable stories add depth to them, and invokes our empathy. The first half is cheerfully entertaining. Once we reach around 50-55%, and realize the risk and stakes of failure, the book doubles its grip. I had to read the rest of the book in a single sitting. Without spoiling too much, let me just say that it’s not a love triangle. It’s a love quadrilateral and the tension, and confusion is real at the point where the diagonals intersect.

Extra comments:

Though the plot is unique, this is in a way, the story of every Desi household. The characters want to outperform their family’s expectations, but also want to be free from them. They don’t want to fit in, but want to be accepted. Everyone hates the ways of their elders, but can never renounce them. Every character dreams living life on their own terms.

I can’t think of a more perfect setting for this novel than Mumbai- The city of dreams. The author has shown both sides of it - the affluent and privileged side of South Bombay , and the side that struggles for their survival in the slums and brothels of Grant road, (which is also in South Bombay). Seema, and her auntie, is where both these worlds collide.

Mumbaikars would agree that monsoon is the most chaotic season. The rains bring delayed trains, dangerous potholes, water logged roads, and even more tedious traffic jams. The whole city is in a state of mess. In my opinion the author flips this situation and uses it as a metaphor. The reverse happens in the novel. The characters are stuck in messy situations, and rain brings resolutions. ( Read the novel, and tell me if you agree with this. There are only 2 scenes in the monsoon season, and both of these are life-changing events)

Mumbaikars would also tell you that the worst of rains cannot shut the city down for more than a day. This spirit of looking ahead and moving on is something you see in these characters.

It was great to see the characters evolve from what they were at the start of the book. This book filled me with laughter and left me with positivity. Highly recommended read.

The book's free from a debutant grapple with characterization, their creditials and those creditials interweaved into narration. Thus, the story flows as one, although with its ups and downs, but nevertheless, grabbing the readers veracious attention.

Seema, a cyberspy on a mission to extract information, culminating proof against Adhith and his father (India's finance minister), and needless to mention; keep her identity secret while at it. But, what shall play with love coming into picture?
Vikram, completing the triangle of this Rom-com, and with it bringing his undeniable charisma into the story. Seema, Adhith and Vikarm; assembled by this mission, acquitted in love, but will love or circumstances adjourn their story?

With 'One monsoon in Mumbai' the author has successfully marked her attempt into storytelling and with it shown her appetite for humour running parallely with romance.

My rating: 3.5

ONE MONSOON IN MUMBAI written by Anitha perincherry deals with love, cyber spying and friendship. The authoress also focuses on various social issues like corruption, politics, child prostitution etc.this book is a mixture of thriller and rom com.

The cover and blurb of this book is eye catching and unique. The plot is also interesting. The narration was also quite decorative. It shows the amount of hard work that the authoress put in writing this book. The characters were realistic and each comes with their own completely described back story. Overall, it was a different book and you should all give it a try.

Definitely worth reading!! I enjoyed the banter between the characters and the circumstances that bring everyone together. The beginning was harder to read through because of the extent of the background stories to the characters, but well worth it when the story comes together. I got my complimentary copy from through Voracious Readers Only, and I would recommend this to anyone who likes romance with some real-life comedy.

Okay, Okay, okaaayyy!

Take a seat because this might be a long one.

First of all, thank you Netgalley for a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

There's no doubt that the author is a wordsmith. Even when she is the master of her pen, her words seem very bland. Very distant from the characters. Other than Seema's curls or her brown eyes, I couldn't describe any of the characters mentioned in the book. (Perhaps the henchman? He was described very well in detail!) I wish the narration was better.

There was a lot of purple prose included especially in the first few chapters that got my head spinning. I had to take a few breaks in between with all the information that had been presented to me. Plus that information meshed with the dialogue that the characters had amongst themselves, didn't leave any room for a surprise for me. I couldn't experience their pain, heartbreak, angst, or even love. Though, I should mention it does show an enormous amount of research on the author's part!

The ending was extremely anti-climatic, we spent 90% of the book-building for it, and then... it just didn't deliver it.

The complex relationships introduced seemed futile. They were just names that I didn't want to remember.

Also, as a Mumbaikar, I have a few bones to pick:

1. HOW DID ADHI GET TO A PHONE REPAIR SHOP FROM GATE WAY TO SOMEONE NOT MENTIONED THAT TOOK HIM THIRTY MINUTES!? From Gate Way to somewhere like.... Fort would take minutes! AND THERE WAS A RICKSHAW IN THE BACKGROUND?! No rickshaws are present in South Mumbai!!

