This was kind of disappointing for me. I thought the characters were cute, but also kind of stereotypical and they didn’t really stick with me. I also thought the writing was kind of hard to follow at times with the flashbacks, and some dialogue parts I was confused on who was even speaking? So I guess the story telling style just didn’t really work for me even though I thought the characters were cute and I liked their chemistry.

if you like heartstopper by alice oseman, you’ll love sasaki and miyano!

so glad this finally got an official english translation.. and now we patiently wait for the anime to drop.....

The boys are very cute, but I just can't stand this episodic way of storytelling in manga. I was also a little confused by the first volume, because the flashbacks were so out of order?

i recently watched the anime and thought it was the cutest sh*t ever. and yeah the manga is JUST AS CUTE. if you love high school soft romance stories, definitely read sasaki and miyano. plus it's super funny as well!!!

Pocas veces leo mangas porque aveces se me complica acostumbrarme de nuevo a todo en blanco y negro (a comparación de los manhwas que mayormente leo y todo es a color). También aveces se me olvida que se lee al contrario -.-' (de derecha a izquierda y no de izquierda a derecha como en webtoons). El punto es que aunque al inicio me toma un poco volver a acostumbrarme igual termino por disfrutar y amar por completo los pocos mangas que he leído. Estos nuevos bebés que llegaron a mi vida este año no son la excepción, ya me he encariñado con ellos de inmediato ♡

3.5 Stars. This was a cute BL manga that focuses on the "bad boy" Sasaki who ends up catching feelings for the more reserved Miyano. I thought it was pretty unique that Harusono crafted a BL manga that focuses on two guys who both enjoy BL manga. It was cute watching Miyano introduce Sasaki to the world of BL manga. Miyano is more shy about his love for it while Sasaki has this aura of genuine curiosity where he's not ashamed to ask questions or discuss his enjoyment of it. The back and forth between the two is something that I'm definitely going to continue to enjoy. The major hick up that I have with this initial installment is the time jumps. The way that the panels are designed makes it extremely hard to tell when readers are in the past and present and that caused a certain level of confusion. Overall, this was a solid first installment and I will be continuing with the series. I already have volumes 2 and 3 checked out from the library.

I've been seeing this whole series at my library and thought today was the perfect day to start it!! + if you see me spamming your feed with the first 5 in the series... it's not my fault. 🤧

overall i had high expectations because for some reason my head started filling in the gaps and made me think that this was a "Dakaichi" re-telling of sorts (😭) and when it turned out not to be I was a little disappointed. BUT! nevertheless I thought it was amazingly done! the drawing style was so beautiful, the characters were likable, the plot is nice and it's short enough to binge a few from the series in one day! (or easy for me at least)

I recommend it to anyone who likes high school, slice of life BL!! 🫂

Very cute, but the continuity threw me off a little, because sometimes I would think it was a flashback or something, but it was actually the present. I like these four panel comics the more I read them. They're a really fast read I can't wait to read the next few volumes and seeing how their relationship develops.

I liked this even more the second time. I think I understood the continuity a bit more, but it's still a bit disjointed. Makes sense since it was originally just some short comics the author was uploading on pixiv. I love Sasaki a lot more on the second read. What a precious bean! I'm excited to finally pick up the second volume after it's been sitting on my shelf for a while.

Ahhh my BOYS! Reading further into the series, coupled with the anime has low key turned this series into an obsession for me. I love them so much. This series has become such a comfort watch/read. I absolutely adore them. The anime helped a lot with understanding what was a flashback and what was the present so I'm no longer confused.

This series is so sweet and wholesome and fun. I'm going to read these side by side while I rewatch/finally finish the anime. And I can't wait to get into the light novels. I hope those get an english publication soon too.

This first volume started off a bit confusing because I feel like the flashbacks/timeline were really throwing me off (we start in present time and then flashback but constantly to different points in the past and sometimes we'd go from a flashback straight into another flashback but a little earlier/later in time) and it got really confusing at a few parts. BUT once it got past that, the end of this volume was really strong and I'm excited to try the next one.

I will say I'm really hoping this doesn't drag on for too long - I know this is several volumes long and I really hope its not just pining that entire time.

Augh, they are all so precious!! I love this so much! I love just how smitten Sasaki is to Miyano!! This is too much fluffy, kind of what I need after reading a tragic novel 💓 By the way, so would I have a chance to peek at Kagi on the future volumes? I really love that guy! Hahahaha

This was adorable. I love the boys so much. But, like others have already said, it was confusing at times. There are a few flashbacks but the story never specifies when they are occurring so I was like wtf is going on. But other than that, I loved it, the art is amazing.

Is my first read of 2022 a BL manga? Yes.
Am I ashamed of it? No.

Anyway this was pretty decent. But people do say this series gets better each volume, so I'm gonna continue reading this even if the first volume was a bit confusing with all of the time jumps...

Update: read this again but watched the anime at the same time and it's way less confusing this way! Also great way to catch up with my reading goal...

Another update: used this manga as a replacement for another manga I read that isn't on Goodreads for some reason... This way I can make it count towards my Goodreads goal!

I just started watching the anime and I run out of episodes, so I decided to read the manga because this is just so cute 😍 I love the story and art and just everything! This was exactly what I needed a fluffy cute story! I'm officially obsessed! Also, Miyano is just so adorable, I feel like my heart is gonna melt into a puddle when he blushes. Finally, the romance between him and Sasaki senpai is just adorable. Can't wait to read more!
