This was ok. It’s short and steamy AF, without much of a plot.
Sydney is basically a stud for hire. He gets paid to “help” omegas through their heat. Allie is fast approaching her first heat, so she hires him to lend a helping hand (and other body parts). I found some parts of this book weird, awkward, and clinical. Allie has to see a doctor and sign a contract in order to hire Sydney. Then she tells her mom about it, who then proceeds to send her off on a one week f**k fest with a virtual stranger. Allie’s mom thinks it’s a good idea for Allie to take Mr. Bear, a.k.a. Allie’s teddy bear, on her sexcapades. Did I mention Allie is 19 years old?! Awkward!
After that weird exchange, there’s really not much more to this than Allie and Sydney boning nonstop. Then, it’s wham, bam, thank you ma’am, and Sydney off to help his next omega in need. I would have enjoyed this a hell of a lot more if there was more of a connection between h and H and at least a HFN, if not a HEA.

Wow, HOT. Like, I was fairly certain I was having a hot flash, but no, it was this book. I was not super happy with the ending... until I realized it had a sequel, already out, and I could one click the heck on that, too. DO THAT. I'm into the next book and it's so lovely, gives the POV of Sidney. <3

While the overall concept was cute, I found the dialogue and writing to be very dry and clinical, and I didn't really feel the alpha energy from 24-year-old heat helper Sidney at all. I also thought the reactions of a 19-year-old omega virgin with her first heat weren't very believable.
As other reviews noted, this wasn't really a true romance, as the two of them separated to their own ways after the heat ended, and it was purely a professional transaction.

I was totally ignorant of the Omegaverse subgenre, but still enjoyed this a lot. So that says a lot about the writer's ability to create a world that stands on its own. The two main characters are sweet and caring but they do have an amazing week of sexual discovery together. Cassidy's style flows nicely and creates an easy read.
So, if you're looking for a great introduction to Omegaverse, I guess this is it.
And if you're wondering, why 4 and not 5 stars... I'm hard to get.

This was a hot novella and I have to give the author props for writing the first omega verse story I truly enjoyed. Sidney was respectable and genuine while Allie was convincing as a college student on the cusp of growing up. Lovely storytelling.
The only reason for four stars instead of five is because of how many times it was repeated that Sidney smelled like cloves and citrus. Once or twice was perfect. Every time she smelled him it was repeated and made me start skimming.

Read it this morning, not sure whether to give four or five stars. I liked it a lot, but it was short, and therefore not as satisfying as a full story. I guess I'm settling for four stars.
I liked how Sidney is big on consent and he tries to get Allie to "use words" and ask for what she wants, because although he may be able to read her body language, consent shouldn't be implied and she may also have other sexual partners in future who can't read her well, so she needs to learn to articulate what she would like from her partner. He's so careful with her and invites her to explore without judgement, since it's not just her first heat but also the first time she's having sex. The way he takes care of her is any woman's dream, not just an omega's!
Why I said it's not a full story: It's literally just about them getting together to assuage her heat, so it spans a week and that's it. She signs a contract with him for this purpose, so theirs is a business relationship, and although it feels like they really connected during that week, he is a "Heat Helper" so he sleeps with lots of others too, whenever his services are required by other omegas in heat. So it's sort of like... he's a male escort, in a sense? He talks about his "work" in an altruistic way (because heat can be very debilitating for omegas and they need someone who understands what they'll need during that time, as it's the period when they're most vulnerable) but still, basically he's paid to have sex with women, although this is not his main job (he's a male nurse at the omega clinic).
I loved it enough to get the series because I wanted to see more of Allie and Sidney together.

Loved this! The writing was everything. It was addicting, fast-paced, concise, and so easy to read. I couldn’t put it down. This was such a fun, sweet, hot, feel-good read, and it make me smile and just feel happy. I loved the pacing, the story, the dialogue and banter, the omegaverse plot and details included in the story, the smut, the FMC (Allie) and MMC (Sidney), their chemistry, and how they were with each other. I immediately connected with them. They were so sweet together and were such great characters. This was in third-person POV (limited; FMC only), which I’m usually not a fan of and avoid, as I prefer and am more used to first-person, but I really loved how the third-person was done in this book (just like with Heat Play Love by this author, which I absolutely adored and loved). It didn’t give me the disconnect I usually feel when reading from third-person POV. Overall, this was so well done, and was such a great read. Now onto book two — can’t wait to see how things play out between them.😊

It was fine.
i couldn't decide what rating to select for this story 3 or 4, decided on lower mark. Why?
it's 100% my issue, i was not aware that:
1 - it's a series. but books/novella are kinda small 70-90pages each.
2 - i was not happy with the ending of this story. i got the idea, but i felt like it was kinda drama for drama in a wrapper of normality and expectations.
3 -mix of 1&2, i think this should have been a part of one book with all novellas, cause there was not so much going on in terms of plot, but nicely written smut intrigued me. and i was interested in this story, still have some questions but they possibly will be answered in next books.
4 - i'm not sure that i will read the second and third novellas. There are a big descriptions of each book so i caught spoilers and..if a book is around 85pages and you know almost whole plot? need to wait for THE MOOD to read the rest.

