Well, I can honestly say that this series went out with a bang.

It has been a long journey from the very first book when we met Reid Lawson (aka Agent Zero, Zero, and a couple of other alias that I can not remember at this moment). At the time, Reid was a boring professor with a very normal life, raising two female teenagers. And then his world exploded.....

Since then, it has been a crazy and challenging few years. Not only for Zero, but for his daughters, his friends, and pretty much anyone in his personal circle. I can't even remember the number of times that he (sometimes almost single handedly, sometimes with the help of a LOT of people) but either way, he helped to save the world... MANY. MANY. TIMES.

This book brings us full circle. The girls are grown up (or at least they are extremely capable and independent with a level of maturity beyond their ages) and the story arc has finally come to an end. It was an end of an era and I will admit to just a little bit of moisture in my eyes....

Thank you Jack Mars for a wonderful series where we got to know and love a family that even though they definitely had their share of issues, the cement that held them together was love. Yes, the girls were forced to grow up before their time, but they also learned to handle and defend themselves and each became self reliant. Mischa was an unusual addition to the family that I wasn't sure about at the time. But, by the end of everything, she WAS truly part of the family. And Alan....what a true friend. That man gave and gave and without him and his help, things might have turned out MUCH much different for the entire crew.

I listened to most of these books on audio - or at least I alternated between listening and reading. The narrator - Brian Callanan - narrated the last several books and to me, he became the voice of the series. While a part of me is sad for the ending of this series, it was time. That's not to say that I wouldn't be interested in any spin offs from this world, but Zero's body could only take so much.

Saving the world is not easy.....

"Absolute Zero" is the explosive finale, and 12th book, in the Agent Zero Spy Thriller series, and it does not disappoint. Narrated by Brian Callanan, this audiobook takes listeners on a heart-pounding journey across the globe, as Agent Zero faces his most dangerous mission yet: stopping a thermonuclear bomb from falling into the wrong hands.

The story follows Agent Zero, aka Kent Steele, as he races against time to find the location of the bomb before it's too late. With dozens of assassins dispatched to kill him and his own health deteriorating, Agent Zero must overcome impossible odds to save the planet.

Brian Callanan delivers a masterful performance, bringing the characters to life with his captivating voice and expert pacing. His narration adds depth and excitement to the story, making the action scenes even more thrilling and the emotional moments more poignant.

One of the strengths of "Absolute Zero" is its complex and well-developed characters. Agent Zero is a compelling protagonist, with a unique backstory and motivations that drive him to seek justice. The relationships between the characters are believable and well-crafted, adding depth to the story.

The plot is filled with suspense and unexpected twists, making it difficult for listeners to put the audiobook down. While some may find the plot formulaic, the high-stakes tension and relentless action more than make up for it.

Overall, "Absolute Zero" is a satisfying and stunning conclusion to the Agent Zero series. With its engaging characters, expert narration, and heart-pounding action, it's an audiobook that's not to be missed. Highly recommend for fans of espionage thrillers.

Zero wins again

A great spy series that will keep you turning pages.
This is the last in the series maybe more to come?
Will he pass the mantle on to the three daughters or
Come back to save the USA again?
The whole series has been captivating from the first book, that was free From Kindle And I couldn’t stop reading.
Then I couldn’t wait for the next book to come out.
Looking forward to getting into his other books.

When Zero learns there is a thermonuclear weapon set to go off soon he believes he is the only one that can find it he wonders if it is an inside job by our own government.

With help from his 3 daughters, Penny, Alan and two people he thought were no longer his friends, Zero gets the job done but it is a close call and he is severely injured. The likelihood of his survival is slim but who knows?

Another edge of your seat Agent Zero story with a very satisfying ending.

The final chapter for Zero and I for one am sad to see him go. He survived so many bad guys and endured many losses yet he would still fight for the country. He made many friends/allies along the way and they came though for him here.

It was a good action series but Zero never came out unscathed either mentally or physically and could one person really go through so much?

Absolutely Spellbinding and a Page Turner

A perfect ending (or reset) for Agent Zero. It was amazing that allied developed agencies worked together in an effort for world peace (successfully) not once but twice. I am not going to spoil the plot. Loved the relationship strength among the three sisters and that between the Veep and Penelope Leon. Great book Jack!

A second-rate 'thriller' featuring a so-called hero who thinks so little of himself that he uses the nickname "Zero". He and his group of misfits, including his 3 daughters (one of whom is 13 and a killer) chase terrorists and kill anyone who gets in their way. Poor writing and unbelieveable plot, a book for discerning readers to skip.

4.5/5 stars. I liked the ending of this series. The revelation to Zero at the end there was kind of unsatisfying which I'm sure many people would like to see continued as a sub-series with Zero's allies. Nevertheless, overall great plotline and progressions, along with character development. I recommend it to anyone interested in CIA spy thrillers (Covert Affairs vibes).

Preposterous

SPOILER ALERT. Can someone explain how the protagonist moves 2 thousand pound bombs into second floors and behind walls? Come on Man. Rather be reading Ben porter in false assurances, threat bias and subversive addiction.

Finale...

I found this to be the perfect book to finish up the series. Tight, tense action, infuriating missteps, pathos and humor. Each character within their personnal framework, until... Well, anyway, I despise spoiler reviews so I'll stop here...

Totally preposterous but oh, what fun.
I have read all the books in the series. It has been fun to see the family relationships develop; even as the dad deteriorates in strength and ability, his daughters become fierce fighters in their own rights.

Finality

A stunning conclusion!?!? to this series. So many loose ends tied off. Perhaps the legacy series that follows (hopefully) will continue to keep me absorbed in its richness.

An excellent finish

It took 12 books and everyone of them was worth it
Not too sure how to sum it all up, very few loose ends if any and the potential for a spin off at a minimum

A ghost of Zero?

As usual a good read with a strong cast of characters and unique twists. The question of course is if there is anywhere to go from here?
