Just when I think things are finally starting to calm down, I come face-to-face with my long-lost twin.
Turns out, being a Daughter of Death is a whole lot more than just kicking ass and taking names.

There are things like rules...and responsibilities.
Oh yeah, and let’s not forget the monster that’s killed me in all my past lives. That’s a thing, too.

There’s also this teensy little problem: James may be gone but the distrust he created in the supernatural community is still very much alive. With the tensions between Council members bleeding into Farrow’s Sqaure it’s only a matter of time until someone does something crazy.

Now I gotta figure out what my twin wants, learn about my super badass death powers, kill a monster, and stop a war. Sounds like a piece of cake. Speaking of cake...

This whole thing started over a Hostess cupcake. Do I dare hope it can end with one?
You bet your ass, I do.

This is the last book in the Grimm Brotherhood series. This series must be read in order.

Keep your eyes out for a spicy short story about Tamsin and Dom. It'll be available in a Grimm Brotherhood boxset that includes all three novels, the exclusive short story, and new cover art.

This collection *should* be coming to you Winter 2020.

Salem's lookalike showed up at the end of the previous book, saying her name is Thana. This time around she's saying they're sisters and that she's the only one who can protect Salem from what's coming.

Even though Salem herself is a lousy liar, she can tell Thana isn't telling her the full truth and decides to keep an eye on her while preventing a supernatural war in the process.

SO.
SO.
SO.
SO.

1. Graves and Salem didn't get that dinner...but at least Salem got more cupcakes.

2. Shep the blue demon sheep seems to have ditched that form all together. You will be missed, cutest form I've ever seen.

Now for the rest.

I just love how cute Salem and Graves are amidst all the chaos. AND SHEP'S SPYING HAHAHA.

Shep in general, I'm so glad. I love him.

Esme keeps amazing me. Petition for an Esme spin off!!! And that secret lover of hers? Where does he get all the cool trinkets I wonder?

I support Dom moving up in the world, and Tamsin too. But when do they get together? I NEED ANSWERS.

Thana was so annoying, dear God. I wanted her gone from the first moment. I think she and James would've made a good pair.

The whole Death thing was familar but fresh. Familiar like it makes sense but fresh like not many authors do it, you know? I also totally see where Salem gets it from.

Plot wise, it's good that Thana didn't have the time to fully start the next apocalypse, NOT THAT SHE DIDN'T TRY. I think that, because of her (and because how well everything else was wrapped up in book two) this is my least favourite in the series. It easily could've been a duology with some more pages.

I still loved it, especially the council stuff, Salem's new (er) abilities, Graves and his addictive-you get the point.

I'm sad to part with this perfectly spooky and fluffy world. Watch me reread everything next year. And the year after that. And the one after that.

This was a fun, fast and snarky read which I overall enjoyed!

Tamsin was my favourite character across the whole series with her attitude and loyalty to herself, her species, and her BFF, Salem. Dom was close behind as I found him to be a strong leader and somebody that didn’t take any crap. Spin off series with Tamsin and Dom as MCs?! *prays to the indie books gods and authors*

Salem is very much a badass and I loved her sass and sweary-ness throughout this series! Her powers are super spooky and seriously awesome sauce at the same time. Graves was also the most enjoyable in this book out of the trilogy as he finally begin to let his stuck up attitude slide a little more.

I did feel as though this last book was rushed and kind of wished this was a quartet or another 50-100 pages to have things from this book play out a little slower and to see more of Shep!

Daughter of Death

I loved this trilogy and just like I knew I would i regret reading it so fast bcoz now it's finished 💔 I loved Salem and how could u not she keeps u cackling the whole way through in her sassy badass way.
The whole twist was great u knew something was up with Thana but u didn't really know until it all panned out.

Finding out u have another twin sort of from your previous lives wasn't exactly how Salems trip to the graveyard to visit her brother and father was meant to turn out, now knowing that she could repair shredded souls she wanted to bring them back but with them it'd be harder they'd been dead a while. But when a carbon copy of Salem stepped out of the surrounding woods calling herself Thana that she wasn't expecting but apparently past Salem split her own soul to create herself a twin bcoz she was lonely and why not she was a daughter of death. But even though one thing was for sure Salem always died in her previous lives and came back, chaos always followed her return, she was the reason supes were bound to stay in their haven bcoz the deaths were always high the main one being hers. But this version of Salem was more determined to not let a war leading to multiple deaths start. The problem was eliminating Thana like everyone suggested wasn't easy for Salem, being a twin she could never commit such an act of killing someone close to her or anyone for that matter but when death decided enough was enough and gave her a deadline to rid the world of the abomination. But with Thana saying the answer is to rid the world of death she's not quite sure which path is the right one to take, chaos will reign either way but maybe if she can figure it all in time she can stop history repeating itself and ultimately skipping the part where she dies. Again.

