Another great book!

Okay! Let’s start with cons! The most annoying woman is Sophia! I swear this woman is a closet lesbian lol. I mean nothing wrong with lesbians 🤣 but the way she pushed and pushed and pushed And pushed for Abigail it was driving me insane. It’s like she was driving a wedge between the King and Queen. She just wouldn’t stop. I was like just shot your mouth! Shut your face! You selfish twit! No way should they risk over 50 million people for one person. Think you stupid bimbo! It’s time travel. Let’s put our thinking caps on. SHES ALREADY DEAD. 1000 YEARS HAS PASSED. SHES DEAD ALREADY. No matter how much time we take let’s solve the riddle correctly THEN snatch and grab safely and bring her back. You don’t risk the world for one life and have all vanish for an already dead person! Stupid fool! Okay, I digress. Now that is over with I really liked the Damious and Madeline’s romance. They had a fiery chemistry. Hell, they all do and yes even though some of that is brought on by the serum there is free will at work here. We have seen it in action. There were some sweet and tender moments and there were some shocking moments. There was this very shocking disappointing moment that actually kind of disgusted me with Damious and Madeline... something happened and then he took her to the bath after. 🤫🤭🤐. When you read the book you’ll know when you read it. I was like okay wow. I didn’t expect that kind of brutality but it happened. Was kind of out of the blue and nothing so cruel has happened since. So maybe it was a one off type of thing? 🤔🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ . Next book should be interesting since it’s Sophias book and maybe we shall see what her obsession is all about. I’m curious about her backstory. I’m glad the king wasn’t weak during the “troubled” times Mars was facing and he did what he had to do. I liked the progression of the book and the storyline. Great job to Scarlett on this. Again, 5 meteors to this book as well ☄️☄️☄️☄️☄️

Now that was a sexy alien romance! 😈

Madeline finds herself at Mars after she and other earth girls are saved by Martians.Initially, the girls get attacked and kidnapped by Mantis because they wanted them to be used as food but their plans are messed up by the Martians when they decide to save the girls and bring them to their planet. There they realize that these girls can actually be mated to them and carry their children. These women live in a "bridal mansion" until they find their alien mate 😈

Madeline's mate is non other than the king of Mars himself! A sexy,tall, gorgeous man that proved that Martians are hella sexy in bed.. :

Madeline is one of several women that was rescued by the Martians, when the Mantis kidnapped them from Earth to use as food.
Now they all live in the bridal mansion, on Mars thousands of years in the future, after going through a timegate. Because of the Martians saving the women, and the Martians females have died off on Mars do to a virus, the Earth women promised to be matched up with Martians men and mated, but all Madeline wants is to see her sister again who has been left on Earth.
Damious King of Mars is frustrated because he hasn't found his mate. Being the king he felt he should have been the first to have found is mate. After pacing the floors Damious looked into the bridal house, by video and saw the woman of his dreams, and felt an instant pull toward her. He then called his medical team and told them he found his mate and gave them her name. Once Damious got verification that Maddy is his mate, he brought her home to his palace. But soon trouble was to come. The soldiers rescued more women from the Mantis ships and a rebillion is starting to form, from men wanting to try to woo the women and forgo the testing. But all Madeline want and can thing of is her sister and being mated to the king, she is hoping to influence him to somehow go back through the timegate and fine her sister.

King Damious was like a child in line for the gifts, crazy to grab his! After all he was the King and he had priority, that he said to himself and calm and patience were left behind. Would his actions backfire? Madeline's priority was to rescue her sister, but feeling the effect of hormones, she found herself struggling with herself to define her priorities, not get carried away by the path of manipulation and achieve her happiness. Her desire for King Damious had her out of her mind and he, not to mention it! His mind was not on the kingdom but on lustful thoughts for the woman. But Damious was not the only Martian desperate for an Earthling and the kingdom almost fell apart for not having considered the repercussions of what they had been doing. Entertaining how they were dealing with their situation and clever of Damious to realize what the real problem was. Some action, suspense, betrayal, friendship, romance and passion.

Unfortunately, her beloved younger sister was not among the women who where brought to Mars by it's inhabitants. Damious is the King of Mars, and he wants nothing more than to find his perfect match among the women his men rescued from the Mantis. When he finds out he has been paired with the young and beautiful Madeline he's thrilled, but he quickly discovers that she may expect somethin from his that he may not be able to deliver.
Intriguing, sexy, and engaging characters who find that together they are strong enough to overcome unexpected rebellion, and side effects. Surprising twists in the plot, a little suspense, and sexy interactions kept me engrossed from the first page. Fantastic.

Being King isn't all fun and games.

