I liked this follow-up to The County Murders. I enjoyed mapping everything on Google Maps and learning about the Fleet Islands.

Although it took a few chapters for me to get interested and involved with this book, turns out I really enjoyed it. It's a cold case murder mystery of sorts, but really, it's a story about people. The author has created such compelling characters I found myself by the third chapter unwilling to put the book down. People in this book are flawed, but not to the point you don't care about them....they're just like you and me and our friends and neighbours.

I hope there's another book in this series.

David Carpenter was introduced to me by my cousin. I read the County Murders which I enjoyed. This is the sequel. The second was also good.