Definitely Recommend Reading 📚

As far as the writing, content and quality of this story it was fantastic. I liked how it played on the previous books, had some humor and was well developed and written. Other then a bit of repetitive jumping back and forth (within the action) I have no complaints. Personally however, I just didn't care for the plot. There was just something about it that didn't work for me and I was uninterested. I missed Sheep Shepard from book one but did love Esmie. 🤷‍♀️ I think others will enjoy it. Glad to have read it.

Salem is even more bada** in this one. Now she has a doppelganger who is wanting her attention on top over everything else going on, with Death coming for her. And can this new person even be trusted. This one really pushes everyone one to there limits and those limits might be different then they thought. The supernatural community in about to change but will it be for better or worse. Finally book in the series, itll grab you by the hands and not let go till the last page.

I absolutely loved the entire Reapers of the Grimm Brotherhood series! While I typically lean toward enjoying the first book in a trilogy the most, in this case, the third book was my favorite. The series had a solid storyline that kept moving forward, which I really appreciated. It never got bogged down or stalled at any point.

What really made this series stand out, though, were the characters. They were all wonderfully unique, never boring, and each had their own quirks that made them fun to follow. I loved how they stayed true to themselves throughout the series without trying to change one another. There was a lovely balance of feminism woven into the story.

Salem, the heroine, was fantastic! Her toughness, combined with her cheeky attitude, made her such an engaging character. But the real gem for me was her Aunt Esme. She had me laughing out loud so many times! I’d love to read more about her.

This is the last book for Salem and Alex's story. Now that Salem has dealt with her family's killer, she needs to deal with the abomination who is after her life. However, Thana is still keeping secrets and Salem has to unravel them if she wants to survive.

I liked the story idea overall but I think it could have been executed much better.

2 1 /2 stars. Ended stronger. The female lead got it together more at the end. Also, plenty of action. Really liked the aunt.

Reaper Reborn is the epic conclusion to wild crazy ride that is Salem! From the first page of book 1 her hot mess personality has drawn me in and I’ve been captivated ever since!

Her crazy life as well as her wild romance with Graves have given me many giggles and many steamy moments that I won’t soon forget! I have fallen in love with the whole cast and crew of this amazing series!

I definitely wasn’t expecting things to go the way they did and boy have I been mind blown! There definitely wasn’t a dull moment and the twists and turns were worth it!

“Careful is my middle name.” Graves raised a brow. “When have you ever been careful?”

I really enjoyed this series! I loved the banter. Esme is my favourite, no lie. She is fabulous.

Reaper Reborn Kel Carpenter and Meg Anne is the third and final book in the The Grimm Brotherhood series.

With changes coming to the supernatural world and another twin in Salem’s life, the ending to Salem’s story is just as entertaining as the first two books.

Side note: every book in this series as some amazing quotes and fantastic chapter titles.

I love Kel Carpenters' work, and this did not disappoint!

This was an absolutely hilarious finale with so many twists and turns that kept me wanting more!

Also, does anyone else seriously want to try the hostess cupcakes she kept going on about? Because same!

The spice, the plot, and the characters were incredible, and I couldn't put this down! The ending was incredibly cute, and I really loved how everything was tied up nicely.

Thana confronts Salem Kaine while she is rejoining the souls of her departed father and brother. This identical lady claims to be another Daughter of Death. She offers to teach Salem about her powers but warns a monster they mistakenly created hundreds of years ago is closing in and Thana would prefer if Salem wasn’t to reincarnate and lose her memories yet again. She suggests they either leave town or prepare to kill a god. Only Salem knows Thana is hiding something and is reluctant to give up her hometown and those close to her. The Grimm Reapers are more accepting of Salem given she saved many of their lives in the last battle, but growing tensions are forcing the community into a civil war. The punishments and lack of details regarding the recent upheaval leads to a vote to overturn the Council. Meanwhile Death sends a message through the ghosts demanding Salem kill the abomination within a week and Thana pretends to be Salem while destroying the town. Technically a demi-goddess is not a supernatural, so Salem decides their rules don’t apply to her but she still has to make a choice: start the apocalypse, save people that hate her, or repeat history.

