When the world is full of air you can’t breathe, how does one live? What does one live for? Unfortunately, nine year old Astrid finds herself provoked into thinking of these things. Take a small step into her world where dark clouds bring about acid rain that sears the flesh, wide open spaces offer no shield from the elements, and low air in a tank means certain death. Will Astrid find what she needs to live? Will she survive with little recourse? Or will she perish like so many others?

About the author

Jasmine Clark has been writing since the age of seven. Starting with short comics, Jasmine has always loved creating imaginary worlds and characters. At the age of thirteen, her aunt gave her a journal. She began writing her first novel, The Door to Freedom. Jasmine enjoys teaching and drawing, and has lived abroad to further her understanding of other people and cultures. She has written three books, including the self published title, Amazons of the Myst. She currently resides in New Jersey where she continues to write.
