Omegas of Boston #3

All Wrapped Up in a Pretty Little Beau

Rate this book
Did you ever wonder what would happen if a scrooge fell for St. Nick?

Eldan Noelle
He was fairly certain he was related to Scrooge. That’s what he’d been told for the past six years. It wasn’t his fault that the holidays were insufferable. Every festive song, every twinkling light, and every flake of snow, it was soul-cringing, to say the least, and Eldan’s only solace was that he only had to suffer through one more week of holiday cheer. Maybe then those pesky ghosts would leave him alone.
But then Fate decided to surprise Eldan in the form of a jolly-go-lucky, Christmas-loving alpha.

Mason Shepard
Mason wore his old Santa hat like a badge of honor, ugly sweaters like war trophies, and he was truly convinced that he had been raised by elves. He never truly felt at home surrounded by the hot sands of Texas, and every minute of the holiday season made him twirl with glee.
Every day was a gift, even more so when Fate decided to give Mason the greatest gift of all. The only question was, was this guy aiming for the Nice List or the Naughty List? There was only one way to find out.
After all, what’s a guy to do when he gets all wrapped up in a pretty little beau?

This is the review of the freebie from Prolific Works. Will update when I read the full version. -------This story just left you feeling warm and toasty. This is a wonderful beginning to a couple that will complete each other. I was just so happy for them. I also found a new series to check out.

I’m confused by this book - was it about shifters after all or not, as there was no shifting whatsoever. At some point MC1 thought MC2 to be a shifter bunny, which he was not but no other info was given as to this Alfa/Omega shifter (???) universe. Some editing is needed - e.g. from the first time MC1 laid eyes on MC2 he was referring to him as “omega”, then in the middle of the book he was surprised to find same thing out. The whole MC2 hate against Christmas was not justified in any believable way, and it was the center piece of the whole story. Being best friend with an old lady sounded as well outright strange given MC2 age and the fact he has a loving family. Not plausible at all that MC1 in a heart beat decided to leave his prestigious work and family, so that MC2 keep his family nearby and also his mediocre work. Not to mention MC1 behaviour was peculiar for someone his age of 34-5. I loved how easy the story goes though and the snarky banter, so not a bad read overall. Would give this author another chance given the book does not involve mpreg. Not my thing and besides I’m already sick of seeing this topic simply scarcely marked and by same lines at that - constant peeing and baby kicks…come on pregnancy should be much more, else I don’t know why one will go thru it.

All the Christmas feels!

This was a sweet, funny, and emotional read. I loved the juxtaposition of Eldan being Scrooge and Mason being in love with all things Christmas. If you love your stories with heart and good laugh out loud moments, this is the story for you.

Not memorable

I had trouble getting into this book. I tried but unlike the other two I don't remember these characters at until the end. They weren't that memorable in the first place. Sadly there needed to be editing done still. It was just not enjoyable

Winter Wonderland download. Short novella set in Boston, a coffee shop and a mall. Visiting alpha meets fated omega with conflicting views towards Christmas. Plot tracks resolution and the bringing together. Clean story, lots of smiles.

Take one endlessly good-natured guy who loves Christmas, add a grumpy introvert who really hates everything about the holiday, trap them in a shopping mall on Christmas Eve with all the other late shoppers, and you get this delightful sweet romance.

This was a fun and interesting Omegaverse read that I enjoyed :) Interesting spin on the whole omega, heat, and alpha world building with Christmas, Santas, blizzards, and a Scrooge ;)

I've first read the prolific version and enjoy it enough to read the extended one.

Love that this version answered some of the questions I had with the other.

If you enjoyed the first one, you'll love this one.

What happened with Mary? Why does Eldan hate Christmas so much?

This book came out in Jan 2021, but is still really a Christmas story of a Scrooge type character and a Christmas obsessed character.....and it involves not only fated mates, but men getting pregnant (not my usual cuppa....but somehow this sweet holiday tale made me smile in spite of those reservations). This silly, fluffy romance reminded me of a shifter version of a Hallmark Christmas story (you know you watch them).....and so if you're looking for a sappy, fun, light story for the holidays, you should try this one.