The three-part series is simply one story, ending on cliffhangers or leaving dangling threads. When you consider the page counts, it feels like paying for your story in installments. The final phase of this story maintains a consistent tone to the others. It continues with poor taste jokes, Esme’s random antics, and there’s a long dying montage. However, the general immaturity is more of a struggle than a bonus this time. The stuff in the background (monster classes/powers, doppelgangers showing how circumstances affect development, the history of corruption for the town, etc.) is very interesting. It just never really gets the focus or development those issues need. Her training never includes information on this new world. The lore isn’t just rushed it is missing or unnecessarily vague. Characters ask questions that don’t get answered, speak in riddles, and lack curiosity about things outside themselves. Further it is a slow burn romance, but Graves and Salem never talk about Shepard, their feelings, or plans for the future. I understand it’s hard to mourn for someone you still see, but you could have an emotional range and deal with grief while pursing carnal releases or hiding behind cynicism. Instead, everything is surface level and falls apart when you think about it. The Brotherhood and council are useless. Is it credible that the concentrated supes of the world turn power over to twenty-year-old co-eds? Why don’t we just give all the children born in town a blood test to check for powers? Everyone seems just a little too stupid to live. Either you are fierce and independent, or you need rescuing every five seconds, which is it? As throwaway entertainment—you could do worse—but it is disappointing that a lack of consequences, character growth, and deity intervention handwaving for a HEA hold this humorous story back. I’ve been waiting to get my hands on this book because after the way both Meg Anne and Kel Carpenter wrote the first two I was waiting to see what they would do for the finale. Both Meg and Kel are talented writers, so I was expecting it to either be as equally amazing as the first two or possibly even more amazing… However, when I was reading through this book I honestly found (for me, others may think different) that this book didn’t live up to the others. Don’t get me wrong, it was an amazing read and I enjoyed reading through the story and getting to find out what happened with Graves and Salem, but truthfully it didn’t have that wow factor that I was expecting to find and the shock factor that the other two books had. If anything I was left a little disappointed, I was expecting a lot more shock to happen, but this one was toned down a little. I know that others out there are going to have a completely different opinion and think that it worked amazingly as is, and that’s honestly okay and not everyone will have the same opinion. Other than that, I do think that both Kel and Meg have done a good job with this book, I still love Graves and Salem, as they are amazing characters.
This is the book everyone has been waiting for, the result of what happens in Salem’s life, I would recommend that if you’ve read the others, then you’ll want to give this a try and see what the end result is.

After the last couple of weeks, Salem’s life has been turned around, so the last thing that she expected was to find was a twin double of herself standing in front of her. At first Salem thinks it’s just her seeing things, but then her world comes crashing down when she realises that it’s real. Secrets are revealed and Salem has no idea whether to trust her twin or not, so she does the only thing thinkable and keeps an eye on her…. However, with something threatening to destroy everything and everyone she’s ever loved, will she realise what she has to do in order to save everyone or is the threat so much bigger than she anticipated???

i absolutely loved this book. my favorite FMC are the witty sarcastic, food obsessed, go with the flow women that tends to drive the MMC in their lives utterly insane and Salem fits that role to a T.
i like to say there are 2 ways to rate a book. on the writing and on the entertainment value it has. i would rate the writing at a 3 but the entertainment value is defiantly a 5 which is why i settled on a 4 star rating.
i was laughing through out the majority of the book. some of the things that come out of Salem's mouth are usually what i like to call inside thoughts. and her Aunt. I'm living for her Aunt. I could read a whole series following her.
I love how many things kinda came full circle in this book. And the story wrapped up nicely. However I think I could have read at least 3 more books following these characters

Overall this was a very pleasant read and couldn’t stop laughing through the entire thing. I read this book via Audiobook and highly recommended listening to it. it really add a level of insanity to Salem

Chapter 19 had me laugh crying. My husband was actually concerned for my well being it was so funny.

This trilogy was amazing. Full of sarcasm, sass and awesomeness. They write seamlessly together. I really have no idea who wrote what because it’s just that good. I haven’t read anything from Kel Carpenter other than this series, but I’ve read a few other books by Meg Anne. But hot damn they work well together. I will be reading more from Meg Anne for sure and I will be checking out some of Kel’s other work very soon.
Salem is stronger than ever in the third and final book and it’s nice to see things come to an end the way they did. It was unexpected how it ended, but it was a good ending. I don’t hate it. LOL. Graves and Salem are my new favorite book couple right now. I love them and they love each other. Full of sarcasm, and it feels like these two are a real couple. Everyone in this series is down to earth in the book even though it is supernatural. I want all these people to be my friends, well the nice people at least. I highly recommend this book!

What a freaking wild ride!

