I have been dying for Adam and Mila’s story and Tempt Me was so much more than I could have ever expected.
I loved the chemistry between Adam and Mila from the start. The endless flirting between them at the beginning leaves you want more between them. You can feel the sparks flying between them. You can feel that both of them are running and hiding from their pasts but neither of them wants to talk about it. They just have this shared connection that no one else around them fully understands. They can be the support each other needs, if they just let each other.
Adam is charming, he has a smooth side to him that is sweet and I couldn’t get enough of it. I loved getting to see a different side to him than what was shown in the previous books. Plus, getting to know about Mila, other than her always just being Ruby’s sister. They share similar interests and I loved that Adam was able to help Mila when it came to declaring her major and with helping her study.
I knew this story would end on a cliffhanger and I know that there will be happiness for Adam and Mila, but I yelled at my kindle when I got the end. I felt my heart break and I’m waiting for it to be pieced back together, but I know book two of Adam and Mila’s story is going to wreck me even more before it pieces everything back together.
If you’re looking for an angsty, neighbors to lovers age gap this is one to check out!!

Wow! Where do I even begin? Tempt Me is the fifth book in the Hawthorn Series, but the first in Adam and Mila’s duet. I was so incredibly happy to learn Adam and Mila were getting their own story and all my expectations were blown out of the water. These two incredible characters that I fell in love with instantly from their small but memorable appearances in previous books, have burrowed themselves even deeper into my heart. And there’s still another book to go. *sigh*
I sound like a broken record but hey, it obviously needs to be repeated. I would without a doubt read anything this duo writes. They could write about anything, paint drying, the grass growing, and I would be first in line to read it. As silly as this sounds, there’s just something about their writing that fills me with a feeling of comfort. I know my heart and emotions will most likely take a battering, but the feeling of content in my chest and the smile on my face outweighs the pain.
I giggled, yes giggled, laughed out loud, smiled so much my cheeks hurt and felt right at home with the Aussie slang my boy Adam was slinging left right and centre. Incredible chemistry, building tension, sizzling flirting and hilarious banter had me hooked from start to finish. The incredible and lovable growing group of friends turned family had my heart swelling with affection and left me with all the warm and fuzzies.
Claire Raye did a phenomenal job writing Adam and Mila’s story, although they did lull me into a false sense of hope before leaving my heart in tatters on the floor with that epic cliff-hanger. I mean, ladies! My mind, body and soul are demanding to find out what happens next. The foreboding feeling swirling around ensures me there will be many secrets and revelations revealed and quite possibly, some heart-breaking moments as well. I’m nervous to admit, I’m both excited and petrified for the conclusion. But I still can’t wait!

That CLIFFHANGER! Even when I expected it, it still comes as a surprise especially how the authors end this book. I need the continuation of Adam and Mila's story ASAP!
This series just keeps getting better and better. Adam and Mila's story is beautiful as much as it's heartbreaking. They have such amazing chemistry. emotion It's filled with witty banter, sexual tension, excruciating build-up and slow burn with tons of emotions. I loved the side characters and they played their own parts in these two's story.
There's still so much to unpack with Adam and Mila and their own secrets. I can't wait to find out in the second book.

I absolutely love the Hawthorn Hills series and Mila and Adam’s story was highly anticipated since being first introduced to them in the previous duet; and WOW, just WOW... this book was nothing short of fantastic.
Mila is such a fascinating character, she in smart, funny and strong – but you know she isn’t showing/being her true self as she is hiding an experience that has changed her in some way. I found her so relatable both personally, in some of the ways she lived her life in the past, her struggle to find her plan for future and having to change directions and find her passion, as well as the insecurities she struggles with.
Adam, swoon, is both fun and serious, a strong man battling and running from his past. Faking happiness, while internally fighting with himself.
The connection these two share instant, the bond of friendship and attraction they have is hard to resist as they recognize the conflict and pain inside one other. When they finally reach the point of honesty in their feelings, it is a breath of fresh air and oh so steamy!
The anticipation through the whole book is amazing. You are on the edge of your seat just waiting, wondering, and trying to figure all out, all while being given a beautiful love story and watching it unfold from friends to lovers. Wondering if the deep connection they share will be enough to withstand the secrets they both hold close, what will happen when everything comes forward and will see them trust each other (and themselves) enough to share.
The group of side characters, and specifically Mila and her best friend (Charlie) are friendship goals, one of family that share a terrific bond. It was great to revisit the couples from the previous books, seeing the value and love they all have for one another.
This book lives up to its name no doubt- we haven’t even gotten into the nitty gritty of story and I was wrecked at the end but loved it! This story left off with one of the best cliff-hangers I have read and knowing there is much more to come is exciting. Claire Raye have such a skill for tackling real life issues with these duet stories, capturing a whole experience not just a book.
I swooned, I laughed, my heart went out to these characters, and I was left shocked and shook! I can not wait to read book two.