2. Why was Madhu always dressed in a Hoodie? In Mumbai's weather where a cotton tunic could just be drenched in sweat from rigorous walks that we USED to take pre-covid.

3. The term "Islamic Terrorists" used in the book for 26/11 terror attacks. Just. NO. I don't know if it was her own bias that seeped into the book?

4. Monsoon scene in the slums seemed extremely superficial, especially with the way young Seema tried to escape

Please, experience our city firsthand. There's more to it than just Gateway or Marine Drive.

Also, the suicide scene. Plus put a trigger warning of any sort. That was something I wasn't expecting and it was sort of explained in detail.

Okay, I think I am done now. It's a 2.8/5 for me, the only reason I finished reading it was the fact it was based in Mumbai.

I don't read much of romance genre but I tried this to get out of my comfort zone. And I wasn't disappointed. This book was really easy to read which made it impossible to put down.

I loved how the book paced, the build up part equally interesting as the climax.

Seema Rawat, such a strong character. The world needs more like her!

The romantic angle. Loved how it evolved. You could feel it since their first encounter.

The backstories! One of the best things I liked about this book. It would give you great insight about the characters and their behaviors.

Thrillers? Who doesn't love them? I was hooked on to the end.

Though I felt that the book was a bit too dramatic at some points for me, and the ending felt a little rushed, but it was overall a great read. Would recommend it to people who love romantic-thrillers. 3.5/5.

Complication: Seema's auntie who is determined to protect her virtue from both men.

Operation: ONE MONSOON IN MUMBAI.

Review: I thought this was a pretty good book. The plot is intriguing and kept me hooked throughout the book, the characters were all well developed, and the writing was pretty good.

However, I didn’t like how each character got a back story. I felt like it was too much development and I would have rather had the time put into the setting and bigger plot points, as there is a lot of information in this book and some of it did go over my head. This also focuses heavily on the romance, which isn’t for me.

Verdict: If you like political romance thrillers, this is for you!

My Take:

Set in the "City never Sleeps" Mumbai this is a story of Seema Rawat, a beautiful, intelligent, spy who is on a mission. After having battled a rather torrid childhood and a difficult life she is tough as a cookie. Hell bent in proving herself and craving a niche of her own.

Adith Verma has it all. A famous life, a connected father and easy life. He works with his BFF Vikram Joshi, whose family of doctors have not been very accommodating with his choice of career. Working hard to make it big on his own he is superb at his job.

What happens when their worlds collide? Everyone is pretending and hiding their own feelings. With a love triangle and a probable quadrangle, confusion and ego getting better of them will they be able to realize their feelings and accept what their hearts desire.

The way the characters are introduced and their stories blend makes this a breezy easy read. The book captures you from the word go. A myriad of emotions. The family members of all the characters are also given a decent detailing. They all connect to the story well. Nothing or no one sounds out of place. A sprinkle of comedy makes you laugh. The funny situations are written nicely.

I would rate this 4/5 . Do pick this up and you wont regret reading this. A simple story with a tadka of suspense, romance, friendship, family and of course humor.

Book Review
One Moonsoon in Mumbai by @anithaperinchery

Well moonsoons and Mumbai together is a cult in itself and this book with its heavy concotion of love triangle, politics, cyber spying and of bitter pasts matches up to its title!

True to the title , the book is set in Mumbai and concerns the life of Seema , a pick pocket turned spy with Aunt Madhu as driving force!

As an undercover spy Seema is assigned to collect some information about a politician who is a quack.

Seema joins the firm of Adith Verma, son of finance minister who s boss is Vikram Joshi. Not only boss, Vikram is also his friend and a pro in the cyperspace.

Well, both guys fall for her and Madhu aunty, obviously has to interfere to protect Seema from loosing her virtue!

The rest is a race and desires to be read!

Writing is fluid, fast paced and with a brilliant rom com style humour thrown in. It makes you sad at a point, gives you hope and also puts you seats edge at points.Characters are really well developed, unlike a lot of books, for which the author should take credit.

I thank the author for a copy in exchange of honest review.

A little proofreading will improve the quality of the book!