Damious is the King of Mars and hasn't been matched yet. In the beginning he is arrogant and demanding. A bit jealous and irrational. Madeline, besides being young and inexperienced, is a selfish, manipulating liar. She is trying to use herself to force the King's hand to go back for her sister. I did like that Damious knew from the beginning and let her keep going. When rebellion overtakes the planet, Maddie finally grew into herself and started becoming a Queen for all the people starting with the Earth women. Her best friend Sophia kept egging on her bad behavior so she is not on my favorites list. Let's just say neither of them is Doris and move on. This is becoming a very exciting series and I am looking forward to Bethany's story.

A mostly enjoyable sci-fi romance.

I initially had a hard time getting into this romance. I had an adjustment period to the author’s voice. However, I found many aspects of this romance to be quite enjoyable. The characterization was a little clumsy, and the internal conflict between the hero and heroine was a trial to read for me, because it included the heroine trying to manipulate the hero to get what she wanted instead of using her grown up words to ask for what she wanted. However, the world building was interesting and vivid, and there was an exciting, high stakes plot, which I really enjoyed. The development of the romantic relationship was also hot and sweet. I could not decide whether to give this novel a three star rating or a four star rating initially, but I did mostly enjoy it, so four stars it is.

Conflicted

On one hand I loved the premise of the series. And the characters.
On the other, the illogical parts annoyed the crap out of me.

Like:
why did the women not go to council meetings (or at least a few).
Use the media to speak their views.
The king should have gone to media to brief them on plans to go to earth when possible. (And ask for volunteers to go fight the invaders, as a suicide mission, etc)
The estimated timeline to work on it, would have allowed them to ask for more ships and weapons to fight them to be built.

I gave rating because of the moments and rest of story I liked.

Wow King Damious you don't get much more alpha than him. How does the king go from being like a child throwing a tantrum to being indeed the hero of the story. As for Madeline I needed more convincing. She was manipulative and selfish, along with her friend Sophia. Even though I understand her reasoning I liked the fact that Damious called her out on her b.s. it was hilarious to watch. Overall a great read. Looking forward to the next book in the series. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.

He was the king and deserved his female. Why wasn't the science working? Then it was and the woman was the one he saw and knew was his. All was right--or was it?

When their plan to repopulate Mars goes awry the King must correct the mistakes and prevent war. Will he be able to do so as well as have the woman he knew was his?

Another good read in this series. Plenty of steam, characters we've come to like or maybe not, and answers to questions.

Earth was overrun by alien mantises type invaders. Madeline and other earth women were rescued from death by Martians. Due to time travel, it's been a thousand years earth time. Madeline's sister was left on earth and she wants to find a way to get her back. But time travel is very dangerous. Madeline is matched with the King of Mars. Interesting story with sexy Martians. No cliffhanger and happy ever after.

One thing I can say with certainty is, the King of Mars, Damious, is indeed the hero of the story. His matched? I need more convincing. She’s manipulative and selfish, along with her friend Sophia. Thankfully, she saw the whole picture, redeemed herself and proved herself worthy to be his mate. Now, the king got what he had wished for, a worthy mate.

Really good romance book!!!

I enjoyed the first book in the series, so I hoped the next book would be good too.
It was good, the problem is that you already know the plot line will lead to the happy ending and actions indicate how it would be. Still, it was sweet and entertaining and would be excellent story as a stand alone romance book. I would recommend it to alien romance readers.

I really liked where this book went!

When the Martians rescued the Earth girls, well, you'd think it would make for easy love connections. But, yeah, no, there are still conspiracy theorist in space AND in the future! This story moves quickly, and has some wonderful characters. The scenes are detailed, and with a planet full of virgin men, they were surprisingly well educated in pleasure. It was fun to read, I'm hoping there are more in the series!

Human Madeline and Alien King of Mars Damious' story there is suspense, drama, danger, war between the people of Mars, a nasty drug, villains, and romance. I want to read the next book. Scarlett Grove is an excellent author who has written an entertaining story. Alien King's Match is book 2 in the Timegate Mars series. The pacing is easy with engaging characters and a well-developed plot. To me, one can read Alien King's Match as a standalone, but to dig deeper, one must read the previous book, Alien Captain's Bride. I look forward to the next book in the Timegate Mars series.

Rebellion

Rebellion is happening on Mars at the same time Madeline and King Damious are genetically matched.
Will these two work out as a couple or will the fact that Madeline's sister is still on earth be the thing that tears them apart?

I love the premise…

Well, you don’t get much more alpha than King Damious...This is an exciting, fast paced, out of this world romance.

I love the way this author writes stories that, while standalone, are interlinked. It means main characters from previous books make an appearance and there’s a glimpse of heroes and heroines in the future.