Are you listening to the birds singing? Of course not, this is just me being super happy to dive back in this wonderful series. With Tempt Me we get the start to Adam and Mila story, we were first introduced to and had some glimpses of them in the past two books of the series and I was so curious over their story.
Adam came from Australia and now works as a bartender for Caleb at his bar and Mila just transferred schools and now is attending the same one as her sister Ruby, Caleb’s girlfriend. But the whole reason of why and how they end up there, is somehow a mystery, they are both hiding something big from their past. Of course I have my little theories of what happened to them and it changed over the curse of the story, especially Mila’s one.
Anyway, when Mila moves to the apartment in front of the one Adam lives, the attraction they had for each other starts to get difficult to control. Besides their past, there’re other obstacles for them to be together, such as their age gap or their views of the future.
But I absolutely loved their chemistry and connection, their on growing friendship was beautiful, the flirtation and little touches (or at times a lot) gave me butterflies. It was so inspiring how supportive they were for one another, and I dare say it felt so natural. The chapter with Mila declaring her major was a LOL moment, no one noticing the importance of the matter and her reaction just cracked me.
I honestly dread reaching the end, because I knew from past experiences that something big would happen and even with the anticipation, it end up I wasn’t ready. My heart is on the floor! There’s still so much to uncover about their secrets and now with this cliffhanger a lot of angst and a certain emotional rollercoaster is about to happen. I don't believe there are two book titles that fit the story better than these two. Trust Me will destroy me, I’m sure, and I can’t wait!

Ok, seriously though, this series is getting better and better. And with each instalment, I keep saying 'this is the best for sure', Claire Raye comes back to slap me over the head and serve with an even better story.
Tempt me was everything I was hopping and more, when I guessed that Adam and Mila's story would be next. And every assumptions I had after the last duet, got thrown out the window. Both Mila and Adam think they are broken beyond repair but I wholeheartedly believe they're only just a bit bent. Their connection was palpable and the understanding they had for the other person doesn't even measure. They're kindred spirits coming together and ultimately helping each other without even realising it.
I absolutely loved their flirty banter and the sparks were flying high, but they took their time and established a friendship so deep, that they provided a safe harbour for each other, and honestly, what more could you ask in a relationship.
But my heart also broke, because both Adam and Mila are harbouring deep, painful secrets that are shackling them so tight, they can hardly breath. Watching them slowly opening up, tiny crumbs at a time, was a beautiful thing, but before they could open up completely, tragedy strikes and everything is up in the air, and I'm over here wailing to the heavens for their HEA. But I know Claire Raye and they will deliver, but not before they pull me apart and shatter my heart AND. I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT. Now, I just have to go learn some hacking techniques so I can get the rest of the story ASAP, so wish me luck.
Obviously, this books ends in a cliffhanger, like the previous books, so if you can't handle the anxiety, wait for the second to come out in a couple of weeks. But if you are a masochists like me, dive in and immerse yourself in the beautifully heart-breaking but also heart-warming journey of Mila and Adam, you won't regret it.

We meet Adam and Mila in a previous duet in the series and there is an instant connection. This only grows when Mila moves to Hawthorn Hills and her friendship with Adam blossoms.
I feel like this first instalment in their story is the calm before the storm. We get to see how their friendship and feelings towards one another develop in such an authentic true to life way. It's obvious there are secrets that each of them hold in their heart, but they know when to push and when to let things go for now.
They have a playful flirty banter throughout which I really enjoyed, and even in the vulnerable moments there is a feeling of lightness too. An inherent trust they hold in each other regardless of how little time they have been in each other's lives. Adam and Mila are so good for each other that being together feels so right for them when everything else would feel wrong.
This is a bit of a slow burn, but there is so much secual chemistry between them it almost didn't feel like a slow burn, and when they give in there is definite flames.
Our favourite Hawthorn Hills characters from previous books feature plenty and I'm intrigued about Mila's roommate Charlie too! Seems she needs a happily ever after too!
There's a slight age gap between Adam and Mila which features as a kind of secondary trope. But overall this was a really enjoyable and fairly light read, though after a pretty heart wrenching cliffhanger I have a feeling that all that angst, drama and heavy will be coming out in book two via the secrets we have been teased with throughout Tempt Me. I'm excited for Trust Me and finding out what these two are running from.

This books makes me feel right at home, I mean who doesn’t love a Hot Aussie man with our accent, haha. This book is all Aussie bar tender Adam Cooper who is running from the world and ends up in hawthorn hills, and Mila Collins whose move to Hawthorn Hills is brought forward unexpectedly.

I really enjoyed this book it was brilliant. I have to admit I’m a huge fan of Aussie ‘slang’being in a book, and the special mention of Perth. I absolutely can not wait for book 2 for Adam and Mila, bring on July 7th.

Tempt Me is a slow friends-to-lovers story with a cliff hanger, you’ve been warned! We meet the fiery Mila and swoony Aussie Adam in book 4 of the Hawthorn Hills series. Their chemistry is hot, funny, and angsty.
Adam is the hot Aussie bartender slinging drinks with a mysterious aura. Mila is the fun party going college student. One thing they both have in common is their secrets and ability to hide in plain sight.
With their looming pasts and secrets Mila and Adam can seek solace in one another or continue to runaway from their ghosts. Despite their temptation for one another they’ll have to learn trust to move forward.
I need book 2…like NOW! The story has so much angst due to Adam and Mila’s lingering secrets. I desperately need answers! However let me not forget to mention the hilarious and steamy innuendos between these two! It feels like we’re peeping in on a never ending inside joke.

