Into the Lighthouse is the first book in a series of adventures following ten-year-old Molly. With all of her friends away for the summer, Molly spends all her time at the grove of trees by the old Lighthouse. At least until she meets the caretaker. He sends her into the Lighthouse for a missing book, but she finds much, much more! Aimed at young readers, this middle-grade fantasy will take them Into the Lighthouse with Molly!
Written by a friend of mine from book club. Got to see the whole process as far as editing and finding an illustrator etc. An enjoyable tale for children. An example of make-believe that children like to escape into.
Read this with my (almost) 7 year old and we really enjoyed it! He kept asking me to read more, and I was intrigued too. Each chapter seems to end on a cliff hanger and makes you want to keep going. Can't wait to read book 2! Very clever and fun.
I read this to my 4 and 5 year old and they actually sat to listen. I enjoyed the story as well. If you liked The Magic Treehouse books you’ll like these.
I have no negative words for this. This was seriously the cutest little story I’ve ever read. The word building and description of Sansnom might have been my favourite thing about this book. 10/10 recommend.
