Anti-Semitic, misogynistic, and plain ol' batshit crazy.

Brother Andre’s funeral is still the most widely attended in all Canadian history. His humble life was astonishing. An easy read worth reflecting on.

Not my favorite saints biopick, but a solid read. I knew nothing of Brother Andre going in, and, being of French Canadian ancestry, was glad to learn more of him. I saw the review that said "anti-semitic", well, Brother Andre did believe that Jesus was the Messiah and wanted all to come to know and believe in Him through His Church. If you believe you have the faith that can save the world, it would be wrong to try to do otherwise, no? It'd be like saying, "I don't think that Jewish souls are woryh saving". Now, that would be anti-Semitic! Also, misogyny, the man loved his mother more than anyone else in the world and certainly her attachment to him is heroic and beautiful. Last, batshit ol' crazy, lol. Well, "to him who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To him that does not, no explanation will suffice."--St. Thomas Aquinas

A plethora of stars for this wonderful little book. I bought it USED (list price 35¢) and it almost fell apart as I turned the old frail pages, but let me enjoy each page with more reverence.
