After I Break has everything I love—beautiful writing, enemies-to-lovers, STEAM, and paranormal characters—so I’d easily give it a million stars, if I could. I was hooked from page one, eager to learn more about Lux and his backstory (I’ve never read a story with an incubus, and found this to be absolutely brilliant), as well as how the author would bring Piper and Lux from hate to love. I enjoyed their banter, and the tension strung taut in each of their interactions. Their longing for each other leapt off the page. Do yourself a favor and pick up this book. Sercia never disappoints!

After I Break is a steamy romance involving an incubus and a human. If you love hidden worlds thrumming beneath our own, sexy demons, or hate-to-love romance, this book is for you!

It’s no secret that I’m an absolute sucker for urban fantasy/paranormal worlds that are hidden from the general populace. There is nothing better than the tension that secret brings to the narrative. I love it even more when one of the main characters is a human. After I Break has both of these things, and I *love* it. I didn’t read the first installment of the series, but after reading this one, I’m going to go back and read After I Fall, too.

Lux and Piper are a match made in heaven, chemistry burning between them at every twist and turn of the plot. This fast-paced read takes us on an emotional journey filled with love, lust, and a dash of revenge, leaving the reader thirsty for the next installment of the Immortal Billionaires.

I'm a sucker for paranormal stories and this was a great one.

Demons, Vampires and Shifters are an important part of this book. They are captivating creatures that will do anything to get what they want.

Lux, our main male character, is an incubus. And well..I'm very happy when I stumble across sexy demons like him because I know that the smutt will be even more hella sexy 😈

Our main female character, Piper, is human...for now 😏. What she's doing?
She is helping Lux find a lost book. A secret codex that holds big secrets of the immortal species.

Or she isn't. 🤷 Lux is man full of secrets. One moment you think you're reading Piper helping him finding a book and the other moment he drops such a bomb that it makes you think what the hell did I just read? 🙈

The 👏 Sexual 👏 Tension 👏

....between them killed me. They wanted to fuck each other but at the same time they controlled themselves. The overall steam was panty melting 🙈. With one word? It was

I really enjoyed this book. Melissa is a new author to me and it is the first time I read something from her. Her writing style is flawless and you won't even realize how fast you'll finish the story. That's how captivating her style is.

Electrifying! Slow burn! Page turner!

I was ecstatic when I found out Lux was getting his own book AND that Piper would be in it!!! I just knew it was going to be fire. I loved the banter between the two of them. Both of them broken in a way and using words to protect themselves. The chemistry between Lux and Piper is electrifying! I couldn’t get enough of their story. The world of immortals is a secret one and very dangerous to a human. That mix of danger and sexy, makes for a very unputdownable read!

This book and series is entertaining and addicting as well as steamy. You also have a bit of action. It’s the perfect read for anyone who loves paranormal romance reads. Skip adding it to your TBR and immediately start reading this series today! You won’t be disappointed. I give this 5 stars.

Piper and Lux's Story . . .

Piper is a human who hunts artifacts. And until Lux, she wanted nothing to do with men. Even Lux is walking a thin line with his arrogance. But they are now partners in hunting for a rare artifact that others are also looking for, so she needs to stay focused and not let him get to her.

Lux is an incubus, likewise struggling to keep his “eye on the prize”… the artifact, not Piper. Losing focus is not a good idea with the other competition around. Will they be successful in their quest? Can they keep their hands off each other so they can stay alert to the danger?

I enjoyed this well-written book, action-packed and with sizzling attraction between the main characters. Their banter was amusing and kept the interest up. Grab your copy and enjoy their quest.

Not every day I open a book and get hooked from the first 5 pages.
In a fictional world full of fictional vampires, werewolves, and witches, Melissa Sercia gives us Lux - a remorseful demon that feeds on sex. Don't worry, the partners get it all, maybe the most of it.
Piper is a beautiful woman who must resist temptation. The Love-Hate-Lust triangle is so perfectly portrayed. There's more to the story so well written.
The book is a light read with an interesting plot and the story will keep you in suspense.
I think the ending was a bit abrupt but still well given to the reader. And there are two more books in the series.
I loved it.

A new urban fantasy world to get lost in.
I am definitely looking forward to exploring the world more also going back to get book 1 of the series as this is book 2

This book contained an interesting mix of paranormal characters who kept me wondering if they were good or bad in their actions. I was intrigued enough by the blurb to request a copy of this book and review it. I liked the dangerous aspects as well as the somewhat dark world in which they played. Nicely done.

Lux was a demon/incubus and was created by Lilith. Piper was an antiquities collector for a mysteriously owned company. When Piper was sent on a mission that included the help of Lux their immediate reaction was irritation to each other but through their interesting and exciting journey they faced intrigue, danger, and love with help from Lux’s group of immortal “brothers”. Good read.

Talk about catch your breath in your throat make your eyes bulge out of your head steamy heart-throbbing vampire romance. Holly cow from the first page until the last I was gobsmacked with this book. I literally wanted to have some vampire come bite my neck after this, seriously. I loved how the author intertwined the authentic Italian words and flavors within the book. Melissa knew what she was talking about and didn't add fake nuances for flavor, there was plenty of that with these characters. I literally saw the end and was heading right to Amazon for the next book. I was left with a sense of unfinished business along with a yearning to know so much more about so many characters. I couldn't find a part of this book that I didn't like. I won't lie the beginning scene of Ozi threw me for a loop, but by the second I was totally in love with him and forgave the first scene. Great job and I can't wait to read more. I'm hooked.

Lots of sex, but very little plot. Which is okay, and normally would not bother me. But, I found the characters very unlikable, and their motivation not really enough to explain their annoying behavior. Honestly, I struggled to finish the book. The writing was well done, though, and many seem to love her books, so I am inclined to believe that this particular book was just not to my personal taste.

Kind of fun addition to the Immortal Billionaires series. We didn't get to see as many of the side characters as we did in the first book, which was kind of a bummer. I did like these two characters though and getting the dual POV was nice. The overall conflict isn't resolved at the end of this book, but our featured couple is left in a good place. I'll probably continue the series eventually.
