They said no man could keep them apart. But what about a dark omen?Ewan Brodie knew since he was a boy that he would marry Abigail Drummond when she would turn eighteen. While Ewan is trying to cope with his grief, Abigail's father comes to him with the deathblow; his marriage with Abigail is off! It appears that the deaths mean much more than everyone thought at first, as they perfectly fit with an old dark omen which predicts a fruitless marriage and sorrow for both clans. Ewan feels that he has been hit by lightning and tries to find the spiritual man that spoke of this disastrous omen.Abigail has loved Ewan ever since she was a young lass, and she cannot accept the terrible news. To make things worse, in order to ensure an alliance with his clan, a marriage will now be arranged between her and Ewan's cousin! Unfortunately, Ewan learns that the events that happened are precisely the ones described in the omen, but he is determined not to give up. However, while they try to fight for their love, Abigail is hurt and almost loses her life after an unfortunate event, and even Ewan begins to think that the dark omen might actually be true...They two begin to wonder if it is selfish to risk their lives so that they can fulfill their own desires. Gripping and Suspenseful! I love when a book grips me and takes me on a heart stopping journey as in Highlander's Cursed Moon. Ewan world is turned upside down when he is told he can't mary Abby, the one he has loved for years. Abby is heartbroken when she learns her father cancelled her wedding because of a long forgotten prophecy of ill omens to befall them. As a diabolical villain is slowly spinning a web with all the violence, danger, and deceit in this action-packed rollercoaster ride full of suspenseful twist and turns that will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat until the very end! Adamina Young has outdone herself with this novel, she has given readers a book that is well-written, filled it with characters that come to life as you find yourself drawn into their story, with a strong plott, remarkable emotions and good dialogue. Abby and Ewan's story unfolds with all the drama, passion, mystery betrayal, grief, trials and tribulations, and while the lies builds and tensions escalate and desperation abounds that makes this one outstanding story!
Unlucky Charms Adamina Young's latest book is full of mystery, superstition, suspense and romance. Ewan and Abigail, the main characters, have had nothing but heartache and bad luck every since their wedding preparations. Abigail's father has declared Ewan's family cursed and denied him the right to wed Abigail. This book was so mesmerizing, it was hard to put down. Highly recommended and absolutely a MUST read!
Adamina has written a story that is delightful but also has its share of mystery and deception. Ewan is looking forward to finally marrying his lifelong sweetheart, but his father died during the preparations. Shortly after Abby’s mother passed away. All the plans were put on hold. Is this the result of an ancient curse?
Adamina did a good job on this storyline. Ewan and Abigail met as children and she told him that she was going to marry him. A series of events threatens to put an end to their dreams. Will they get their HEA? I would definitely recommend this book to anyone over 18 due to some steaminess. I received this ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I have freely written here

Fate isn't always running our lives. As someone said: Destiny gives the cards, but you are the one playing them. The main characters of the book want to play the cards they've been dealt, even if they don't look good.