Good for what it is, but not a match for me
What this is: a very short omegaverse story with several sex scenes, a virgin heroine, and a sweet and caring alpha.
What this doesn’t have: Much talking that isn’t dirty. The dynamics between alphas and omegas in this world are neither shown nor told…because that’s not really what the book is about. The book is about two strangers who are drawn by each other’s pheromones having sex.
All the chemistry relies on scent/physical/sexual compatibility. They cover job titles and food preferences, and that’s it. It all feels very transactional….which…makes sense. He is a legal prostitute, and he isn’t ready to leave his job because she’s special. There’s no happy ending here. (Their story does pick up in the next book 5 years later, but I didn’t get very far because I wasn’t all that invested in their relationship.)

Allie is a sweet and very naive omega who is not happy with that designation. She is seeking help for her first heat and meets Sidney. He is an alpha and helps her through her first time. The two seem to click and the physical attraction is there. This is just a job for Sidney and while it was obvious he enjoyed their time, he was not emotionally connected to her. Allie was a bit awkward which I liked because it was real and believable given this situation. I did feel she was pretty immature and a bit dramatic given her age. Overall I enjoyed that it had some nice spice and was a short read.

I'm not reading many M/F books. RH is more to my taste. And my second favorite genre is Omegaverse. And it doesn't matter, if it's RH or M/F.
So, I had this novella on my list a long time. Because of the length, I didn't expect much. Plot wise, that is. Steamy, sexy times? That was what I expected. And I was right. One strange beginning, but after that it's a whole week of one sex event to the next. The chemistry between the two is good.
The ending was okay for me, because I knew beforehand that there is a sequel and that's not the end of the story between the two.

I really enjoyed this, one-sitting read.
Yes, it doesn't have the raw carnality and dubious or no consent of a lot of omegaverse stories, but for anyone needing an introduction to the genre. I would highly recommend it.
I loved that it was set in modern times and not a barren wasteland version of the earth.
Sidney is a complete dream come true, and Allie is a bubbling ball of nerves who accepted her fate by the end of the story.

He pushes her out of her comfort zone and they really enjoy and like each other but after her heat they have to go their separate ways. Sad. They have a great connection but she’s his client.

Cinnamon roll alpha-lovers rejoice! This book contains one named Sidney who is top notch.
Omega Allie is new to having a heat (and anything involved in it) and utilizes an Alpha agency to help her through her first one. She lucks out with a perfect match who is very caring. This book is like a hug in that aspect and I enjoyed seeing Allie and Sidney interact.
This is a good intro book to omegaverse if you are new to it.

Sheer Escapism
Just sheer satisfying escapism, sensitively written and enjoyable. Mix a shy virginal omega in her first heat and a trained sensual contracted nurse whose job it is to assist with omegas in heat and you get one hell of a story. It’s not really romance as such but in another way if romance can happen in a limited time with defined beginnings and ends it is. Either way it was very enjoyable.

This book was recommended to me, it wasn’t something specific to my taste but I wanted to see it through and make sure this author got her page count. 😊 I wasn’t a huge fan of some of the repeated words in this book and I had a hard time understand what the main objective of the book was supposed to be about aside from the very obvious. If you’re interested in straight smut this is a great book for you!

I can't wait to read what happens next because these two can't be finished. I'll be crushed if this is it. This is straight up er*tica with zero plot. It feels like it was written by a high schooler and FMC was irritating and immature. I get it’s the innocent trope but she didn’t act innocent, she acted immature.
And the word ‘smirk’ was used about ten times in 76 page book. Overused words always results in the loss of a star in my rating, otherwise I’d probably give three stars. The MMC used similar phrasing throughout as well.

i really enjoyed this book! it really hit the spot for a ‘it’s 2am and i should really go to bed soon…’ kind of night. great for when you’re just craving some desperation in your FMC & looking for a sweet doting alpha. only 4-starring because it wasn’t very memorable or outstanding in the grand scheme of things.

Perfect
Even though this was short, it was exactly what I was looking for in a book like this. I love omegaverse, but I don’t love when first interactions are out of the mind with hormones. This book handled that perfectly. Then, with the added humor which made laugh, it was a perfect combination of sweet and spice.

Fun and sweet!
This was such a sweet and spicy read. I love the idea of an omega nervous about her first heat, never having been kissed. I love that this first in the series ends with a bittersweet parting for them, but they both know the score and understand everything as it is. I will definitely be continuing on with the next story.