OMG! Where do I even start with this book!? I absolutely fell in love with Adam and Mila, and we've only just scratched the surface with their story! I am itching to learn more about them and their history. What we learned pulled at my heartstrings. Their story was so natural and I loved reading their connection. They are fun and sweet and swoony, and I love their love story. I just want to wrap Adam in a hug...I can't wait to see what happens in book two! Plus, seeing some of our favorite from Hawthorn Hills made me so happy!
The end of this story just gutted me, and I am dying for book two! Claire Raye are the masters of duets with these cliffhangers, and I'll be counting the days until book two comes out! Just when I thought the cliffhanger for ‘Tempt Me’ couldn’t possibly wreck me like the previous cliffy’s in this series have, Claire Raye laughed in my face and said watch this. Oh my lanta, the ending of this story knocked me off my feet, and I’m dying for book 2 of Adam and Mila’s story.
I read this entire book in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. I loved everything about Adam and Mila’s story, and I can’t wait to dive even deeper into these two characters when ‘Trust Me’ releases. The chemistry between these two is white freaking hot. I love that we got to see a more vulnerable side of both Adam and Mila in this story. They both are outgoing and to an outsider looking in they seem to have it all together. But they both have past demons that have the power to break them.
Hold on to your hats peeps, because this book is an epic journey and will have you begging for book 2 to release ASAP!!

I loved Tempt Me! The truth of how everyone has their own baggage, yet still deserve love is my favorite. It wasn’t hard to fall smitten for Adam and Mila.
I loved been sucked in by the Hawthorn Hills Series! Each one just as special as the last. But I do have to say Mila and Adam have become my favorites! Their story is so organic and realistic. It was a no brained as to why their chemistry was off the charts! Leave it to Claire and Raye to write a raw, and realistic romance hits!
I love the Claire Raye duo (always) ,but I swear not knowing the “secrets” and how book two will play out is killing me! Another, amazing story written by Claire and Raye! I can NOT wait for book 2, Trust Me!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the 5th book in the Hawthorn Hills series and the first book of Adam and Mila Duet. This book does end in a huge cliffhanger and you must read this book before the next one. However, you do not need to read the other books in the series as the Adam and Mila Duet is a standalone.
Mila just moved to Hawthorn and goes to the university. Adam is from Australia and works as a bartender at the local bar. They just happen to be neighbors. Mila and Adam's chemistry is off the charts. They have an easy relationship but have a silent understanding about their past. Simply don't talk about it.

I loved this story of emotional journey. Proximity and friends in common throw Adam and Mila together. Adam works in a bar, while Mila is a full-time college student. Both have an event in their past which left scars.
Adam moved all the way from Australia. Mila changed colleges, with her best friend and roomie Charlie. Definitely a story of relationships and recovery. This is equal parts sweet, sexy, emotional and fortitude.
Family and friends play a part in the journey to grow beyond past events. This relationship is so relatable, realistic and fabulous. Pure entertainment, in addition to the tugs on the heartstrings.

Why Claire Raye? Why must you do this to me? I need answers and the wait for the next book is going to be so long (even if its only a few weeks lol).
I wanted to read Adam and Mila's story since the end of Caleb and Rudy's duet. As a reader I was able to see their chemistry from their interaction in that book and I wanted more. Adam and Mila are made for each other, they both have secrets and I think that just adds to the perfectness of their relationship. Adam is carrying and you can see just how much being with Mila effects him in a good way. There was a natural progression to their relationship that I liked.
My rating : 4.5 stars
Now onto waiting for book 2!

Tempt me will literally break your heart , in the best way possible . MILA and Adams story is beautiful and heartbreaking, full of chemistry, as well as emotion. This is a slow burn friends to lovers strong , . I do not really have the words to express how phenomenal this book truly is .It takes you on the ride of your life , I loved being able to be a part of MILA and Adams’s journey , discovering their feeling for one another , building a relationship together and all the obstacles they endure .

This series just keeps getting better and better. Reading Mila & Adams story reminded me why I love reading the romance genre. The connection/chemistry and friendship that these two had was perfect.
Adam & Mila’s relationship may have started out as just friends but once things became clear that there was more to than just friends, their connection became deeper & their romance blossomed.
This story had so many things that I loved,from the witty banter,Australian hottie,sexual tension,a small age gap and the build up.
This book does on a cliffhanger and it is one of those where you finish and you need book two ASAP but I definitely recommend picking it up and the previous books too!! I can’t wait to continue with Mila & Adam in their next book.

Look I know it’s a duet and I knew a cliff hanger was coming but damn that ending. Just when the tears start flowing it’s done. Fin. The End. And now I have to wait for Trust Me to be released to find out what will happen next and it’s going to kill me 😱in saying this, Tempt Me was the story of Adam and Mila I didn’t know I needed. It was steamy, fun, flirty with and action packed ending that has me craving more! Thanks team Claire Raye for ripping my heart out with my review copy.