Seema Rawat is a genius with IT systems and should have been a shoe-in for a top job when she graduated. However, her lowly birth in the slums of Mumbai counts against her and the only job she can get is for the Intelligence Bureau (IB) where her auntie Madhubala works. Her first big assignment is to go undercover to work for the Finance Minister's son Adhith's company to try and uncover proof of widespread corruption. With a fake history and cover story Seema gets a job and soon catches Adhith's eye with her good looks and shy persona (so very different from her real personality), but although he may look like a male model it is Adhith's best friend Vikram who catches Seema's eye.

Can Seema keep Adhith dangling while falling for Vikram and crack the case?

This book was fun to read, the comedy value of a cyberspy whose auntie keeps interfering in her investigation and the jealousy between Vikram and Adhith cannot be understated. When Adhith falls for Seema's auntie it becomes a French farce (Indian farce?) which reaches its zenith at Vikram's parents' wedding anniversary party.

If you want a charming, funny, romance then I highly recommend this.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

One Monsoon is Mumbai is a story about Seema Rawat,a cyberspy, her aunt Madhu and two friends named Adith and Vikram.
It is a romance thriller which has all the elements to make it an interesting read.

The plot is intriguing and the twists keep the readers in edge for the whole time. I loved how the story is infused with secret plottings and how each and every character has their own back story which they're trying to keep hidden from the others. Inspite of the close relation formed between these four characters they are not fully ready to divulge all their truths to each other until the very end.

The family ties, relationships and friendships shown in the book adds to the beauty of the storyline. The author also tried to highlight the scams and the crimes in the politics. I loved how she bring forth the fact that not everyone in politics is bad through the character of Adith. He was a genuine person and even went against his father to make things right and rectify the mistakes his father has committed. The author beautifully portrayed two relationships and showed how class boundaries and age are just societal norms and they shouldn't come in between two people in love.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and would like to appreciate the author for writing this beautiful story. Also thank you to the author for providing me this copy for an honest review.

I picked this book because I never read cyber suspense and romance kind of genre (like two things In one single packet), but I was actually impressed with this one. The beauty of this book is how easily it deals with the topic of gay marriages in a country like India and still keeping everything simple as per the story is a concern. The book also represents parents in a better way, in a society that is not supportive of the LGBTQ+ community

When I started this book, I have a little idea and I was only looking forward that how will Seema, a cyber spy would be able to do the job and save the day, which was the main task in this book but how the author portrays various characters and weaved a phenomenon story with each other it’s just remarkable. Mostly authors tried but they got distracted with the actual message they want to convey. I felt that the story gets a bit slower in the middle, a little dragged too. But that was also going well with the flow of the story, the only thing I didn’t like about this book was its cover, which gives me a Bollywood masala story vibes.

If someone looking forward to reading a romantic comedy with a message in it just go for it.

Rating - 4.7 out of 5
Lead character - Seema (Cyberspy),Madhu(Seema's aunt), Adith and Vikram.

Let's start with cover and it's amazing and (One nerdy hero, One dashing villain, one interfering auntie. Life's complicated for seema) seems like a Bollywood movie trailer that strike you again and again to read this tremendous work by anithaperinchery. To be honest you can read this book in one sitting (like you can watch Bollywood movie) again and again
This book force me to repeat Bollywood word due to the story plot and twist and
It seems like you going through a roller coaster ride ups and downs
But along with that it's shows us the reality of today's world

Drawbacks
After complete this in one night you gonna say this is so Short roller coaster ride and we want to enjoy more then this. (I do read this again).

Protagonist of story is Seema Rawat. I applaud her character as a cyber spy. Author had done good job she portrayed Seema character in joyful and fanciable way representing both potent and fragile surface of her life. Writing style is amazing and I found it joyful. Characters are developed in stunning way. Story is page turner with intriguing plot. Narration is lucid. Language is simple and writing style is pro.

Title : The title of book measure up to plot of story.

Cover : The cover of book is decent gives bollywood vibes but it can be better than this.

A breezy, fun read

This book actually reminded me of a few Bollywood comedy/rom-coms. It was fast-paced and fun, and the smile that remained throughout on my lips broke into a chuckle a few times. The characterizations were not deep or RL believable, but I think it’s meant to be fun rather than philosophical anyway. The best part about the book was that everyone was reduced to being ridiculous at some point or the other. The only con was a rather too rosy end. But it’s a fun read that I would recommend.