WOW! This series was one hell of a ride! This book, the conclusion of Salem’s wild story, was everything we needed. Salem is even more of a badass and feistier than ever. This girl is taking no crap from anyone, not even her twin(s)! Salem continues to take us on a wild journey, which includes tones of her witty banter, suspense, intrigue and some sexy times with Graves! As always her adventures include murder and mayhem, plus Salem also gives the okay for Esme to let her freak fly! Which she does in abundance making this one highly entertaining story!

“Pretty sure your being in charge is a precursor to the end of the world.”

An action packed, good versus evil battle to the end. Amazing story from the beginning of the series to the end. I loved every second of this series and I can’t wait to see where this amazing author duo takes us next.

Where are 10 stars when you need them?

God what a ride this final book in the series was!!! In these difficult times we go through, this book was the perfect distraction from our mandatory self-quarantine!

Just when she thought she had everything under control and a few loose ends to tie, Salem gets involved in new and more dire adventures. Baaad Salem is more than just a phrase her ghost-brother keeps saying. There's another Salem out there, and things are going to get really, really tough. Bad Salem vs. Good Salem. Who will win in the end?

Get ready for a rollercoaster of a ride, with non-stop action, plenty of danger, unexpected plot twists and lots and lots of cupcakes!!! An explosive finale to the Grimm Brotherhood series, that will have you binge-reading all the books as soon as you finish this one!!!

I LOVE this series - what an epic ending to this awesome series these authors have created.
Love the world, the characters and their interconnection.
My favourite is Aunt Esme - when I grow up I want to be like Esme (maybe not so much the grenade launcher - kinda). Her ability to play to her strengths, she supports both Salem and Graves through it all and the endless supply of weapons, knowledge of the weapons and zero hesitancy to use them.
Salem is a great character, her flaws, sass and nativity makes her a great main character.
Not-Mortica (he he he) and the ghosts are an element that I love about this series, how they provide did bits of the overall picture, without giving 'it' away.
Highly recommend this series!!!

Must must must read

Ok I just read this whole series back to back and can't believe it's over!! I miss Salem already and her crazy personality. She made me laugh and see things in her crazy way. To have the power she has and to still find herself with humanity is awesome!
These books really drag you into a crazy situation and keeps you wondering just what terrible thing is going to happen next. We do have to say good bye to some characters that we were just starting to build on. We also find character that we might never really like. But I think everyone will love Tam that girl is a true sex vampire and should give way to a series about just how they work..... Hint hint well enough from me!!! Read these books but do it when you don't have to work

An Amazing Ride

What an amazing ride! I’ve always been a sucker for a female with an attitude and who can’t help but be sarcastic at the worst possible times. Salem is everything that I love and more. She is fierce, feisty, strong, sarcastic, and most of all brave. She takes whatever Death throws at her and still manages to protect the ones she loves. I am in love with her personality and how she does the right thing, even when she knows that some people don’t deserve that.
I loved the action and drama that unfolded within this trilogy. So many things about this story had me hooked from page one. I mean, how can you not be hooked when the female character dies because she’s looking for a Hostess cupcake instead of watching the road as she’s driving? 😂

This book picks up right where the second one ended this one deals with her twin sister that she found out about them both to. And why the Grim Reaper wants her to kill her sister as always I found her to be a very enjoyable character she was funny. Her romance with a guy was believable Duffy a slow burn since it took them to booked two to hook up. All in all the series was fun nothing to take to seriously but the story progressed at a good pace and made you laugh it kept you guessing. But if you’re not one for happy endings were everybody gets what they want skip it this one everything works out nobody dies she gets to keep her twin brother comes back alive and her aunt gets married to the warlock.

Excellent final installment!

This book was so much better than I anticipated, and I had really high hopes, so it more than delivered! I had all these theories about how it would got and these authors blew them up into something I didnt see coming. Salem and Graves are left dealing with the aftermath of the werewolf and are now facing a bigger threat. In typical Salem fashion, everything is dealt with using humor and grit and Graves. Her and Graves are perfect and Esme is the best character in the whole book. Good pacing and several laugh out loud moments made for a very enjoyable quick read. Loved it!

What an ending. What a twist. I greatly enjoyed Reaper Reborn. Even though she’s still full of Sass and mischief Salem has matured and grown quite a bit. Her powers are stronger and she’s pretty much impossible to kill yet she still has compassion and a strong desire to do what is right for everyone, not just herself. Figuring out what’s hunting her and how to keep the supernatural races from war, add to that all the crazy things Salam finds out and it’s amazing how well she does. Thankfully she has an awesome support team of family and friends.
There’s never a dull moment in Salem’s life and if you like an adventure that keeps you on your toes I recommend giving this series a try.
